A two-dimensional inverse scattering problem in a layered acoustic medium occupying a half-plane is considered. Data is the scattered wavefield from a surface point source measured on the boundary of the half-plane. On the basis of the Radon transform, an algorithm is constructed that recovers the velocity and the acoustic impedance of the medium from the scattering data. An analytical solution is presented for an inverse scattering problem, and several inverse scattering problems are solved numerically.  相似文献

This work gives a mathematical model for an acoustically penetrable or electromagnetically dielectric half-plane. An approximate boundary condition is used that depends on the thickness of, and the material constants for, the half-plane. A solution is obtained, by using the approximate boundary condition, for the problem of a line source field diffracted by a penetrable/dielectric half-plane. The asymmetry of the approximate boundary condition results in a matrix Wiener–Hopf problem, which is solved explicitly.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the diffraction problem in a transversely isotropic piezoelectric medium by a half-plane. The half-plane obstacle considered here is a semi-infinite slit, or a crack; both its surfaces are traction free and electric absorbent screens. In a generalized sense, we are dealing with the Sommerfeld problem in a piezoelectric medium.¶The coupled diffraction fields between acoustic wave and electric wave are excited by both incident acoustic wave as well as incident electric wave; and the sound soft and electric "blackness" conditions on the screens are characterized by a system of simultaneous Wiener-Hopf equations. Closed form solutions are sought by employing special techniques. Some interesting results have been obtained, such as mode conversions between acoustic wave and electric wave, novel diffraction patterns in the scattering fields, and the effect of electroacoustic head wave, as well as of surface wave-Bleustein-Gulyaev wave.¶Unlike the classical Sommerfeld problem, in which the only concern is the scattering field of electric wave, the strength of material, e.g. material toughness, is another concern here. From this perspective, relevant dynamic field intensity factors at the crack tip are derived explicitly.  相似文献

The necessary and sufficient conditions are given for the simultaneous two-sided residue interpolation problem with nodes in the open upper half-plane for the matrix-valued analytic functions. A linear fractional transformation of the set of all solutions to the question is presented in terms of the original data. The method is based on characterizing least common minimal multiples and the reduction of the solution of the problem to the construction of a rational matrix function which serves as the coefficient, matrix in the linear fractional transformation.  相似文献

The self-adjoint elliptic boundary-value problem in a domain with cylindrical outlets to infinity is considered. The notion of an augmented scattering matrix is introduced on the basis of artificial radiation conditions. Properties of the augmented scattering matrix are studied, and the relationship with the classical scattering matrix is demonstrated. The central point is the possibility of calculating the number of linearly independent solutions of a homogeneous problem with fixed rate of decrease at infinity by analyzing the spectrum of the augmented scattering matrix. This property is applied to the problem on diffraction on a periodic boundary as an example. Bibliography: 21 titles.  相似文献

We construct a Lax-Phillips scattering system on the arithmetic quotient space of the Poincaré upper half-plane by the full modular group, based on the Eisenstein transform. We identify incoming and outgoing subspaces in the ambient space of all functions with finite energy-form for the non-Euclidean wave equation. The use of the Eisenstein transform along with some properties of the Eisenstein series of two variables enables one to work only on the space corresponding to the continuous spectrum of the Laplace-Beltrami operator. It is shown that the scattering matrix is the complex function appearing in the the functional equation of the Eisenstein series of two variables. We obtain a compression operator constructed from the Laplace-Beltrami operator, whose spectrum consists of eigenvalues that coincide, counted with multiplicities, with the non-trivial zeros of the Riemann zeta-function. For this purpose we construct and use a scattering model on the one-dimensional Euclidean space.   相似文献

Analytical solutions for the problems of an elastic half-space and an elastic half-plane subjected to a distributed normal force are derived in a unified manner using the general form of the linearized surface elasticity theory of Gurtin and Murdoch. The Papkovitch–Neuber potential functions, Fourier transforms and Bessel functions are utilized in the formulation. The newly obtained solutions are general and reduce to the solutions for the half-space and half-plane contact problems based on classical linear elasticity when the surface effects are not considered. Also, existing solutions for the half-space and half-plane contact problems based on simplified versions of Gurtin and Murdoch’s surface elasticity theory are recovered as special cases of the current solutions. By applying the new solutions directly, Boussinesq’s flat-ended punch problem, Hertz’s spherical punch problem and a conical punch problem are solved, which lead to depth-dependent hardness formulas different from those based on classical elasticity. The numerical results reveal that smoother elastic fields and smaller displacements are predicted by the current solutions than those given by the classical elasticity-based solutions. Also, it is shown that the out-of-plane displacement and stress components strongly depend on the residual surface stress. In addition, it is found that the new solutions based on the surface elasticity theory predict larger values of the indentation hardness than the solutions based on classical elasticity.  相似文献

The interaction between a screw dislocation and an elastic elliptical inhomogeneity which contains a confocal rigid line is investigated. The screw dislocation is located inside either the elliptical inhomogeneity or the infinite matrix. By using the complex potential method, explicit series solutions of complex potentials are obtained. The image force acting on the screw dislocation and the stress intensity factor at the tip of the rigid line are derived. As a result, the analysis and discussion show that the influence of the rigid line on the interaction effects between a screw dislocation and an elliptical inhomogeneity is significant. The rigid line enhances the repulsive force exerted on the dislocation produced by the stiff inhomogeneity and abates the attractive force produced by the soft inhomogeneity. For the soft inhomogeneity, there is an unstable equilibrium position when the dislocation is inside the matrix and there is a stable equilibrium position when the dislocation is inside the inhomogeneity. The stress intensity factor contour around the rigid line tip shows that when a dislocation with positive burgers vector is in the upper half-plane, stress intensity factor will be positive; while in the lower half-plane, stress intensity factor will be negative; and in the x-axis, it will be zero. The absolute value of the stress intensity factor will increase when the dislocation approaches the tip of the rigid line. The stress intensity factor at the rigid line tip is enhanced by a harder matrix and abated by a softer matrix.  相似文献

The solutions of the contact problems of the theory of elasticity in the presence of wear is given for two cases. In Sect. 1 we consider the problems in which an initially curved beam comes in contact with a half-plane. One of the initial assumptions is that the distance between certain directrices along which the body in contact is sliding and the boundary of the half-plane remains constant. In Sect. 1 the contact between the curved beam and the half-plane is discussed at the assumption that the half-plane is subject to wear. As the result of the wear, the pressure between the beam and the half-plane is gradually reduced. It is naturally assumed that the pressure at the terminal points of the contact area will, in this case, be zero. The conditions characterizing the pressure at these terminal points can be established for various types of contact problems only under certain additional assumptions; this will be discussed below.  相似文献

Based on the Stroh-type formalism for anti-plane deformation, the fracture mechanics of four cracks originating from an elliptical hole in a one-dimensional hexagonal quasicrystal are investigated under remotely uniform anti-plane shear loadings. The boundary value problem is reduced to Cauchy integral equations by a new mapping function, which is further solved analytically. The exact solutions in closed-form of the stress intensity factors for mode III crack problem are obtained. In the limiting cases, the well known results can be obtained from the present solutions. Moreover, new exact solutions for some complicated defects including three edge cracks originating from an elliptical hole, a half-plane with an edge crack originating from a half-elliptical hole, a half-plane with an edge crack originating from a half-circular hole are derived. In the absence of the phason field, the obtainable results in this paper match with the classical ones.  相似文献

In this paper we show that the so-called scattering frequencies of the Laplace operator over an exterior domain, subject to Robin or Dirichlet boundary condition, cannot lie in certain portions of the upper half-plane. The excluded sets depend only on the type of boundary condition and the radius of the smallest sphere containing the scattering obstacle.  相似文献

In this paper Green functions are constructed in analytic form for a deformable half-plane of a quasi-static problem of thermoelasticity when the heat flow on the boundary x2=0 of the half-plane is zero. To construct the Green functions, certain integral representations are used whose kernels are known Green functions of the corresponding problems of elasticity theory. The functions constructed make it possible to obtain a wide class of new solutions of boundary-value problems of thermoelasticity, in particular solutions for a piecewise homogeneous half-plane. For the Hamiltonian operator matrix from systems theory the existence of invariant subspaces corresponding to the spectrum in the right and left half-plane is shown. The control and observation operators are unbounded in the sense that they map into extrapolation spaces, thereby allowing for PDE systems with control and observation on the boundary. The invariant subspaces are then used to construct solutions of the corresponding Riccati equation. (© 2016 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)  相似文献

This paper is concerned with efficient numerical methods for solving the time-dependent scattering and inverse scattering problems of acoustic waves in a locally perturbed half-plane. By symmetric continuation, the scattering problem is reformulated as an equivalent symmetric problem defined in the whole plane. The retarded potential boundary integral equation method is modified to solve the forward problem. Then we consider the inverse scattering problem of determinating the local perturbation from the measured scattered data. The time domain linear sampling method is employed to deal with the inverse problem. The computation schemes proposed in this paper are relatively simple and easy to implement. Several numerical examples are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed methods.  相似文献

We consider the Dirichlet boundary value problem for the Helmholtz equation in a non-locally perturbed half-plane, this problem arising in electromagnetic scattering by one-dimensional rough, perfectly conducting surfaces. We propose a new boundary integral equation formulation for this problem, utilizing the Green's function for an impedance half-plane in place of the standard fundamental solution. We show, at least for surfaces not differing too much from the flat boundary, that the integral equation is uniquely solvable in the space of bounded and continuous functions, and hence that, for a variety of incident fields including an incident plane wave, the boundary value problem for the scattered field has a unique solution satisfying the limiting absorption principle. Finally, a result of continuous dependence of the solution on the boundary shape is obtained.  相似文献

In the paper, under certain conditions, it is shown that a Hamiltonian real periodic matrix can be block-diagonalized by a real matrix of the same period and, in the resulting block-diagonal form, the spectrum of one of the matrices on the diagonal belongs to the open left half-plane and that of the other to the open right half-plane. The method of the inverse scattering transform is used to solve a boundary-value problem on the half-plane for the two-dimensional stationary Heisenberg magnet with nontrivial background corresponding to helicoidal magnetic structures. The boundary conditions are formulated in terms of scattering data, and this leads to the appearance of gaps in the continuous spectrum of the auxiliary linear problem. Trace identities are obtained. The asymptotic behavior of some of the simplest solutions of soliton type is discussed.Scientific-Research Insititute of the Leningrad State University. The problem considered is that of the diffraction of an electromagneticplane by a half plane in an uniaxially anisotropic medium. Itis shown that the solution may be expressed formally in termsof the solutions of the Sommerfeld half-plane problems.  相似文献
