The scaled factorial moments Fq are studied for 28Si–AgBr collisions at 14.6 AGeV. These moments follow the generalized power law Fq(M)[g(M)]q. The values of q/2 obtained from the linear fits of ln Fq versus ln F2 graphs are found to obey the Brax–Peschanski formula with Levy index μ = 1.635 ± 0.012 for η space and μ = 1.801 ± 0.003 for space. These values lie within the Levy stable region 0  μ  2. An analytical continuation of the Brax–Peschanski formula has been used to obtain the multifractal spectra f(q) in negative q region.  相似文献

We consider quasilinear singular perturbation problems of the form εy+p(x)y+q(x,y)=h(x),x[0,1];y(0)=,y(1)=β with a boundary layer at one end point. The original problem is reduced to an asymptotically equivalent linear first order initial-value problem (IVP). Then, a variable step size initial value algorithm is applied to solve this (IVP). The algorithm is based on the locally exact integration of quadratic linearized problem coefficients on a non-uniform mesh. Two term-recurrence relation with controlled step size is obtained. Several problems are solved to demonstrate the applicability and efficiency of the algorithm. It is observed that the present method approximates the exact solution very well.  相似文献

We consider a class of graphs subject to certain restrictions, including the finiteness of diameters. Any surjective mapping φ:ΓΓ between graphs from this class is shown to be an isomorphism provided that the following holds: Any two points of Γ are at a distance equal to the diameter of Γ if, and only if, their images are at a distance equal to the diameter of Γ. This result is then applied to the graphs arising from the adjacency relations of spaces of rectangular matrices, spaces of Hermitian matrices, and Grassmann spaces (projective spaces of rectangular matrices).  相似文献

This paper is concerned with a functional differential equation x(z)=1/x(az+bx(z)), where a, b are two complex numbers. By constructing a convergent power series solution y(z) of a auxiliary equation of the form b2y(z)=(y2z)−ayz))(μyz)−ay(z)), analytic solutions of the form for the original differential equation are obtained.  相似文献

Propositions about the nonexistence of complex zeros of the functions Hμ(z)=Jμ(z)+zJμ(z),Jμ(z),Jμ(z), where Jμ(z) and Jμ(z) are the first two derivatives of the Bessel functions Jμ(z), for μ in general complex are proved. Bounds for the purely imaginary zeros of the above functions assuming their existence are given. Thus for the range of values for which these bounds are violated there are no purely imaginary zeros of the above functions. Finally, some known results from previous work are generalized in the present paper.  相似文献

Let T be a partial latin square and L be a latin square with TL. We say that T is a latin trade if there exists a partial latin square T with TT= such that (LT)T is a latin square. A k-homogeneous latin trade is one which intersects each row, each column and each entry either 0 or k times. In this paper, we construct 3-homogeneous latin trades from hexagonal packings of the plane with circles. We show that 3-homogeneous latin trades of size 3 m exist for each m3. This paper discusses existence results for latin trades and provides a glueing construction which is subsequently used to construct all latin trades of finite order greater than three.  相似文献

In this paper we study and establish central limit theorem behavior in the skew (generalized) tent map transformation T: Y →Y originally considered by Billings and Bollt [Billings L, Bollt EM. Probability density functions of some skew tent maps. Chaos, Solitons & Fractals 2001; 12: 365–376] and Ito et al. [Ito S, Tanaka S, Nakada H. On unimodal linear transformations and chaos. II. Tokyo J Math 1979; 2: 241–59]. When the measure ν is invariant under T, the transfer operator governing the evolution of densities f under the action of the skew tent map, as well as the unique stationary density, are given explicitly for specific transformation parameters. Then, using this development, we solve the Poisson equation for two specific integrable observables and explicitly calculate the variance σ()2=∫Y2(y)ν(dy).  相似文献

We consider the asymmetric traveling salesperson problem with γ-parameterized triangle inequality for γ[1/2,1). That means, the edge weights fulfill w(u,v)γ(w(u,x)+w(x,v)) for all nodes u,v,x. Chandran and Ram [L.S. Chandran, L.S. Ram, Approximations for ATSP with parametrized triangle inequality, in: Proc. 19th Int. Symp. on Theoret. Aspects of Comput. Sci. (STACS), in: Lecture Notes in Comput. Sci., vol. 2285, Springer, Berlin, 2002, pp. 227–237] gave the first constant factor approximation algorithm with polynomial running time for this problem. They achieve performance ratio γ/(1−γ). We devise an approximation algorithm with performance ratio (1+γ)/(2−γγ3), which is better for γ[0.5437,1), that is, for the particularly interesting large values of γ.  相似文献

An -siphon of width w is the locus of points in the plane that are at the same distance w from a 1-corner polygonal chain C such that is the interior angle of C. Given a set P of n points in the plane and a fixed angle , we want to compute the widest empty -siphon that splits P into two non-empty sets. We present an efficient O(nlog3n)-time algorithm for computing the widest oriented -siphon through P such that the orientation of a half-line of C is known. We also propose an O(n3log2n)-time algorithm for the widest arbitrarily-oriented version and an Θ(nlogn)-time algorithm for the widest arbitrarily-oriented -siphon anchored at a given point.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to the lower bounds on the maximum genus of graphs. A simple statement of our results in this paper can be expressed in the following form:

Let G be a k-edge-connected graph with minimum degree δ, for each positive integer k(3), there exists a non-decreasing function f(δ) such that the maximum genus γM(G) of G satisfies the relation γM(G)f(δ)β(G), and furthermore that limδ→∞f(δ)=1/2, where β(G)=|E(G)|-|V(G)|+1 is the cycle rank of G.

The result shows that lower bounds of the maximum genus of graphs with any given connectivity become larger and larger as their minimum degree increases, and complements recent results of several authors.  相似文献

We develop a method for clustering all types of belief functions, in particular non-consonant belief functions. Such clustering is done when the belief functions concern multiple events, and all belief functions are mixed up. Clustering is performed by decomposing all belief functions into simple support and inverse simple support functions that are clustered based on their pairwise generalized weights of conflict, constrained by weights of attraction assigned to keep track of all decompositions. The generalized conflict c(-,) and generalized weight of conflict J-(-,) are derived in the combination of simple support and inverse simple support functions.  相似文献

We have a ring homomorphism Θ from the cohomology of the extended Morava stabilizer group Gn with coefficients in F[w±1] to the cohomology of Gn+1 with coefficients in the graded field F((un))[u±1]. We give deterministic and randomized algorithms to find shortest paths homotopic to a given collection Π of disjoint paths that wind amongst n point obstacles in the plane. Our deterministic algorithm runs in time , and the randomized algorithm runs in expected time O(kout+kinlogn+n(logn)1+ε). Here kin is the number of edges in all the paths of Π, and kout is the number of edges in the output paths.  相似文献

Oscillation criteria are obtained by using the so called H-method for the second order neutral type delay differential equations of the form

where z(t)=x(t)+p(t)x(τ(t)), r, p, q, τ, σ, C([t0,∞),R) and fC(R,R).

The results of the paper contains several results obtained previously as special cases. Furthermore, we are also able to fix an error in a recent paper related to the oscillation of second order nonneutral delay differential equations.  相似文献
