Enthalpy of formation of the perovskite-related oxide BaCe0.9In0.1O2.95 has been determined at 298.15 K by solution calorimetry. Solution enthalpies of barium cerate doped with indium and mixture of BaCl2, CeCl3, InCl3 in ratio 1:0.9:0.1 have been measured in 1 M HCl with 0.1 M KI. The standard formation enthalpy of BaCe0.9In0.1O2.95 has been calculated as −1611.7±2.6 kJ mol−1. Room-temperature stability of this compound has been assessed in terms of parent binary oxides. The formation enthalpy of barium cerate doped by indium from the mixture of binary oxides is Δox H 0 (298.15 K)=−36.2±3.4 kJ mol−1.  相似文献

Heat capacity C p(T) of the orthorhombic polymorph of L-cysteine was measured in the temperature range 6–300 K by adiabatic calorimetry; thermodynamic functions were calculated based on these measurements. At 298.15 K the values of heat capacity, C p; entropy, S m0(T)-S m0(0); difference in the enthalpy, H m0(T)-H m0(0), are equal, respectively, to 144.6±0.3 J K−1 mol−1, 169.0±0.4 J K−1 mol−1 and 24960±50 J mol−1. An anomaly of heat capacity near 70 K was registered as a small, 3–5% height, diffuse ‘jump’ accompanied by the substantial increase in the thermal relaxation time. The shape of the anomaly is sensitive to thermal pre-history of the sample.  相似文献

The low-temperature heat capacity C p,m of erythritol (C4H10O4, CAS 149-32-6) was precisely measured in the temperature range from 80 to 410 K by means of a small sample automated adiabatic calorimeter. A solid-liquid phase transition was found at T=390.254 K from the experimental C p-T curve. The molar enthalpy and entropy of this transition were determined to be 37.92±0.19 kJ mol−1 and 97.17±0.49 J K−1 mol−1, respectively. The thermodynamic functions [H T-H 298.15] and [S T-S 298.15], were derived from the heat capacity data in the temperature range of 80 to 410 K with an interval of 5 K. The standard molar enthalpy of combustion and the standard molar enthalpy of formation of the compound have been determined: Δc H m0(C4H10O4, cr)= −2102.90±1.56 kJ mol−1 and Δf H m0(C4H10O4, cr)= − 900.29±0.84 kJ mol−1, by means of a precision oxygen-bomb combustion calorimeter at T=298.15 K. DSC and TG measurements were performed to study the thermostability of the compound. The results were in agreement with those obtained from heat capacity measurements.  相似文献

Heat capacity and enthalpy increments of calcium niobates CaNb2O6 and Ca2Nb2O7 were measured by the relaxation time method (2–300 K), DSC (260–360 K) and drop calorimetry (669–1421 K). Temperature dependencies of the molar heat capacity in the form C pm=200.4+0.03432T−3.450·106/T 2 J K−1 mol−1 for CaNb2O6 and C pm=257.2+0.03621T−4.435·106/T 2 J K−1 mol−1 for Ca2Nb2O7 were derived by the least-squares method from the experimental data. The molar entropies at 298.15 K, S m0(CaNb2O6, 298.15 K)=167.3±0.9 J K−1 mol−1 and S m0(Ca2Nb2O7, 298.15 K)=212.4±1.2 J K−1 mol−1, were evaluated from the low temperature heat capacity measurements. Standard enthalpies of formation at 298.15 K were derived using published values of Gibbs energy of formation and presented heat capacity and entropy data: Δf H 0(CaNb2O6, 298.15 K)= −2664.52 kJ molt-1 and Δf H 0(Ca2Nb2O7, 298.15 K)= −3346.91 kJ mol−1.  相似文献

The heat capacities (C p,m) of 2-amino-5-methylpyridine (AMP) were measured by a precision automated adiabatic calorimeter over the temperature range from 80 to 398 K. A solid-liquid phase transition was found in the range from 336 to 351 K with the peak heat capacity at 350.426 K. The melting temperature (T m), the molar enthalpy (Δfus H m0), and the molar entropy (Δfus S m0) of fusion were determined to be 350.431±0.018 K, 18.108 kJ mol−1 and 51.676 J K−1 mol−1, respectively. The mole fraction purity of the sample used was determined to be 0.99734 through the Van’t Hoff equation. The thermodynamic functions (H T-H 298.15 and S T-S 298.15) were calculated. The molar energy of combustion and the standard molar enthalpy of combustion were determined, ΔU c(C6H8N2,cr)= −3500.15±1.51 kJ mol−1 and Δc H m0 (C6H8N2,cr)= −3502.64±1.51 kJ mol−1, by means of a precision oxygen-bomb combustion calorimeter at T=298.15 K. The standard (p 0=0.1 MPa) molar enthalpy of formation, Δf H 0 m, for crystalline N-phenylphthalimide was derived from its standard molar enthalpy of combustion, in oxygen, at the temperature 298.15 K, measured by static bomb-combustion calorimetry, as –206.0±3.4 kJ mol–1. The standard molar enthalpy of sublimation, Δg cr H 0 m , at T=298.15 K, was derived, from high temperature Calvet microcalorimetry, as 121.3±1.0 kJ mol–1. The derived standard molar enthalpy of formation, in the gaseous state, is analysed in terms of enthalpic increments and interpreted in terms of molecular structure.  相似文献

Homogeneous manganocolumbite (MnNb2O6) was synthesized from Nb2O5 and MnO oxides. Powder sample was orthorhombic with unit cell parameters: α = 0.5766 nm, b = 1.4439 nm, c = 0.5085 nm and V = 0.4234 nm3. Heat capacity over the temperature range of 313–1253 K was measured in an inert atmosphere with combined thermogravimetry and calorimetry using NETZSCH STA 449C Jupiter thermoanalyzer. Melting point was 1767 ± 3 K, enthalpy of melting was 144 ± 4 kJ mol−1. Experimental heat capacity of MnNb2O6 is fitted to polynomial C pm = 221.46 + 3.03 · 10−3 T + −39.79 · 105 T −2 + 40.59 · 10−6 T 2.  相似文献

Heat capacity C p(T) of the crystalline dl-cysteine was measured on heating the system from 6 to 309 K by adiabatic calorimetry; thermodynamic functions were calculated based on these data smoothed in the temperature range 6–273.15 K. The values of heat capacity, entropy, and enthalpy at 273.15 K were equal to 142.4, 153.3, and 213.80 J K−1 mol−1, respectively. At about 300 K, a heat capacity peak was observed, which was interpreted as an evidence of a first-order phase transition. The enthalpy and the entropy of the transition are equal, respectively, to 2300 ± 50 and 7.6 ± 0.1 J K−1 mol−1.  相似文献

An N-tert-butyloxycarbonylated organic synthesis intermediate, (S)-tert-butyl 1-phenylethylcarbamate, was prepared and investigated by means of differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetry (TG). The molar heat capacities of (S)-tert-butyl 1-phenylethylcarbamate were precisely determined by means of adiabatic calorimetry over the temperature range of 80-380 K. There was a solid–liquid phase transition exhibited during the heating process with the melting point of 359.53 K. The molar enthalpy and entropy of this transition were determined to be 29.73 kJ mol−1 and 82.68 J K−1 mol−1 based on the experimental C pT curve, respectively. The thermodynamic functions, [HT0 - H298.150 H_{T}^{0} - H_{298.15}^{0} ] and [ST0 - S298.150 S_{T}^{0} - S_{298.15}^{0} ], were calculated from the heat capacity data in the temperature range of 80–380 K with an interval of 5 K. TG experiment showed that the pyrolysis of the compound was started at the temperature of 385 K and terminated at 510 K within one step.  相似文献

A thermochemical study of natural talc was performed by high-temperature melt dissolution calorimetry on a Tian-Calvet calorimeter. Based on the total values of the increment in enthalpy upon heating the sample from room temperature to 973 K, and of the dissolution enthalpy at 973 K measured in this work for talc and gibbsite (along with those determined for tremolite, brucite, and their corresponding oxides), the enthalpy of formation was calculated for talc composed of elements, Mg3[Si4O10](OH)2, at 298.15 K: Δf H elo(298.15 K) = −5900.6 ± 4.7 kJ/mol.  相似文献

Summary As part of a larger study of the physical properties of potential ceramic hosts for nuclear wastes, we report the molar heat capacity of brannerite (UTi2O6) and its cerium analog (CeTi2O6) from 10 to 400 K using an adiabatic calorimeter. At 298.15 K the standard molar heat capacities are (179.46±0.18) J K-1 mol-1 for UTi2O6 and (172.78±0.17) J K-1 mol-1 for CeTi2O6. Entropies were calculated from smooth fits of the experimental data and were found to be (175.56±0.35) J K-1 mol-1 and (171.63±0.34) J K-1 mol-1 for UTi2O6 and CeTi2O6, respectively. Using these entropies and enthalpy of formation data reported in the literature, Gibb’s free energies of formation from the elements and constituent oxides were calculated. Standard free energies of formation from the elements are (-2814.7±5.6) kJ mol-1 for UTi2O6 and (-2786.3±5.6) kJ mol-1 for CeTi2O6. The free energy of formation from the oxides at T=298.15 K are (-5.31±0.01) kJ mol-1 and (15.88±0.03) kJ mol-1 for UTi2O6 and CeTi2O6, respectively.  相似文献

The heat capacities of 2-benzoylpyridine were measured with an automated adiabatic calorimeter over the temperature range from 80 to 340 K. The melting point, molar enthalpy, ΔfusHm, and entropy, ΔfusSm, of fusion of this compound were determined to be 316.49±0.04 K, 20.91±0.03 kJ mol–1 and 66.07±0.05 J mol–1 K–1, respectively. The purity of the compound was calculated to be 99.60 mol% by using the fractional melting technique. The thermodynamic functions (HTH298.15) and (STS298.15) were calculated based on the heat capacity measurements in the temperature range of 80–340 K with an interval of 5 K. The thermal properties of the compound were further investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). From the DSC curve, the temperature corresponding to the maximum evaporation rate, the molar enthalpy and entropy of evaporation were determined to be 556.3±0.1 K, 51.3±0.2 kJ mol–1 and 92.2±0.4 J K–1 mol–1, respectively, under the experimental conditions.  相似文献

The temperature dependence of the molar heat capacity (C0 p) of hydrofullerene C60H36 between 5 and 340 K was determined by adiabatic vacuum calorimetry with an error of about 0.2%. The experimental data were used for the calculation of the thermodynamic functions of the compound in the range 0 to340 K. It was found that at T=298.15 K and p=101.325 kPa C0 p (298.15)=690.0 J K−1 mol−1,Ho(298.15)−Ho(0)= 84.94 kJ mol−1,So(298.15)=506.8 J K−1 mol−1, Go(298.15)−Ho(0)= −66.17 kJ mol−1. The standard entropy of formation of hydrofullerene C60H36 and the entropy of reaction of its formation by hydrogenation of fullerene C60 with hydrogen were estimated and at T=298.15 K they were ΔfSo= −2188.4 J K−1 mol−1 and ΔrSo= −2270.5 J K−1mol−1, respectively. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

The two complexes, [RE(Gly)4(Im)(H2O)](ClO4)3(s)(RE = Eu, Sm), have been synthesized and characterized. The standard molar enthalpies of reaction for the following reactions, RECl3·6H2O(s)+4Gly(s)+Im(s)+3NaClO4(s) = =[RE(Gly)4(Im)(H2O)](ClO4)3(s)+3NaCl(s)+5H2O(l), were determined by solution-reaction colorimetry. The standard molar enthalpies of formation of the two complexes at T = 298.15 K were derived as Δf H mΘ {Eu(Gly)4(Im)(H2O)}(ClO4)3(s)} = = −(3396.6±2.3) kJ mol−1 and Δf H mΘ {Sm(Gly)4(Im)(H2O)}(ClO4)3(s)} = −(3472.7±2.3) kJ mol−1, respectively.  相似文献

The low-temperature heat capacity C p,m of sorbitol was precisely measured in the temperature range from 80 to 390 K by means of a small sample automated adiabatic calorimeter. A solid-liquid phase transition was found at T=369.157 K from the experimental C p-T curve. The dependence of heat capacity on the temperature was fitted to the following polynomial equations with least square method. In the temperature range of 80 to 355 K, C p,m/J K−1 mol−1=170.17+157.75x+128.03x 2-146.44x 3-335.66x 4+177.71x 5+306.15x 6, x= [(T/K)−217.5]/137.5. In the temperature range of 375 to 390 K, C p,m/J K−1 mol−1=518.13+3.2819x, x=[(T/K)-382.5]/7.5. The molar enthalpy and entropy of this transition were determined to be 30.35±0.15 kJ mol−1 and 82.22±0.41 J K−1 mol−1 respectively. The thermodynamic functions [H T-H 298.15] and [S T-S 298.15], were derived from the heat capacity data in the temperature range of 80 to 390 K with an interval of 5 K. DSC and TG measurements were performed to study the thermostability of the compound. The results were in agreement with those obtained from heat capacity measurements.  相似文献

Summary Heat capacity measurements of the two-dimensional metal-assembled complex, (NEt4)[{MnIII(salen)}2FeIII(CN)6] [Et=ethyl, salen= N,N’-ethylenebis(salicylideneaminato) dianion], were performed in the temperature range between 0.2 and 300 K by adiabatic calorimetry. A ferrimagnetic phase transition was observed at Tc1=7.51 K. Furthermore, another small magnetic phase transition appeared at Tc2=0.78 K. Above Tc1, a heat capacity tail arising from the short-range ordering of the spins characteristic of two-dimensional magnets was found. The magnetic enthalpy and entropy were evaluated to be ΔH=291 J mol-1 and ΔS=27.4 J K-1 mol-1, respectively. The experimental magnetic entropy agrees roughly with ΔS=Rln(5·5·2) (=32.5 J K-1 mol-1; R being the gas constant), which is expected for the metal complex with two Mn(III) ions in high-spin state (spin quantum number S=2) and one Fe(III) ion in low-spin state (S=1/2). The heat capacity tail above Tc1 became small by grinding and pressing the crystal. This mechanochemical effect would be attributed to the increase of lattice defects and imperfections in the crystal lattice, leading not only to formation of the crystal with a different magnetic phase transition temperature but also to decrease of the magnetic heat capacity and thus the magnetic enthalpy and entropy.  相似文献

The low-temperature heat capacity of Na2Lu (MoO4)(PO4) was measured by adiabatic calorimetry in the range of 7.47–345.74 K. The experimental data were used to calculate the thermodynamic functions of Na2Lu (MoO4)(PO4). At 298.15 K, the following values were obtained: C p 0 (298.15 K) = 237.7 ± 0.1 J/(K mol), S 0(298.15 K) = 278.1 ± 0.8 J/(K mol), H 0(298.15 K) ? H 0 (0 K) = 42330 ± 20 J/mol, and Φ0(298.15 K) = 136.1 ± 0. 3 J/(K mol). A heat capacity anomaly was found in the range of 10-67 K with a maximum at T tr = 39.18 K. The entropy and enthalpy of transition are ΔS = 12.39 ± 0.75 J/(K mol) and ΔH = 403 ± 16 J/mol. The thermal investigation of sodium lutetium molybdate phosphate in the high-temperature range (623–1223 K) was performed using differential scanning calorimetry. It was found that during melting in the range of 1030–1200 K, Na2Lu(MoO4)(PO4) degrades to simpler compounds; the degradation scenario is verified by X-ray powder diffraction.  相似文献
