基于非线性耦合薛定谔方程,在非线性偏振技术锁模的掺铒环形光纤激光器中,理论研究多孤子脉冲的形成和演化规律。研究结果表明:随着小信号增益不断增加,光纤激光器的锁模透过率函数影响多脉冲输出,多脉冲产生受色散波和脉冲分裂形成的峰值功率的限制效应和孤子能量量子化的影响,这是增益竞争和非线性偏振旋转引起的损耗之间动态平衡的最终结果。 相似文献

采用单端连续抽运方式, 对自由运转的双包层掺镱光纤激光器的输出特性进行了详细的实验研究. 实验中不但观察到了自脉冲, 而且首次在自由运转的光纤激光器中观察到自锁模现象, 对它们产生的物理机理进行了相应的理论分析. 分析表明: 增益光纤的弱(未) 抽运部分对信号光的吸收导致光纤激光器内自脉冲的出现, 轴向模之间的拍频和自相位调制导致自锁模现象的出现, 而受激拉曼散射、 受激布里渊散射等非线性效应使它们进一步增强. 当抽运光功率略高于阈值时, 自脉冲宽度比较宽, 随抽运光功率增加自脉冲的脉宽变窄; 自脉冲包络面内的自锁模脉冲的宽度随抽运光功率增加也变窄, 进一步增加抽运光功率, 自脉冲和自脉冲包络面内的自锁模现象消失. 实验测得自锁模脉冲的间隔为224 ns, 最大(小) 自锁模脉冲的半高全宽约为35.0 ns (6.3 ns); 测得信号光的中心波长为1090 nm, 谱线半高全宽的最大(小) 值约为7.05 nm (2.01 nm). 相似文献

We demonstrate a novel approach to achieve wavelength-tunable ultrashort pulses from an all-fiber mode-locked laser with a saturable absorber based on the nonlinear Kerr beam clean-up effect. Based on the nonlinear polarization rotation (NPR) technique and a fiber Mach–Zehnder interferometer (MZI), a fiber laser which can work in two different modes has been demonstrated. In one mode, it works as a continuous wave (CW) multiwavelength laser, and stable dual-, triple- and tetra-wavelength lasing with the wavelength spacing of 1.1 nm are obtained. In the other mode, it works as a passively mode-locked fiber laser, and the generated pulses have a repetition rate of 10.6 MHz, an FWHM width of 800 ps and the largest energy of 1 nJ. The multi-functional property makes this fiber laser a very convenient, cost effective and multi-purpose laser source. 相似文献

搭建了基于反射型体光栅和半导体可饱和吸收镜的线型腔全正色散掺镱光纤激光器,室温下实现了稳定的波长可连续调谐的连续被动锁模脉冲输出.重复频率16.42 MHz,锁模脉冲中心波长1030 nm时,脉冲光潜带宽0.32 nm,最大平均输出功率10.2 mW,单脉冲能量0.63 nJ.转动体光栅角度,利用其分光谱和选波长的特性,可使锁模脉冲的中心波长在约1011.9一1050.6 nm的范围内调谐,调谐范围约38.7 nm.实验中亦可观察到调Q锁模、二次谐波锁模、双波长和三波长输出现象.输出单波长锁模脉冲时,由于其波长可调谐的特性,该激光器可用作波分复用/光时分复用通信系统的光源和光学相干层析的调谐光源. 相似文献

报道了一种带有周期性双折射光纤滤波器的全正色散多波长被动锁模耗散孤子掺镱光纤激光器. 通过数值模拟发现加入滤波器后激光器能输出多波长耗散孤子脉冲, 调节滤波器带宽大小可以得到不同波长个数和波长间隔的多波长锁模耗散孤子脉冲. 在激光器产生的四波长和五波长耗散孤子脉冲中观察到了耗散孤子分子, 并且通过调节滤波器参数和饱和功率可以改变多波长脉冲中耗散孤子分子的个数和波长. 这是在被动锁模光纤激光器中首次实现包含有耗散孤子分子的多波长脉冲. 另外还在实验上实现了全正色散双波长被动锁模耗散孤子的产生.

In this linear-cavity passively mode-locked laser based on semiconductor saturable absorber mirror,an Ybdoped fiber is shared by two branch cavities as gain medium.These two cavities can respectively output single-wavelength pulse with the wavelength tuning range of 1 009.7-1 057.6 nm and 1 011.6-1 052.6 nm by adjusting volume Bragg grating.When two cavities output pulses together,the dual-wavelength pulses with the maximum and minimum wavelength separation of 34.8 and 2.4 nm,respectively,are achieved by net gain equalization method to suppress mode competition at room temperature.The maximum pulse energies of dual-wavelength pulses are 0.47 and 0.33 nJ separately;their repetition rates are 11.39 and 11.41 MHz. 相似文献

We report passive harmonic mode locking of a high-power Yb-doped double-clad fiber laser. 680-fs, 48-pJ pulses are emitted at the repetition rate of 2.13 GHz, while the free spectral range of the cavity is 23.4 MHz. Results indicate a supermode suppression of more than 25 dB. 相似文献

A tunable, low-repetition rate, all-normal-dispersion Yb-doped fiber laser (YDFL) that is passively mode locked based on a
phase shifted long period fiber grating (PS-LPFG) is demonstrated and proposed. The mode-locking mechanism of the laser is
based on nonlinear polarization evolution (NPE). Using a PS-LPFG as the spectral filter in the laser cavity, the mode-locked
output wavelength can be tuned continuously and smoothly over a spectral range of 10 nm, which is the first time implementation
of a tunable giant chirped pulse with all-fiber format bandpass filter in YDFL. The maximum output pulse energy is 38.9 nJ

Reliable Q-switched and mode-locked operation of Yb-doped fiber lasers is investigated by employing an acousto-optic modulator
(AOM) in a linear cavity configuration. The widths and shapes of the Q-switched envelopes mainly depend on the external modulation
frequency of the AOM and near symmetric Q-switched pulses can be generated. Within the Q-switched envelopes, harmonic mode-locked

We have investigated the generation of widely-separated bound pulses with a high power passively mode-locked Yb-doped double clad fiber laser. We report on the emission of bound pulses of 5 ps whose separation can exceed 180 ps. Pulses are further compressed extra-cavity to 140 fs, leading to pulse separations that can reach approximately 1300 pulse widths, while pulses remain bound. Scenarios leading to these regimes are detailed. RF analysis shows an important reduction of the amplitude noise of the laser when pulses bind together. Finally, we report on a new regime of multiple pulse emission of this fiber laser: stable co-emission of a single-pulse and a pair of bound pulses in the same cavity round trip.
