The Babar Collaboration announced two new excited charmed baryons Ξc(3055)+ and Ξc(3123)+. We study their strong decays assuming they are D-wave states. Some assignments are excluded by comparing our numerical results with the experimental values of the total widths of Ξc(3055)+ and Ξc(3123)+. In this article,we study the ground states and the first radial excited states of the flavor antitriplet heavy baryon states ∧Q and ΞQ with the spin-parity JP=1/2+ by carrying out operator product expansion up to vacuum condensates of dimension 10 in a consistent way.We observe for the first time that the higher dimensional vacuum condensates play an important role,and obtain very stable QCD sum rules with variations of the Borel parameters for the heavy baryon states.The predicted masses 6.08±0.09 GeV,2.78±0.08 GeV,and 2.96±0.09 GeV for the first radial excited states ∧b(2 S),∧c(2 S),and Ξc(2 S),respectively,are in excellent agreement with the experimental data and support assigning ∧b(6072),∧c(2765),and Ξc(2980/2970) to be the first radial excited states of ∧b,∧c,and Ξc,respectively.The predicted mass 6.24±0.07 GeV for Ξb(2 S) can be confirmed using experimental data in the future.  相似文献

In this work,the strong decay behaviors of the λ-mode low-lying Ξ_b and Ξ'_b baryons are investigated within the ~3 P_0 model.Our results suggest that all of the low-lying 3_F states Ξ_b(2 S),Ξ_b(1 P),and Ξ_b(1 D) have small decay widths of less than 20 MeV,and these states have good potentials to be observed in the Ξ'_bπ and Ξ'_b~*π invariant masses.Further,most of the 6_F multiplets are relatively narrow and may decay into the Ξ_bπ,Ξ'_bπ,Ξ'_b~*π,and Δ_bK final states.Considering the masses and strong decay behaviors,we can assign the newly observed Ξ_b(6100) resonance as the Ξ_b(1 P) state with J~P=3/2~-and interpret the Ξ_b(6227)structure as the J~P=3/2~-Ξ'_b(1 P) state with a proper mixing angle.We expect that our predictions for these excited bottom strange baryons will provide helpful information for future experimental research.  相似文献

The difference of τB and τAb indicates the role of the light flavors,We calculate the lifetinmes of B-meson and Λb based on the weak effective Hamiltonian while assuming the heavy baryon is constructed by a heavy b-quark and a diquark containing two light quarks.In this scenario,we use the information of the measured ratio τΛb/τB as input to predict rates of the inclusive weak decays of ∑b^(*) and Ξb^(*) into non-bottom final states.We find that these rates of ∑b^(*) and Ξb^(*) are much larger than those of B-mesons and Λb,We also give the predictions for the lifetimes of Ωb and Ω,Pheomenological implication of our result is discussed.  相似文献

We calculate the inclusive decay rates of ηb into charmonium via double cc pairs for S- and P-wave states ηc, J/ψ and χcJ within the framework of non-relativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization at leading order in αs. Besides calculating the contributions of the color-singlet channels ηb→c(c)[2S+1Sl(1)]+c(c), the effects of c(c) pair in the color-octet configurations are also considered. We find that ηb→c(c)[3S1(8)]+c(c) make a small contribution to Br(ηb→J/ψ(ηc)+c(c)). While in ther ηb→χcJ+c(c) case, the color octet contributions are significant, for they are of the same αs4vc5 order as the color-singlet processes. We predict Br(ηb → J/ψ(ηc)+c(c)) = 2.99(2.75) × 10-5 for S-vrave states J/ψ and ηc, and Br(ηb→χcJ +c(c))= (4.37,3.40,2.83)×10-5 (for J = 0,1,2) for P-wave states χcJ. In the end, we also find Br(ηb → c(c)c(c)) is almost saturated by ηb decay into charmonium in association with cc pair from the point of view of duality.  相似文献

We studied the electromagnetic form factors(EMFFs) of Λ_c and the contributions of the quark and diquark currents to the EMFFs of Λ_c in the space-like region in the Bethe–Salpeter equation approach with instantaneous approximation. In this picture, baryon Λ_c can be regarded as a two-body c(ud) system. We found that for different values of parameters the contribution of quark and diquark currents to the EMFFs of Λ_c is very different,while their total contribution to the EMFFs of Λ_c is similar. The EMFFs of Λ_c are similar to those of other baryons(proton, Ξ~-, and Σ~+) with a peak at ω = 1, where ω = v′·v is the velocity transfer between the initial state(with velocity v) and the final state(with velocity v′) of Λ_c.  相似文献

Inspired by the recent observation of the Ξ_c~+_c~+)by the LHCb Collaboration, we explore the "decay constants" of doubly heavy baryons in the framework of QCD sum rules. With the Ξ_cc),Ξ_(bc),Ξ_(bb), and ?_(cc),?_(bc),?_(bb) baryons interpolated by three-quark operators, we calculate the correlation functions using the operator product expansion and include the contributions from operators up to dimension six. On the hadron side, we consider both contributions from the lowest-lying states with JP=1/2~+ and from negative parity baryons with JP=1/2~-. We find that the results are stable and the contaminations from negative parity baryons are not severe. These results are ingredients for the QCD study of weak decays and other properties of doubly-heavy baryons.  相似文献

A search for the doubly charmed baryon Ξ_(cc)~+ is performed through its decay to the Λ_c~+K~-π~+ final state, using proton-proton collision data collected with the LHCb detector at centre-of-mass energies of 7, 8 and 13 Te V. The data correspond to a total integrated luminosity of 9 fb~(-1). No significant signal is observed in the mass range from 3.4 to 3.8 Ge V/c~2. Upper limits are set at 95% credibility level on the ratio of the Ξ_(cc)~+ production cross-section times the branching fraction to that of Λ_c~+ and Ξ_(cc)~(++) baryons. The limits are determined as functions of the Ξ_(cc)~+ mass for different lifetime hypotheses, in the rapidity range from 2.0 to 4.5 and the transverse momentum range from 4 to 15 GeV/c.  相似文献

We propose to measure the decay asymmetry parameters in the hadronic weak decays of singly charmed baryons, such as Λ_c~+ →Λπ~+, Σ~0π~+, pK_0, Ξ0c →Ξ-π+and ?0c →?-π+. The joint angular formulae for these processes are presented, and are used to extract the asymmetry parameters in e+e-annihilation data. Base on the currentΛ+c data set collected at BESIII, we estimate the experimental sensitivities to measure the parameters αΛπ+forΛ+c →Λπ+, αΣ+π0for Λ+c →Σ+π0and αΣ0π+for Λ+c →Σ0π+.  相似文献

Last year,the Ξ(1620) state,which is cataloged in the Particle Data Group(PDG) with only one star,was reported again in the Ξ~-π~+final state by the Belle Collaboration.Its properties,such as the spectroscopy and decay width,cannot be simply explained in the context of conventional constituent quark models.This inspires an active discussion on the structure of this resonance.In this paper,we study the radiative decays of the newly observed Ξ(1620) assuming that it is a meson-baryon molecular state of AK and with spin-parity J~P=1/2~-developed in our previous study.The partial decay widths of the AK-ΣK molecular state into Ξγ and Ξπγ final states through hadronic loops are evaluated using effective Lagrangians.The partial widths for Ξ(1620)~0→γΞ is evaluated to be approximately 118.76-174.21 keV,which may be accessible for the LHCb experiment.If Ξ(1620) is aΛK-∑K molecule,the radiative transition strength Ξ(1620)~0→γKA is considerably small and the decay width is of the order of 0.01 eV.Future experimental measurements of these processes can be useful to test the molecule interpretations of the Ξ(1620).  相似文献

Last year two exotic and narrow baryons, θ^ (1540) and Ξ3/2^--(1862), which are pentaquark states have been reported by several group. Their minimal quark content are uudds and ddssu, respectively. The θ^ (1540) baryon was observed in few independent experiments. Its hypercharge, Y=2. The exotic baryon is an isosinglet. The Ξ3/2^--(1862) baryon was also observed in the Ξ^-π^- invariant mass spectrum in proton-proton scattering at the CERN SPS . The existence of doubly heavy flavor baryons has not been well established experimentally so far. In this Letter we systematically investigate the weak decays of the doubly charmed baryons, Ξ~(++)_(cc)and Ξ~+_(cc), which should be helpful for experimental searches for these particles. The long-distance contributions are first studied in the doubly heavy baryon decays, and found to be significantly enhanced. Comparing all the processes, Ξ~(++)_(cc)→Λ~+_cK~-π~+π~+andΞ~+_cπ~+ are the most favorable decay modes for experiments to search for doubly heavy baryons.  相似文献

Using the one-boson-exchange model, we investigate the Λ_c_s~*, Σ_c_s~*, Σ_c~*_s~*, Ξ_c~*, Ξ'_c~*, and Ξ_c~*~* interactions by considering the one-eta-exchange and/or one-pion-exchange contributions. We further predict the existence of hidden-charm molecular pentaquarks. Promising candidates for hidden-charm molecular pentaquarks include a Ξ'_c~* state with 0((1/2)~-) and the Ξ_c~*~* states with 0(1/2)~-) and 0((3/2)~-). Experimental searches for these predicted hidden-charm molecular pentaquarks are an interesting future research topic for experiments like LHCb.  相似文献

Using the vector exchange interaction in the local hidden gauge approach,which in the light quark sector generates the chiral Lagrangians and has produced realistic results for ?_c,Ξ_c,Ξ_b and the hidden charm pentaquark states,we study the meson-baryon interactions in the coupled channels that lead to the Ξ_(bb) and ?_(bbb) excited states of the molecular type.We obtain seven states of the Ξ_(bb) type with energies between 10408 and 10869 MeV,and one ?_(bbb) state at 15212 MeV.  相似文献

The production of Ξ_(cc)~(++) baryons in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of s~(1/2)=13 TeV is measured in the transverse-momentum range 4 pT15 GeV/c and the rapidity range 2.0 y4.5.The data used in this measurement correspond to an integrated luminosity of 1.7 fb~(-1),recorded by the LHCb experiment during2016.The ratio of the Ξ_(cc)~(++) production cross-section times the branching fraction of the Ξ_(cc)~(++)→Λ_c~+K~-π~+π~+ decay relative to the prompt Λ_c~+production cross-section is found to be(2.22±0.27±0.29)×10~(-4),assuming the central value of the measured Ξ_(cc)~(++) lifetime,where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic.  相似文献

We in terms of optical theorem estimate the lifetime of Bc meson with the parameters which are determined by fitting the data for the lifetimes and inclusive semileptonic decays of various B and D mesons.In the estimation,we find that the bound-state effects are important,and take them into account carefully in the framework which attributes the effects to the effective masses of the decay heavy quarks in the inclusive processes.We also find that to c liftime the peguin contribution is enhanced due to possible interference between peguin and the tree part c1O1 c2O2,.  相似文献
