The travelling wave (TW) disk-loaded accelerating structure is one of the key components in normal conducting (NC) linear accelerators, and has been studied for many years. In the design process, usually after the dimensions of each cell and the two couplers are finalized, the structure is fabricated and tuned, and then the whole structure RF characteristics are measured by using a vector network analyzer. Before fabrication, the whole structure characteristics (including RF, thermal and structural ones) are less simulated due to the limited capability of currently available computers. In this paper, we described a method for performing RF-thermal-structural-RF coupled analysis on a TW disk-loaded structure using only one PC. In order to validate our method, we first analyzed and compared our RF simulation results on the 3 m long BEPCⅡ structure with the corresponding experimental results, which shows very good consistency. Finally, the RF-thermal-structure-RF coupled analysis results on the 1.35 m long NSC KIPT linac accelerating structure are presented.  相似文献

The required accelerating gradient in the ILC project is over 30 MeV/m [1]. For current technology, the maximum accelerating gradient in superconducting (SC) structures is limited mainly by the value of the surface RF magnetic field. In order to increase the gradient, the RF magnetic field is distributed homogeneously over the cavity surface (low-loss structure), and coupling to the beam is improved by introducing aperture and cell shape (re-entrant structure). These features allow gradients in excess of 56 MeV/m to be obtained for a single-cell cavity. Further improvement of the coupling to the beam may be achieved by using a traveling wave (TW) SC structure with small phase advance per cell. Calculations show that an additional gradient increase by up to 46% is possible if a π/2 TW SC structure is used. However, a TW SC structure requires a SC feedback waveguide to return the few GW of circulating RF power from the structure output back to the structure input. We discuss variants of the superconducting traveling wave ring (STWR) with one and two feeding couplers. The text was submitted by the authors in English.  相似文献

采用多导体传输线分析方法, 对同轴交错圆盘加载波导慢波结构进行了理论分析, 得到了这种慢波结构的色散方程; 利用该色散方程, 得到的色散特性与HFSS仿真软件模拟结果符合良好. 分析了结构参数的变化对同轴交错圆盘加载波导慢波结构的色散特性影响. 结果表明: 增加内径和减小慢波结构的单位周期长度可以拓展慢波结构的带宽. 对同轴圆盘加载波导和同轴交错圆盘加载波导两种慢波结构的色散特性进行了比较, 结果表明: 采用圆盘交错加载方式可以减弱色散, 拓展带宽. 研究结果对同轴交错圆盘加载波导在毫米波行波管中的应用具有指导意义. 关键词: 行波管 同轴交错圆盘加载波导 慢波结构 色散特性  相似文献

The disk-loaded waveguide with bandwidth of only 2%-8% is a kind of narrow band structure. A new rib-loaded disk-loaded waveguide with wider bandwidth than the general one is suggested in the paper. The author develops the method of calculating the axial periodic waveguide by expanding the slow-wave structure's boundary function in Fourier series, so that it can be adopted in rib-loaded disk-loaded waveguide. By the method, the dispersion characteristics and interaction impedance of a Ka band rib-loaded disk-loaded waveguide are analyzed.  相似文献

Hybrid聚束-加速结构是把驻波预聚束器、行波聚束器和标准加速管集成到一起的新型RF结构。简述了对S波段Hybrid聚束-加速结构样机的束流动力学优化和微波设计结果,解释了Hybrid结构导致发射度增长的原因,对此样机进行了射频低功率测试。样机的冷测结果与RF设计结果一致性很好。在冷测频率2 855.21 MHz处,实测S11小于?45 dB,腔间相移偏差小于±2°,VSWR≤1.2对应的带宽大于5 MHz,轴向场分布完全满足动力学要求。  相似文献

 分别采用有限元算法软件(HFSS)和有限积分法软件(MAFIA)对相对论行波管盘荷波导慢波结构进行建模,求出了相应的色散曲线。在此基础上设计了可用于相对论行波管的一种宽带和一种窄带的盘荷波导结构。加工了它们的冷测模型,测试曲线和模拟曲线吻合很好,从而验证了这两种软件尽管计算方法不同,但都可以对行波管慢波结构本征值问题进行求解。  相似文献

Rigorous Analysis of the Disk-Loaded Waveguide Slow-Wave Structures   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Recently disk-loaded waveguide has been widely used in high-power traveling wave tubes (HPTWT). Although TM 01 mode is it's main mode, the asymmetry mode may be excited by slight asymmetry of the structure, misalignment of the beam, or the asymmetry associated with the input or output structure. So research about asymmetry mode of disk-loaded waveguide is necessary. The general dispersion equation and interaction impedance expression of disk-loaded waveguide is obtained with accurate field theory for the first time. Based on these results, a broadband and a narrowband disk-loaded waveguides are designed which can be used in the Ka band HPTWT. Moreover, the theoretical calculated results are compared with the simulated results from the HFSS (High Frequency Structure Simulator) code using finite element method. It is found that frequency domain overlapped by these two modes of the narrowband structure is very narrow, so the HEM 11 mode may be ignored when calculating Beam-wave interaction. In the other hand, the interaction impedance of HEM 11 mode is very low generally.  相似文献

In this paper, a new current expression based on both the direct currect(DC) characteristics of the AlGaN/GaN high election mobility transistor(HEMT) and the hyperbolic tangent function tanh is proposed, by which we can describe the kink effect of the AlGaN/GaN HEMT well. Then, an improved EEHEMT model including the proposed current expression is presented. The simulated and measured results of I–V, S-parameter, and radio frequency(RF) large-signal characteristics are compared for a self-developed on-wafer AlGaN/GaN HEMT with ten gate fingers each being 0.4-μm long and 125-μm wide(Such an AlGaN/GaN HEMT is denoted as AlGaN/GaN HEMT(10 × 125 μm)). The improved large signal model simulates the I–V characteristic much more accurately than the original one, and its transconductance and RF characteristics are also in excellent agreement with the measured data.  相似文献

In order to overcome the disadvantages of conventional high frequency relativistic klystron amplifiers in power capability and RF conversion efficiency, a C-band relativistic extended interaction klystron amplifier with coaxial output cavity is designed with the aid of PIC code MAGIC. In the device, disk-loaded cavities are introduced in the input and intermediate cavity to increase the beam modulation depth, and a coaxial disk-loaded cavity is employed in the output cavity to enhance the RF conversion efficiency. In PIC simulation, when the beam voltage is680 k V and current is 4 k A, the device can generate 1.11 GW output power at 5.64 GHz with an efficiency of 40.8%.  相似文献

提出了一种基于串联双微环谐振器的新型聚酰亚胺(Polyimide,PI)湿度传感器,采用传输矩阵法和耦合模的理论计算微环谐振器的传递函数,并对比了传统单微环与串联不同半径的双微环的输出光谱特性。外界湿度变化使得聚酰亚胺SOI波导吸收水汽后折射率发生变化,从而引起微环输出光谱发生漂移,通过探测光谱漂移量来测湿度值,得到了串联双微环传感器的灵敏度和测量范围,并且分析了感湿部位不同时谐振器输出光谱特性。理论结果表明:串联不同半径的微环谐振器的自由光谱范围(FSR)要比单微环有所提高,而且串联双微环谐振器整体感湿比单个微环单独感湿的传感性能更优良,可作为最佳的湿敏元件。与传统的单微环传感器相比,串联不同半径的微环结构可提高系统的测量范围和灵敏度,半径为30和50 μm的串联微环谐振器的FSR可达到0.15 μm,传感器测量湿度范围为10%RH~80%RH,灵敏度可达到0.001 7 μm·(%RH)-1。因此串联不同半径的双微环谐振器为制备成本低、结构简单、高灵敏度、可集成的微型湿度传感器件提供一定理论基础。  相似文献

An imaging interferometer with two long gradient-index (GRIN) lenses and a charge coupled device (CCD) sensor array is proposed and studied for application to an optical coherence tomography system that can observe the subsurface structure of internal organs through a small hole in the body. An image of lines 11 μm wide was obtained using the phase-shifting method and a test pattern as a sample. The lateral resolution obtained was 22 μm. The axial resolution was also measured and found to be 19.4 μm by measuring the coherence function. The dynamic range was about 60 dB, based on the RF spectrum of the beat signal. A sectional image of a 10-yen Japanese coin was measured as a rough surface sample.  相似文献

提出了一种由新型沟槽耦合器和90°弯曲波导构成的InGaAsP/InP基矩形马赫-曾德电光调制器,对该调制器的L型波导相移臂设计了T型类微带行波电极.首先利用电极的等效电路估算带宽上限,进而在考虑阻抗匹配、回波损耗以及带宽等性能的基础上,使用有限元方法对电极的传输、输入/输出以及过渡区的结构参量进行优化.仿真结果表明由于受到电极输入及过渡区的性能限制,设计的整体行波电极匹配阻抗大于42Ω,回波损耗小于-15dB,带宽可达65GHz.测试制备的Ti/Au行波电极,得到回波损耗为-12dB和带宽为20GHz的最优性能.  相似文献

We reported dynamics of Josephson vortices interacting with electromagnetic waves in strongly coupled long Josephson junctions stack, such as an intrinsic Josephson junction (IJJ), by numerical simulations based on coupled sine-Gordon equations considering a periodic pinning potential of sinusoidal form. The numerical simulation results for the influence of the electromagnetic waves on flux-flow properties show that the periodic pinning potential induces an in-phase motion of Josephson vortices over the junction stacks, which achieve high performances of IJJ flux-flow oscillator. In order to prove it from another viewpoint, we calculate RF impedance of long Josephson junction stacks in flux-flow state. A remarkable negative real part region of RF impedance appears at 1st harmonic step, it means that the long Josephson junction stacks in flux-flow state acts as an oscillator at the negative real part region. In this study, we evaluate the optimum condition for RF radiation with the periodic pinning potential.  相似文献

The characteristics of radio-frequency (RF) plasma sheaths have been topics of much scientific study for decades, and have also been of great importance in the manufacture of integrated circuits and fabricating microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), as well as in the study of physical phenomena in dusty plasmas. The sheaths behave special properties under various situations where they can be treated as collisionless or collisional, single-or dual-RF, one-or two-dimensional (1D or 2D) sheaths, etc. This paper reviews our recent progress on the dynamics of RF plasma sheaths using a fluid method that includes the fluid equations and Poission’s equation coupled with an equivalent circuit model and a hybrid method in which the fluid model is combined with the Monte-Carlo (MC) method. The structures of RF sheaths behave differently in various situations and plasma parameters such as the ion density, electron temperature, as well as the external parameters such as the applied frequency, power, gas pressure, magnetic field, are crucial for determining the characteristics of plasma sheaths.  相似文献

鉴于时延信息严重威胁着混沌通信的保密性,提出了一种利用频谱仪直接确定激光器时延信息的新方法。通过记录和观察信号的频谱,发现其频谱受到了时延信息的调制;进一步对频谱作逆傅里叶变换,即可直接获取光反馈混沌激光器的时延信息。实验中对腔长L=11.02 m的单反馈和腔长近似相等(L1=11.02 m, L2=11.25 m)或腔长成整数比(L1=11.02 m, L2=22.03 m) 的双反馈情形进行了研究。分析结果表明:在两外腔长度近似相等的情况下,2个外腔长度信息不能被隐藏;当反馈外腔长度成整数比时可以从频谱中提取出半导体激光器的反馈延迟时间。  相似文献
