The paper studies a Hilbert boundary value problem in L 1(ρ), where ρ(t) = |1–t|α and α is a real number. For α > ?1, it is proved that the homogeneous problem has n + κ linearly independent solutions when n + κ ≥ 0, where a(t) is the coefficient of the problem, besides, κ ind a(t) and n = [α] + 1 if α is not an integer, and n = α if α is an integer. Conditions under which the problem is solvable are found for the case when α > ?1 and n+κ < 0. For α ≤ ?1 the number of linearly independent solutions of the homogeneous problem depends on the behavior of the function a(t) at the point t = 1.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the bound of the cost of approximate controllability and null controllability of heat equations, i.e., the minimal Lp norm and L∞ norm of a control needed to control the system approximately or a control needed to steer the state of the system to zero. The methods we use combine observability inequalities, energy estimates for heat equations and the dual theory.  相似文献

Let X be a (closed) subspace of Lp with 1≤p<∞, and let A be any sectorial operator on X. We consider associated square functions on X, of the form and we show that if A admits a bounded H functional calculus on X, then these square functions are equivalent to the original norm of X. Then we deduce a similar result when X=H1(ℝN) is the usual Hardy space, for an appropriate choice of || ||F. For example if N=1, the right choice is the sum for hH1(ℝ), where H denotes the Hilbert transform.  相似文献

Orders of the best approximations for functions of Markov-Stieltjes type in the space H p are considered in the case of intersection of the measure support and the boundary of a unit circle. The optimal channel assignment is an important optimization problem with applications in optical networks. This problem was formulated to the L(p, 1)-labeling of graphs by Griggs and Yeh (SIAM J Discrete Math 5:586–595, 1992). A k-L(p, 1)-labeling of a graph G is a function \(f:V(G)\rightarrow \{0,1,2,\ldots ,k\}\) such that \(|f(u)-f(v)|\ge p\) if \(d(u,v)=1\) and \(|f(u)-f(v)|\ge 1\) if \(d(u,v)=2\), where d(uv) is the distance between the two vertices u and v in the graph. Denote \(\lambda _{p,1}^l(G)= \min \{k \mid G\) has a list k-L(p, 1)-labeling\(\}\). In this paper we show upper bounds \(\lambda _{1,1}^l(G)\le \Delta +9\) and \(\lambda _{2,1}^l(G)\le \max \{\Delta +15,29\}\) for planar graphs G without 4- and 6-cycles, where \(\Delta \) is the maximum vertex degree of G. Our proofs are constructive, which can be turned to a labeling (channel assignment) method to reach the upper bounds.  相似文献

Let μ be a measure from a σ-algebra of subsets of a set T into a sequentially complete Hausdorff topological vector space X. Assume that μ is convexly bounded, i.e., the convex hull of its range is bounded in X, and denote by L 1(μ) the space of scalar valued functions on T which are integrable with respect to the vector measure μ. We study the inheritance of some properties from X to L 1(μ). We show that the bounded multiplier property passes from X to L 1(μ). Answering a 1972 problem of Erik Thomas, we show that for a rather large class of F-spaces X the non-containment of c 0 passes from X to L 1(μ).  相似文献

Lp Poincare inequalities for general symmetric forms are established by new Cheeger's isoperimetric constants. Lp super-Poincare inequalities are introduced to describe the equivalent conditions for the Lp compact embedding, and the criteria via the new Cheeger's constants for those inequalities are presented. Finally, the concentration or the volume growth of measures for these inequalities are studied.  相似文献

We deal with complete submanifolds with weighted Poincaré inequality. Let B be one of the spaces Lp(?π,π), 1 ≤ p < ∞, p ≠ 2, and C[?π,π]. Sufficient conditions under which the “perturbed” trigonometric system \({e^{i{{\left( {n + {\alpha _n}} \right)}^t}}}\), n ∈ Z, is equivalent in B to the trigonometric system eint, n ∈ Z, are found. Under an additional requirement on (αn), a necessary condition is obtained. One of the results is as follows. If (αn) ∈ ls, where 1/s = 1/p - 1/2, then the equivalence specified above takes place, and the exponent s is exact; the space C corresponds to p = ∞. We calculate \({\mathcal{S}^{{\it Diff}}(S^p \times S^q)}\), the smooth structure set of S p × S q , for p, q ≥ 2 and p + q ≥ 5. As a consequence we show that in general \({\mathcal{S}^{Diff}(S^{4j-1}\times S^{4k})}\) cannot admit a group structure such that the smooth surgery exact sequence is a long exact sequence of groups. We also show that the image of the forgetful map \({\mathcal{S}^{Diff}(S^{4j}\times S^{4k}) \rightarrow \mathcal{S}^{Top}(S^{4j}\times S^{4k})}\) is not in general a subgroup of the topological structure set.  相似文献

Let (M, g) be a compact Riemannian manifold of dimension n ≥  2 and 1 <  p ≤  2. In this work we prove the validity of the optimal Gagliardo–Nirenberg inequality
for a family of parameters r, q and θ. Our proof relies strongly on a new distance lemma which holds for 1 <  p ≤  2. In particular, we obtain Riemannian versions of L p -Euclidean Gagliardo–Nirenberg inequalities of Del Pino and Dolbeault (J Funct Anal 197:151–161, 2003) and extend the optimal L 2-Riemannian Gagliardo–Nirenberg inequality of Brouttelande (Proc R Soc Edinb 46:147–157, 2003) in a unified framework.  相似文献

We investigate the relation between analytic Campanato spaces \(\mathcal {AL}_{p,s}\) and the spaces F(pqs), characterize the bounded and compact Riemann–Stieltjes operators from \(\mathcal {AL}_{p,s}\) to \(F(p,p-s-1,s)\). In this paper, we prove the product Hp boundedness of Calderón- Zygmund operators which were considered by Fefferman and Stein.
