The pion transition form factor for the process γ*γ* → π0 at spacelike values of photon momenta is calculated within the effective quark-meson model with the interaction induced by instanton exchange. The leading and next-to-leading order power asymptotics of the form factor and the relation between the light-cone pion distribution amplitudes of twists 2 and 4 and the dynamically generated quark mass are found.  相似文献

It is demonstrated that the IR asymptotics of an arbitrary hard process of perturbative QCD can be factorized out into the superposition of vacuum averages of path-ordered exponentials, the IR singularities of which are shown to be in a one-to-one correspondence with the UV ones, thus allowing one to apply renormalization group methods to study the IR asymptotics of perturbative QCD. The anomalous dimension Γcusp of the relevant RG equation is calculated up to two loops.  相似文献

The leading-logarithm approximation of the singlet quark form factor is studied. In arbitrary order of perturbation theory the leading asymptotics of graphs involving no more than one three-gluon vertex is calculated. Cancellation of terms proportional to the Casimir operator CA is shown.  相似文献

We briefly review concept of the quark recombination (QRC) model and a general success of the model. To solve the existing problem, so called anomalous spin observables, in the high energy hyperon spin phenomena, we propose a mechanism; the primarily produced quarks, which are predominantly u and d quarks, act as the leading partons to form the hyperons. Extension of the quark recombination concept with this mechanism is successful in providing a good account of the anomalous spin observables. Another kind of anomaly, the non-zero analysing power and spin depolarization in the Λ hyperon productions, are also discussed and well understood by the presently proposed mechanism. Recently, a further difficulty was observed in an exclusive ΛK + p production and wel will indicate a possible diagram for resolving it.  相似文献

It is found that in the SU(3) broken quark model the SU(3) generators and their time derivatives belong to the SU(3) × SU(3) algebra. Using this algebra and the infinite momentum method the SU(3) mass sum rules are obtained. The possibility is discussed that normal spin-parity nonets and anomalous ones differ in the structure of the mass spectrum.  相似文献

We consider elastic quark-quark scattering at high energy and fixed transferred momentum. Performing factorization of soft-gluon exchanges into the Wilson-line expectation value we find that there is one-to-one correspondence between high-energy asymptotics in QCD and renormalization properties of the so-called cross singularities of the Wilson lines. Using this relation we show that the asymptotic behavior of the quark-quark scattering amplitude is controlled by a 2 × 2 matrix of the cross anomalous dimensions. We evaluate the matrix of the cross anomalous dimension to two-loop order and study the properties of the obtained expressions to higher loop order.  相似文献

Dileptons produced by hard scatterings, such as heavy quark decays and the Drell-Yan mechanism, probe the gluon and sea quark distributions in hadrons. In nucleus-nucleus collisions, these processes are the thermal ‘back-ground’. To determine the magnitude and behavior of this background, we calculate the hard scattering contribution to next to leading order in perturbative QCD at RHIC. We compare these results to optimistic estimates of thermal dilepton production and find that initial charm production is dominant. However, experimental cuts can reduce the charm background, enhancing thermal information.  相似文献

The ratio between the anomalous magnetic moments of proton and neutron has recently been suggested to be connected to the ratio of proton momentum fractions carried by the valence quarks inside it. This moment fraction ratio is respectively evaluated by using constituent quark model and chiral quark model in order to check meson cloud effect. Our results show that the meson cloud effect is remarkable to the ratio of the proton momentum fractions, and therefore, this ratio is a sensitive test for the meson cloud effect as well as for the SU(6) symmetry breaking effect.  相似文献

In massless QCD the operators which diagonalize the anomalous dimension matrix to first order in αs form representations of the conformal group. This is proved by using anomalous Ward identities. Only a subgroup, the so-called collinear conformal group SU(1, 1) ? SO(2, 1), acts on the restricted class of operators of lowest twist. Towers of local operators bilinear and trilinear in the quark fields are constructed. They are considered as polynomials in the derivatives acting on the basic quark fields: bilinear operators are given by Jacobi polynomials, trilinear operators by Appell's polynomials.By using the explicit form of the anomalous dimension matrix we verify that the constructed bilinear collinear conformal operators are in fact eigenvectors. As the conformal trilinear operator basis is degenerate, the eigenvectors of the mixing matrix of trilinear operators are not determined by conformal covariance alone. However, by taking a conformal basis the number of independent operators is reduced considerably.  相似文献

In this Letter we report exact results on the infrared asymptotics of the one-particle dynamical correlation function of the gas of impenetrable spin 1/2 fermions at infinitesimal temperature. The correlation function shows signs of spin-charge separation with scaling behavior in the charge part and exponential decay as a function of the space coordinate in the spin part. Surprisingly, the anomalous dimensions in the charge part do not correspond to any unitary conformal field theory. We find that the fermion spectral weight has a power law divergency at low energy with the anomalous exponent -1/2.  相似文献

Anomalous sector of chiral Lagrangian is calculated in a gauge invariant, nonlocal, dynamical quark model. The Wess–Zumino term is proved coming from two kinds of sources, one is independent of and another dependent on dynamical quark self energy Σ(k2). p6 and more higher order anomalous sectors come only from Σ(k2) dependent source. After some cancellation, standard Wess–Zumino action is obtained.  相似文献

We describe the calculation of the three-loop QCD corrections to quark and gluon form factors. The relevant three-loop Feynman diagrams are evaluated and the resulting three-loop Feynman integrals are reduced to a small set of known master integrals by using integration-by-parts relations. Our calculation confirms the recent results by Baikov et al. for the three-loop form factors. In addition, we derive the subleading \( \mathcal{O}\left( \varepsilon \right) \) terms for the fermion-loop type contributions to the three-loop form factors which are required for the extraction of the fermionic contributions to the four-loop quark and gluon collinear anomalous dimensions. The finite parts of the form factors are used to determine the hard matching coefficients for the Drell-Yan process and inclusive Higgs-production in soft-collinear effective theory.  相似文献

The original de Rafael-Taron bound on the slope of the Isgur-Wise function at zero recoil is known to be violated in QCD by singularities appearing in an unphysical region. To be consistent, quark models must have corresponding singularity structures. In an existing relativistic quark-loop model, the meson-quark-antiquark vertex is such that the required singularity is an anomalous threshold. We also discuss the implications of another anomalous threshold, whose location is determined by quark masses alone.  相似文献

The Bethe-Salpeter equation for the relativistic three quark bound state is solved for an instantaneous interaction in the ladder approximation. The particular solution obtained is valid for simple potentials in both the weak and strong binding situations. The general method for calculating matrix elements for the interaction of the bound state with an external electromagnetic field is presented. Particular attention is paid to the emergence of the nonrelativistic quark model interaction as the lowest order approximation in a perturbative expansion in the inverse quark mass. Relativistic corrections to this approximation are investigated, and their importance is seen to depend on the quark mass. For light quarks these corrections can be large, and to reproduce the proton magnetic moment, for instance, a substantial anomalous moment is necessary. The model has several encouraging features. The form factors with a harmonic potential have an asymptotic k?2 behavior, and the relativistic corrections to the SU(6) results for the form factors are of the correct order of magnitude.  相似文献

The renormalization of local dimension-4 operators containing a heavy and a light quark field at scales below the heavy-quark mass is discussed, using the formalism of the heavy-quark effective theory. The anomalous dimensions of these operators and their mixing are calculated to two-loop order. Some phenomenological applications are briefly discussed.  相似文献

Based on the infrared asymptotics of the lower QCD Green's functions obtained before, we propose a definition and elaborate a technique for calculating non-perturbative vacuum expectations of gluon and quark fields. In our calculations, we use only the known QCD parameters: constitutent quark masses, the confining potential slope and the QCD parameter Γ. The values obtained for the vacuum expectations agree well with experiment.  相似文献

This talk will report about a systematical implementation of a chiral effective field theory in nuclear matter with explicit pion fields and in the presence of external sources[1]. Within the generating functional approach of Ref.[2] the so-called standard power counting rules for the calculation of in-medium pion properties are developed that apply if the residual nucleon energies are of the order of the pion mass. In addition, for the case of vanishing residual nucleon energies, a modified scheme (non-standard counting) is introduced. For both schemes the pertinent scales where the chiral expansions have to break down are established as well. We report about a systematic analysis of n-point in-medium Green functions up to and including next-to-leading order when the standard rules apply. These include the in-medium contributions to quark condensates, pion propagators, pion masses and couplings of the axial-vector, vector and pseudoscalar currents to pions.  相似文献

It is argued that, in the leading logarithm approximation (LLA) of asymptotically free quantum chromodynamics (QCD), a simple algorithm (jet calculus) can be justified for computing a large number of quantities related to the longitudinal and transverse structure of quark and gluon jets.We formulate the rules of jet calculus in two variables, x and y which are related to longitudinal (energy) and transverse momentum respectively. Throughout the paper, quark and gluon jets are contrasted. After reviewing what has been done on longitudinal spectra, we turn to the transverse structure of jets down to relative transverse momenta of the order of a few GeV (independently of the total energy). The relation of our work to that of Dokshitzer, D'Yakonov and Troyan is elucidated. We also study jets generated by (almost) real photons and compare both with standard “final” parton jets.We also discuss calorimeter measured quantities, compare our results with those of other authors and propose a new and easy way for measuring QCD-predictable anomalous dimensions. We finally give a Lagrangian formulation of jet calculus, as a non-local theory in 1 + 1 dimensions to be solved in the tree approximation.  相似文献

We present a detailed study of the anomalous top quark production with subsequent decay at the LHC induced by model-independent flavor-changing neutral-current couplings, incorporating the complete next-to-leading order QCD effects. Our results show that, taking into account the current limits from the Tevatron, the LHC with √s=7 TeV may discover the anomalous coupling at 5σ level for a very low integrated luminosity of 61 pb?1. The discovery potentials for the anomalous couplings at the LHC are examined in detail. We also discuss the possibility of using the charge ratio to distinguish the tug and tcg couplings.  相似文献

We calculate the complete three-loop O(alpha(3)(s)) anomalous dimension matrix for the dimension-five dipole operators that arise in the standard model after integrating out the top quark and the heavy electroweak bosons. Our computation completes the three-loop anomalous dimension matrix of operators that govern low-energy |DeltaF| = 1 flavor-changing processes, and represents an important ingredient of the next-to-next-to-leading order QCD analysis of the B--> X(s)gamma decay.  相似文献
