Using ZnCl2 activation we prepared a series of carbon electrodes from waste coffee grounds to study the effect of mesopores on double-layer capacitance in a tetraethyl ammonium tetrafluoroborate/acetonitrile electrolyte. The activated carbon with the largest mesopore volume achieved an energy density of 34 Wh kg?1 at low current loads, and significantly retained an energy density of 16.5 Wh kg?1 and specific capacitance of more than 100 F g?1 at fast charge–discharge rates (20 A g?1). The effect of mesopores on capacitance at fast charge–discharge rates is discussed.  相似文献

A series of branched/crosslinked sulfonated polyimide (B/C‐SPI) membranes were prepared and evaluated as proton‐conducting ionomers based on the new concept of in situ crosslinking from sulfonated polyimide (SPI) oligomers and triamine monomers. Chemical branching and crosslinking in SPI oligomers with 1,3,5‐tris(4‐aminophenoxy)benzene as a crosslinker gave the polymer membranes very good water stability and mechanical properties under an accelerated aging treatment in water at 130 °C, despite their high ion‐exchange capacity (2.2–2.6 mequiv g?1). The resulting polymer electrolytes displayed high proton conductivities of 0.2–0.3 S cm?1 at 120 °C in water and reasonably high conductivities of 0.02–0.03 S cm?1 at 50% relative humidity. In a single H2/O2 fuel‐cell system at 90 °C, they exhibited high fuel‐cell performances comparable to those of Nafion 112. The B/C‐SPI membranes also displayed good performances in a direct methanol fuel cell with methanol concentrations as high as 50 wt % that were superior to those of Nafion 112. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A new analytical method that uses high performance liquid chromatography–diode array detector (HPLC–DAD) was developed for the analysis of 14 benzimidazoles residues, including metabolites, in bovine liver. Samples were extracted using two different extraction procedures: with phosphate buffer after enzymatic hydrolysis (method A) or using organic solvent, i.e. acetonitrile (method B). Then, samples were purified on a strong cation exchange (SCX) cartridge and analyzed in HPLC/DAD. The recovery percentages, obtained spiking the matrix (liver) at concentrations of 500 and 100 μg kg?1 with a standard mixture of benzimidazoles, were in the range 6–101% and 80–102% for methods A and B, respectively. The repeatability of the methods was assessed in all cases by the % of correlation value (CV) that was lower than 19%. The limits of quantification (LOQs) in the matrix for methods A and B were in the range 40–60 and 20–50 μg kg?1, respectively. The best of the two methods, method B, was used for the analysis of 10 bovine liver samples.  相似文献

A rapid and simple method for the determination of propionylbrassinolide residues in tomatoes, apples and grapes using GC–MS is reported. Samples were extracted with acetonitrile, and the extracts were analyzed without any further clean-up. The results showed good linearity (r 2 > 0.99) with standard solutions over the concentration range of 0.5–50 mg L−1. The LODs and LOQs of propionylbrassinolide were 0.15 and 0.5 mg kg−1 in all samples. Recoveries were in the range of 81.9–111.2%, with corresponding RSDs of 4.6–12.9% for three fortified levels. Intra- and inter-day RSDs were in the ranges of 1.5–14.2% and 5.3–15.6%. It was demonstrated that the proposed method is simple and efficient, and particularly suitable for detecting propionylbrassinolide residues in fruit and vegetables.  相似文献

A simple and efficient method based on hollow fiber protected headspace liquid-phase in conjunction with high performance liquid chromatography has been introduced for extraction and determination of three residual monomers (2-ethylhexyl acrylate (EHA), vinyl acetate (VA), glycidyl methacrylate (GM)) in polymer latex. Using this methodology, the analytes of interest extracted from a sample are led into organic solvent located inside the porous hollow fiber membrane. Initially, several experimental parameters were controlled and optimized and the optimum conditions were reached with 8 cm neatly cut hollow fibers containing heptanol, which were exposed to the headspace of a 12 mL sample solution containing 20% (w/v) NaCl thermostated at 110 °C and stirred at 800 rpm for 20 min. Finally, 20 μL of the extraction solution was withdrawn into a syringe and injected into HPLC for analysis. The calibration curves were linear (r2 ≥ 0.994) over the concentration range of 0.05-10 mg L−1 for VA and 0.02-10 mg L−1 for other analytes. The relative standard deviation (RSD%) for three-replicate extractions and measurements was below 8.6%. The limits of detection of this method for quantitative determination of the analytes were found within the range of 0.005 to 0.011 mg kg−1 with the enrichment factors within the 5-164 range. The method was successfully applied for determination of residual monomers in polymer latex.  相似文献

A high-performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) method is described for the simultaneous determination of honokiol and magnolol in rat plasma. The plasma was deproteinized with acetonitrile which contained an internal standard (diphenyl) and was separated from the aqueous layer by adding sodium chloride. Honokiol and magnolol are extracted into the acetonitrile layer with high yield, and determined by reversed-phase HPLC and ultraviolet detection. The limits of quantitation for honokiol and magnolol were 13 and 25 ng ml−1 in plasma, respectively, and recovery of both analytes was greater than 93%. The assay was linear from 20 to 200 ng ml−1 for honokiol and from 40 to 400 ng ml−1 for magnolol. Variation over the range of the standard curve was less than 15%. The method was used to determine the concentration-time profiles of honokiol and magnolol in the plasma following rectal administration of Houpo extract at a dose of 245 mg kg−1, equivalent to 13.5, 24.4 mg kg−1 of honokiol and magnolol, respectively.  相似文献

We report the cyclo-depolymerization of poly(propylene terephthalate) to give a mixture of cyclic oligomers in 94% yield, the characterization of the mixture by 1H-NMR spectroscopy, matrix assisted laser desorption ionization time of flight mass spectrometry and gel permeation chromatography. The major cyclic oligomer in the mixture was shown to be the cyclic dimer. It was isolated and its X-ray crystal structure determined. Some entropically-driven ring-opening polymerizations of the cyclic oligomers were carried out. So too were some copolymerizations using mixtures of the cyclic oligomers and those derived similarly from poly(ethylene terephthalate) and poly(butylene terephthalate). 13C-NMR spectroscopic analysis showed that the copolymers were random. Summary A high-performance liquid-chromatographic method with UV detection (HPLC–UV) has been developed for quantification of ethylene terephthalate oligomers in olive oil, from which they were extracted with acetonitrile. Oligomers, from monomers (M1) to pentamers (M5), were jointly and/or individually identified by liquid chromatography with mass spectrometry (electron-impact mass spectrometry (EIMS) low- and high-resolution) and were quantified by HPLC–UV using an acetonitrile solution of the major oligomer (the trimer M3) as standard. For M3 recovery was 98.9%, the detection limit was 60 g L–2, and method precision was 2.03% (RSD). Migration of oligomers M1–M5 into 50 mL olive oil sealed in each of two brands of 10 cm × 10 cm poly(ethylene terephthalate) roasting bag was evaluated under two sets of conditions that approached but remained below the limit at which the bag material became physically deformed – heating for 7 min at 850 W in a microwave oven, or for 60 min at 200 °C in a conventional oven. Total migration was approximately 2.7 mg dm–2 under the former conditions and 3.5–4.1 mg dm–2 under the latter.Presented at the International Symposium on Separation and Characteristics of Natural and Synthetic Macromolecules, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, February 5–7, 2003  相似文献

A reliable and sensitive method for determination of MCPA in soil by derivatization through p-toluenesulfonic acid and 1,3-dichloro-2-propanol followed by gas chromatographic detection under ECD mode has been established. After treatment with hydrochloric acid, the soil samples were directly extracted without any clean-up with dichloromethane by vortexing. After derivatization and liquid–liquid extraction, the product was subjected to GC analysis. Under optimized conditions, recovery of MCPA reached 87–91%; intra- and inter-day precision values were recorded in the range 3.4–6.4% and 7.4–8.7%, respectively. Excellent linear relationship was observed within 0.1–10 μg mL?1 (0.005–0.5 mg kg?1) with linear correlation coefficient (R) of 0.9997. The LOD and LOQ were 0.001 and 0.0026 mg kg?1, respectively, and the overall sensitivity for detection was found to be in the same range as with the conventional GC-MS technique.  相似文献

A rapid, effective and sensitive method to quantitatively determine six fungicide residue was developed using ultra-performance liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC–MS/MS). The target compounds were extracted by using acetonitrile and the sorbent used for clean-up in this modified QuEChERS analytical method were biochar, multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) and graphitized carbon black (GCB). Results indicated that the MWCNT (10 mg) was the most effective sorbent in removing pigment. This method was validated on spinach, tomato, cucumber, celery, lettuce, rape, pakchoi, romaine lettuce and eggplant matrices spiked at three concentration levels of 0.01, 0.1 and 1 mg kg?1. It exhibited recoveries between 73.1% and 118.2% with RSD values below 20%. Matrix-matched calibrations were performed with the coefficients of determination >0.9901 between concentration levels of 0.01–1 mg kg?1. The limit of quantity (LOQ) for six pesticides ranged from 0.0036 to 0.011 mg kg?1. The developed method was satisfactorily applied to determine pesticide residues in market vegetable samples.  相似文献

A new sensitive multiresidue liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) analytical method for the determination of 16 insect growth regulator (IGR) residues—RH-5849 (1,2-dibenzoyl-1-tert-butylhydrazine), halofenozide, methoxyfenozide, chromafenozide, fufenozide, tebufenozide, diflubenzuron, chlorbenzuron, triflumuron, hexaflumuron, novaluron, lufenuron, teflubenzuron, flucycloxuron, flufenoxuron, and chlorfluazuron—in herbs (Perilla frutescens, flos chrysanthemi, lily bulbs, and ginger) has been developed. After the herbs had been extracted with acetonitrile, a combined graphitized nonporous carbon/aminopropyl (ENVI-Carb/LC-NH2) cartridge and a Florisil cartridge were used to clean up the extracts. LC-MS/MS was performed in multiple reaction monitoring mode with two specific precursor ion–product ion transitions per IGR to confirm and quantitate the residues in herbs. Quantitation was performed on the basis of matrix-matched calibrations. The method showed excellent linearity (r 2 > 0.99) and precision (relative standard deviations of 13.6 or lower) for all the target insecticides. The limits of quantitation were 0.6-10 μg kg-1 for the 16 insecticides in the four herbs. The average recoveries, measured at three concentrations (0.01, 0.1, 1 mg kg-1), were in the range 74.8-105.3%. The method was satisfactorily applied for the analysis of 60 herb samples (Perilla frutescens, flos chrysanthemi, lily bulbs, and ginger). Hexaflumuron was detected at concentrations of 0.029 and 0.051 mg kg-1 in Perilla frutescens.  相似文献

The composition of polyester polyols derived from terephthalic acid (TPA) and diethylene glycol (DEG) was examined. The synthesis of individual oligomers 1 , n is described. The compounds were characterized with 1H and 13C NMR, mass spectrometry, and elemental analyses. The resonance signals arising from aromatic protons in 1 , n = 1–3 were identified in 1H NMR spectra of TPA‐DEG condensates. From 1H NMR studies and chromatographic separation, it was concluded that the condensation of TPA and DEG in a 1:2 molar ratio results in a mixture of linear oligomers 1 with the average ñ varying from 1.1 to 2.2, and containing about 2% of cyclic oligomer 2 . © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A rapid and simple multi-residue procedure is described for assaying eleven quinolones (cinoxacin, ciprofloxacin, danofloxacin, difloxacin, enrofloxacin, flumequine, marbofloxacin, nalidixic acid, norfloxacin, oxolinic acid and sarafloxacin) in feeds at sub-additive levels (1–5 mg kg−1). Five grams of sample were extracted by a metaphosphoric acid/acetonitrile mixture (70/30, v/v) and purified onto OASIS HLB cartridges. The determination was achieved by liquid chromatography (LC) using a GEMINI C18 analytical column both with fluorescence detection (FD) and photodiode-array (DAD). Limits of detection for each drug were in the range 0.04–0.8 mg kg−1. Above the limit of quantification (LOQ), in poultry feed the recoveries were from 69 to 98% with relative standard deviations less than or equal 10%. Finally the measurement uncertainty was estimated using the bottom-up approach.  相似文献

Comparison of the fluorescence intensity caused by the accumulation of PpIX in endometrial cancer xenografts in nude mice after low‐dose 5‐Aminolevulinic acid (ALA) injection combined with siRNA transfection was mediated by ultrasound microbubbles and polyethyleneimine (PEI) to explore the feasibility of the ultrasound microbubble technique as transfection agents. Knockdown of ferrochelatase (FECH) in human endometrial cancer xenografts in nude mice was performed by transfection with FECH‐siRNA mediated by PEI and ultrasound microbubbles alone or in combination; then, low‐dose ALA was injected. Subsequently, an in vivo animal imaging system was employed to detect the fluorescence intensity in xenografts. Red fluorescence was observed in xenografts given more than 6.25 mg kg?1 of ALA. When the dose of ALA was greater than 50 mg kg?1, there was a significant difference in the fluorescence between tumor and other tissues. After the nude mice were transfected with siRNA and treated with low‐dose ALA (1.0 mg kg?1), apparent PpIX fluorescence of the xenografts was observed, and the fluorescence intensity was PEI+ ultrasound microbubbles > PEI > ultrasound microbubbles. Ultrasound microbubbles in combination with PEI could generate a higher fluorescence intensity of PpIX than that obtained with ultrasound microbubbles or PEI alone, and ultrasound microbubbles could wholly or partially replace PEI under certain conditions.  相似文献

This study reports the first analytical application of luminol chemiluminescence reaction for the sensitive detection of two benzoylurea insecticides (diflubenzuron and triflumuron). Off-line experiments demonstrated that previously irradiated traces of these benzoylurea insecticides largely enhanced the chemiluminescence emission yielded from the oxidation of luminol in methanol:water mixtures, by potassium permanganate in alkaline medium, the enhancement being proportional to the concentration of both pesticides. The two benzoylureas were determined in tomato samples by coupling liquid chromatography with post-column photoderivatization and detection based on this chemiluminescence reaction. Tomato samples were extracted using the QuEChERS method based on extraction with acetonitrile and dispersive solid-phase clean-up using primary and secondary amine (PSA). Interferences due to matrix effect were overcome by using matrix-matched standards. The optimised method was validated with respect to linearity, limits of detection and quantification, precision and accuracy. Under the optimised conditions, calibrations graphs were linear between 0.05 and 0.50 μg mL−1 for diflubenzuron and between 0.10 and 1.00 μg mL−1 for triflumuron. Method detection limits were 0.0025 and 0.0131 μg mL−1 (equivalent to 0.0005 and 0.0026 mg kg−1) and quantification limits were 0.05 and 0.10 μg mL−1 (equivalent to 0.01 and 0.02 mg kg−1) for diflubenzuron and triflumuron, respectively. In both cases, quantification limits were lower than the maximum residue levels (MRLs) established by the European legislation. The relative standard deviation of intra-day precision was below 10% and recoveries were between 79.7% and 94.2% for both pesticides.  相似文献

The suitability of gas chromatography with pulsed flame-photometric detection (GC–PFPD) for determination of 24 organophosphorus (OP) pesticides in vegetables has been assessed. Pesticides were extracted with dichloromethane and analyzed without cleanup. The performance of the method was fit for purpose; recovery was between 73 and 110% and precision was better than 15%. Calculated lower limits of detection were typically <0.01 mg kg?1, much lower than the maximum residue levels stipulated by European legislation. Three pesticides were detected in vegetable samples. Their presence was confirmed by GC with tandem mass spectrometric detection (GC–MS–MS).  相似文献

Enrichment techniques have become an important feature in the trace analysis of oestrogen mimicking chemicals in the environment. Recent developments such as accelerated solvent extraction (ASE) have improved extraction recoveries in a wide variety of solid matrices including sediments, sludges and leachate soils. Such samples taken from the Irish Midlands Shannon Catchment region during the winter of 2004/5 and suspected to contain certain xenooestrogens or hormonally active agents were extracted using this technique, which was then coupled with high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) for quantification purposes. ASE was thus employed to both isolate and pre-concentrate targeted analytes using the minimum amount of solvent hence making extractions more conservational. Two simple, yet extremely sensitive liquid chromatographic methods were developed based on UV detection; one for phthalates and one for alkylphenols, with recoveries reaching up to 92.0%. Acid digestion was used for the extraction of the tin and organotin compounds with analysis by polarography. In river sediment, levels of up to 24.4 mg kg−1 phthalate, 1.14 mg kg−1 4-nonylphenol and 118 mg kg−1 tin were found. In leachate sediments, values up to 49.8 mg kg−1 phthalate, 1.57 mg kg−1 4-nonylphenol, and 36.0 mg kg−1 tin were determined. In sludge, values up to 174 mg kg−1 phthalate and 22.8 mg kg−1 4-nonylphenol were quantified. The highest value of tin (118 mg kg−1) was found present in an area of high leisure craft activity. Typical sediment levels of tin at other river locations ranged between 1.20 and 37.5 mg kg−1.  相似文献

In the present work, Mn‐doped CuO‐NPs‐AC was prepared by a simple method, characterized using various techniques such as FESEM, EDX, XRD, PSD, and pHpzc and finally used for the adsorption of malachite green (MG) and methyl orange (MO) in a number of single and binary solutions. A series of adsorption experiments were conducted to investigate and optimize the influence of various factors (such as different pH, concentration of MG and MO, adsorbent mass, and sonication time) on the simultaneous adsorption of MG and MO using response surface methodology. Under optimal conditions of pH 10, adsorbent dose of 0.02 g, MG concentration of 30 mg L?1, MO concentration of 30 mg L?1, and sonication time of 4.5 min at room temperature, the maximum predicted adsorption was observed to be 100.0%, for both MG and MO, showing that there is a favorable harmony between the experimental data and model predictions. The adsorption isotherm of MO and MG by Mn‐doped CuO‐NPs‐AC could be well clarified by the Langmuir model with maximum adsorption capacity of 320.69 mg g?1 and 290.11 mg g?1 in the single solution and 233.02 mg g?1 and 205.53 mg g?1 in the binary solution by 0.005 g of adsorbent mass for MG and MO, respectively. Kinetic studies also revealed that both MG and MO adsorption were better defined by the pseudo‐second order model for both solutions. In addition, the thermodynamic constant studies disclosed that the adsorption of MG and MO was likely to be influenced by a physisorption mechanism. Eventually, the reusability of the Mn‐doped CuO‐NPs‐AC after six times showed a reduction in the adsorption percentage of MG and MO.  相似文献

A novel simple, fast and efficient ultra-high performance supercritical fluid chromatography (UHPSFC) method was developed and validated for the separation and quantitative determination of eleven illegal dyes in chili-containing spices. The method involved a simple ultrasound-assisted liquid extraction of illegal compounds with tetrahydrofuran. The separation was performed using a supercritical fluid chromatography system and CSH Fluoro-Phenyl stationary phase at 70 °C. The mobile phase was carbon dioxide and the mixture of methanol:acetonitrile (1:1, v/v) with 2.5% formic acid as an additive at the flow rate 2.0 mL min−1. The UV–vis detection was accomplished at 500 nm for seven compounds and at 420 nm for Sudan Orange G, Butter Yellow, Fast Garnet GBC and Methyl Red due to their maximum of absorbance. All eleven compounds were separated in less than 5 min. The method was successfully validated and applied using three commercial samples of chili-containing spices – Chili sauce (Indonesia), Feferony sauce (Slovakia) and Mojo sauce (Spain). The linearity range of proposed method was 0.50–9.09 mg kg−1 (r ≥ 0.995). The detection limits were determined as signal to noise ratio of 3 and were ranged from 0.15 mg kg−1 to 0.60 mg kg−1 (1.80 mg kg−1 for Fast Garnet) for standard solution and from 0.25 mg kg−1 to 1.00 mg kg−1 (2.50 mg kg−1 for Fast Garnet, 1.50 mg kg−1 for Sudan Red 7B) for chili-containing samples. The recovery values were in the range of 73.5–107.2% and relative standard deviation ranging from 0.1% to 8.2% for within-day precision and from 0.5% to 8.8% for between-day precision. The method showed potential for being used to monitor forbidden dyes in food constituents. The developed UHPSFC method was compared to the UHPLC-UV method. The orthogonality of Sudan dyes separation by these two methods was demonstrated. Benefits and drawbacks were discussed showing the reliability of both methods for monitoring of studied illegal dyes in real food constituents.  相似文献

Cyclic oligomers of poly(1,4‐cyclohexylenedimethylene terephthalate) (PCT) were prepared by reaction of 1,4‐cyclohexanedimethanol (CHDM) with terephthaloyl chloride under diluted conditions and separated from the linear products by silica gel column at a yield of 23.7 wt %. Cyclic dimer, trimer, tetramer, pentamer, and hexamer were further separated by high performance liquid chromatography, and found to constitute 98% of the cyclics mixtures. The structures of PCT cyclics were confirmed by means of mass spectrometry, Fourier transform infrared, and 1H NMR analysis. A series of experiments were carried out to study the effects of catalysts and cis/trans configuration of isomers of CHDM on the yield of cyclic oligomers. Ring opening polymerization of the cyclic oligomers was carried out by heating the sample mixtures at 310 °C for 30 min in the presence of antimony oxide. Polymerization was confirmed by inherent viscosity changes and infrared spectra of the resulting polyesters. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. J Polym Sci A: Polym Chem 38: 1828–1833, 2000  相似文献
