Real hypersurfaces with constant totally real sectional curvature in a complex space form

We characterize real hypersurfaces with constant holomorphic sectional curvature of a non flat complex space form as the ones which have constant totally real sectional curvature.     

Real hypersurfaces foliated by totally real totally geodesic submanifolds

We bridge between submanifold geometry and curve theory. In the first half of this paper we classify real hypersurfaces in a complex projective plane and a complex hyperbolic plane all of whose integral curves γ of the characteristic vector field are totally real circles of the same curvature which is independent of the choice of γ in these planes. In the latter half, we construct real hypersurfaces which are foliated by totally real (Lagrangian) totally geodesic submanifolds in a complex hyperbolic plane, which provide one of the examples obtained in the classification.     

复空间形式中常数量曲率的完备全实伪脐子流形

设CNnc是具有常全纯截面曲率c(≤O)的复n维的复空间形式,Mn是CNnc中常数量曲率的完备全实伪脐子流形,R,‖h‖2分别表示Mn的标准数量曲率和第二基本形式模长的平方.假设R≥c/4.利用丘成桐的广义极大值原理和自伴随算子研究了关于‖h‖2的pinching问题,得到了两个Mn成为全测地或全脐的刚性定理.     

Real hypersurfaces in complex space forms concerned with the local symmetry

This paper consists of two parts. In the first, we find some geometric conditions derived from the local symmetry of the inverse image by the Hopf fibration of a real hypersurface M in complex space form M _m(4ε). In the second, we give a complete classification of real hypersurfaces in M _m(4ε) which satisfy the above geometric facts. We prove the non-existence of Levi flat compact real hypersurfaces without boundary in , with non-negative totally real Ricci curvature.

Some geometrical properties of Hopf hypersurfaces of Kähler manifolds are introduced and a special attention is given to the case of hypersurfaces in complex projective spaces.

On the scalar curvature of constant mean curvature hypersurfaces in space forms

In this paper we study the behavior of the scalar curvature S of a complete hypersurface immersed with constant mean curvature into a Riemannian space form of constant curvature, deriving a sharp estimate for the infimum of S. Our results will be an application of a weak Omori-Yau maximum principle due to Pigola, Rigoli, Setti (2005) [17].     

Semi-parallel real hypersurfaces in complex two-plane Grassmannians

We prove that there does not exist any semi-parallel real hypersurface in complex two-plane Grassmannians. With this result, the nonexistence of recurrent real hypersurfaces in complex two-plane Grassmannians can also be proved.     

Integral curves of characteristic vector fields of real hypersurfaces in nonflat complex space forms

In this paper, we study real hypersurfaces all of whose integral curves of characteristic vector fields are plane curves in a nonflat complex space form.      

Complete rotation hypersurfaces with Hk constant in space forms

In this paper we classify all complete rotation hypersurfaces withH _k constant in ⁿ⁺¹ andH ⁿ⁺¹, is the normalizedk-th symmetric function of the principal curvatures. Characterization of totally umbilic hypersurfaces in a space form by circles

In this paper we characterize totally umbilic hypersurfaces in a space form by a property of the extrinsic shape of circles on hypersurfaces. Real hypersurfaces with constant principal curvatures in complex space forms

We present the motivation and current state of the classification problem of real hypersurfaces with constant principal curvatures in complex space forms. In particular, we explain the classification result of real hypersurfaces with constant principal curvatures in nonflat complex space forms and whose Hopf vector field has nontrivial projection onto two eigenspaces of the shape operator. This constitutes the following natural step after Kimura and Berndt?s classifications of Hopf real hypersurfaces with constant principal curvatures in complex space forms.     

Some remarks on embedded hypersurfaces in hyperbolic space of constant curvature and spherical boundary

We consider embedded hypersurfacesM in hyperbolic space with compact boundaryC and somer ^th mean curvature functionH _r a positive constant. We investigate when symmetries ofC are symmetries ofM. We prove that if 0H _r1 andC is a sphere thenM is a part of an equidistant sphere. Forr=1 (H ₁ is the mean curvature) we obtain results whenC is convex.
