In this note we define fibrations of topological stacks and establish their main properties. When restricted to topological spaces, our notion of fibration coincides with the classical one. We prove various standard results about fibrations (long exact sequence for homotopy groups, Leray–Serre and Eilenberg–Moore spectral sequences, etc.). We prove various criteria for a morphism of topological stacks to be a fibration, and use these to produce examples of fibrations. We prove that every morphism of topological stacks factors through a fibration and construct the homotopy fiber of a morphism of topological stacks. As an immediate consequence of the machinery we develop, we also prove van Kampen?s theorem for fundamental groups of topological stacks.  相似文献

We introduce a new function space that is much finer than the classical Lebesgue spaces, and investigate the continuity and the discontinuity of the Calderón–Zygmund operators on the new weighted spaces. In order to identify the continuity of singular integrals, we prove an interpolation theorem on the new spaces and propose a concept of the spectrum of base functions.  相似文献

In this article, by extending classical Dellacherie's theorem on stochastic sequences to variable exponent spaces, we prove that the famous Burkholder-Gundy-Davis inequality holds for martingales in variable exponent Hardy spaces. We also obtain the variable exponent analogues of several martingale inequalities in classical theory, including convexity lemma, Chevalier's inequality and the equivalence of two kinds of martingale spaces with predictable control. Moreover, under the regular condition on σ-algebra sequence we prove the equivalence between five kinds of variable exponent martingale Hardy spaces.  相似文献

In this paper we define a new type of modular convergence by using the notion of the relatively uniform convergence. We prove a Korovkin-type approximation theorem via this type of convergence in modular spaces. We introduce Hochschild (co-)homology of morphisms of schemes or analytic spaces and study its fundamental properties. In analogy with the cotangent complex we introduce the so-called (derived) Hochschild complex of a morphism; the Hochschild cohomology and homology groups are then the Ext and Tor groups of that complex. We prove that these objects are well defined, extend the known cases, and have the expected functorial and homological properties such as graded commutativity of Hochschild cohomology and existence of the characteristic homomorphism from Hochschild cohomology to the (graded) centre of the derived category.  相似文献

We establish two theorems that refine the classical Stone duality between generalized Boolean algebras and locally compact Boolean spaces. In the first theorem, we prove that the category of left-handed skew Boolean algebras whose morphisms are proper skew Boolean algebra homomorphisms is equivalent to the category of étale spaces over locally compact Boolean spaces whose morphisms are étale space cohomomorphisms over continuous proper maps. In the second theorem, we prove that the category of left-handed skew Boolean -algebras whose morphisms are proper skew Boolean -algebra homomorphisms is equivalent to the category of étale spaces with compact clopen equalizers over locally compact Boolean spaces whose morphisms are injective étale space cohomomorphisms over continuous proper maps.  相似文献

We prove an asymptotic analog of the classical Hurewicz theorem on mappings that lower dimension. This theorem allows us to find sharp upper bound estimates for the asymptotic dimension of groups acting on finite-dimensional metric spaces and allows us to prove a useful extension theorem for asymptotic dimension. As applications we find upper bound estimates for the asymptotic dimension of nilpotent and polycyclic groups in terms of their Hirsch length. We are also able to improve the known upper bounds on the asymptotic dimension of fundamental groups of complexes of groups, amalgamated free products and the hyperbolization of metric spaces possessing the Higson property.

This paper deals with a viscosity iterative method, in real Hilbert spaces, for solving a system of variational inequalities over the fixed-point sets of possibly discontinuous mappings. Under classical conditions, we prove a strong convergence theorem for our method. The proposed algorithm can be applied for instance to solving variational inequalities in some situations when the projection methods fail. Moreover, the techniques of analysis are novel and provide new tools in designing approximation schemes for combined and bilevel optimization problems.  相似文献

We prove a vector space analog of a version of the Kruskal-Katona theorem due to Lovász. We apply this result to extend Frankl's theorem on r-wise intersecting families to vector spaces. In particular, we obtain a short new proof of the Erd?s-Ko-Rado theorem for vector spaces.  相似文献

Summary. The main result of this article is a general vanishing theorem for the cohomology of tensorial representations of an ample vector bundle on a smooth complex projective variety. In particular, we extend classical theorems of Griffiths and Le Potier to the whole Dolbeault cohomology, prove a variant of an uncorrect conjecture of Sommese, and answer a question of Demailly. As an application, we prove conjectures of Debarre and Kim for branched coverings of grassmannians, and extend a well-known Barth–Lefschetz type theorem for branched covers of projective spaces, due to Lazarsfeld. We prove new extended forms of the Pólya-Szegö symmetrization principle. As a consequence new sharp embedding theorems for generalized Besov spaces are proved, including a sharpening of the limiting cases of the classical Sobolev embedding theorem. In particular, a surprising self-improving property of certain Sobolev embeddings is uncovered.

Abstract

The idea of statistical relative convergence on modular spaces has been introduced by Orhan and Demirci. The notion of σ-statistical convergence was introduced by Mursaleen and Edely and further extended based on a fractional order difference operator by Kadak. The concern of this paper is to define two new summability methods for double sequences by combining the concepts of statistical relative convergence and σ-statistical convergence in modular spaces. Furthermore, we give some inclusion relations involving the newly proposed methods and present an illustrative example to show that our methods are nontrivial generalizations of the existing results in the literature. We also prove a Korovkin-type approximation theorem and estimate the rate of convergence by means of the modulus of continuity. Finally, using the bivariate type of Stancu-Schurer-Kantorovich operators, we display an example such that our approximation results are more powerful than the classical, statistical, and relative modular cases of Korovkin-type approximation theorems.  相似文献

We prove some properties of positive polynomial mappings between Riesz spaces, using finite difference calculus. We prove a Lagrange multipliers theorem for a class of functions that are derivable along directions in a linear subspace of a Banach space where they are defined. Our result is available for topological linear vector spaces and is stronger than the classical one even for two-dimensional spaces, because we only require the differentiablity of functions at critical points. Applying these results we generalize the Lax-Milgram theorem. Some applications in variational inequalities and quasilinear elliptic equations are given.

 We prove the following general homotopy invariance theorem for coherent Witt groups: Let be a flat morphism of separated Gorenstein schemes of finite Krull dimension with affine fibers,i.e. π−1(y) is an affine space over the residue field k(y) for all yY, then the induced homomorphism of coherent Witt groups is an isomorphism. As an application we calculate the (classical) Witt group of the affine hyperbolic sphere over a regular local ring. In this paper the operator-valued martingale transform inequalities in rearrangement invariant function spaces are proved. Some well-known results are generalized and unified. Applications are given to classical operators such as the maximal operator and the p-variation operator of vector-valued martingales, then we can very easily obtain some new vector-valued martingale inequalities in rearrangement invariant function spaces. These inequalities are closely related to both the geometrical properties of the underlying Banach spaces and the Boyd indices of the rearrangement invariant function spaces. Finally we give an equivalent characterization of UMD Banach lattices, and also prove the Fefferman-Stein theorem in the rearrangement invariant function spaces setting.  相似文献

We develop the theory of higher prolongations of algebraic varieties over fields in arbitrary characteristic with commuting Hasse-Schmidt derivations. Prolongations were introduced by Buium in the context of fields of characteristic 0 with a single derivation. Inspired by work of Vojta, we give a new construction of higher prolongations in a more general context. Generalizing a result of Buium in characteristic 0, we prove that these prolongations are represented by a certain functor, which shows that they can be viewed as ‘twisted jet spaces.’ We give a new proof of a theorem of Moosa, Pillay and Scanlon that the prolongation functor and jet space functor commute. We also prove that the m-th prolongation and m-th jet space of a variety are differentially isomorphic by showing that their infinite prolongations are isomorphic as schemes.  相似文献

We continue our study on infinitesimal lifting properties of maps between locally noetherian formal schemes started in [L. Alonso Tarrío, A. Jeremías López, M. Pérez Rodríguez, Infinitesimal lifting and Jacobi criterion for smoothness on formal schemes, Comm. Alg. 35 (2007) 1341-1367]. In this paper, we focus on some properties which arise specifically in the formal context. In this vein, we make a detailed study of the relationship between the infinitesimal lifting properties of a morphism of formal schemes and those of the corresponding maps of usual schemes associated to the directed systems that define the corresponding formal schemes. Among our main results, we obtain the characterization of completion morphisms as pseudo-closed immersions that are flat. Also, the local structure of smooth and étale morphisms between locally noetherian formal schemes is described: the former factors locally as a completion morphism followed by a smooth adic morphism and the latter as a completion morphism followed by an étale adic morphism.  相似文献
