The integrability problem consists of finding the class of functions a first integral of a given planar polynomial differential system must belong to. We recall the characterization of systems which admit an elementary or Liouvillian first integral. We define Weierstrass integrability and we determine some Weierstrass integrable systems which are Liouvillian integrable. Inside this new class of integrable systems there are non-Liouvillian integrable systems.  相似文献

We study the integrable structure recently revealed in some classical problems in the theory of functions in one complex variable. Given a simply connected domain bounded by a simple analytic curve in the complex plane, we consider the conformal mapping problem, the Dirichlet boundary problem, and the 2D inverse potential problem associated with the domain. A remarkable family of real-valued functionals on the space of such domains is constructed. Regarded as a function of infinitely many variables, which are properly defined moments of the domain, any functional in the family gives a formal solution of the above problems. These functions satisfy an infinite set of dispersionless Hirota equations and are therefore tau-functions of an integrable hierarchy. The hierarchy is identified with the dispersionless limit of the 2D Toda chain. In addition to our previous studies, we show that within a more general definition of the moments, this connection pertains not to a particular solution of the Hirota equations but to the hierarchy itself.  相似文献

In the first paper of this series a correspondence was established between coupled systems of two-dimensional nonlinear wave equations and the six-dimensional simply transitive Lie algebras. In the present paper we make use of this result to construct a Darboux integrable and exactly integrable nonlinear system associated with the six-parameter nilpotent Lie group G 6,1 and we give its exact general solution in terms of four arbitrary functions. The procedure is shown to be an exact linearization of the nonlinear problem.  相似文献

Benedetto Bongiorno constructed a certain class of improperly Riemann integrable functions on [0,1] which are not first-return integrable. He asked if all improper Riemann integrable functions which are not Lebesgue integrable are not first-return integrable. Recently David Fremlin provided a clever example to show that this is not the case. It remains open as to which functions are first-return integrable. We prove two general theorems which imply the existence of a large class of improperly Riemann integrable functions which are not first-return integrable. As a corollary we obtain that there is an improperly Riemann integrable function which is C on (0,1] yet fails to be first-return integrable.  相似文献

We consider the integrable Camassa‐Holm (CH) equation on the line with positive initial data rapidly decaying at infinity. On such a phase space we construct a one‐parameter family of integrable hierarchies that preserves the mixed spectrum of the associated string spectral problem. This family includes the CH hierarchy. We demonstrate that the constructed flows can be interpreted as Hamiltonian flows on the space of Weyl functions of the associated string spectral problem. The corresponding Poisson bracket is the Atiyah‐Hitchin bracket. Using an infinite dimensional version of the Jacobi ellipsoidal coordinates, we obtain a one‐parameter family of canonical coordinates linearizing the flows. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

In this paper we consider an extended Kaup–Newell (EKN) isospectral problem with an arbitrary smooth function and the corresponding two kinds of Lax integrable hierarchies by introducing two types of auxiliary spectral problems. The Hamiltonian structure of the second hierarchy is established. It is shown that the Hamiltonian system are integrable in Liouville’s sense and the set of Hamiltonian functions is the conserved densities of the second hierarchy, as well as they are in involutive in pairs under the Poisson bracket.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove the existence and uniqueness of the local mild solution to the Cauchy problem of the n‐dimensional (n≥3) Wigner–Poisson–BGK equation in the space of some integrable functions whose inverse Fourier transform are integrable. The main difficulties in establishing mild solution are to derive the boundedness and locally Lipschitz properties of the appropriate nonlinear terms in the Wiener algebra. In this paper we introduce the notion of decomposability in the space of Henstock‐Kurzweil‐Pettis integrable (for short HKP‐integrable) functions. The main goal of this paper is to give an affirmative answer to the long-standing conjecture which asserts that the affine map is a uniquely extremal quasiconformal map in the Teichmüller space of the complex plane punctured at the integer lattice points. In addition we derive a corollary related to the geometry of the corresponding Teichmüller space. Besides that we consider the classical dual extremal problem which naturally arises in the tangent space of the Teichmüller space. In particular we prove the uniqueness of Hahn-Banach extension of the associated linear functional given on the Bergman space of the integer lattice domain. Several useful estimates related to the local and global properties of integrable meromorphic functions and the delta functional (see the definition below) are also obtained. These estimates are intended to study the behavior of integrable functions near singularities and they are valid in general settings.

In the paper we derive two formulas representing solutions of Cauchy problem for two Schrödinger equations: one-dimensional momentum space equation with polynomial potential, and multidimensional position space equation with locally square integrable potential. The first equation is a constant coefficients particular case of an evolution equation with derivatives of arbitrary high order and variable coefficients that do not change over time, this general equation is solved in the paper. We construct a family of translation operators in the space of square integrable functions and then use methods of functional analysis based on Chernoff product formula to prove that this family approximates the solution-giving semigroup. This leads us to some formulas that express the solution for Cauchy problem in terms of initial condition and coefficients of the equations studied.

In this paper, we consider a generalized variational inequality problem which involves the integrable cost mapping and a nonsmooth mapping with convex components. We propose a new gradient-type method which determines a stepsize by using the smooth part of the cost function. Thus, the method does not utilize analogs of derivatives of nonsmooth functions. We show that its convergence does not require additional assumptions.  相似文献

We use the integration structure of the spaces of scalar integrable functions with respect to a vector measure to provide factorization theorems for operators between Banach function spaces through Hilbert spaces. A broad class of Banach function spaces can be represented as spaces of scalar integrable functions with respect to a vector measure, but this representation (the vector measure) is not unique. Since our factorization depends on the vector measure that is used for the representation we also give a characterization of those vector measures whose corresponding spaces of integrable functions coincide.  相似文献

In this paper, we aim to discuss the classical theory of the quadratic-phase integral operator on sets of integrable Boehmians. We provide delta sequences and derive convolution theorems by using certain convolution products of weight functions of exponential type. Meanwhile, we make a free use of the delta sequences and the convolution theorem to derive the prerequisite axioms, which essentially establish the Boehmian spaces of the generalized quadratic-phase integral operator. Further, we nominate two continuous embeddings between the integrable set of functions and the integrable set of Boehmians. Furthermore, we introduce the definition and the properties of the generalized quadratic-phase integral operator and obtain an inversion formula in the class of Boehmians.  相似文献
