In this Letter we numerically investigate the dynamics of a system of two coupled chaotic multimode Nd:YAG lasers with two mode and three mode outputs. Unidirectional and bidirectional coupling schemes are adopted; intensity time series plots, phase space plots and synchronization plots are used for studying the dynamics. Quality of synchronization is measured using correlation index plots. It is found that for laser with two mode output bidirectional direct coupling scheme is found to be effective in achieving complete synchronization, control of chaos and amplification in output intensity. For laser with three mode output, bidirectional difference coupling scheme gives much better chaotic synchronization as compared to unidirectional difference coupling but at the cost of higher coupling strength. We also conclude that the coupling scheme and system properties play an important role in determining the type of synchronization exhibited by the system.  相似文献

从广泛意义上研究了简并光学参量振荡器的混沌同步. 数值结果表明, 当最大条件李指数小于零时, 处于混沌态的两个简并光学参量振荡器通过单向耦合可以实现相同步或反相同步. 当两个简并光学参量振荡器同时实现正耦合或负耦合时为相同步, 当其中一个为正耦合而另一个为负耦合时实现反相同步.  相似文献

We present a simple mathematical model in which a time averaged pattern emerges out of spatio-temporal chaos as a result of the collective action of chaotic fluctuations. Our evolution equation possesses spatial translational symmetry under periodic boundary conditions. Thus the spatial inhomogeneity of the statistical state arises through spontaneous symmetry breaking. The transition from a state of homogeneous spatio-temporal chaos to one exhibiting spatial order is explained by introducing a collective viscosity which relates the averaged pattern with a correlation of the fluctuations. In this Letter, the formation of complex oscillations of the type 2n M oscillations per period at the Mth superharmonic excitation is reported for electrostatic microelectromechanical systems. A dc bias (beyond "dc symmetry breaking") and an ac signal (at the Mth superharmonic frequency) with an amplitude around "ac symmetry breaking" gives rise to M oscillations per period or period M response. On increasing the ac voltage, a cascade of period doubling bifurcations take place giving rise to 2n M oscillations per period. An interesting chaotic transition (1-band and 2-band chaos) is observed during the first period doubling bifurcation. The nonlinear nature of the electrostatic force is shown to be responsible for the reported observations.  相似文献

The appearance of the chaotic synchronization regimes has been discovered for the coupled spatially extended beam–plasma Pierce systems. The coupling was introduced only on the right bound of each subsystem. It has been shown that with coupling increase the spatially extended beam–plasma systems show the transition from asynchronous behavior to the phase synchronization and then to the complete synchronization regime. For the consideration of the chaotic synchronization we used the concept of time-scale synchronization described in work [A.E. Hramov, A.A. Koronovskii, Chaos 14 (3) (2004) 603] and based on the introduction of the continuous set of phases of chaotic signal. In case of unidirectional coupling the generalized synchronization regime has been observed in the spatially extended beam–plasma systems. The generalized synchronization appearance mechanism has been analyzed by means of the offered modified system approach [A.E. Hramov, A.A. Koronovskii, Phys. Rev. E 71 (6) (2005) 067201].  相似文献

通过在互耦合外腔半导体激光器之间增加中继激光器,建立了一种链式互耦合半导体激光器混沌同步系统模型.理论分析了系统的实时混沌同步条件,数值研究了注入电流、互耦合条件、反馈条件等对系统实时混沌同步品质的影响,揭示了同步质量在反馈强度和互耦合强度二维参数空间的分布规律.结果表明:注入电流较大时,满足互耦合强度和反馈强度相同,互耦合延时和反馈延时相等,系统中所有激光器之间可同时实现稳定高品质实时混沌同步;中心激光器和边激光器之间的稳定实时混沌同步分布在在互耦合强度和反馈强度较小的区域以及互耦合强度和反馈强度相近的区域;边激光器之间由于同时接收到中心激光器实施的相同注入,能够较容易的实现稳定高品质的实时混沌同步.该系统可进一步扩展成为实现远距离的双向实时混沌同步或阵列激光器系统的实时混沌同步.  相似文献

Synchronization of chaos generated in two Nd:YVO(4) microchip lasers is experimentally demonstrated with master-slave coupling schemes. For synchronization of chaos, precise locking of the sustained relaxation-oscillation frequency is required, as is optical frequency locking. One needs to match both the pump-modulation parameters for chaos generation and the laser parameters of the two lasers to generate perfectly synchronized chaotic spectra in the master-slave type I coupling scheme.  相似文献

We study chaotic synchronization in networks with time-delayed coupling. We introduce the notion of strong and weak chaos, distinguished by the scaling properties of the maximum Lyapunov exponent within the synchronization manifold for large delay times, and relate this to the condition for stable or unstable chaotic synchronization, respectively. In simulations of laser models and experiments with electronic circuits, we identify transitions from weak to strong and back to weak chaos upon monotonically increasing the coupling strength.  相似文献

We propose a design of coupling for stable synchronization and antisynchronization in chaotic systems under parameter mismatch. The antisynchronization is independent of the specific symmetry (reflection symmetry, axial symmetry, or other) of a dynamical system. In the synchronization regimes, we achieve amplification (attenuation) of a chaotic driver in a response oscillator. Numerical examples of a Lorenz system, R?ssler oscillator, and Sprott system are presented. Experimental evidence is shown using an electronic version of the Sprott system.  相似文献

We considered coupled map lattices with long-range interactions to study the spatiotemporal behaviour of spatially extended dynamical systems. Coupled map lattices have been intensively investigated as models to understand many spatiotemporal phenomena observed in extended system, and consequently spatiotemporal chaos. We used the complex order parameter to quantify chaos synchronization for a one-dimensional chain of coupled logistic maps with a coupling strength which varies with the lattice in a power-law fashion. Depending on the range of the interactions, complete chaos synchronization and chaos suppression may be attained. Furthermore, we also calculated the Lyapunov dimension and the transversal distance to the synchronization manifold.  相似文献

Two kinds of chaos can occur in cardiac tissue, chaotic meander of a single intact spiral wave and chaotic spiral wave breakup. We studied these behaviors in a model of two-dimensional cardiac tissue based on the Luo-Rudy I action potential model. In the chaotic meander regime, chaos is spatially localized to the core of the spiral wave. When persistent spiral wave breakup occurs, there is a transition from local to global spatiotemporal chaos.  相似文献

We study chaotic phase synchronization of unidirectionally coupled deterministic chaotic ratchets. The coupled ratchets were simulated in their chaotic states and perfect phase locking was observed as the coupling was gradually increased. We identified the region of phase synchronization for the ratchets and show that the transition to chaotic phase synchronization is via an interior crisis transition to strange attractor in the phase space.  相似文献

In this work, we analyze the transition from regular to chaotic states in the parametric four-wave interactions. The temporal evolution describing the coupling of two sets of three-waves with quadratic nonlinearity is considered. This system is shown to undergo a chaotic transition via the separatrix chaos scenario, where a soliton-like solution (separatrix) that is found for the integrable (perfect matched) case becomes irregular as a small mismatch is turned on. As the mismatch is increased the separatrix chaotic layer spreads along the phase space, eventually engrossing most part of it. This scenario is typical of low-dimensional Hamiltonian systems.  相似文献

Chaos data analysis has been performed on the chaotic output power time series data from a synchronized transmitter-receiver pair of semiconductor lasers. The system uses an asymmetric, bidirectional coupling configuration between the master (transmitter), which is a laser diode with optical feedback, and a stand-alone slave semiconductor laser. The correlation dimension of the chaotic time series has a minimum value of 4, which was obtained from high-bandwidth measurements. The correlation dimensions for both the master and the synchronized slave are identical when the cross-correlation coefficient of the synchronized chaos is above 0.9. These results establish correlation dimension analysis as an effective tool for the determination of the quality of wideband chaos synchronization.  相似文献

对一般混沌轨迹的相位定义进行了研究,考虑到大量的混沌运动投影到相平面后不是只有一个转动中心的正规转动,给出了两种计算瞬时相位的简单方法.一种方法称之为直接分解方法,它是基于分解的思想.另一种是切线方法,它需要计算轨迹在切空间中的角度.通过对一些算例结果的比较,可以看出这两种方法的优越性.综合而言,切线方法是对任意混沌振动适用的,因此可以被广泛应用于混沌相位同步的研究中 关键词: 混沌同步 相位同步 正规转动  相似文献

混沌系统的相同步现象是近几年混沌同步研究的热点,它反映了混沌运动中的有序行为.用分岔树来研究耦合系统相同步的进程,并用Lyapunov指数谱来探讨系统动力学在相同步时从高维混沌向低维混沌过渡的进程.发现了从多个有理同步的时间交替到完全相同步的道路.还 发现了相同步中的混沌抑制及通过倍周期分岔向混沌同步的恢复.此外,研究表明,非对称 耦合可以大大加强耦合系统的相同步,这对实际应用有重要的意义. 关键词: 相同步 分岔树 李指数  相似文献

This paper studies the synchronization of complex dynamical networks constructed by spatiotemporal chaotic systems with unknown parameters. The state variables in the systems with uncertain parameters are used to construct the parameter recognizers, and the unknown parameters are identified. Uncertain spatiotemporal chaotic systems are taken as the nodes of complex dynamical networks, connection among the nodes of all the spatiotemporal chaotic systems is of nonlinear coupling. The structure of the coupling functions between the connected nodes and the control gain are obtained based on Lyapunov stability theory. It is seen that stable chaos synchronization exists in the whole network when the control gain is in a certain range. The Gray--Scott models which have spatiotemporal chaotic behaviour are taken as examples for simulation and the results show that the method is very effective.  相似文献

In this paper, we apply an iterative parameter adaption scheme based on chaos synchronization to estimate system parameters of the asymmetric vocal folds from glottal area time series. The original asymmetric vocal-fold system associated with recurrent laryngeal paralysis shows chaotic vibrations with positive Lyapunov exponents. Aperiodic glottal area time series from the original system will be applied as the feedback variable coupling the simulative and the original vocal-fold systems. The parameter adaption technique based on chaos synchronization is employed to manipulate the simulative system parameters. The chaotic vibrations, system parameters, and the bifurcation diagram of the original vocal-fold system can be exactly reproduced in the simulative system, and the two chaotic systems can be synchronized. Furthermore, the effects of noise, sampling rate, and equation difference due to nonlinear spring terms on vocal-fold parameter estimations are investigated. Despite large noise perturbations, large equation differences, and low sampling rate, the parameter adaption scheme can effectively estimate the original vocal-fold system parameters. This study provides a theoretical base to apply chaos synchronization to estimate the vocal-fold system parameters from the glottal area data and show its potential application in laryngeal physiology.  相似文献
