The decay rates for the exclusiveB decaysBK c andBK* c are calculated in the context of the heavy quark effective theory. We obtain(BK c )/ (BK)=1.6±0.2 and(BK* c )/ (K*)=0.39±0.04. These results lead to estimates BR(BK c )=(0.11±0.02)% and BR(BK* c )=(0.05±0.01)% if we use the central current experimental values forB(K, K *) branching ratios.  相似文献

The half-lives of seven levels in105Mo have been determined with high precision at the fission-product separator Josef. The-- triple coincidence method with plastic and BaF2 scintillators was used for a determination of the time between the q feeding of a level of interest and its depopulation. A value of q =0.38 (1) for the deformation parameter has been deduced from the half-lives of the first and second excited states. The results of Particle-Rotor model-calculations with the Nilsson parameters=0.084 and=0.28 support the assignment of the Nilsson orbital [532] 5/2 to the ground state of105Mo.The authors acknowledge with pleasure fruitful discussions with Profs. A mini transmission-ray Compton polarimeter was developed for the measurement of the sign of magnetic moments of radioactive nuclei with low-temperature nuclear orientation. We analyzeK decays in the framework of Chiral Perturbation Theory. We study the different Dalitz plot distributions, trying to find regions whereo(p 6) contributions could be more easily detected. On the basis of the approximate vanishing of the singlet axial charge of the nucleon, it is argued that 1 should decouple from all hadrons constructed out of the constituentu, d ors quarks in theU(3) L ×U(3) R chiral limit for largeN c . The mathematical relationship between the orientational order parameters and the coherent neutron scattering cross section for a nematic liquid crystal is given. For deuterated para-azoxyanisole the single-molecule part of the cross section is evaluated within the meanfield approximation and combined with experimental results to give information about molecular orientational order in terms of P 2, P 4 and P 6. Both P 2 and P 4 are found necessary for describing the molecular order. Discrepancies between experimental and theoretical results are interpreted as possibly reflecting the inadequacy of the meanfield theory of Maier and Saupe.  相似文献

Nuclear matrix elements for double positron emisson ( + +), positron emission/electron capture ( +/ EC) and double electron capture (EC/EC) in the 2 decay mode and for + + and +/EC decay in the 0 mode are calculated for the experimentally most promising isotopes58Ni,78Kr,96Ru,106Cd,124Xe,130Ba and136Ce within pn-QRPA. We point out that the matrix element for the 2 +/EC decay differs from the 2 + + matrix element, an effect not considered previously. For the neutrino accompanied decays our calculation predicts for the +/EC and the EC/EC mode half lives which are shorter typically by 4–7 orders of magnitude than those for the double positron emission. However, even for the best candidates typical values for 2 +/EC (2 EC/EC) are still in the range of 1022 ((some) 1021) years. For 0 decay we have calculated all matrix elements relevant for both, the mass mechanism and the right-handed currents for the first time complete. A detailed discussion of the differences between the 0 ++, the 0 +/EC and 0 decay is given.This work is supported in part by a Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (05243204) from the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture. Antiproton annihilation at rest in gaseous hydrogen (16 bar pressure) to the final states (770)X andf 2(1270)X, whereX stands for one or more neutral mesons, has been studied at LEAR using the CPLEAR detector. Relative branching ratios are given forX = 0,2 0, 3 0 in the case, and forX = 0, in thef 2 case. The annihilation channel has not been measured before. The fraction of P-wave annihilation is deduced from the ratiof 2 0/ 0 to be 0.38±0.07, in good agreement with the result previously obtained by CPLEAR from the ratioK + K -/ + -.  相似文献

High spin states in the nucleus156Ho have been studied via the fusion-evaporation reaction140Ce(19F,3n)156Ho at the beam energy of 82 MeV.- coincidences, E, I and excitation functions have been measured. With two rotationally-aligned bands identified as [h11/2] [i13/2], we found two new bands with a signature splitting, whose structure is believed to arise from either [h9/2] or [f7/2] coupled to [h11/2]. Our placement of rays belonging to these new bands suggests that the previously known level scheme should be corrected. We also found many new low-energy rays in the low excitation energy. As compared to154Ho, the present nucleus with two more neutrons becomes more collective, and shows well-observed rotationally-aligned bands with a clear signature splitting.Communicated by B. We calculate the hadronic coupling constantsg NN andg in QCD, including dynamical quarks in the framework of staggered fermions in the lattice approach. For the nucleon-pion coupling we obtaing NN =13.8±5.8, to be compared with the experimental value 13.13±0.07 [1]. The coupling has been analysed for two different sets of operators with the averaged resultg =4.2±1.9 which is to be compared with the experimental value 6.06±0.01 [2].  相似文献

The probabilities of KL,S l+l decays are calculated by considering only the dominant two-lepton channel KL,S * * l+l. The transitions K0 X, where X=0,, or (700) dominating in the KL,S * *decay amplitudes, are described by the effective weak Lagrangian. The matrix elements of four-quark operators are calculated within the framework of the quark model of superconductivity type. It is shown that the leading contribution to matrix elements of K0 X transitions comes from the penguin operator matrix elements.  相似文献

The total photofission cross section ,F for235U and238U has been measured in the energy range 50E 800 MeV at the 855 MeV Mainz Microtron MAMI using energy and time tagged photons (Glasgow Tagger) and a 4 arrangement of position sensitive fragment detectors. Besides the absolute photofission cross section F , which almost completely exhausts the total photon absorption cross section for these nuclei, fragment mass distributions in this energy domain were determined via time of flight techniques (TOF). The results for the total photofission cross sections ,F normalized to the atomic numberA for both isotopes coincide, and agree in the-resonance region, within the systematic errors, with the socalledUniversal Curve ,T /A of the total photon absorption cross section ,T . At higher energies the cross sections exhibit a smooth behaviour. In particular, it is shown for the first time that there isno resonance-like shape near the D13 resonance (at 710 MeV) as observed for the free proton. This complete suppression of the D13 resonance in complex nuclei is not yet understood on a microscopic level. The fragment mass distributions show a predominantly mass symmetric fission. The systematics of-decay modes and radiative widths of highly excited states in28Si has been extended by taking-ray spectra on 60 resonances of the27Al(p,) reaction in the range 1097 keVE p 4492 keV (12643 keVE x 15915 keV) and on the24Mg(,) resonances atE =3355, 3431, 4003 keV (E x =12860, 12925, 13 415 keV). The-decay modes of levels in the sub-resonance region (E x =10–12.5 MeV) were studied with both the27 A1(p, ) reaction and the27 A1(d, n) reaction at Ed=4,5,6 MeV. Information on radiative widths of levels was obtained by measuring the resonance strengthsS =(2I+1) p / for 52 resonances of the27Al(p, ) reaction with an emphasis on prospective T=1 states.  相似文献
