A resonance fluorescence self-absorption experiment has been carried out for the 1,434 MeV first excited state in52Cr, using gaseous52MnI2 as source for the exciting gamma radiation. TheB(E2,0 1 + →2 1 + )=(687±13)e 2 fm4 is in agreement with the most recent Coulomb excitation and inelastic electron scattering experiments yielding (660±30)e 2 fm4 and (634±39)e 2 fm4, respectively, and disagrees with former electron scattering experiments.  相似文献

Using the Mössbauer technique electric hyperfine interactions of the first excited non-rotational states at 64 keV in157Gd and at 86.5 keV in155Gd have been determined in GdF3 and GdCl3· 6H2O. For the ratio of quadrupolmoments the ratiosQ 64 157 /Q g 157 =1.74±0.04,Q 86.5 155 /Q g 157 =?0.07 ± 0.21 andQ g 155 /Q g 157 =0.78 ± 0.06 were found. In addition isomer shifts were observed from which a ratio δ〈r2 64 157 /δ〈r2 86.5 155 =?2.6±0.15 can be inferred.  相似文献

The ratio of the B(E2) values for the 0 1 + → 2 1 + transitions in138Ce and142Ce was measured by Coulomb excitation with α-particles. From the known value of the transition probability in142Ce it results: B(E2,138Ce, 0 1 + → 2 1 + =0.45 +/?0.03 e2 b 2  相似文献

The lifetime of the 331.3 keV 0 2 + state in100Zr has been measured at the gas-filled recoil separator for fission products JOSEF. By observing the delayed coincidences between theβ-particles populating the level and theE0 conversion electrons from its decay into the ground state, a half-life of 3.37±0.30 ns has been obtained. From the measured lifetime and the relative intensities of the 0 2 + →0 1 + and 0 2 + →2 1 + transitions, values of 0.493±0.015 for theE0 strength parameterρ, and of 16 single particle units forB(E2,2 1 + → 0 2 + ) have been deduced. The enhanced nature of theE0 transitions suggests mixing of the 0 1 + and 0 2 + states which may be estimated by comparing the experimentalB(E2) values for the 2 1 + →0 1 + and 2 1 + →0 2 + transitions with the predictions of the asymmetric VMI model.  相似文献

The gyromagnetic ratios of the 4 1 + , 6 1 + , and 2 2 + states in186W were measured relative to that of the 2 1 + level by means of the transient field implantation perturbedγ-ray angular distribution technique. The nuclei in the states of interest were Coulomb excited using a beam of 220-MeV63Cu projectiles and recoiled swiftly through a thin, polarized Fe foil. The present measurements yielded ratiosg(4 1 + )/g(2 1 + )=1.04±0.07,g(6 1 + )/g(2 1 + )=1.03 ±0.20 andg(2 2 + )/g(2 1 + )=0.63±0.13. The sizable disparity between the measuredg-factors of the ground- and excited-band is examined within the context of the interacting boson approximation model.  相似文献

Electric monopole transitions between the 0 2 + , 0 1 + and 2 2 + , 2 1 + levels in76Se, populated in the decay of76Br, were investigated by means of conversion electrons and gammaray spectroscopy. TheK-electron intensity ratios ofE0 andE2 transitions connecting the 0 2 + level to the 0 1 + and 2 1 + levels and of theE0 andE2 components in the 2 2 + →2 1 + transition were determined. The ratioX(E0/E2) of theE0 toE2 reduced transition probabilities and, from the available lifetimes, theE0 strength parameters ρ(E0) were deduced for the two transitions. Precessions of the very short-lived 2 1 + - and 4 1 + -states in32S have been measured using the transient field technique. The deducedg-factor of the 4 1 + -state g=+0.40(15) agrees with the known value of the 2 1 + -state and with theoretical predictions. In addition, the lifetimes of both states were redetermined and are consistent with previous results.  相似文献

We consider the ratio \(\frac{{\Delta Q}}{{\Delta \varepsilon }}\) of the charge and energy fraction carried by particles in the angular interval ΔΩ with respect to the jet axis, where we assume a recursive scheme for the hadron cascade. A measurement of this ratio inep andvp collisions determines the quark chargeQ q at any angle ΔΩ and ine + e ?-annihilations alsoQ q 4 can be obtained. In hadron hadron collisions this ratio discriminates in a very direct way between different production models. We consider the “stopping quark” model, the “two dual sheet” model, and finally a leading cluster model. More data on \(\frac{{\Delta Q}}{{\Delta \varepsilon }}\) would be desirable at higher energies in particular for meson beams.  相似文献

A windowless Si(Li) electron detector has been used in conjunction with the gas filled fission product separator JOSEF to study totally converted transitions in Zr and Mo isotopes. The existence of twoβ-decay modes in96Y,98Y and100Nb is confirmed. The half-lives of theβ-decaying levels feeding O 2 + states in96Zr and98Zr are 6.0 ± 0.4 sec and 0.60±0.05 sec respectively. A search for other first excited O 2 + states shows that no such states are apparent in100Zr and104Mo.  相似文献

The π0 γγ vertex for virtual photons of squared masses q 1 2 and q 2 2 plays a vital rôle in several physical processes; for example for q 1 2 < 0, q 2 2 < 0, in the two-photon physics reaction e + e ?e + e ?π0, and for q 1 2 > 0, q 2 2 > 0, in the annihilation process e + e ? → π0 l +l?. It is also of interest because of its link to the axial anomaly. We suggest a new approach to this problem. We have obtained a closed analytic expression for the vertex in the limit in which at least one of ¦q 1 2 ¦ and ¦q 2 2 ¦ is large for arbitrary fixed values of the ratio q 1 2 /q 2 2 . We compare our results with those obtained previously by Brodsky and Lepage. It should be straightforward to test our predictions experimentally.  相似文献

The nonadiabaticity of E0 transitions from 0 2 + states and 2 1 + bands in 156Dy is examined within a phenomenological model that takes into account the mixing of K π = 0 1 + , 0 2 + , 0 3 + , 2 1 + states and 1+-bands. It is shown that the nonadiabaticity of E0 transitions is due primarily to the mixing of 0 2 + and 0 3 + bands.  相似文献

The 2 1 + level of138Ba has been Coulomb excited with a 105 MeV32S beam. The precession of the gamma ray angular distribution induced by the transient magnetic field when traversing a 2.14 mg/cm2 iron foil, has been measured to be 15.6(1.7) mr. A value of g(138Ba 2 1 + )=0.72(11) was obtained assuming for the transient field strength the Chalk River calibration. The field parametrization has been checked using the first 2+ state in150Sm as probe. Theg value obtained is sensibly lower than predicted by large scale shell model calculations in a proton subspace. Theg-factor of the first 2+ state in148Sm has been remeasured yieldingg(148Sm 2 1 + )=0.246(22).  相似文献

We discuss angular distributions and some kinematic features for jets originating from the decay of orbitally excitedQ \(\bar Q\) states. These can be produced ine + e ? storage rings via the radiative decay of the first radial excitedQ \(\bar Q\) vector meson. We further present the complete and explicit angular distribution for the cascade decaye + e ? → 23 S 1γ 1+3 P j,3 P jγ 2+13 S 1, 13 S 1μ + μ ? in all casesj=0, 1, 2. These distributions serve as a test of the spinj of intermediate states inQ \(\bar Q\) systems. By the photon—gluon analogy they can successfully be applied to the jet process, too.  相似文献

The level scheme of the very neutron rich nucleus 106 42 Mo64 has been studied for the first time through theβ decay of106Nb. Six new excited states were observed inγ singles andγ-γ coincidence experiments in addition to the 2+, 4+ and 6+ members of the ground state band. The excitation energies and the deexcitation pattern suggest the interpretation of the levels at 710, 885 and 956 keV as the 2 2 + , 3 1 + and 0 2 + states, respectively. The data support the assumption of a non-axial deformation of106Mo. A half-life of (1.02±0.05) s has been determined for theβ decay of106Nb.  相似文献

Theg-factors of the 2 1 + and 4 1 + states in198,200,202Hg were simultaneously measured by means of the transient-field perturbed angular correlation method in Coulomb excitation using multi-isotopic targets and thin polarized Gd foils as ferromagnetic host. Theg(2 1 + ) andg(4 1 + ) were found identical within errors in198, 200Hg, while in200Hg lowerg-factor values have been determined. The experimentalg-factors were compared with the predictions of the pairing-plus-quadrupole, dynamical deformation and interacting boson models.  相似文献

Results on the fragmentation of heavy quarks from analyses of inclusive lepton production ine + e ? annihilation are studied. The use of various fragmentation variables is closely examined and their differences resolved, providing a common basis for comparison of experimental results. The mean value of the fraction of available energy-momentum carried by the primary heavy hadron, defined as $$z = \frac{{(E + p_\parallel )_{hadron} }}{{(E + p)_{quark} }},$$ is determined to be 〈z〉=0.67±0.02±0.02 and 〈zb=0.83±0.01±0.02 for an unknown mixture of charmed and bottom flavoured hadrons respectively. The corresponding values of the parameter? Q of the Peterson fragmentation function are $$\varepsilon _c = 0.06_{ + 0.02 + 0.02}^{ - 0.01 - 0.01} and \varepsilon _b = 0.06_{ + 0.001 + 0.02}^{ - 0.001 - 0.02} .$$ The ratio? c /? b can be approximately related toM b 2 /M c 2 giving a value of 10 ?2?4 +4+5 , in agreement with an expectation of ~10. Measurements of the charged multiplicity of hadronic events containing heavy quark jets are investigated in terms of the mean value ofz.  相似文献

Starting from an isospin invariant shell-model hamiltonian, we describe a method for deriving microscopically the IBM-hamiltonian appropriate to lights d-shell nuclei. The key ingredients of our approach are:a) the Belyaev-Zelevinsky-Marshalek (BZM) bosonization procedure;b) two successive unitary transformations that extract the “maximally decoupled” collective bosons with angular momentaJ=0(s ππ + ,s νν + ,s πν + ) andJ =2(d ππ + ,d νν + ,d πν + (T=0),d πν + (T=1)). The method is applied to obtain the low-energy spectra and the electron scattering form factors for the 0 1 + →2 1 + transitions in20Ne and24Mg. Good agreement with the exact shell-model results is achieved. The inclusion of proton-neutron bosons (s πν + ,d πν + (T=1),d πν + (T=0)), as well as the renormalization of boson parameters due to the non-collective degrees of freedom, are shown to play a crucial role.  相似文献

Branching ratios ofE0 andE2 transitions depopulating the 0 2 + states of88, 92, 94Zr have been determined using conversion-electron and γ-ray spectroscopy. Two different lifetime-measurement methods were applied in the remeasurement of the half-lives of the 0 2 + states in92, 94Zr, yielding consistent results ofT 1/2(0 2 + ,92Zr)=85(15) ps andT 1/2(0 2 + ,94Zr)=280(40) ps. The monopole strengths extracted areρ 2(92Zr)=8.4(17) ×10?3 andρ 2(94Zr)=11.9(20)×10?3. The proton configurations of the 0 2 + states are discussed in view of these values and proton transfer data.  相似文献
