The relativistic transformation properties of the heavy quark-antiquark interaction potential are considered in the framework of the relativistic quark model. The effects of the pump-polarization in a degenerate pump/probe experiment are analyzed. It is shown that modulating the pump polarization from linear to circular induces a modulation in the probe absorption change that allows to separate various contributions that are mixed in the signal. We first introduce a simple and new method for the quantitative analysis of some nonlinear oscillating systems. It is shown that if the dynamics of the system reduces to piecewise exponential growth and exponential damping phases, then the amplitude and period of the motion can be computed with accuracy in the nonlinear regime without invoking linear stability arguments or perturbative expansions. This method is then successfully applied to the delayed logistic application and to the Lotka-Volterra prey-predator model. For both of these systems, we provide an accurate analytical expression for the period of the oscillations in the nonlinear regime. We study the -Z interference in the process as a means to measure the neutral current coupling of the b-quark. The helicity amplitudes are calculated from resonant and background diagrams and the spin density matrix of the final state is discussed. In the past different models for the magnetic salt vanadyl pyrophosphate (VO)2P2O7 were discussed. Neither a spin ladder nor an alternating chain are capable to describe recently measured magnetic excitations. In this paper we propose a 2D model that fits better to experimental observations. The results of ab initio calculation of energies, hyperfine structure constants and static polarizabilities for several low-lying levels of barium are reported. The effective Hamiltonian for the valence electrons has been constructed in the frame of CI+MBPT method and solutions of many electron equation were found. Using the wave functions obtained the hyperfine structure constants and static polarizabilities were calculated.
