We introduce and develop the concept of oblique duality for fusion frames. This concept provides a mathematical framework to deal with problems in distributed signal processing where the signals considered as elements in a Hilbert space are, under certain requirements, analyzed in one subspace and reconstructed in another subspace. The requirements are, on one side, the uniqueness of the reconstructed signal, and on the other what we call consistency of the sampling for fusion frames. Both conditions are naturally related to oblique projections. We study the main properties of oblique dual fusion frames and oblique dual fusion frame systems introduced in this work and present several results that provide alternative methods for their construction.  相似文献

Some properties of frames of subspaces obtained by operator theory methods   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
We study the relationship among operators, orthonormal basis of subspaces and frames of subspaces (also called fusion frames) for a separable Hilbert space H. We get sufficient conditions on an orthonormal basis of subspaces E={Ei}iI of a Hilbert space K and a surjective TL(K,H) in order that {T(Ei)}iI is a frame of subspaces with respect to a computable sequence of weights. We also obtain generalizations of results in [J.A. Antezana, G. Corach, M. Ruiz, D. Stojanoff, Oblique projections and frames, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 134 (2006) 1031-1037], which relate frames of subspaces (including the computation of their weights) and oblique projections. The notion of refinement of a fusion frame is defined and used to obtain results about the excess of such frames. We study the set of admissible weights for a generating sequence of subspaces. The Projected Aggregation Methods (PAM) for solving linear systems of equalities and/or inequalities, generate a new iterate x k+1 by projecting the current point x k onto a separating hyperplane generated by a given linear combination of the original hyperplanes or halfspaces. In Scolnik et al. (2001, 2002a) and Echebest et al. (2004) acceleration schemes for solving systems of linear equations and inequalities respectively were introduced, within a PAM like framework. In this paper we apply those schemes in an algorithm based on oblique projections reflecting the sparsity of the matrix of the linear system to be solved. We present the corresponding theoretical convergence results which are a generalization of those given in Echebest et al. (2004). We also present the numerical results obtained applying the new scheme to two algorithms introduced by Garcí a-Palomares and González-Castaño (1998) and also the comparison of its efficiency with that of Censor and Elfving (2002).  相似文献

In this paper, we obtain equivalent conditions relating oblique projections to biorthogonal Riesz bases and angles between closed linear subspaces of a Hilbert space. We also prove an extension theorem in the biorthogonal setting, which leads to biorthogonal multiwavelets.

In this paper we give new characterizations of Riesz and conditional Riesz frames in terms of the properties of the nullspace of their synthesis operators. This paper addresses the natural question: “How should frames be compared?” We answer this question by quantifying the overcompleteness of all frames with the same index set. We introduce the concept of a frame measure function: a function which maps each frame to a continuous function. The comparison of these functions induces an equivalence and partial order that allows for a meaningful comparison of frames indexed by the same set. We define the ultrafilter measure function, an explicit frame measure function that we show is contained both algebraically and topologically inside all frame measure functions. We explore additional properties of frame measure functions, showing that they are additive on a large class of supersets—those that come from so called non-expansive frames. We apply our results to the Gabor setting, computing the frame measure function of Gabor frames and establishing a new result about supersets of Gabor frames.  相似文献

We study the multiple-sets split feasibility problem that requires to find a point closest to a family of closed convex sets in one space such that its image under a linear transformation will be closest to another family of closed convex sets in the image space. By casting the problem into an equivalent problem in a suitable product space we are able to present a simultaneous subgradients projections algorithm that generates convergent sequences of iterates in the feasible case. We further derive and analyze a perturbed projection method for the multiple-sets split feasibility problem and, additionally, furnish alternative proofs to two known results.  相似文献

In this paper, we establish an asymptotic existence theorem for group divisible designs of type mn with block sizes in any given set K of integers greater than 1. As consequences, we will prove an asymptotic existence theorem for frames and derive a partial asymptotic existence theorem for resolvable group divisible designs.  相似文献

We consider the perturbation problem of wavelet frame (Riesz basis) about dilation and translation parameters and . For wavelet functions whose Fourier transforms have small supports, we give a method to determine whether the perturbation system is a frame (Riesz basis) and prove the stability about dilation parameter on Paley-Wiener space. For a great deal of wavelet functions, we give a definite answer to the stability about translation . Moreover, if the Fourier transform has small support, we can estimate the frame bounds about the perturbation of translation parameter . Our methods can be used to handle nonhomogeneous frames (Riesz basis).

This paper discusses the relationship between Karmarkar's new method for linear programming and the traditional simplex method. It is shown how null-space Karmarkar projections can be done using a basis matrix to compute the projections in the null space. Preliminary computational evidence shows that problems exist in the choice of a basis matrix, but that, given a basis, very inexact and computationally efficient projections are computationally sound.  相似文献

In this note, we establish some bounds on the supremum of certain empirical processes indexed by sets of functions with the same L2 norm. We present several geometric applications of this result, the most important of which is a sharpening of the Johnson-Lindenstrauss embedding Lemma. Our results apply to a large class of random matrices, as we only require that the matrix entries have a subgaussian tail.  相似文献

This paper presents necessary and sufficient conditions for a positive bounded operator on a separable Hilbert space to be the sum of a finite or infinite collection of projections (not necessarily mutually orthogonal), with the sum converging in the strong operator topology if the collection is infinite. A similar necessary condition is given when the operator and the projections are taken in a type II von Neumann factor, and the condition is proven to be also sufficient if the operator is “diagonalizable”.
