A new analytic technique is applied to solve the unsteady viscous flow due to an infinite rotating disk, governed by a set of two fully coupled nonlinear partial differential equations deduced directly from the exact Navier-Stokes equations. The system of coupled nonlinear partial differential equations is replaced by a sequence of uncoupled systems of linear ordinary differential equations. Different from all other previous analytic results, our series solution is accurate and valid for all time in the whole spatial region. Accurate expressions for skin friction coefficients are given, which are valid for all time. Such kind of series solutions have not been reported, to the best of our knowledge.   相似文献

In this paper a spectral method and a numerical continuation algorithm for solving eigenvalue problems for the rectangular von Kármán plate with different boundary conditions (simply supported, partially or totally clamped) and physical parameters are introduced. The solution of these problems has a postbuckling behaviour. The spectral method is based on a variational principle (Galerkin’s approach) with a choice of global basis functions which are combinations of trigonometric functions. Convergence results of this method are proved and the rate of convergence is estimated. The discretized nonlinear model is treated by Newton’s iterative scheme and numerical continuation. Branches of eigenfunctions found by the algorithm are traced. Numerical results of solving the problems for polygonal and ferroconcrete plates are presented. Communicated by A. Zhou.  相似文献

The solvability of the contact problem is proved provided the plate is simply supported. The singular memory material is assumed. This makes it possible to get a priori estimates important for the strong convergence of gradients of velocities of solutions to the penalized problem. Dedicated to Jiří V. There is a standard notion of type for a sectorial linear operator acting in a Banach space. We introduce a notion of asymptotic type for a linear operator V, involving estimates on the resolvent −1(λI+V) as λ→0. We show, for example, that if V is sectorial and of asymptotic type ω then the fractional power Vα is of asymptotic type αω for a suitable range of positive α. Moreover, we establish various properties of the operator ; in particular, this operator is of asymptotic type 0, for a sectorial operator V. This result has an application to the construction of operators satisfying the well-known Ritt resolvent condition.  相似文献

In this paper, under certain nonlinear growth conditions, we investigate the existence and successive iterations for the unique positive solution of a nonlinear fractional $q$-integral boundary problem by employing hybrid monotone method, which is a novel approach to nonlinear fractional $q$-difference equation. This paper not only proves the existence of the unique positive solution, but also gives some computable explicit hybrid iterative sequences approximating to the unique positive solution.  相似文献

In this paper, we point out the differences between a class of fractional difference equations and the integer-order ones. We show that under the same boundary conditions, the problem of the fractional order is nonresonant, while the integer-order one is resonant. Then we analyse the discrete fractional boundary value problem in detail. Then the uniqueness and multiplicity of the solutions for the discrete fractional boundary value problem are obtained by two new tools established in 2012, respectively.  相似文献

In this paper, we are concerned with the eigenvalue problem of a class of \emph{p}-Laplacian fractional differential equations involving integral boundary conditions. New criteria are established for the existence of positive solutions of the problem under some superlinear and suberlinear conditions. The results of the existence of at least one, two and the nonexistence of positive solutions are also obtained by using the fixed point theory. Consider an inverse problem for the time-fractional diffusion equation in one dimensional spatial space. The aim is to determine the initial status and heat flux on the boundary simultaneously from heat measurement data given on the other boundary. Using the Laplace transform and the unique extension technique, the uniqueness for this inverse problem is proven. Then we construct a regularizing scheme for the reconstruction of boundary flux for known initial status. The convergence rate of the regularizing solution is established under some a priori information about the exact solution. Moreover, the initial distribution can also be recovered approximately from our regularizing scheme. Finally we present some numerical examples, which show the validity of the proposed reconstruction scheme.  相似文献

This paper analyzes some Routh-Hurwitz stability conditions generalized to the fractional order case, and discusses the stability region of the fractional order system. We analyze the chaotic behavior of the fractional order modified coupled dynamos system concretely, and provide the conditions suppressing chaos to unstable equilibrium points, then use the feedback control method to control chaos in the fractional order modified coupled dynamos system. We consider the problem of controlling the solution of the heat equation with the convective boundary condition taking the heat transfer coefficient as the control. We take as our cost functional the sum of theL 2-norms of the control and the difference between the temperature attained and the desired temperature. We establish the existence of solutions of the underlying initial boundary-value problem and of an optimal control that minimizes the cost functional. We derive an optimality system by formally differentiating the cost functional with respect to the control and evaluating the result at an optimal control. We show how the solution depends in a differentiable way on the control using appropriate a priori estimates.
