Abstract

A triethylene glycol di-imine locked triazole linked bis-calix[4]arene conjugate (L) and its Zn2+ complex [Zn2L], were synthesised, characterised and the three-dimentional (3-D) structure of the complex was established by single crystal XRD. In this complex, the Zn2+ centre exhibits distorted tetrahedral geometry with N2O2 binding core. The complex showed selectivity towards cysteine (Cys) with greater sensitivity followed by histidine (His) among the naturally occurring amino acids studied based on fluorescence and absorption spectroscopy. The fluorescence quenching of the complex is much greater with Cys as compared to that of His. The detection limit of Cys is 650 ppb. Release of Zn2+ from its complex [Zn2L] followed by its capture by –SH containing molecules was shown based on absorption and emission spectroscopy. This was also shown in one case by 1H NMR spectroscopy.  相似文献

A new thiacalix[4]arene based fluorescent sensor bearing two dansyl groups has been synthesized in cone conformation. In CH3CN:CH2Cl2 (1:1), the presence of Cu (II) induces the formation of a 1:1 metal:ligand complex, which exhibits increasing emission at 433 nm at the expense of the fluorescent emission of 1 centered at 504 nm. The detection limit of the sensor for Cu2+ is 2×10−7 mol L−1. For anion sensing, 1 shows a high selectivity for fluoride ions over other anions tested.  相似文献

A novel bis-naphthalimidocalix[4]arene-Cu(II) supramolecular complex has been observed to provide an efficient recognition system for CN? ions in aqueous medium. The binding stoichiometry of bis-naphthalimidocalix[4]arene and copper ion has been found to be 1:1 while that for bis-naphthalimidocalix[4]arene-Cu(II) and cyanide ion it has been determined to be 1:2.  相似文献

Novel anthraquinone-modified calix[4]arene was synthesized by click chemistry and exhibited selective fluorescent enhancement in the presence of Ca2+, which is attributed to photo-induced electron-transfer effect from the 1,2,3-triazole ring. A new thiacalix[4]arene based fluorescent chemosensor thiacalix[4]arene-N-(quinolin-8-yl)acetamide (TCAN8QA) has been synthesized. TCAN8QA has been found to exhibit highly selective behavior for F ions among all other anions, that is, Cl, Br, I, PO4−3, OH, H2PO4, and CH3COO in the absorption spectra as well as in the emission spectra. Red shift and quenching in emission spectra constituting the signature for fluoride detection are due to photoinduced charge transfer (PCT) which can be attributed to deprotonation of acidic NH proton in the presence of fluoride ions.  相似文献

Six kinds of tetra alkylester type calix[4]arene derivatives, (R1=R2=CH31, C2H52, C3H73,n-C4H94,t-C4H95,n-C10H216), a diethyl-didecyl mixed ester type (R1=C2H5, R2 =C10H217), and three kinds of lower rim bridged types (R1=C2H5, R2–R2=(CH2)108, (CH2)129, (CH2)2(OCH2CH2)310) were characterized by electrochemical measurement to elucidate the effect of the length of the alkyl group of alkoxycarbonyl substituents on Na+ selectivity. To obtain excellent Na+ selective ionophores, introduction of short chain alkyl groups rather than long chain ones, such as a decyl group, and maintenance of sufficient solubility of the calix[4]arene derivatives in the membrane solvent are required concurrently. Among the calix[4]arenes tested, 25,26,27,28-tetrakis[(ethoxycarbonyl)methoxy]-p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene2, and the diethyl-didecyl mixed ester type derivative7 are the best ionophores for a Na+ selective electrode. On the other hand, sodium selectivity of the bridged type derivative9 is comparable or even superior to that of the known bis(12-crown-4).This paper is dedicated to the commemorative issue on the 50th anniversary of calixarenes.  相似文献

A new phenanthrene-based fluorescent calix[4]arene (4) has been synthesized in cone conformation. This compound was examined for its fluorescent properties towards different metal ions (Na+, Li+, Mg2+, Ni2+, Ba2+, Ca2+, Cu2+, Pb2+) and anions (F, Cl, Br, H24PO,H2PO4,3NO,NO3,4HSO,HSO4, CH3COO) by fluorescence spectroscopy. The properties of the compound were evaluated and show that it is a fluorescence sensor for Cu2+ and F. With the addition of Cu2+ and F, the fluorescence was severely quenched.  相似文献

A new chemosensor with a phenanthroimidazole subunit based upon calix[4]arene-diamide has been synthesized, and its Mg2+-selective fluoroionophoric properties were investigated in an aqueous DMSO solution. The compound exhibited a pronounced Mg2+-selective fluoroionophoric behavior over other physiologically relevant metal ions. A significant red shift in fluorescence emission (Δλ = 86 nm) provided the ratiometric determination as well as naked-eye detection of Mg2+ ions.  相似文献

Single crystal XRD structure of the lower rim 1,3-di-amide-derivative of calix[4]arene possessing bis-{N-(2,2′-dipyridylamide)} pendants (L) exhibit two distinct binding cores, viz., N4 and O6. L was found to be selective for Zn2+ by switch-on and for Ni2+ by switch-off fluorescence by forming 1:1 complexes. The binding and the composition of the complex formed have been addressed based on steady state and time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy in addition to the absorption and ESI MS. As L can detect Zn2+ and Ni2+ to a concentration as low as 142 and 203 ppb, respectively, L can be a very sensitive molecular probe for these ions. The coordination details of the metal ion-bound complexes have been addressed based on ab initio calculations showing that the stabilization energies are commensurate with the coordination formed.  相似文献

Four two-armed chiral calix[4]arenes (1a1d) functionalised at the lower ring with amino acid units have been synthesised and the structures of these compounds were characterised by IR, MS, 1H NMR, 13C NMR spectra and elemental analysis. Their molecular recognition abilities towards amino alcohol were examined by fluorescence titration experiment in three kinds of solution. The results indicated that these receptors exhibited excellent fluorescent response to phenylglycinol and could distinguish phenylglycinol from phenylalaninol rapidly through the obvious difference in the fluorescent response. Solvent comparative experiments also indicated that acetonitrile was the best solvent to detect these phenomena.  相似文献

A novel fluorogenic calix[4]arene dansylcarboxamide in the cone conformation has been synthesized as the disodium salt and employed in optical recognition of mercury(II). In extraction from aqueous solutions with high content of competing Na+ (CNa+ ∼0.1 M; pH 5.0, acetate buffer) into CHCl3, the fluoroionophore allowed for detection of 8.0 × 10−7 M Hg2+ (1:1 complex; ) with high selectivity over many other relevant metal ions.  相似文献

A highly selective fluorescence switch on sensor, L for detecting Cu2+ has been synthesized by introducing a bis-(2-picolyl)amine moiety at the lower rim of a calix[4]arene platform via amide linkage. Binding properties of L toward ten different biologically relevant Mn+ ions have been studied by fluorescence and absorption spectroscopy in methanol and aqueous methanol. L was found to detect Cu2+ selectively down to a concentration of 196 and 341 ppb, respectively, in methanol and 1:1 aqueous methanol even in the presence of other metal ions. The composition of the complex has been found to be 1:1 based on the Job plot and is further confirmed by ESI MS. The role of calix[4]arene platform as well as the pre-organized binding core in the selective recognition of Cu2+ has been demonstrated by studying appropriate reference molecules. The possible modes of binding of L with Cu2+ have been modeled by computational calculations. L and its Cu2+ complex could very well be differentiated based on the nano-structural features observed in SEM and AFM.  相似文献

By reacting mono-substituted or 1,3-bi-substituted [2-(p-formylphenyloxy)ethyloxy]-p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene (3 or 4) with hydrazine hydrate in ‘1+2’ or ‘2+2’ condensation mode, novel benzalazine-bridging biscalix[4]arenes 5 and 7 were conveniently obtained in the yields of 76 and 81%, respectively. Condensation of compound 4 and salicylide hydrazone gave a novel calix[4]arene benzalazine derivative 6 in the yield of 85%. The structures and conformations of all new compounds were characterised by elemental analyses, ESI-MS, 1H NMR and 1H–1H COSY techniques. Biscalix[4]arene 7 adopts a symmetrical cone conformation with tube cavity. The liquid–liquid extraction experiment showed that all new hosts possessed excellent complexation abilities towards soft metal cations. Compound 7 exhibited high complexation selectivity towards Ag+. The Ag+/Na+ and Ag+/Hg2+ extraction percentages of host 7 were as high as 73.1 and 54.9, respectively. The UV–vis spectra complexation experiments revealed that the complexation constant of receptor 7 with Ag+ was 1.9 × 105 M? 1 and the 1:1 stoichiometry of receptor 7–Ag+ complex was formed. The 1H NMR spectra complexation experiments suggested that Ag+ was bound in a cavity composed of two benzalazine groups on bridging chains.  相似文献

The binding properties of two phenylketones (2a and 3a) and two ethylesters (2b and {3b) derived from p-tert-butyldihomooxacalix[4]arene or from p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene, in the cone conformation, towards transition (Ag+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Co2+, Zn2+, Fe2+ and Mn2+) and heavy (Cd2+, Hg2+ and Pb2+) metal cations have been determined by extraction studies with metal picrates and liquid membrane transport experiments with the same salts. The affinity of these ligands for Ag+ has also been investigated by 1H NMR spectroscopy. Both ketones are better extractants than the esters, and show a strong preference for Ag+, while Cu2+ is the most extracted cation with the esters. 1H NMR titrations with AgSO3CF3 indicate 1 : 1 complexes for all ligands, those with ketones are more stable, on the NMR time scale, than those with esters. Both esters are good carriers for Ag+, and 2b exhibits the highest transport rate (4.7 mol h-1) found until now with dihomooxacalix[4]arene derivatives.  相似文献
