In this paper we present a software package for computational modeling of single particle motion in static and dynamic external magnetic and electric fields and show applications of our package to general cases and particular cases of space, laboratory and fusion plasmas. In addition we further elaborate on the properties of a new concept named Larmor Center Trajectory that we introduced in our previous work [D. Erzen, J.P. Verboncoeur, J. Duhovnik, N. Jeli, Int. J. Multiphys. 1, 419 (2007)] as a generalization of the well known guiding center approximation, and show the ranges of applicability of this concept, especially in strongly inhomogeneous fields when adiabatic approximations break.  相似文献

The dynamics of charged particle beams under the influence of their self-magnetic field and an external magnetic field is examined on the basis of equations for the trajectory of a boundary particle. A study is made of the change in the dynamics of fast particles due to the influence of the electric field of the partially neutralized space charge of the beam, the stationary electric field, and the field of the oscillations in the quasineutral beam plasma. Changes in the total beam energy caused by the self-electric field and in the longitudinal velocity owing to the self-magnetic field are taken into account. Zh. Tekh. We solve the Schr?dinger equation with a position-dependent mass(PDM) charged particle interacted via the superposition of the Morse-plus-Coulomb potentials and is under the influence of external magnetic and Aharonov–Bohm(AB) flux fields. The nonrelativistic bound state energies together with their wave functions are calculated for two spatially-dependent mass distribution functions. We also study the thermal quantities of such a system. Further, the canonical formalism is used to compute various thermodynamic variables for second choosing mass by using the Gibbs formalism. We give plots for energy states as a function of various physical parameters. The behavior of the internal energy, specific heat, and entropy as functions of temperature and mass density parameter in the inverse-square mass case for different values of magnetic field are shown.  相似文献

The space-space component of the photon polarization operator is calculated in zero frequency limit for a medium with Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) of electrically charged particles. It is found that the polarization operator tends to a finite value at vanishing photon 3-momentum, as it happens in superconducting media. It means that magnetic fields are exponentially screened in such a medium analogously to the Debye screening of electric charges. At non-zero temperature the screened magnetic field oscillates and contains a contribution which drops only as a power of distance. This phenomenon is unknown for superconductors, even in BEC phase and can be potentially observable.  相似文献

The nonlinear collision integral for the Green’s function averaged over a random magnetic field is transformed using an iteration procedure taking account of the strong random scattering of particles on the correlation length of the random magnetic field. Under this transformation the regular magnetic field is assumed to be uniform at distances of the order of the correlation length. The single-particle Green’s functions of the scattered particles in the presence of a regular magnetic field are investigated. The transport coefficients are calculated taking account of the broadening of the cyclotron and Cherenkov resonances as a result of strong random scattering. The mean-free path lengths parallel and perpendicular to the regular magnetic field are found for a power-law spectrum of the random field. The analytical results obtained are compared with the experimental data on the transport ranges of solar and galactic cosmic rays in the interplanetary magnetic field. As a result, the conditions for the propagation of cosmic rays in the interplanetary space and a more accurate idea of the structure of the interplanetary magnetic field are determined.  相似文献

We have studied the magnetotransport properties of p-InMnAs layers in strong (up to 30 T) pulsed magnetic fields. The p-InMnAs layers were obtained by laser plasma deposition with subsequent annealing by radiation of a pulsed ruby laser. Under anomalous Hall effect conditions in a strong magnetic field (above 20 T), the Hall resistance in the paramagnetic region of temperatures is greater than that in the ferromagnetic region (below 40 K). It has also been established that, at helium temperatures, the negative magnetoresistance exhibits saturation in a field of about 10 T, whereas the anomalous Hall effect is saturated at about 2 T. At T ≈ 4 K, the resistance in a field of 10 T exhibits a more than tenfold decrease. The results are explained by a mesoscopically inhomogeneous distribution of the acceptor (Mn) impurity, a local ferromagnetic transition, and a percolation character of the conductivity of p-InMnAs films in a state close to the insulator-metal phase transition. The characteristic scale of magnetoelectric inhomogeneity in the system is evaluated based on an analysis of mesoscopic fluctuations of the nondiagonal component of the magnetoresistance tensor.  相似文献

The influence of a magnetic field and an optical laser field on the orientational behavior of a ferronematic with positive magnetic and dielectric anisotropy is investigated. A slow transition from the homeotropic to the distorted alignment of the nematic director is found when the field strengths exceed certain threshold values. A correlation between the threshold values of the two fields is obtained and a phase diagram for this transition is determined. It is also found that in the presence of the two fields the distorted arrangement is more stable than the homeotropic one (its free energy per unit area is smaller).  相似文献
