The leading logarithmic approximation (LLA) for the scattering amplitudes in QCD is reviewed. The double-logarithmic asymptotics of scattering amplitudes is obtained as a solution to nonlinear evolution equations in the infrared cutoff. The DGLAP equation describes an evolution of parton distributions with increasing parton virtuality. The evolution of the amplitudes with respect to the scale in the longitudinal subspace is given by the BFKL equation. The gluon and quarks in QCD lie on the Regge trajectories calculable in perturbation theory. Mesons and baryons are composite states of Reggeized quarks. Similarly the Pomeron and Odderon are colorless ground states of Reggeized gluons. In the case of multicolor QCD, the Reggeon field theory in LLA is completely integrable. The Reggeon interactions in QCD are derived from a gauge-invariant effective action. In particular, next-to-leading corrections to the BFKL equation in QCD and in supersymmetric gauge models are obtained in this way.  相似文献

Based on the quark-gluon contents of nucleon and strongly believing that the force mediators, Pomeron and its counterpart in the conventional approach of Regge theory, for high energy diffractive process would be the tensor glueball and Odderonrespectively, we discuss photo-production of vector meson ø off the deuteron at energy less than 3 GeV in the QCD inspired model in which the quark gluon degrees of freedom and glueball, Odderon exchange are taken into account. A calculation isperformed for γ+D → ø+D, and the theoretical predictions of the differential cross section dσ γD/dt, are presented and compared with available experimental data. Our QCD inspired model reproduces data quite well in the whole range of the experimental measurements up to |t|≌ 0.4~GeV. Our results can be used toextract γn →øn data, which cannot be measured in experiment.  相似文献

The Pomeron-nucleon coupling vertex is theoretically derived from the fundamental theory of strong interaction QCD. The empirical vertex βγ^μF1 (t) used commonly in diffractive processes with a coupling strength β = 6.0 GeV^-1 is initially obtained from QCD theoretically. Our study not only reproduces the Pomeron-nucleon coupling from QCD but also clearly shows the gluonlc origin and glueball nature of Pomeron, which is a longstanding puzzle. From this investigation, we claim that Pomeron can be regarded as a Reggeized tensor glueball ζ(2230) with quantum numbers of I^GJ^PC = 0+2++. Since the tensor glueball ζ(2230) lies on the Pomeron trajectory αp(t = Mζ^2) = 2, the longstanding puzzle that no physical particle lies on the Pomeron trajectory, αp(t) = 1.08 + 0.20 GeV^-2 .t, seems to be solved.  相似文献

Based on the Froissart-Martin theorem,the Regge theory and the possible Odderon exchange,the total cross-sectionσtot and the ratio of the real to imaginary parts of the forward scattering amplitude p in the pp and pp elastic collisions in the TOTEM energy region are studied in the FPO model.We consider the contributions of the Froissart bound and of the Pomeron,Reggeon and Odderon exchange terms in the scattering amplitude of the pp and pp elastic collisions.Using the Odderon interceptαo(0)=0.5,our theoretical predictions are in good agreement with the recent results of the TOTEM experiment.These results show that the Odderon,corresponding to the odd elastic scattering amplitude,is likely to exist.  相似文献

We formulate and discuss Reggeon field theory, which enables one to systematically analyze the exchange of Regge poles and associated branch points in high energy hardron scattering. The field theory is first motivated by a consideration of hybrid Feynman graphs, and then a more general derivation from crossed-channel multiparticle unitarity relations is given. Rules for Reggeon interaction and propagation are formulated. We treat in some detail the problem of the Pomeron or vacuum pole which has α(0) = 1 and is responsible for diffractive processes. In particular the renormalization group analysis of Reggeon field theory is presented and the structure of Pomeron partial wave amplitudes is elucidated. Also the question of Pomeron or absorptive corrections to secondary trajectories (both fermion and boson) is considered. We make some comments on important problems yet remaining in Reggeon field theory; in particular, we stress the study of its s-channel content.  相似文献

A brief survey of the development of Reggeon theory at ITEP and its application to hadron interactions at high energies is given. Basic properties of Regge poles and moving branch points and their relation to multiparticle hadron production are discussed. The one-pion-exchange model for describing exclusive and inclusive processes is considered. Basic properties of the model of quark-gluon strings and its applications are described. Reggeon field theory, its various asymptotic regimes, and its relation to diffractive phenomena are examined. The important role of Pomeron interactions in the theory of the supercritical Pomeron and their manifestations in the theory of deep-inelastic electron scattering and in heavy-ion collisions are discussed.  相似文献

In the present paper we consider the elastic \(2 \rightarrow 2\) -scattering of virtual photons at high energies in the forward kinematics at zero and non-zero values of t. Accounting for both gluon and quark double-logarithmic (DL) contributions to all orders in the QCD coupling, we obtain explicit expressions for amplitudes of this process in double-logarithmic approximation (DLA). First we keep the QCD coupling fixed and then account for running coupling effects. Applying the saddle-point method to the obtained expressions for the scattering amplitude, we calculate the high-energy asymptotics of the amplitude, which proved to be of the Regge form. The Reggeon bears the vacuum quantum numbers and therefore it is a new, DL contribution to Pomeron. Comparison of the DL Pomeron to the BFKL Pomeron shows that contribution of the DL Pomeron to the high-energy asymptotics is of the same order as contribution of the BFKL Pomeron, so the DL Pomeron should be taken into account together with the BFKL Pomeron. We estimate the applicability region for the asymptotics of the light-by-light scattering amplitude, where the the DL Pomeron can reliably represent the parent amplitude.  相似文献

We report an odderon Regge trajectory emerging from a field theoretical Coulomb gauge QCD model for the odd signature J(PC) (P = C = -1) glueball states. The trajectory intercept is clearly smaller than the Pomeron and even the omega trajectory's intercept which provides an explanation for the nonobservation of the odderon in high energy scattering data. To further support this result we compare to glueball lattice data and also perform calculations with an alternative model based upon an exact Hamiltonian diagonalization for three constituent gluons.  相似文献

A model is considered in which a Pomeron is regarded as a self-consistent intercept one Regge pole resulting from a Bethe-Salpeter-like equation in Reggeon theory. The absorptive nature of a two Pomeron cut is crucial for realization of self-consistency. For zero mass Pomerons the model predicts the vanishing of the triple Pomeron coupling and softening of Pomeron cut contributions to inclusive reactions in triple and di-triple Regge regions.  相似文献

We discuss the space-time picture of scattering amplitudes with single and double ladder exchange in perturbative QCD. Particular emphasis is given to the Abramovsky Gribov Kanchelli (AGK) rules which describe the relative contributions of the diffractive dissociation and processes with other multiplicities to the elastic scattering amplitude. Inside the Pomeron Pomeron interaction vertices we find a new matrix which describes the transition from one s-cut to another and which goes beyond the original AGK rules.  相似文献

We initially propose a Reggeon-Pomeron exchange model to describe proton-proton elastic scattering at high energies in this short paper. A calculation for total cross section of proton-proton elastic scattering at high energies is performed without any free parameters. Our new finding from this work is that the Reggeon-Pomeron model gives a perfect fit to experimental data of the total cross section at the whole energy region where experimental data exist.  相似文献

We claimed that the pomeron may be the tenser glueball ξ(2 230) with quantum number I G =0 +, J PC =2 ++ . Under this reggeized glueball model the cross section of high energy proton proton scattering and the coupling parameter of the pomeron nucleon, β , are calculated. We study the vector meson electro-production off the proton in a QCD inspired model.A calculation of the differential cross section is performed for the J/ψ,φ meson off the proton.The theoretical results are consistent with the experimental data,and remind us to consider the contribution from the tensor glueball and Odderon to the differential cross section.Since gluons interact among themselves via self-interaction,the gluons can form a glueball with quantum numbers IG,JPC =0+,2++,with a decay width Γt =100 MeV and mass of mG = 2.23 GeV.The three gluons can form a three gluon color bound state with charge conjugation quantum number C =-1.This study is quite important to verify the validity of QCD and to search for new particles(tensor glueball and Odderon) as well as quest for new physics.  相似文献

We present a study of associated ηc and γ double diffractive production in pp^- collision based on Ingelman-Schlein model, and the framework of non-relativistic QOD factorization formalism for quarkonia production. The prediction of ηc and γ is more reliable than J/ψ production, because the associated ηc and γ production is a pure color-octet process, and the dominant contribution comes from color octet ^1S0^(8) subprocess, which is related to the color octet matrix element of ^1S0(8) of J/ψ by the heavy quark spin symmetry and the large PT J/ψ production data. We find that the ratio of diffractive to inclusive cross sections is independent of the values of color octet matrix elements, but is sensitive to the gluon factor of the Pomeron and renormalized Pomeron flux factors. So experimental measurement of this ratio can give us more information of the nature of Pomeron and test the assumption of hard diffractive factorization in hadron-hadron collisions.  相似文献

We apply the phenomenological Reggeon field theory framework to investigate rapidity gap survival (RGS) probability for diffractive dijet production in proton–proton collisions. In particular, we study in some detail rapidity gap suppression due to elastic rescatterings of intermediate partons in the underlying parton cascades, described by enhanced (Pomeron–Pomeron interaction) diagrams. We demonstrate that such contributions play a subdominant role, compared to the usual, so-called “eikonal”, rapidity gap suppression due to elastic rescatterings of constituent partons of the colliding protons. On the other hand, the overall RGS factor proves to be sensitive to color fluctuations in the proton. Hence, experimental data on diffractive dijet production can be used to constrain the respective model approaches.  相似文献

Based on the generalized vector meson dominance model in QCD, we study the photoproduction of vector meson Υ off the proton by use of the QCD-inspired model in which the contributions from quark–quark, gluon–gluon and quark–gluon interference term to observable are taken into consideration. Calculations are performed for total cross section σtot, differential cross section dσ/dt, ratio of the real part to imaginary part of forward scattering amplitude ρ and nuclear slop parameter function β. We analyze the individual contributions from quark gluon degrees of freedom and the QCD Odderon to the total cross section σtot (s), differential cross section dσ/dt, ratio of the real part to imaginary part of the forward scattering amplitude ρ, and nuclear slop parameter function β. The mediators of interactions between projectiles (the quark and antiquark pair fluctuated from the real photon) and the proton target (three quark system) are the tensor Glueball and Odderon instead of using the usual Pomeron exchange. The theoretical predictions for σtot(s) are consistent with the experimental data within error bars of the data. The data for dσ/dt, β and ρ are urgently needed. The gluon–gluon interaction makes a significant contribution to the observables while the Odderon contribution is negligibly small. Therefore, we may conclude that it is impossible to find the QCD Odderon in the γ+p→Υ+p process as suggested before.  相似文献
