The relaxational dynamics for local spin autocorrelations of the sphericalp-spin interaction spin-glass model is studied in the mean field limit. In the high temperature and high external field regime, the dynamics is ergodic and similar to the behaviour in known liquid-glass transition models. In the static limit, we recover the replica symmetric solution for the long time correlation. This phase becomes unstable on a critical line in the (T, h) plane, where critical slowing down is observed with a cross-over to power law decay of the correlation function ∝t , with an exponent ν varying along the critical line. For low temperatures and low fields, ergodicity in phase space is broken. For small fields the transition is discontinuous, and approaching this transition from above, two long time scales are seen to emerge. This dynamical transition lies at a somewhat higher temperature than the one obtained within replica theory. For larger fields the transition becomes continuous at some tricritical point. The low temperature phase with broken ergodicity is studied within a modified equilibrium theory and alternatively for adiabatic cooling across the transition line. This latter scheme yields rather detailed insight into the formation and structure of the ergodic components.  相似文献

The stability of a spin-glass (SG) phase is analyzed in detail for a fermionic Ising SG (FISG) model in the presence of a magnetic transverse field Γ. The fermionic path integral formalism, replica method and static approach have been used to obtain the thermodynamic potential within one step replica symmetry breaking ansatz. The replica symmetry (RS) results show that the SG phase is always unstable against the replicon. Moreover, the two other eigenvalues λ± of the Hessian matrix (related to the diagonal elements of the replica matrix) can indicate an additional instability to the SG phase, which enhances when Γ is increased. Therefore, this result suggests that the study of the replicon cannot be enough to guarantee the RS stability in the present quantum FISG model, especially near the quantum critical point. In particular, the FISG model allows changing the occupation number of sites, so one can get a first order transition when the chemical potential exceeds a certain value. In this region, the replicon and the λ± indicate instability problems for the SG solution close to all ranges of a first order boundary.  相似文献

The mean-field renormalization group is used to study the phase diagrams of a d-dimensional q-state clock spin-glass model. We found, for q = 3 clock, the transition from paramagnet to spin glass is an isotropic spin-glass phase, but for q = 4 clock, the transition from paramagnet to spin glass is an anisotropic spin-glass phase. However, for q ⩾ 5 clock, the result of anisotropic spin-glass phase depends on the temperature and the distribution of random coupling. While the coordinate number approaches infinity, the critical temperature evaluated by the mean-field renormalization group method is equal to that by the replica method.  相似文献

We investigate the finite size corrections to the equilibrium magnetization of an Ising model on a random graph with N nodes and Nγ edges, with 1<γ≤2. By conveniently rescaling the coupling constant, the free energy is made extensive. As expected, the system displays a phase transition of the mean-field type for all the considered values of γ at the transition temperature of the fully connected Curie-Weiss model. Finite size corrections are investigated for different values of the parameter γ, using two different approaches: a replica based finite N expansion, and a cavity method. Numerical simulations are compared with theoretical predictions. The cavity based analysis is shown to agree better with numerics.  相似文献

Using a replica formalism, a generalization of a recent mean field model corresponding to the observed wrinkling transition in randomly polymerized membranes is presented. In this model we study the effects of global fluctuations of the surface normals to the flat membrane, which can be introduced by a random local field. In absence of these global fluctuations, we show that, the model exhibits both continuous and discontinuous transitions between flat and wrinkled phases, contrary to what has been predicted by Bensimon et al. and Attal et al. Phase diagrams both in replica symmetry and in breaking of replica symmetry in sense of Almeida and Thouless are given. We have also investigated the effects of global fluctuations on the replica symmetry phase diagram. We show that, the wrinkled phase is favored and the flat phase is unstable. For large global fluctuations, the transition between wrinkled and flat phases becomes first order. Received: 3 December 1997 / Revised: 31 March 1998 / Accepted: 3 August 1998  相似文献

Based on the replica exchange Monte Carlo algorithm and histogram analysis of data, the phase transitions in the three-dimensional antiferromagnetic Heisenberg model on a body-centered cubic lattice with allowance for the next-nearest-neighbor interaction are studied. The study is performed for the nextnearest- neighbor exchange interaction ratio of r = 1. It is established that, for this model, the transition from the antiferromagnetic to paramagnetic phase is a first-order phase transition.  相似文献

The phase transitions in the two-dimensional Ising model on a square lattice are studied using a replica algorithm, the Monte Carlo method, and histogram analysis with allowance for the next-nearest-neighbor interactions in the range 0.1 ≤ r < 1.0. A phase diagram is constructed for the dependence of the critical temperature on the next-nearest-neighbor interaction. A second-order phase transition is detected in this range and the model under study.  相似文献

Phase transitions of the layered antiferromagnetic Ising model on a cubic lattice with allowance for intralayer next nearest neighbor interactions in the range of 0.0 ? r < 1.0 have been studied on the basis of the replica algorithm by the Monte Carlo method. The character of phase transitions has been analyzed on the basis of the histogram method and the Binder cumulant method. The phase diagram of the dependence of the critical temperature on the next nearest neighbor interaction has been constructed. It has been shown that a secondorder phase transition is observed in the interval of 0.0 ? r ? 0.5 and for the value r = 0.9 and a first-order phase transition is observed in the interval of 0.6 ? r < 0.8.  相似文献

The critical behavior of the three-dimensional antiferromagnetic Heisenberg model with nearest-neighbor (J) and next-to-nearest-neighbor (J 1) interactions is studied by the replica Monte Carlo method. The first-order phase transition and pseudouniversal critical behavior of this model are established for a small lattice in the interval R = |J 1/J| = 0?C0.115. A complete set of the main static magnetic and chiral critical indices is calculated in this interval using the finite-dimensional scaling theory.  相似文献

We study the effect of random porous matrices on the isotropic-nematic phase transition. Sufficiently close to the cleaning temperature, both random field and thermal fluctuations are important as disordering agents. A novel random field fixed point of the renormalization group equation was found that controls the transition from isotropic to the replica symmetric phase. Explicit evaluation of the exponents in d = 6 ? ε dimensions yields to a dimensional reduction and three-exponent scaling.  相似文献

In the present paper, we study a new kind of p-adic measures for q?+?1-state Potts model, called p-adic quasi Gibbs measure. For such a model, we derive a recursive relations with respect to boundary conditions. Note that we consider two mode of interactions: ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic. In both cases, we investigate a phase transition phenomena from the associated dynamical system point of view. Namely, using the derived recursive relations we define a fractional p-adic dynamical system. In ferromagnetic case, we establish that if q is divisible by p, then such a dynamical system has two repelling and one attractive fixed points. We find basin of attraction of the fixed point. This allows us to describe all solutions of the nonlinear recursive equations. Moreover, in that case there exists the strong phase transition. If q is not divisible by p, then the fixed points are neutral, and this yields that the existence of the quasi phase transition. In antiferromagnetic case, there are two attractive fixed points, and we find basins of attraction of both fixed points, and describe solutions of the nonlinear recursive equation. In this case, we prove the existence of a quasi phase transition.  相似文献

A generalised integer S Ising spin glass model is analysed using the replica formalism. The bilinear couplings are assumed to have a Gaussian distribution with ferromagnetic mean . Incorporation of a quadrupolar interaction term and a chemical potential leads to a richer phase diagram with transitions of first and second order. The first order transition may be interpreted as a phase separation, and contrary to what has been argued previously, it persists in the presence of disorder. Finally, the stability of the replica symmetric solution with respect to fluctuations in replica space is analysed, and the transition lines are obtained both analytically and numerically. Phase transitions in the antiferromagnetic Heisenberg model on a cubic lattice with intralayer next-nearest neighbor interactions are studied using the replica Monte Carlo algorithm. The magnitude of next-nearest neighbor interactions varies in the range of 0.0 ≤ r ≤ 1.0. The characteristics of the phase transitions are analyzed by the histogram and Binder cumulant techniques. The phase diagram relating the transition temperature and the magnitude of next-nearest neighbor interactions is constructed. It is shown that a second order phase transition occurs in the r range under study. In this model, it is found that the intralayer next-nearest neighbor interactions do not change the order of the phase transition.

The low-temperature phase of discontinuous mean-field spin glasses is generally described by a one-step replica symmetry breaking (1RSB) ansatz. The Gardner transition, i.e. a very-low-temperature phase transition to a full replica symmetry breaking (FRSB) phase, is often regarded as an inessential, and somehow exotic phenomenon. In this paper we show that the metastable states which are relevant for the out-of-equilibrium dynamics of such systems are always in a FRSB phase. The only exceptions are (to the best of our knowledge) the p-spin spherical model and the random energy model (REM). We also discuss the consequences of our results for aging dynamics and for local search algorithms in hard combinatorial problems. The effect of annealing on the 3.31 eV (A line) emission in ZnO nanorods is studied in detail by temperature-dependent photoluminescence (PL). Annealing results in obvious changes in peak energy and lineshape of the A line, indicating different luminescence origin in the as-grown and annealed ZnO nanorods. In the as-grown nanorods, the A line is a result of competition between free-to-neutral acceptor (FA) transition and the first longitude optical phonon replica of free exciton (FX-1LO) recombination. While for the annealed nanorods, FA transition disappears and the A line is attributed to FX-1LO only. In combination with trace impurity analysis, the results allow us to conclude that the acceptor involved in the FA transition is stacking faults rather than unintentional acceptor impurities.  相似文献

The equilibrium properties of the spin-1 Ising system Hamiltonian with arbitrary bilinear (J), biquadratic (K) and odd (L), which is also called dipolar-quadrupolar, interactions is studied for zero magnetic field in the lowest approximation of the cluster variation method. The odd interaction is combined with the bilinear (dipolar) and biquadratic (quadrupolar) exchange interactions by the geometric mean. In this system, phase transitions depend on the ratio of the coupling parameters, α = J/K; therefore, the dependence of the nature of the phase transition on α is investigated extensively and it is found that for α ⩽ 1 and α ⩾ 2000 a second-order phase transition occurs, and for 1 < α < 2000 a first-order phase transition occurs. The critical temperatures in the case of a second-order phase transition and the upper and lower limits of stability temperature in the case of a first-order phase transition are obtained for different values of α calculated using the Hessian determinant. The first-order phase transition temperatures are found by using the free energy values while increasing and decreasing the temperature. Besides the stable branches of the order parameters, we establish also the metastable and unstable parts of these curves and the thermal variations of these solutions as a function of the reduced temperature are investigated. The unstable solutions for the first-order phase transitions are obtained by displaying the free energy surfaces in the form of a contour map. Results are compared with the spin-1 Ising system Hamiltonian with the bilinear and biquadratic interactions and it is found that the odd interaction greatly influences the phase transitions.  相似文献

Symmetry considerations and a direct, Hubbard-Stratonovich type, derivation are used to construct a replica field-theory relevant to the study of the spin glass transition of short range models in a magnetic field. A mean-field treatment reveals that two different types of transitions exist, whenever the replica number n is kept larger than zero. The Sherrington-Kirkpatrick critical point in zero magnetic field between the paramagnet and replica magnet (a replica symmetric phase with a nonzero spin glass order parameter) separates from the de Almeida-Thouless line, along which replica symmetry breaking occurs. We argue that for studying the de Almeida-Thouless transition around the upper critical dimension d = 6, it is necessary to use the generic cubic model with all the three bare masses and eight cubic couplings. The critical role n may play is also emphasized. To make perturbative calculations feasible, a new representation of the cubic interaction is introduced. To illustrate the method, we compute the masses in one-loop order. Some technical details and a list of vertex rules are presented to help future renormalisation-group calculations. We consider a lattice-gas model with infinite-range interaction with site dependent random anisotropy distributed with a Gaussian distribution. The random anisotropy lattice-gas analogous of the random field Ising model is solved exactly using a replica theory. We show that, at finite temperature, the introduction of disorder eliminates completely the phase transition, and destroy the equivalence between real gases and Ising magnets. Whereas at T = 0, the density of occupied sites has a step-like behavior as function of the random anisotropy.  相似文献

An electric field induced phase transition in first order ferroelectrics with very large zero point energy is studied on the framework of the effective field approach. It is well known that when the zero point energy of a system is relatively large, the ferroelectric behaviour is depressed and no phase transition can be observed. The critical value Ωcf of zero point energy for whom the phase transition disappears turns out to be dependant on the order of transition. For zero point energies larger than this critical value, a phase transition may be induced applying an external electric field. This temperature dependence of the induced polarization shows a discontinuous step when the applied electric field is weak, but becoming a continuous one at a strong applied electric field. Another critical value of zero point energy Ωcp>Ωcf is deduced for which no phase transition at all can be attained.  相似文献

Summary A two-letter random copolymer with attraction between similar monomers and repulsion between different ones is investigated using the replica method. This type of interactions favors microphase separation (MPS) in a compact state of a polymer or in a melt. Frustrations between interactions and polymeric bonds may lead to freezing transition in a phase where only a few conformations dominate and replica symmetry is broken. Our analysis reveals that stiff polymers have a frozen phase and do not undergo transition to a phase with microdomain structure. In flexible polymers the microphase transition may occur before freezing. A complete phase diagram showing the interplay between the two phase transitions is constructed for the two-letter random copolymer.
