A double nucleophilic substitution reaction of 3,5-bis(chloromethyl)pyrazole with pyrroles generates a novel pyrrole-pyrazole hybrid building block, the pyrazole analogue to tripyrrane. Vilsmeier-Haack formylation produces the corresponding dialdehyde, which was used in the formation of a series of nonaromatic Schiff base macrocycles. NMR and UV/Vis spectroscopy and single-crystal diffractometry were used to characterize the novel macrocycles. The solid-state structures of select free bases and protonated members of this class of macrocycles display a range of intra- and intermolecular hydrogen-bonding patterns that suggest their use in molecular-recognition systems. They also contain an acid-sensitive chromophore. Their acid-base and anion-recognition properties were ascertained; alas, only modest anion-selective spectroscopic signatures could be detected by using UV/Vis and (1)H NMR spectroscopy. The macrocycles proved resistant toward oxidation to their aromatic congeners. The pyrrole-pyrazole building blocks presented are potentially useful for the synthesis of a range of pyrazole analogues of all-pyrrole macrocycles.  相似文献

Macrocyclization of the bendable 2,7-dimethoxythianthrene with methylene linkages afforded a pair of homochiral macrocycles featuring a hex-nut-like geometry. Their structures were fully characterized by NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Their stable planar chirality facilitates efficient resolution of the pair of enantiomers which could be readily derivatized. Installing phenylethynyl groups on their rims leads to luminescent tubular macrocycles exhibiting circularly polarized luminescence with a large dissymmetry value |glum| of 5×10−3. Supramolecular binding of electron-deficient guests by the tube results in fluorescence quenching, which proved its potential for the future development of switchable chiroptical systems.  相似文献

The synthesis, structure, and physical properties of macrocycles have fascinated chemists for many years. Their inherent properties make them useful in areas as diverse as ion transport across membranes, development of new antibiotics, and catalysis. In this Review, the authors examine the chemistry of macrocycles containing non-peptidic amino acid derived molecules; the analysis is discussed in terms of function, rather than structure or synthesis. It is revealed that the diverse and imaginative structures created by synthetic chemists are not being fully exploited in application-driven endeavors.  相似文献

以4,4'-联吡啶鎓、 2,6-萘二酚和2,7-萘二酚为基本结构单元, 设计合成了2种带有分子内给受体相互作用的大环化合物, 并采用紫外光谱和核磁共振等手段研究了其与葫芦[8]脲的键合行为. 研究结果表明, 在水溶液中大环的2,6-萘二酚和2,7-萘二酚与4,4'-联吡啶鎓之间存在分子内的电荷转移相互作用, 而葫芦[8]脲可以键合这2种大环化合物, 导致电荷转移吸收峰增强并红移, 表明葫芦[8]脲能增强这种分子内的电荷转移相互作用, 形成稳定的环套环分子组装体. 这种结构是基于葫芦[8]脲的新型拓扑结构.  相似文献

meso-Tetraaryl-2,3-dihydroxychlorins (1) were converted in one step to the novel free base macrocycles meso-tetraaryl-2,3-dialkoxy-2a-oxa-2a-homoporphyrins (morpholinochlorins, 3). Their bathochromically shifted chlorin-type UV-vis spectra indicate the presence of a nonplanar chromophore. The structure of meso-tetratolyldiethoxymorpholinochlorin (3b), as determined by X-ray crystallography, was found to be largely planar, suggesting significant conformational flexibility of these macrocycles. Self-assembled monolayers of shape-persistent macrocycles have been adsorbed on highly oriented pyrolytic graphite and Au(111) substrates. Their structure and binding characteristics have been investigated by scanning tunneling microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy experiments. Special functionalization of the macrocycles for the first time has enabled their self-assembling and binding on a metal substrate and opened a new route for new functional nanostructures.  相似文献

Distorting linear polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) out of planarity affects their physical properties and breaks their symmetry to induce inherent chirality. However, the chirality cannot be achieved in large distorted PAHs-based macrocycles due to a low racemization barrier for isomerization. Herein, we report the precise synthesis and tuning size-dependent (chir)optical properties of a new class of chiral PAHs-containing conjugated macrocycles (cyclo[n]paraphenylene-2,6-anthrylene, [n]CPPAn2,6 ; n=6–8). Their inherent chiralities were squeezed out in small anthrylene-based macrocycles. Efficient resolutions for chiral enantiomers with (P)/(M)-helicity of small [6-7]CPPAn s were achieved by HPLC. Interestingly, these macrocycles showed enriched size-dependent physical, chiral, and (chir)optical properties. Theoretical calculations indicate that these macrocycles have high strain energy (Estrain=60.8 to 73.4 kcal/mol) and very small Egap (∼3.0 eV). Notably, these enantiomers showed strong chiroptical properties and dissymmetry factors (|gabs| and |glum|∼0.01 for an enantiomer of [6]CPPAn2,6 ), which can give them potential applications in optically active materials.  相似文献

在硫酸催化作用下,用前体二醛1[1,3-二(2'-甲酰苯氧基)丙烷]和前体二胺2[N,N'-(2-胺基苯基)-2,6-二甲酰亚胺吡啶]合成了[1+1]席夫碱大环化合物3,进一步还原得到饱和大环4。 用1H NMR、IR、元素分析和质谱等技术手段对大环3和4的组成进行了表征。 采用X射线衍射仪测定了大环3 和4的晶体结构。 用UV-Vis光谱仪对大环3和4与系列阴离子的作用分别进行了考察,结果表明,饱和大环4仅对F-有明显的选择性作用,并测定了该配位反应的配位比和平衡常数,进一步考察了大环3和4对甲醇的吸附性能。  相似文献

Angle-strained alkyne-containing π-conjugated macrocycles are attractive compounds both in functional materials chemistry and biochemistry. Their interesting reactivity as well as photophysical and supramolecular properties have been revealed in the past three decades. This review highlights the recent advances in angle-strained alkyne-containing π-conjugated macrocycles, especially their synthetic methods, the bond angles of alkynes (∠sp at C≡C−C), and their functions. The theoretical and experimental research on cyclo[n]carbons and para-cyclophynes consisting of ethynylenes and para-phenylenes are mainly summarized. Related macrocycles bearing other linkers, such as ortho-phenylenes, meta-phenylenes, heteroaromatics, biphenyls, extended aromatics, are also overviewed. Bond angles of strained alkynes in π-conjugated macrocycles, which are generable, detectable, and isolable, are summarized at the end of this review.  相似文献

Synthesis of mono- and bis(1,1′-bi-2-naphthocrown)ethers containing bis(2,6-methylene)anisyl subunit in the crown ring were developed. These chiral macrocycles are suitable precursors to introduce a chromogenic function, as exemplified by two novel crowned azophenol chromoionophores. Their coloration process induced by various achiral and chiral amines was studied by UV–vis spectrophotometry.  相似文献

Two new C2 symmetric macrocycles, soluble in water, were prepared according to the one‐step procedure using azacrown ethers and azidosaccharides. Their complexes with p‐toluenesulfonamide were studied by proton NMR spectroscopy. Water-soluble and thermoresponsive macrocycles with stable inclusion toward guests are highly valuable to construct stimuli-responsive supramolecular materials for versatile applications. Here, we develop such macrocycles – ureido-substituted cyclodextrins (CDs) which exhibit unprecedented upper critical solution temperature (UCST) behavior in aqueous media. These novel CD derivatives showed good solubility in water at elevated temperature, but collapsed from water to form large coacervates upon cooling to low temperature. Their cloud points are greatly dependent on concentration and can be mediated through oxidation and chelation with silver ions. Significantly, the amphiphilicity of these CD derivatives is supportive to host-guest binding, which affords them inclusion abilities to guest dyes. The inclusion complexation remained nearly intact during thermally induced phase transitions, which is in contrast to the switchable inclusion behavior of lower critical solution temperature (LCST)-type CDs. Moreover, ureido-substituted CDs were exploited to co-encapsulate a pair of guest dyes whose fluorescence resonance energy transfer process can be switched by the UCST phase transition. We therefore believe these novel thermoresponsive CDs may form a new strategy for developing smart macrocycles and allow for exploring smart supramolecular materials.  相似文献

Being inspired by naturally occurring peptidic macrocycles, we developed liquid-crystalline (LC) compounds 1 and 2 that are capable of self-assembling into hexagonal columnar mesophases over a wide temperature range that includes room temperature. Their bowl-shaped macrocyclic cores are conformationally robust because of the presence of internal H-bonds, while the columnar assembly is ensured by intermolecular H-bonding interactions involving the exocyclic amide units. When an electric field was applied to their LC films from a direction orthogonal to the film plane, the columns were oriented homeotropically over a large area.  相似文献

Novel hybrid cyclo[m]pyridine[n]pyrroles have been synthesized using Suzuki coupling. Their NMR and optical spectroscopic features and solid state structural parameters provide support for the proposal that these species are best described as locally aromatic compounds devoid of long-range intersubunit conjugation. However, an extension of the π-conjugation in the macrocycles can be realized through protonation, as inferred from optical spectroscopic and X-ray diffraction-based structural studies.  相似文献

New thianthrene based macrocycles with basket shaped structures were prepared by thermal treatment of tetrakis-(N,N′-dimethylthiocarbamoyl)-tetra-tert-butyl-thiacalix[4]arene. Their structural characterization as well as the study of the formation mechanisms are presented in this article. Macrocycle engineering is a key topic in supramolecular chemistry. When synthesizing a ring, one can obtain either complex mixtures of macrocycles of different sizes or a single ring if a template is utilized. Here, we unite these approaches along with post-synthetic modifications to transform a single tether into multiple rings—up to five per tether. The macrocycles contain two bridged phenylpyridine ligands that are connected through a Pt atom, which defines the rings’ shape, size, and host activity. All rings undergo redox reactions (between PtII and PtIV) that allow for large conformational changes. Their reactivity, together with their host performance, is a convenient way to control the capture and release of guests, to mediate ring transformations, and to control pseudorotaxane-to-pseudorotaxane conversions. This novel approach could serve to assemble other libraries of small ring molecules, create cyclic polymers bridged by responsive-at-metal nodes, and produce processable mechanically interlocked molecules.  相似文献

A series of new N4 and N8 macrocycles has been prepared, that includes cis-exogenous O2, S2 and S/O atoms to allow chelation to a metal external to the macrocyclic ring. We found that thioamide units within the macrocycles were unstable to attack by secondary amines and thus alkylated precursors containing only tertiary amines could lead to exogenous-S2 macrocycles. Cyclisation of alkylated tetraamine precursors with dimethyloxalate or dithiooxamide led to both N4 and N8 macrocycles via 1 + 1 and 2 + 2 cyclisation reactions with exogenous-O2 or S2 respectively. Alkylation of preformed exogenous-O2 macrocycles was explored and led to alkyl substitution at the secondary amine nitrogens in the ring, however synthesis of these species was overall lower yielding than cyclisation using alkylated tetraamine precursors. Thionation of an exo-O2 macrocycle using an analogue of Lawesson's Reagent led to formation of the analogous exogenous-S2 and exogenous-O,S macrocycles. Related S2N2 macrocycles with exogenous-O2 were prepared by a cyclisation route but could not be isolated free of larger ring analogues.  相似文献

This paper describes the synthesis of two series of rigid macrocycles from hydrogen bonding-induced folded aryl amide and hydrazone oligomers that bear two amines or one amine and one aldehyde. The diamines reacted with diacyl chloride to produce amide macrocycles, whereas the latter underwent self-coupling reactions to afford imine macrocycles. DFT calculations revealed that the new macrocycles possess rigid planar conformations and their cavity diameters were estimated to be 1.86 nm–2.75 nm.  相似文献
