In the recent paper [6] we have answered the question of stability for the nonlinear beam which is being axially compressed by a force greater than the critical value and contacts a plane obstacle. The basic idea that was first used in a numerical solution and subsequently in the mathematical analysis was to consider the free boundary problem in the interval in which the beam is not in contact with the obstacle. In this work we consider the analogous problem for the linear circular plate. Numerical computations are crucial here to establish conditions essential for the problem of stability and they also yield the critical parameter values, i.e., the secondary bifurcation points.  相似文献

We consider the homogeneous boundary-value problem of propagation of elastic waves in a hollow anisotropic cylinder with free walls. The problem is solved by a method based on series expansion of traveling-wave amplitudes in powers of the radial coordinate. A dispersion relationship is obtained. This paper studies the circular packing problem (CPP) which consists of packing n non-identical circles Ci of known radius ri, i ∈ N = {1, … , n}, into the smallest containing circle C. The objective is to determine the coordinates (xiyi) of the center of Ci, i ∈ N, as well as the radius r and center (xy) of C. This problem, which is a variant of the two-dimensional open dimension problem, is solved using a two-step, dynamic, adaptive, local search algorithm. At each iteration, the algorithm identifies the set of potential “best local positions” of a circle Ci, i ∈ N, given the positions of the previously packed circles, and determines for each of these positions the coordinates and radius of the smallest containing circle. The “best local position” minimizes the radius of the current containing circle. That is, every time an additional circle is packed, both the center and the radius of the containing circle are dynamically updated, and the smallest containing circle is known. The experimental results reflect the good performance of the algorithm.  相似文献

The problem of the propagation of coupled surface electromagnetic waves in a two-layer cylindrical circular waveguide filled with an inhomogeneous nonlinear medium is considered. A nonlinear coupled TE-TM wave is characterized by two (independent) frequencies ωe and ωm and two propagation constants \({\widehat \gamma _e}\) and \({\widehat \gamma _m}\). The physical problem reduces to a nonlinear two-parameter eigenvalue problem for a system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations. The existence of eigenvalues (\({\widehat \gamma _e}\), \({\widehat \gamma _m}\)) in proven and intervals of their localization are determined.  相似文献

According to the orthogonality of circular waveguide modes, an orthogonal integral identity equation is proposed among plane-wave spectrum of different modes, under the same azimuthal angle index. By using this identity equation, a simple method, which can determine components of different modes, is proposed. In the end, some numerical experiment results are also reported, which show that the proposed method is efficient.  相似文献

This article presents a vehicle routing problem with time windows, multiple trips, a limited number of vehicles and loading constraints for circular objects. This is a real problem experienced by a home delivery service company. A linear model is proposed to handle small problems and a two-step heuristic method to solve real size instances: the first step builds an initial solution through the modification of the Solomon I1 sequential insertion heuristic, and the second step improves the initial solution through the Tabu search algorithm proposed; in both steps, the problems related to circle packing with different sizes and bin packing are solved jointly with the use of heuristics. Finally, the computing results for two different sets of instances are presented.  相似文献

The convergence of the finite element method (FEM) as applied to the diffraction problem in a waveguide in the case when there is no damping in the medium filling the waveguide is proved. A functional space that takes into account the partial radiation conditions is introduced to carry out the proof. This paper investigates the circular open dimension problem (CODP), which consists of packing a set of circles of known radii into a strip of fixed width and unlimited length without overlapping. The objective is to minimize the length of the strip. In this paper, CODP is solved by a series of sub-problems, each corresponding to a fixed strip length. For each sub-problem, an iterated tabu search approach, named ITS, is proposed. ITS starts from a randomly generated solution and attempts to gain improvements by a tabu search procedure. After that, if the obtained solution is not feasible, a perturbation operator is subsequently employed to reconstruct the incumbent solution and an acceptance criterion is implemented to determine whether or not accept the perturbed solution. As a supplementary method, the length of the strip is determined in monotonously decreasing way, with the aid of some post-processing techniques. The search terminates and returns the best found solution after the allowed computation time has been elapsed. Computational experiments based on numerous well-known benchmark instances show that ITS produces quite competitive results, with respect to the best known results, while the computational time remains reasonable for each instance.  相似文献

针对圆形区域分散布局问题, 文中给出了一个带约束的非线性规划模型. 当布局点数量较少时, 通过将模型转化为无约束优化问题, 利用梯度方法进行求解; 对于布局点数量较多的情况, 提出了一个界为1/2的多项式时间的近似算法, 并进行了相应的算例分析, 进一步来验证算法解的合理性. 研究的结论及方法一定程度上丰富和完善了圆形区域的分散布局理论.  相似文献

We discuss the solution of the boundary value problem in a duct with a centered septum [9]. On the lower wall of the duct a Neumann condition is applied while on the upper wall a Dirichlet condition is applied. On the septum we apply a Dirichlet condition on the lower side and a Neumann condition on the upper one. This problem is formulated as a pair of integral equations of the Wiener–Hopf type for which we supply solutions for two modes of excitation as well as real and complex wave number. A critical examination is made of the construction, which reduces the problem to one in complex analysis. For real wave number, the physical parameters are provided in very simple forms.  相似文献
