Remarks on optimum kernels and optimum boundary kernels

Kernel smoothers belong to the most popular nonparametric functional estimates used for describing data structure. They can be applied to the fix design regression model as well as to the random design regression model. The main idea of this paper is to present a construction of the optimum kernel and optimum boundary kernel by means of the Gegenbauer and Legendre polynomials. This work is part of the research project “The Czech Economy in the Process of Integration and Globalization, and the Development of Agricultural Sector and the Sector of Service under the New Conditions of the Integrated European Market”.     

Approximation of kernel matrices by circulant matrices and its application in kernel selection methods

This paper focuses on developing fast numerical algorithms for selection of a kernel optimal for a given training data set. The optimal kernel is obtained by minimizing a cost functional over a prescribed set of kernels. The cost functional is defined in terms of a positive semi-definite matrix determined completely by a given kernel and the given sampled input data. Fast computational algorithms are developed by approximating the positive semi-definite matrix by a related circulant matrix so that the fast Fourier transform can apply to achieve a linear or quasi-linear computational complexity for finding the optimal kernel. We establish convergence of the approximation method. Numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the approximation accuracy and computational efficiency of the proposed methods.     

Weighted Bergman kernels and virtual Bergman kernels

We introduce the notion of virtual Bergman kernel and study some of its applications.     

Complexity in Complex Analysis

We show that the classical kernel and domain functions associated to an n-connected domain in the plane are all given by rational combinations of three or fewer holomorphic functions of one complex variable. We characterize those domains for which the classical functions are given by rational combinations of only two or fewer functions of one complex variable. Such domains turn out to have the property that their classical domain functions all extend to be meromorphic functions on a compact Riemann surface, and this condition will be shown to be equivalent to the condition that an Ahlfors map and its derivative are algebraically dependent. We also show how many of these results can be generalized to finite Riemann surfaces.     

Analytic continuation and identities involving heat,Poisson, wave and Bessel kernels

In this article we use classical formulas involving the K–Bessel function in two variables to express the Poisson kernel on a Riemannian manifold in terms of the heat kernel. We then use the small time asymptotics of the heat kernel on certain Riemannian manifolds to obtain a meromorphic continuation of the associated Poisson kernel to all values of complex time with identifiable singularities. This result reproves in a different setting by different means a well–known theorem due to Duistermaat and Guillemin [DG 75]. Ｎｏｅｌ Ｌｏｈｏｕｅ证明了复对称空间上形如的极大函数的可和性可归结为 的可和性及ｆ（ｘ）叫的可和性．本文利用正规实型对称空间上热核的一个上界估计，证明了上述结果对正规实型对称空间亦成立．     

A remark on the Bergman stability

Let , be a sequence of bounded pseudoconvex domains that converges, in the sense of Boas, to a bounded domain . We show that if can be described locally as the graph of a continuous function in suitable coordinates for , then the Bergman kernel of converges to the Bergman kernel of uniformly on compact subsets of .     

DOG小波变换像空间的描述

本文给出了DOG小波变换像空间的再生核函数的具体表达式及等距恒等式,并利用再生核函数的结构对DOG小波变换的像空间作出了具体的描述,使得对其像空间的形成有了更直观和更深刻的认识.这既为一般小波变换像空间的描述奠定了基础,又为该小波变换的实际运用提供理论依据.     

关于W_2~1[a,b]能否扩大的一些问题

讨论了W12[a,b]能否扩大为含有有间断点函数的再生核空间的问题.结论是:若再生核空间W W12[a,b]含有有间断点的函数,则间断点必固定、间断点个数必有限且非端点a,b.进一步,我们构造了函数含有n个间断点的再生核空间并给出其再生核表达式.     

一类乘积核的本征值分布

本文讨论了一类形如 G( x,y) =m1( x) K( x,y) m2 ( y)的乘积核所诱导的积分算子的本征值的分布问题 ,其中 K ( x,y)∈ CΩ×Ω 是正定的 .当 m1( x) ,m2 ( x)∈ CΩ 并且 m1( x) m2 ( x) 0时 ,我们证明了TG∶ L2 ( Ω)→L2 ( Ω)是迹算子 ,其本征值非负并得到了一个迹公式∑n∈ Nλn( TG) =∫Ωm1( x) K ( x,x) m2 ( x) dx.对于 m1( x) ,m2 ( x)∈ L∞( Ω)的情形 ,我们证明了一个稍弱的结果 .∑n∈ N|λn( TG) | ‖ m1. m2 ‖L∞∫ΩK( x,x) dx.     

Lu Qi-Keng's problem on some complex ellipsoids

In this note, we give an improvement on the Bergman kernel for the domain . As an application, we describe how the zeroes of the kernel depend on the defining parameters p,m,n. We also consider the domain .

Reproducing kernel method of solving singular integral equation with cosecant kernel

In the paper, a reproducing kernel method of solving singular integral equations (SIE) with cosecant kernel is proposed. For solving SIE, difficulties lie in its singular term. In order to remove singular term of SIE, an equivalent transformation is made. Compared with known investigations, its advantages are that the representation of exact solution is obtained in a reproducing kernel Hilbert space and accuracy in numerical computation is higher. On the other hand, the representation of reproducing kernel becomes simple by improving the definition of traditional inner product and requirements for image space of operators are weakened comparing with traditional reproducing kernel method. The final numerical experiments illustrate the method is efficient.     

Resolvent bounds for jump generators

The paper deals with jump generators with a convolution kernel. Assuming that the kernel decays either exponentially or polynomially, we prove a number of lower and upper bounds for the resolvent of such operators. In particular we focus on sharp estimates of the resolvent kernel for small values of the spectral parameter. We consider two applications of these results. First we obtain pointwise estimates for principal eigenfunction of jump generators perturbed by a compactly supported potential (so-called nonlocal Schrödinger operators). Then we consider the Cauchy problem for the corresponding inhomogeneous evolution equations and study the behaviour of its solutions.     

The harmonic Bergman kernels for punctured domains

We obtain the explicit formulae for the harmonic Bergman kernels of Bn／{0} and Rn／Bn and study the connection between harmonic Bergman kernel and weighted harmonic Bergman kernel.We also get the explicit formula for the weighted harmonic Bergman kernel of Bn／{0} with the weight 1/｜x｜4.     

Lipschitz Kernel of a Closed Set-Valued Map

This paper deals with Lipschitz selections of set-valued maps with closed graphs. First, we characterize Lipschitzianity of a closed set-valued map in the differential games framework in terms of a discriminating property of its graph. This allows us to consider the -Lipschitz kernel of a given set-valued map as the largest -Lipschitz closed set-valued map contained in the initial one, to derive an algorithm to compute the collection of Lipschitz selections, and to extend the Pasch–Hausdorff envelope to set-valued maps.
