An externally excited Duffing oscillator under feedback control is discussed and analyzed under the worst resonance case. Multiple time scales method is applied for this system to find analytic solution with the existence and nonexistence of the time delay on control loop. An appropriate stability analysis is also performed and appropriate choices for the feedback gains and the time delay are found in order to reduce the amplitude peak. Different response curves are involved to show and compare controller effects. In addition, analytic solutions are compared with numerical approximation solutions using Rung-Kutta method of fourth order.  相似文献

Periodic solutions for the fundamental resonance response of a van der Pol–Duffing system under time-delayed position and velocity feedbacks are investigated. Using the asymptotic perturbation method, two slow-flow equations for the amplitude and phase of the fundamental resonance response are derived. Their fixed points correspond to limit cycles (phase-locked periodic solutions) for the original system. In the uncontrolled system, periodic solutions exist only for fixed values of amplitude and phase and depend on the system parameters and excitation amplitude. In many cases, the amplitudes of periodic solutions do not correspond to the technical requirements. It is demonstrated that, if the vibration control terms are added, stable periodic solutions with arbitrarily chosen amplitude can be accomplished. Therefore, the results obtained show that an effective vibration amplitude control is possible if appropriate time delay and feedback gains are chosen.  相似文献

A non-local control force is introduced in such a way to obtain a third-order nonlinear differential equation (jerk dynamics) and to control nonlinear vibrations in an externally excited van der Pol oscillator. Two first-order nonlinear ordinary differential equations governing the modulation of the amplitude and the phase of solutions are derived and subsequently the performance of the control strategy is investigated. Excitation amplitude–response and frequency–response curves are shown. In certain cases when the excitation amplitude is very low an approximate analytic solution corresponding to a modulated two-period quasi-periodic motion can be obtained for the uncontrolled system. Uncontrolled and controlled systems are compared and the appropriate choices for the feedback gains are found in order to reduce the amplitude peak of the response and to exclude the possibility of quasi-periodic motion. Numerical simulation confirms the validity of the new method.  相似文献

研究了采用时滞反馈来控制扭转振动系统的振动问题.在一个带有非线性动力吸振器的扭转振动系统中,采用时滞反馈来控制主系统的振动.研究了反馈增益系数和时滞对主系统振动的影响.研究结果表明,对某一固定的反馈增益系数,存在时滞的某段调节区间,可以通过调节时滞来抑制主系统的振动.在时滞的调节区间内存在一个最佳点,主系统的振动被抑制到最小值.可以同时调节反馈增益系数和时滞两参数,当反馈增益系数和时滞都调节到最佳值时,主系统振动的振幅由0.24减小到0.03,取得了很好的减振效果. 关键词: 时滞反馈 扭转振动 减振  相似文献

The bifurcation resulted from moving force may lead to instability for the system. Based on time delay feedback controller, a nonlinear beam under moving load is discussed in the case of the primary resonance and the 1/3 subharmonic resonance. The bifurcation may be eliminated or the bifurcation point's position may be changed. The perturbation method is used to obtain the bifurcation equation of the nonlinear dynamic system. The result indicates time delay feedback controller may work well on this system, but the selection of a proper time delay and its coefficient may depend on the engineering condition. This paper addresses the design problem of the controller with time-delayed acceleration feedback. On the basis of the reduction method and output state-derivative feedback, a time-delayed acceleration feedback controller is proposed. Stability boundaries of the closed-loop system are determined by using Hurwitz stability criteria. Due to the introduction of time delay into the controller with acceleration feedback, the proposed controller has the feature of not only changing the mass property but also altering the damping property of the controlled system in the sense of equivalent structural modification. With this feature, the closed-loop system has a greater logarithmic decrement than the uncontrolled one, and in turn, the control behavior can be improved. In this connection, the time delay in the acceleration feedback control is a positive factor when satisfying some given conditions and it could be actively utilized. On the ground of the analysis, the developed controller is implemented on a cantilever beam for different controller gain–delay combinations, and the control performance is evaluated with the comparison to that of pure acceleration feedback controller. Simulation and experimental results verify the ability of the controller to attenuate the vibration resulting from the dominant mode.  相似文献

The steady-state response motion of a base excited cantilever beam with circular cross-section excited by a unidirectional displacement will fall along a straight line. However, achieving straight-line motion with a real cantilever beam of circular cross-section is difficult to accomplish. This is due to the fact that nonlinear effects, small deviations from circularity, asymmetric boundary conditions, and actuator cross coupling can induce whirling. The vast majority of previous work on cantilever beam whirling has focused on the effects of system nonlinearities. We show that whirling is a much broader problem in the design of resonant beam scanners in that the onset of whirling does not depend on large amplitude of motion. Rather, whirling is the norm in real systems due to small system asymmetries and actuator cross coupling. It is therefore necessary to control the growth of the whirling motion when a unidirectional beam motion is desired. We have developed a novel technique to identify the two eigen directions of the beam. Base excitation generated by virtual electrodes along these orthogonal eigen axes of the cantilever beam system generates tip vibration without whirl. This leads to accurate open loop control of the motion of the beam through the combined actuation of two pairs of orthogonally placed actuator electrodes.  相似文献

Some efficient strategies for the active control of vibrations of a beam structure using piezoelectric materials are described. The control algorithms have been implemented for a cantilever beam model developed using finite element formulation. The vibration response of the beam to an impulse excitation has been calculated numerically for the uncontrolled and the controlled cases. The essence of the method proposed is that a feedback force in different modes be applied according to the vibration amplitude in the respective modes i.e., modes having lesser vibration may receive lesser feedback. This weighting may be done on the basis of either displacement or energy present in different modes. This method is compared with existing methods of modal space control, namely the independent modal space control (IMSC), and modified independent modal space control (MIMSC). The method is in fact an extension of the modified independent space control with the addition that it proposes to use the sum of weighted multiple modal forces for control. The proposed method results in a simpler feedback, which is easy to implement on a controller. The procedure is illustrated for vibration control of a cantilever beam. The analytical results show that the maximum feedback control voltage required in the proposed method is further reduced as compared to existing methods of IMSC and MIMSC for similar vibration control. The limitations of the proposed method are discussed.  相似文献

研究了高频信号和微弱低频信号同时激励下线性时滞反馈对过阻尼双稳系统和Duffing振子系统中振动共振现象的影响. 解析分析和数值结果都表明, 系统对低频信号的响应幅值增益随时滞参数的变化同时呈现两种不同的周期性关系, 其周期分别为输入的高频信号和低频信号的周期. 数值结果还表明, 对不存在经典振动共振现象的单稳Duffing系统, 通过调节时滞参数也可以引发振动共振现象. 使用时滞反馈不仅可以有效地控制振动共振, 还可以进一步增强系统对微弱低频信号的响应. 关键词: 双稳系统 Duffing 系统 线性时滞反馈 振动共振  相似文献

In our consideration, a comparison between four different types of controllers for suppression the vibrations of the cantilever beam excited by an external force is carried out. Those four types are the linear velocity feedback control, the cubic velocity feedback control, the non-linear saturation controller (NSC) and the positive position feedback (PPF) controller. The suitable type is the PPF controller for suppression the vibrations of the cantilever beam. The approximate solution obtained up to the first approximation by using the multiple scale method. The PPF controller effectiveness is studied on the system. We used frequency-response equations to investigate the stability of a cantilever beam. We notified that, there is a good agreement between the analytical solution and the numerical solution.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with master-slave synchronization for two identical non-autonomous horizontal platform systems by using time-delay feedback control. Compared with some existing results on synchronization for horizontal platform systems, the effect of the time delay in the feedback control on master-slave synchronization is investigated. Applying a delay decomposition approach, some delay-dependent synchronization criteria are established and formulated in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Sufficient conditions about the existence of a time delay feedback controller are derived by employing these newly obtained synchronization criteria. The controller gains can be achieved by solving a set of LMIs. One simulation example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of synchronization criteria and the design method.  相似文献

Time-delayed feedback is exploited for controlling noise-induced motion in coherence resonance oscillators. Namely, under the proper choice of time delay, one can either increase or decrease the regularity of motion. It is shown that in an excitable system, delayed feedback can stabilize the frequency of oscillations against variation of noise strength. Also, for fixed noise intensity, the phenomenon of entrainment of the basic oscillation period by the delayed feedback occurs. This allows one to steer the time scales of noise-induced motion by changing the time delay.  相似文献

In this paper, the principal resonance response of a stochastically driven elastic impact(EI) system with time-delayed cubic velocity feedback is investigated. Firstly, based on the method of multiple scales, the steady-state response and its dynamic stability are analyzed in deterministic and stochastic cases, respectively. It is shown that for the case of the multivalued response with the frequency island phenomenon, only the smallest amplitude of the steady-state response is stable under a certain time delay, which is different from the case of the traditional frequency response. Then, a design criterion is proposed to suppress the jump phenomenon, which is induced by the saddle-node bifurcation. The effects of the feedback parameters on the steady-state responses, as well as the size, shape, and location of stability regions are studied. Results show that the system responses and the stability boundaries are highly dependent on these parameters. Furthermore, with the purpose of suppressing the amplitude peak and governing the resonance stability, appropriate feedback gain and time delay are derived.  相似文献

The phenomenon of vibrational resonance in a delayed multistable system that is excited by biharmonic signals is investigated in the present paper. Different from the former theory, the appearance and the disappearance of the vibrational resonance are controlled by adjusting the time delay parameter instead of modulating the amplitude of the high-frequency signal. The motion of the orbit within or between the different potential wells can also be controlled. Furthermore, based on both the methods of numerical simulation and analytical analysis, the behavior of delay-induced multiple vibrational resonance and its mechanism are investigated and discussed. The multiple vibrational resonance, which is quantified by the response amplitude at the low-frequency, is found to be periodic in the delay parameter with two periods, i.e., the periods of the two driven signals. The method used in this paper gives a new way for controlling vibrational resonance in a multistable system.  相似文献

This paper undertakes a nonlinear analysis of a model for a maglev system with time-delayed feedback. Using linear analysis, we determine constraints on the feedback control gains and the time delay which ensure stability of the maglev system. We then show that a Hopf bifurcation occurs at the linear stability boundary. To gain insight into the periodic motion which arises from the Hopf bifurcation, we use the method of multiple scales on the nonlinear model. This analysis shows that for practical operating ranges, the maglev system undergoes both subcritical and supercritical bifurcations, which give rise to unstable and stable limit cycles respectively. Numerical simulations confirm the theoretical results and indicate that unstable limit cycles may coexist with the stable equilibrium state. This means that large enough perturbations may cause instability in the system even if the feedback gains are such that the linear theory predicts that the equilibrium state is stable.  相似文献

Based on a semiconductor laser(SL) with incoherent optical feedback, a novel all-optical scheme for generating tunable and broadband microwave frequency combs(MFCs) is proposed and investigated numerically. The results show that, under suitable operation parameters, the SL with incoherent optical feedback can be driven to operate at a regular pulsing state, and the generated MFCs have bandwidths broader than 40 GHz within a 10 d B amplitude variation. For a fixed bias current, the line spacing(or repetition frequency) of the MFCs can be easily tuned by varying the feedback delay time and the feedback strength, and the tuning range of the line spacing increases with the increase in the bias current. The linewidth of the MFCs is sensitive to the variation of the feedback delay time and the feedback strength, and a linewidth of tens of KHz can be achieved through finely adjusting the feedback delay time and the feedback strength. In addition,mappings of amplitude variation, repetition frequency, and linewidth of MFCs in the parameter space of the feedback delay time and the feedback strength are presented.  相似文献

A torque actuator and a distributed piezoelectric polymer (PVDF) actuator are utilized for control of a rotating cantilever flexible beam. The torque control contains proportional and derivative (PD) feedback for rigid motion control and a PVDF actuator control for vibration damping. Unlike previous approaches in the literature in which the angular velocity feedback was utilized, in this study we propose to use the linear velocity feedback (L-type) in our controller design for feasible implementation and avoiding modal truncation. The stability of the system with the L-type control has been analyzed, using the concept of a virtual joint model. The advantage of the proposed scheme lies in easy implementation, avoidance of modal truncation, efficient suppression of the dominant mode of vibration, and allowing high-speed motions. Numerical examples demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.  相似文献

The objective of this paper is an analytical and numerical study of the dynamics of a beam--mass system. Special attention is given to the phenomena arising due to the motion of the attached mass and modal interactions produced by the existence of multi-component, specifically two-component, parametric resonance under primary resonance. The two-component parametric resonance occurs when the sums or the differences among internal frequencies are the same, or close, as the dimensionless speed parameter of the moving mass. The effects of two-component parametric resonance post on dynamic condition are investigated. Resonance generated by more than two-component modes are neglected due to its remote probability of occurrence in nature.The mechanics of the problem is Newtonian. Based on the assumption that when the moving mass is set in motion the mass is assumed to be rolling on the beam, the mechanics, including the effects due to friction and convective accelerations, of the interface between the moving mass and the beam are determined.Based on the Bernoulli-Euler beam theory, the coupled non-linear equations of motion of an inextensible beam with an attached moving mass are derived. By employing Galerkin procedure, the partial differential equations which describe the motion of a beam-mass system are reduced to an initial-value problem with finite dimensions. The method of multiple time scales is applied to consider the solutions and the occurrence of internal resonance of the resulting multi-degree-of-freedom beam--mass system with time dependent coefficients.  相似文献
