In this paper, the generalized Dodd-Bullough-Mikhailov equation is studied. The existence of periodic wave and unbounded wave solutions is proved by using the method of bifurcation theory of dynamical systems. In this work, we consider a Fisher-Kolmogorov equation depending on two exponential functions of the spatial variables. We study this equation from the point of view of symmetry reductions in partial differential equations. In the paper, the methods of finding first integrals of an autonomous system using one-parameter Lie groups are discussed. A class of nontrivial one-parameter Lie groups admitted by the classical gyroscope system is found, and based on the properties of first integral determined by the one-parameter Lie group, the fourth first integral of the gyroscope system in Euler case, Lagrange case and Kovalevskaya case can be obtained in a uniform idea. An error on the fourth first integral in general Kovalevskaya case (A = B = 2C, ZG =0), which appeared in literature is found and corrected. 相似文献

In this paper, the integral bifurcation method is used to study a nonlinearly dispersive wave equation of Camassa-Holm equation type. Loop soliton solution and periodic loop soliton solution, solitary wave solution and solitary cusp wave solution, smooth periodic wave solution and non-smooth periodic wave solution of this equation are obtained, their dynamic characters are discussed. In this paper we address an initial boundary value problem for a generalized Fisher equation. In particular we develop the matched asymptotic theory presented in Leach and Needham (2000) to consider the correction terms to the asymptotic approach to the wave-front of speed v = v*( 2) as t (time) . We establish the precise form of these corrections, and demonstrate that the rate of approach to the wave-front is algebraic in t when v* = 2 (there being two cases), but exponential in t when v* > 2. 相似文献

In this article, we have used the homotopy perturbation method (HPM) to find the travelling wave solutions for some non-linear initial-value problems in the mathematical physics. These problems consist of the Burgers–Fisher equation, the Kuramoto–Sivashinsky equation, the coupled Schordinger KdV equations and the long–short wave resonance equations together with initial conditions. The results of these problems reveal that the HPM is very powerful, effective, convenient and quite accurate to the systems of non-linear equations. It is predicted that this method can be found widely applicable in engineering and physics. 相似文献

In this paper the boundary integral expression for a one-dimensional wave equation with homogeneous boundary conditions is developed. This is done using the time dependent fundamental solution of the corresponding hyperbolic partial differential equation. The integral expression developed is a generalized function with the same form as the well-known D'Alembert formula. The derivatives of the solution and some useful invariants on the characteristics of the partial differential equation are also calculated.The boundary element method is applied to find the numerical solution. The results show excellent agreement with analytical solutions.A multi-step procedure for large time steps which can be used in the boundary element method is also described.In addition, the way in which boundary conditions are introduced during the time dependent process is explained in detail. In the Appendix the main properties of Dirac's delta function and the Heaviside unit step function are described. 相似文献

By using the method of dynamical systems to Mikhailov-Novikov-Wang Equation, through qualitative analysis, we obtain bifurcations of phase portraits of the traveling system of the derivative $\phi(\xi)$ of the wave function $\psi(\xi)$. This paper considers travelling wave solutions of a quasilinear parabolic equation corresponding to the propagation of a front in some striated medium. The striations, whose geometry play a crucial role on the type of solutions obtained, are supposed to be oblique and disposed in a periodic fashion. We show that the speed of such travelling waves depends in a monotonous way on the angle of inclination of the striations. 相似文献
