In this paper we establish the stability of the solution of the standard initial-boundary value problem of linear anisotropic thermoelasticity under perturbations of the initial time geometry and of the spatial geometry. This is done by deriving appropriate explicit a priori inequalities which permit us to bound in particular the L2 integral of the perturbation in terms of some well defined measure of the perturbation in the geometry.  相似文献

In the Generalized Maxwell-Cattaneo equations the temperature and heat flux are separate variables that are related through a system of partial differential equations. In a previous paper [5] the authors established continuous dependence of the temperature on spatial geometry. In this paper inequalities are derived which imply continuous dependence of the heat flux on spatial geometry. Our aim in this article is to study the long time behaviour of a family of singularly perturbed Cahn‐Hilliard equations with singular (and, in particular, logarithmic) potentials. In particular, we are able to construct a continuous family of exponential attractors (as the perturbation parameter goes to 0). Furthermore, using these exponential attractors, we are able to prove the existence of the finite dimensional global attractor which attracts the bounded sets of initial data for all the possible values of the spatial average of the order parameter, hence improving previous results which required strong restrictions on the size of the spatial domain and to work on spaces on which the average of the order parameter is prescribed. Finally, we are able, in one and two space dimensions, to separate the solutions from the singular values of the potential, which allows us to reduce the problem to one with a regular potential. Unfortunately, for the unperturbed problem in three space dimensions, we need additional assumptions on the potential, which prevents us from proving such a result for logarithmic potentials. This paper is devoted to the stationary problem of second‐grade fluids, in the case where α1 + α2 = 0, in three dimensions. In relation to the problem in two dimensions, studied by E. H. Ouazar, the H3 norm of the velocity, in three dimensions, is not bounded for all data. However, by a special method, using together a H1 bound of the velocity, a ‘pseudo‐continuous dependence’ with respect to the data (effective for a small H3 norm of the velocity) and a polynomial inequality (verified by the H3 norm of the velocity), we show existence of solutions, uniqueness, continuous dependence with respect to the data, with small data. We also prove further regularity results establishing that this is a classical solution when the datum is small enough and smooth enough. Copyright © 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

We consider an optimal perturbation damping problem taking into account not only an external perturbation with bounded L 2-norm and an initial perturbation caused by unknown initial conditions in the system but also unknown bounded parametric perturbations. We synthesize a robust generalized H -suboptimal control minimizing the upper bound, expressed in terms of solutions of linear matrix inequalities, for the perturbation damping level under uncertainty in the closed system.  相似文献

In this paper we study the Navier–Stokes boundary‐initial value problem in the exterior of a rotating obstacle, in two and three spatial dimensions. We prove the local in time existence and uniqueness of strong solutions. Moreover, we show that the solutions are global in time, in two spatial dimensions. We consider a new class of variational-hemivariational inequalities which arise in the study of quasistatic models of contact. The novelty lies in the special structure of these inequalities, since each inequality of the class involve unilateral constraints, a history-dependent operator and two nondifferentiable functionals, of which at least one is convex. We prove an existence and uniqueness result of the solution. The proof is based on arguments on elliptic variational-hemivariational inequalities obtained in our previous work [23], combined with a fixed point result obtained in [30]. Then, we prove a convergence result which shows the continuous dependence of the solution with respect to the data. Finally, we present a quasistatic frictionless problem for viscoelastic materials in which the contact is modeled with normal compliance and finite penetration and the elasticity operator is associated to a history-dependent Von Mises convex. We prove that the variational formulation of the problem cast in the abstract setting of history-dependent quasivariational inequalities, with a convenient choice of spaces and operators. Then we apply our general results in order to prove the unique weak solvability of the contact problem and its continuous dependence on the data.  相似文献

A class of nonlinear nonlocal singularly perturbed Robin initial boundary value problems for reaction diffusion equations with boundary perturbation is considered. Under suitable conditions, firstly, the outer solution of the original problem is obtained; secondly, by using the stretched variable, the composing expansion method and the expanding theory of power series, the initial layer is constructed; and finally, by using the theory of differential inequalities the asymptotic behavior of solutions for initial boundary value problems is studied, and including some relational inequalities the existence and uniqueness of solutions for the original problem and the uniformly valid asymptotic estimation are discussed.  相似文献

In this paper, the Cauchy problem for the nonisentropic Euler–Maxwell system with a nonconstant background density is studied. The global existence of classical solution is constructed in three space dimensions provided the initial perturbation is sufficiently small. The proof is mainly based on classical energy estimate and the techniques of symmetrizer. And the time decay of the solution is also established by combining the decay estimate of the Green’s function with some time-weighted estimate.  相似文献

We consider the direct problems for poroelasticity equations. In the low-frequency approximation we prove existence and uniqueness theorems for the solution to a certain mixed problem. In the high-frequency approximation we establish the uniqueness of a weak solution to the mixed problem and its continuous dependence on the data in the cases of bounded and unbounded temporal intervals and for however many spatial variables.

We consider initial-value problems for infinite systems of first-order partial functional differential equations. The unknown function is the functional argument in equations and the partial derivations appear in the classical sense. A theorem on the existence of a solution and its continuous dependence upon initial data is proved. The Cauchy problem is transformed into a system of functional integral equations. The existence of a solution of this system is proved by using integral inequalities and the iterative method. Infinite differential systems with deviated argument and differential integral systems can be derived from the general model by specializing given operators.  相似文献

In this work we give a result concerning the continuous dependence on the data for weak solutions of a class of semilinear elliptic variational inequalities (Pn) with a nonlinear term depending on the gradient of the solution. This paper can be seen as the second part of the work Matzeu and Servadei (2010) [9], in the sense that here we give a stability result for the C1,α-weak solutions of problem (Pn) found in Matzeu and Servadei (2010) [9] through variational techniques. To be precise, we show that the solutions of (Pn), found with the arguments of Matzeu and Servadei (2010) [9], converge to a solution of the limiting problem (P), under suitable convergence assumptions on the data.  相似文献
