The magnetic solids Cu(terpy)Mo2O7 (terpy = terpyridine) and Cu(OH)(p-pyc)H2O (p-pyc = p-pyridinecarboxylate) have a spin gap and possess chains of Cu2+ ions in which two different Cu...Cu distances alternate. On the basis of their reported crystal structures, the spin-exchange interactions of these compounds were examined by performing spin dimer analysis to determine whether an antiferromagnetic dimer or an alternating antiferromagnetic chain model is appropriate for their magnetic properties. Our analysis shows that an antiferromagnetic dimer model is correct for both compounds because of the anisotropic overlap between the magnetic orbitals of their Cu2+ sites.  相似文献

A new series of anhydrous mixed alkali-metal borophosphates-Li(2) Cs(2) B(2) P(4) O(15) (1), LiK(2) BP(2) O(8) (2), Li(3) K(2) BP(4) O(14) (3), and Li(3) Rb(2) BP(4) O(14) (4)-have been successfully synthesized by using the conventional solid-state reaction method. Compound 1 contains a novel fundamental building unit (FBU), [B(4) P(8) O(30) ], with B/P=1:2. Compound 2 contains an FBU of [B(2) P(4) O(16) ] with B/P=1:2. Compounds 3 and 4 are isotypic, and they have a [B(P(2) O(7) )(2) ] unit as their FBU. In all four compounds, their FBUs are connected through corner sharing to generate layered anionic partial structures, and then further linked with metallic polyhedra to form three-dimensional (3D) frameworks. Most interestingly, three of the four compounds contain direct P-O-P connections in their structures, which is extremely rare among borophosphates. Thermal analyses, IR spectroscopy, and UV/Vis/near-IR diffuse reflectance spectroscopy have also been performed on the four title compounds.  相似文献

The reactions of manganese(II) acetate or perchlorate, sodium azide or sodium cyanate, and the zwitterionic dicarboxylate ligand 1,4-bis(4-carboxylatopyridinium-1-methylene)benzene (L) under different conditions yielded three different Mn(II) coordination polymers with mixed carboxylate and azide (or cyanate) bridges: {[Mn (L(1))(0.5)(N(3))(OAc)]·3H(2)O}(n) (1), {[Mn(4)(L(1))(N(3))(8)(H(2)O)(4)(CH(3)OH)(2)]·[L(1)]}(n) (2), and {[Mn(3)(L(1))(NCO)(6)(H(2)O)(4)]·[L(1)]·[H(2)O](2)}(n) (3). The compounds exhibit diverse structures and magnetic properties. In 1, the 1D uniform anionic [Mn(N(3))(COO)(2)](n) chains with the (μ-EO-N(3))(μ-COO)(2) triple bridges (EO = end-on) are interlinked by the dipyridinium L ligands into highly undulated 2D layers. Magnetic studies on 1 reveal that the mixed triple bridges induce antiferromagnetic coupling between Mn(II) ions. Compounds 2 and 3 consist of 1D neutral polymeric chains and co-crystallized zwitterions, and the chains are formed by the L ligands interlinking linear polynuclear units. The polynuclear unit in 2 is tetranuclear with (μ-EO-N(3))(2) as central bridges and (μ-EO-N(3))(2)(μ-COO) as peripheral bridges, while that in 3 is trinuclear with (μ-NCO)(2)(μ-COO) bridges. Magnetic studies demonstrate that the magnetic coupling through the mixed azide/isocyanate and carboxylate bridges in 2 and 3 is antiferromagnetic. An expression of magnetic susceptibility based on a 2-J model for linear tetranuclear systems of classical spins has been deduced and applied to 2.  相似文献

A new iron(III) phosphite templated by ethylenediamine has been synthesized using solvothermal conditions under autogenous pressure. The (C2N2H10)[Fe(HPO3)F3] compound has been characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction data and spectroscopic and magnetic techniques. The crystal structure is formed by chains extended along the c axis and surrounded by ethylenediammonium cations. A study by diffuse-reflectance spectroscopy has been performed, and the calculated Dq, B, and C parameters for the Fe(III) cations are 1030, 720, and 3080 cm(-1), respectively. The M?ssbauer spectrum at room temperature is characteristic of Fe(III) ions. The electron spin resonance (ESR) spectra carried out at different temperatures show isotropic signals with a g value of 2.00(1). The thermal evolution of the intensity of the ESR signals indicates the existence of antiferromagnetic interactions for the Fe(III) phase. The magnetic susceptibility data of the Cr(III) and V(III) compounds show antiferromagnetic couplings. The J-exchange parameters of the Fe(III) and Cr(III) compounds have been calculated by using a model for a triangular spin ladder chain. The values are J1 = -1.63(1) K and J2 = -0.87(2) K with g = 2.02 for the Fe(III) phase and J(1) = -0.56(2) K and J2 = -0.40(2) K with g = 1.99 for the Cr(III) compound. In the case of the V(III) phase, the fit has been performed considering a linear chain with the magnetic parameters D = 2.5 cm(-1) and J = -1.15(1) K.  相似文献

Mn(hfac)(2) complexes of [2-(5-pyrimidinyl)-4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-4,5-dihydro-1H- imidazoline-1-oxyl 3-oxide] (1) and its 2-(3-pyridyl) analogue (2) were prepared. Both complexes formed similar dimer structures. However, their packing patterns were considerably different. The pyrimidine dimers were aligned to form a linear chain structure, and each dimer was weakly bound by two sets of O6-C2 short contacts. In the pyridine dimer complex, two structurally similar but independent dimers were alternatively arranged, and two dimer-dimer contacts, O6-C2 (3.13 A) and O6-C3 (3.30 A), were observed. The pyrimidine complex showed strong antiferromagnetic behavior in the high temperature region (150-300 K) and weak ferromagnetic behavior below 100 K. Two models were used to analyze these magnetic properties. One is a quintet-septet thermal equilibrium model with mean-field approximation, which can reproduce the round minimum observed at about 150 K in chi(p)T plots (J(1)/k(B) = -148 +/- 2 K with theta = +2.5 +/- 0.1 K). The other is a ferromagnetic S = 2 chain model to fit the chi(p)T values in the lower temperature region (J(S=2)/k(B) = +0.31 +/- 0.01 K). The pyridine complex showed antiferromagnetic interactions both in the high and low temperature regions. The magnetic behavior was similarly analyzed with the following parameters: J(1)/k(B) = -140 +/- 2 K with theta = -0.55 +/- 0.05 K, and J(S=2)/k(B) = -0.075 +/- 0.003 K. The ligand-ligand interactions for both of the complexes were theoretically analyzed. The calculated results agreed well with the experiments. The stronger antiferromagnetic behavior observed in both the complexes at high temperatures was attributed to the magnetic interaction between the Mn(II) and the coordinating nitroxide oxygen atom. The weaker ferromagnetic interaction, J(S=2)/k(B) = +0.31 +/- 0.01 K, in the pyrimidine complex was attributed to the coulombic O6-C2 contact. Antiferromagnetic interaction J(S=2)/k(B) = -0.075 +/- 0.003 K in the pyridine complex was attributed to the O6-C3 contact.  相似文献

Reactions between CuCl2 and K2tcpd (tcpd2- = [C10N6]2- = (C[C(CN)2]3)2-) in the presence of neutral co-ligands (bpym = 2,2'-bipyrimidine, and tn = 1,3-diaminopropane) in aqueous solution yield the new compounds [Cu2(bpym)(tcpd)2(H2O)4] x 2H2O (1), [Cu(tn)(tcpd)] (2), and [Cu(tn)2(tcpd)] x H2O (3), which are characterized by X-ray crystallography and magnetic measurements. Compound 1 displays a one-dimensional structure in which the bpym ligand, acting with a bis-chelating coordination mode, leads to [Cu2(bpym)]4+ dinuclear units which are connected by two mu2-tcpd2- bridging ligands. Compound 2 consists of a three-dimensional structure generated by [Cu(tn)]2+ units connected by a mu4-tcpd2- ligand. The structure of 3 is made up of centrosymmetric planar [Cu(tn)]2+ units connected by a mu2-tcpd2- ligand leading to infinite zigzag chains. In compounds 1 and 3, the bridging coordination mode of the tcpd2- unit involves only two nitrogen atoms of one C(CN)2 wing, while in 2, this ligand acts via four nitrogen atoms of two C(CN)2 wings. Despite this difference, the structural features of the tcpd2- units in 1-3 are essentially similar. Magnetic measurements for compound 1 exhibit a maximum in the chi(m) vs T plot (at approximately 150 K) which is characteristic of strong antiferromagnetic exchange interactions between the Cu(II) metal ions dominated by the magnetic exchange through the bis-chelating bpym. The fit of the magnetic data to a dimer model gives J and g values of -90.0 cm(-1) and 2.12, respectively. For compounds 2 and 3 the thermal variations of the magnetic susceptibility show weak antiferromagnetic interactions between the Cu(II) metal ions that can be well reproduced with an antiferromagnetic regular S = 1/2 chain model that gives J values of -0.07(2) and -0.18(1) cm(-1) with g values of 2.12(1) and 2.13(1) for compounds 2 and 3, respectively (the Hamiltonian is written in all the cases as H = -2JS(a)S(b)).  相似文献

Five Fe(III)Mn(III) bimetallic compounds [Fe(iqc)(CN)(3)][Mn(5-Xsalen)]·pMeOH·qMeCN·rH(2)O [Hiqc = N-(quinolin-8-yl)isoquinoline-1-carboxamide; salen = N,N'-ethylenebis(salicylideneiminato) dianion; X = H(2), F(3, 3a), Cl(4), Br(5)] were prepared by assembling a newly designed mer-Fe tricyanide (Ph(4)P)[Fe(iqc)(CN)(3)]·0.5H(2)O (1) and the respective Mn Schiff bases Mn(5-Xsalen)(+). Compounds 2-4 show linear chain structures in which trans-positioned cyanides of the Fe precursor bridge neighbouring Mn atoms, while 5 is a zigzag chain coordination polymer where two cyanide groups of the precursor in the cis mode act as bridges. The structural change from linear to zigzag may arise from the size effect of the halogens. The reversible structural transformation occurs between 3 and 3a upon the solvation-desolvation protocol and the corresponding magnetic behaviours are affected. Furthermore, in 4 and 5, the helical chains are established through hydrogen bonding of solvent molecules. From a magnetostructural point of view, within the linear chain system, the ferromagnetic coupling in 2, contrary to antiferromagnetic interactions in 3-4, is associated with the large torsion angle of C(eq)-Fe-Mn-N(O)(eq) (eq = equatorial) as well as almost the linear Mn-N≡C angle.  相似文献

A number of dicopper(II) complexes of reduced Schiff base ligands, N-(2-hydroxybenzyl)-amino acids [Cu2L2(H2O)x].yH2O (L = Sgly (1), D-Sala (2), L-Sala (3), DL-Sala (4), Sab2 (5), Sbal (6), Sab4 (7), Sval (8), Shis (9), Styr (10) and Stryp (11), x= 0-2 & y= 0-2) have been synthesized, and the solid-state structures of, and have been determined. The compounds and are binuclear in which the Cu(II) centres have square-pyramidal geometry with apical sites occupied by aqua ligands. In and one axial site is occupied by water and the other by an oxygen atom of the carboxylate group from the adjacent dimer through oxygen atoms to form 1D helical polymer. Variable temperature magnetic measurements of the dimer and helical polymer showed that they are typical for moderately strong antiferromagnetic coupling. All the complexes show significant catalytic activity on the oxidation of 3,5-di-tert-butylcatechol. The activity measured in terms of Kcat in the range 199-3800 h(-1) has been found to follow the order: 7>6>8>3>5 approximately 2 approximately 1>4 >10 >9 >11. The catalytic activity is found to increase with increasing the length of the methylene side chain of the amino acid in the reduced Schiff base ligands.  相似文献

Two stable supramolecular microporous cobalt(II) polymers, namely [Co(HAIP)2]n.3nH2O (1) and [Co(AIP)(H2O)]n (2), AIP = 5-aminoisophthalate, were hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, IR spectra, thermogravimetric analyses, and variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements. The two complexes are constructed from the same Co2(CO2)2 SBU, which is extended into a 1D chain in 1 and a 2D layer in 2. As a result, 1 and 2 are 2D and 3D coordination polymers, respectively. The 3D supramolecular network of complex 1 is held up by strong hydrogen bonds formed between carboxylate groups and shows very high stability when the free H2O molecules are removed, indicating an extraordinarily stable H-bonding system. Upon water ligands being liberated, complex 2 becomes a stable microporous solid with coordination-unsaturated Co centers. The behavior of the susceptibility curve of 1 suggests the occurrence of an interesting intrachain antiferromagnetic coupling between the Co(II) ions and the presence of a significant orbital contribution, whereas the features of 2 indicate an antiferromagnetic coupling with T(N) = 3.5 K and a long-range antiferromagnetic order with a field-induced magnetic transition.  相似文献

Seven new glutaric acid complexes, Co(H 2O) 5L 1, Na 2[CoL 2] 2, Na 2[L(H 2L) 4/2] 3, {[Co 3(H 2O) 6L 2](HL) 2}.4H 2O 4, {[Co 3(H 2O) 6L 2](HL) 2}.10H 2O 5, {[Co 3(H 2O) 6L 2]L 2/2}.4H 2O 6, and Na 2{[Co 3(H 2O) 2]L 8/2].6H 2O 7 were obtained and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction methods along with elemental analyses, IR spectroscopic and magnetic measurements (for 1 and 2). The [Co(H 2O) 5L] complex molecules in 1 are assembled into a three-dimensional supramolecular architecture based on intermolecular hydrogen bonds. Compound 2 consists of the Na (+) cations and the necklace-like glutarato doubly bridged [ C o L 4 / 2 ] 2 - infinity 1 anionic chains, and 3 is composed of the Na (+) cations and the anionic hydrogen bonded ladder-like [ L ( H 2 L ) 4 / 2 ] 2 - infinity 1 anionic chains. The trinuclear {[Co 3(H 2O) 6L 2](HL) 2} complex molecules with edge-shared linear trioctahedral [Co 3(H 2O) 6L 2] (2+) cluster cores in 4 and 5 are hydrogen bonded into two-dimensional (2D) networks. The edge-shared linear trioctahedral [Co 3(H 2O) 6L 2] (2+) cluster cores in 6 are bridged by glutarato ligands to generate one-dimensional (1D) chains, which are then assembled via interchain hydrogen bonds into 2D supramolecular networks. The corner-shared linear [Co 3O 16] trioctahedra in 7 are quaternate bridged by glutarato ligands to form 1D band-like anionic {[Co 3(H 2O) 2]L 8/2} (2+) chains, which are assembled via interchain hydrogen bonds into 2D layers, and between them are sandwiched the Na (+) cations. The magnetic behaviors of 1 and 2 obey the Curie-Weiss law with chi m = C/( T - Theta) with the Curie constant C = 3.012(8) cm (3) x mol (-1) x K and the Weiss constant Theta = -9.4(7) K for 1, as well as C = 2.40(1) cm (3) x mol (-1) x K and Theta = -2.10(5) K for 2, indicating weak antiferromagnetic interactions between the Co(II) ions.  相似文献

The crystal structures and magnetic properties of melilite-type oxides Sr(2)MGe(2)O(7) (M = Mn, Co) were investigated. These compounds crystallize in the melilite structure with space group P ?42(1)m, in which the M and Ge ions occupy two kinds of tetrahedral sites in an ordered manner. The magnetic M ions form a square-planar lattice in the ab plane. Both compounds do not show the structural phase transition down to 2.5 K. The temperature dependence of magnetic susceptibility for Sr(2)MnGe(2)O(7) shows a broad peak at ~6.0 K because of a two-dimensional magnetic interaction between Mn ions in the ab plane. At 4.4 K, an antiferromagnetic transition was observed. The magnetic structure was determined by the neutron powder diffraction measurements at 2.5 K. It can be represented by the propagation vector k = (0, 0, 1/2), and the magnetic moments of Mn(2+) (3.99 μ(B)) ions order antiferromagnetically in a collinear manner along the c axis. On the other hand, Sr(2)CoGe(2)O(7) shows an antiferromagnetic transition at 6.5 K with divergence between zero-field-cooled and field-cooled susceptibilities. Its magnetic structure determined at 2.5 K has a magnetic propagation vector k = (0, 0, 0), and the ordered magnetic moment of Co(2+) (2.81 μ(B)) adopts a collinear arrangement lying on the ab plane.  相似文献

Two new metal selenites with a combination of vanadium(IV) or vanadium(V) cations, namely, ZnVSe 2O 7 and Cd 6V 2Se 5O 21, have been synthesized by hydrothermal and high-temperature solid-state reactions, respectively. The structure of ZnVSe 2O 7 features a 3D network of vanadium(IV) selenite with 1D tunnels occupied by zinc(II) ions. The 3D network of vanadium(IV) selenite is formed by corner-sharing V (IV)O 6 octahedral chains bridged by selenite groups. In Cd 6V 2Se 5O 21, the interconnection of cadmium(II) ions by bridging and chelating selenite groups led to a 3D framework with large tunnels along the b axis, and the 1D chains of corner-sharing V (V)O 4 tetrahedra are inserted in the above large tunnels and are bonded to the cadmium selenite framework via Cd-O-V bridges. Both compounds exhibit broad emission bands in the blue-light region. Results of magnetic property measurements show there is significant antiferromagnetic interaction between V (4+) centers in ZnVSe 2O 7. The electronic structure calculations for both compounds have been also performed.  相似文献

Two new alkali metal borophosphates, K3[BP3O9(OH)3] and Rb3[B2P3O11(OH)2], were synthesized by applying solvothermal techniques using ethanol as solvent. The crystal structures were solved by means of single-crystal X-ray diffraction (K3[BP3O9(OH)3], monoclinic, C2/c (No. 15), a = 2454.6(8) pm, b = 736.3(2) pm, c = 1406.2(4) pm, beta = 118.35(2) degrees , Z = 8; Rb3[B2P3O11(OH)2], monoclinic, P2(1)/c (No. 14), a = 781.6(2) pm, b = 667.3(2) pm, c = 2424.8(5) pm, beta = 92.88(1) degrees , Z = 4). Both crystal structures comprise borophosphate chain anions. While for the rubidium compound a loop-branched chain motif is found as common for most of the chain anions in alkali metal borophosphates, the crystal structure of the potassium phase comprises the first open-branched chain with the highest phosphate content found so far in this group of compounds. Both chain anions are closely related to known anhydrous or hydrated phases, and the structural relations are discussed in terms of how the presence of OH groups and hydrogen bonds as well as number, charge, and size of charge balancing cations influence the 3D structural arrangement. The anionic entities are classified in terms of general principles of structural systematics for borophosphates.  相似文献

Reactions between [M(N(4)-macrocycle)](2+) (M = Zn(II) and Ni(II); macrocycle ligands are either CTH = d,l-5,5,7,12,12,14-hexamethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane or cyclam = 1,4, 8, 11-tetrazaazaciclotetradecane) and [M(CN)(6)](3-) (M = Fe(III) and Mn(III)) give rise to cyano-bridged assemblies with 1D linear chain and 2D honeycomblike structures. The magnetic measurements on the 1D linear chain complex [Fe(cyclam)][Fe(CN)(6)].6H(2)O 1 points out its metamagnetic behavior, where the ferromagnetic interaction operates within the chain and the antiferromagnetic one between chains. The Neel temperature, T(N), is 5.5 K and the critical field at 2 K is 1 T. The unexpected ferromagnetic intrachain interaction can be rationalized on the basis of the axially elongated octahedral geometry of the low spin Fe(III) ion of the [Fe(cyclam)](3+) unit. The isostructural substitution of [Fe(CN)(6)](3-) by [Mn(CN)(6)](3-) in the previously reported complex [Ni(cyclam)](3)[Fe(CN)(6)](2).12H(2)O 2 leads to [Ni(cyclam)](3)[Mn(CN)(6)](2).16 H(2)O 3, which exhibits a corrugated 2D honeycomblike structure and a metamagnetic behavior with T(N) = 16 K and a critical field of 1 T. In the ferromagnetic phase (H > 1 T) this compound shows a very important coercitive field of 2900 G at 2 K. Compound [Ni(CTH)](3)[Fe(CN)(6)](2).13H(2)O 4, C(60)H(116)Fe(2)N(24)Ni(3)O(13), monoclinic, A 2/n, a = 20.462(7), b = 16.292(4), c = 27.262(7) A, beta = 101.29(4) degrees, Z = 4, also has a corrugated 2D honeycomblike structure and a ferromagnetic intralayer interaction, but, in contrast to 2 and 3, does not exhibit any magnetic ordering. This fact is likely due to the increase of the interlayer separation in this compound. ([Zn(cyclam)Fe(CN)(6)Zn(cyclam)] [Zn(cyclam)Fe(CN)(6)].22H(2)O.EtOH) 5, C(44)H(122)Fe(2)N(24)O(23)Zn(3), monoclinic, A 2/n, a = 14.5474(11), b = 37.056(2), c = 14.7173(13) A, beta = 93.94(1) degrees, Z = 4, presents an unique structure made of anionic linear chains containing alternating [Zn(cyclam)](2+) and [Fe(CN)(6)](3)(-) units and cationic trinuclear units [Zn(cyclam)Fe(CN)(6)Zn(cyclam)](+). Their magnetic properties agree well with those expected for two [Fe(CN)(6)](3-) units with spin-orbit coupling effect of the low spin iron(III) ions.  相似文献

On the basis of high-spin metal-cyanide clusters of Mn(III)(6)M(III) (M = Cr, Fe, Co), three one-dimensional (1D) chain complexes, [Mn(salen)](6)[Cr(CN)(6)](2)·6CH(3)OH·H(2)O (1), [Mn(5-CH(3))salen)](6)[Fe(CN)(6)](2)·2CH(3)CN·10H(2)O (2), and [Mn(5-CH(3))salen)](6)[Co(CN)(6)](2)·2CH(3)CN·10H(2)O (3) [salen = N,N'-ethylenebis(salicylideneiminato) dianion], have been synthesized and characterized structurally as well as magnetically. Complexes 2 and 3 are isomorphic but slightly different from complex 1. All three complexes contain a 1D chain structure which is comprised of alternating high-spin metal-cyanide clusters of [Mn(6)M](3+) and a bridging group [M(CN)(6)](3-) in the trans mode. Furthermore, the three complexes all exhibit extended 3D supramolecular networks originating from short intermolecular contacts. Magnetic investigation indicates that the coupling mechanisms are intrachain antiferromagnetic interactions for 1 and ferromagnetic interactions for 2, respectively. Complex 3 is a magnetic dilute system due to the diamagnetic nature of Co(III). Further magnetic investigations show that complexes 1 and 2 are dominated by the 3D antiferromagnetic ordering with T(N) = 7.2 K for 1 and 9.5 K for 2. It is worth noting that the weak frequency-dependent phenomenon of AC susceptibilities was observed in the low-temperature region in both 1 and 2, suggesting the presence of slow magnetic relaxations.  相似文献

The reaction in water of M(II) [M = Ni or Mn] with 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) and sodium pyrophosphate (Na4P2O7) in a 2:4:1 stoichiometry resulted in the crystallization of dinuclear complexes featuring the heretofore rare bridging pyrophosphate. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies revealed the complexes to be {[(phen)2Ni]2(micro-P2O7)} . 27H2O (1) and {[(phen)2Mn]2(micro-P2O7)} . 13H2O (2) where the asymmetric M(phen)2 units are bridged by bis-bidentate pyrophosphate, each metal ion exhibiting a distorted octahedral geometry. The bridging pyrophosphate places adjacent metal centers at 5.031 A in 1 and 4.700 A in 2, and its conformation also gives rise to an intramolecular pi-pi interaction between two adjacent phen ligands. Intermolecular pi-pi interactions between phen ligands from adjacent dinuclear complexes create an ornate 3D network in 1, whereas a 2D sheet results in 2. The hydrophilic nature of the pyrophosphate ligand leads to heavy hydration with the potential solvent-accessible area for 1 and 2 accounting for 45.7% and 26.4% of their unit cell volumes, respectively. Variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements on polycrystalline samples of 1 and 2 revealed net weak intramolecular antiferromagnetic coupling between metal centers in both compounds with J = -3.77 cm(-1) in 1 and J = -0.88 cm(-1) in 2, the Hamiltonian being defined as H = -JSA.SB. The ability of the bis-bidentate pyrophosphate to mediate magnetic interactions between divalent first row transition metal ions is discussed bearing in mind the number and nature of the interacting magnetic orbitals.  相似文献

The magnetic structures of the Cu(2)O(3) spin lattices present in Cu(4)O(3) and Ag(2)Cu(2)O(3) were analyzed by studying their spin exchange interactions on the basis of spin dimer analysis. Calculations of spin exchange parameters were calibrated by studying LiCuVO(4) whose intrachain and interchain antiferromagnetic spin exchange parameters are known experimentally. The magnetic phase transition of Cu(4)O(3) at 42.3 K doubles the unit cell along each crystallographic direction. The spin arrangements of the Cu(2)O(3) lattice consistent with this experimental observation are different from conventional antiferromagnetic ordering. Our analysis indicates that spin fluctuation should occur in Cu(4)O(3), low-dimensional magnetism should be more important than magnetic frustration in Cu(4)O(3), and Ag(2)Cu(2)O(3) and Cu(4)O(3) should have similar structural and magnetic properties.  相似文献

Seven new polynuclear copper(II) complexes of formula [Cu(mu-pymca)2] (1) (pymca(-) = pyrimidine-2-carboxylato), [Cu(mu-pymca)Br] (2), [Cu(mu-pymca)Cl] (3), [Cu(mu-pymca)(SCN)(H2O)] x 4 H2O (4), [Cu(mu-pymca)N3] (5), [Cu2(mu1,5-dca)2(pymca)2] (6) (dca = dicyanamide), and K{[mu-Au(CN)2]2[(Cu(NH3)2)2(mu-pymca)]}[Au(CN)2]2 (7) have been synthesized by reactions of K-pymca with copper(II) ions in the presence of different counteranions. Compound 1 is a linear neutral chain with a carboxylato bridging ligand in a syn-anti coordination mode, whereas complexes 2 and 3 consist of cationic linear chains with cis and trans bis(chelating) pymca bridging ligands. Complex 4 adopts a helical pymca-bridged chain structure. In complex 5, zigzag pymca-bridged chains are connected by double end-on azide bridging ligands to afford a unique honeycomb layer structure. Complex 6 is a centrosymmetric dinuclear system with double mu 1,5-dicyanamide bridging ligands and pymca end-cap ligands. Complex 7 is made of pymca-bridged dinuclear [Cu(NH3)2(mu-pymca)Cu(NH3)2](3+) units connected by [Au(CN)2](-) anions to four other dinuclear units, giving rise to cationic (4,4) rectangular nets, which are linked by aurophilic interactions to afford a singular 3D network. Variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements show that complex 1 exhibits a very weak antiferromagnetic coupling through the syn-anti (equatorial-axial) carboxylate bridge (J = -0.57 cm(-1)), whereas complexes 2-4 and 7 exhibit weak to strong antiferromagnetic couplings through the bis(chelating) pymca bridging ligand J = -17.5-276.1 cm(-1)). Quantum Monte Carlo methods have been used to analyze the experimental magnetic data for 5, leading to an antiferromagnetic coupling (J = -34 cm(-1)) through the pymca ligand and to a ferromagnetic coupling (J = 71 cm(-1)) through the azide bridging ligands. Complex 6 exhibits a very weak antiferromagnetic coupling through the dicyanamide bridging ligands (J = -5.1 cm(-1)). The magnitudes of the magnetic couplings in complexes 2-5 have been explained on the basis of the overlapping between magnetic orbitals and DFT theoretical calculations.  相似文献

Sandwich-type hydrogen-bonded supramolecular dications (DAAz(2+))([18]crown-6)(2) and (DAAz(2+))(dicyclohexane[18]crown-6)(2) (DAAz(2+) = 4,4'-(phenylazophenyl)diammonium) were introduced into [Ni(dmit)(2)](-) anions via a diffusion method to form novel single crystals (DAAz(2+))([18]crown-6)(2)[Ni(dmit)(2)](2) (1) and (DAAz(2+))(dicyclohexane[18]crown-6)(2)[Ni(dmit)(2)](2) (2), respectively, which were characterized based on their crystal structures and magnetic susceptibilities. The molecular assembly structures and its physical properties were expanded in the use of a three component molecular network system. The two ammonium groups (-NH(3)(+)) of the DAAz(2+) dication formed N-H(+)-O hydrogen-bonding interactions with the oxygen atoms of [18]crown-6 and dicyclohexane[18]crown-6. In the case of crystal 1, an alternating π-stacking interaction was observed for the [Ni(dmit)(2)](-) anions, whereas orthogonal linear π-S interactions were detected for crystal 2. Temperature-dependent magnetic susceptibilities of crystals 1 and 2 followed the alternate Heisenberg antiferromagnetic chain (J = -15.8 K) and linear Heisenberg antiferromagnetic chain (J = -13.7 K) models, respectively.  相似文献
