Titanium dioxide (TiO2) thin films doping of various iron ion (Fe3+) concentrations were deposited on silicon (Si) (100) and quartz substrates by sol-gel Spin Coating technique followed by a thermal treatment at 600 °C. The structure, surface morphology and optical properties, as a function of the doping, have been studied by X-ray diffractometer (XRD), Raman, ultraviolet-visible (UV-vis) and Spectroscopic Ellipsometry (SE). XRD and Raman analyzes of our thin films show that the crystalline phase of TiO2 thin films comprised only the anatase TiO2, but the crystallinity decreased when the Fe3+ content increased from 0% to 20%. During the Fe3+ addition to 20%, the phase of TiO2 thin film still maintained the amorphous state. The grain size calculated from XRD patterns varies from 29.3 to 22.6 nm. The complex index and the optical band gap (Eg) of the films were determined by the spectroscopic ellipsometry analysis. We have found that the optical band gap decreased with an increasing Fe3+ content.  相似文献

Fe3+-doped TiO2 film deposited on fly ash cenosphere (Fe-TiO2/FAC) was successfully synthesized by the sol-gel method. These fresh photocatalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and thermogravimetric analyses (TGA). The XRD results showed that Fe element can maintain metastable anatase phase of TiO2, and effect of temperature showed rutile phase appears in 650 °C for 0.01% Fe-TiO2/FAC. The SEM analysis revealed the Fe-TiO2 films on the surface of a fly ash cenosphere with a thickness of 2 μm. The absorption threshold of Fe-TiO2/FACs shifted to a longer wavelength compared to the photocatalyst without Fe3+-doping in the UV-vis absorption spectra. The photocatalytic activity and kinetics of Fe-TiO2/FAC with varying the iron content and the calcination temperatures were investigated by measuring the photodegradation of methyl blue (MB) during visible light irradiation. Compared with TiO2/FAC and Fe3+-doped TiO2 powder (Fe-TiO2), the degradation ratio using Fe-TiO2/FAC increased by 33% and 30%, respectively, and the best calcined temperature was 450 °C and the optimum doping of Fe/Ti molar ratio was 0.01%. The Fe-TiO2/FAC particles can float in water due to the low density of FAC in favor of phase separation to recover these photocatalyst after the reaction, and the recovery test shows that calcination contributes to regaining photocatalytic activity of Fe-TiO2/FAC photocatalyst.  相似文献

0.7BiFeO3-0.3PbTiO3 (BFPT7030) thin films were deposited on SiO2/Si substrates by sol-gel process. The influence of heating rate on the crystalline properties of BFPT7030 thin films were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). XRD patterns of the films showed that a pure perovskite phase exists in BFPT7030 films annealed by rapid thermal annealing (RTA) technique. SEM and AFM observations demonstrated that the BFPT7030 films annealed by RTA at 700 °C for 90 s with the heating rate of 1 °C s−1 could show a dense, crack-free surface morphology, and the films’ grains grow better than those of the films annealed by RTA at the same temperature with other heating rates. XPS results of the films indicated that the ratio of Fe3+:Fe2+ is about 21:10 and 9:5 for the films annealed by RTA at 700 °C for 90 s with the heating rate of 1 and 20 °C s−1, respectively. That means the higher the heating rate, the higher the concentration of Fe2+ in the BFPT7030 thin films.  相似文献

Atmospheric pressure chemical vapor deposition (APCVD) of TiO2 thin films has been achieved onto glass and onto ITO-coated glass substrates, from the reaction of TiCl4 with ethyl acetate (EtOAc). The effect of the synthesis temperature on the optical, structural and electrochemical properties was studied through spectral transmittance, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements. It was established that the TiO2 films deposited onto glass substrate, at temperatures greater than 400 °C grown with rutile type tetragonal structure, whereas the TiO2 films deposited onto ITO-coated glass substrate grown with anatase type structure. EIS was applied as suitable method to determine the charge transfer resistance in the electrolyte/TiO2 interface, typically found in dye-sensitized solar cells.  相似文献

Indium tin oxide (ITO) and titanium dioxide (TiO2) single layer and double layer ITO/TiO2 films were prepared using reactive pulsed laser ablation deposition (RPLAD) with an ArF excimer laser. The films were deposited on SiO2 substrates heated at 200 and 400 °C. ITO and TiO2 films with uniform thicknesses of about 400 and 800 nm, respectively, over large areas were prepared. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis revealed that the ITO films are formed of highly orientated nanocrystals with an average particle size of 10-15 nm. Atomic force microscopy (AFM) observations indicate rough ITO films surfaces with average roughness of 26-30 nm. Pores were also observed. TiO2 films deposited on the prepared ITO films result less crystalline. Annealing at 300 and 500 °C for three consecutive hours promoted formation of TiO2 anatase phase, with crystal size of ∼6-7 nm. From the scanning transmission electron microscope (STEM) images, it can be seen that the TiO2 films deposited onto the prepared ITO films present a relatively high pore sizes with an average pore diameter of ∼40 nm and excellent uniformity. In addition, STEM cross-sectional analysis of our films showed a columnar structure but no evidence of voids in the structure. Therefore, films exhibited large surface area, well suited for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC) applications.  相似文献

In this work, structural investigations of TiO2 thin films doped with Tb at the amount of 0.4, 2 and 2.6 at.% have been outlined. Thin films were deposited on Si and SiO2 substrates by high energy reactive magnetron sputtering from mosaic Ti-Tb target. The influence of Tb dopant amount, post-annealing treatment and kind of applied substrate on microstructure has been discussed. Thin films were investigated by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). XRD analysis revealed the existence of crystalline TiO2 in anatase and rutile forms, depending on Tb amount in examined samples. AFM images show that as-deposited samples with 0.4 at.% concentration of terbium (anatase structure) have bigger crystallites as compared to 2% and 2.6 at.% of Tb (rutile structure). The additional annealing at 1070 K results in a mixed anatase (77%) and rutile (23%) structure.  相似文献

Indium tin oxide (ITO) and titanium dioxide (TiO2) single layer and double layer ITO/TiO2 films were prepared using reactive pulsed laser ablation deposition (RPLAD) with an ArF excimer laser for applications in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). The films were deposited on SiO2 substrates either at room temperatures (RT) or heated to 200-400 °C. Under optimized conditions, transmission of ITO films in the visible (vis) range was above 89% for films produced at RT and 93% for the ones deposited at higher temperatures. Increasing the substrate temperature from RT to 400 °C enhances the transmission of TiO2 films in the vis-NIR from about 70% to 92%. High transmission (≈90%) was observed for the double layer ITO/TiO2 with a transmission cut-off above 900 nm. From the transmission data, the energies gaps (Eg), as well as the refractive indexes (n) for the films were estimated. n ≈ 2.03 and 2.04, respectively for ITO films and TiO2 film deposited at 400 °C in the visible region. Post-annealing of the TiO2 films for 3 h at 300 and 500 °C was performed to enhance n. The refractive index of the TiO2 films increases with the post-annealing temperature. The direct band gap is 3.6, 3.74 and 3.82 eV for ITO films deposited at RT, 200, and 400 °C, respectively. The TiO2 films present a direct band gap of 3.51 and 3.37 eV for as deposited TiO2 films and when annealed at 400 °C, respectively. There is a shift of about 0.1 eV between ITO and ITO/TiO2 films deposited at 200 °C. The shift decreases by half when the TiO2 film was deposited at 400 °C. Post-annealing was also performed on double layer ITO/TiO2.  相似文献

Silver nanorods with average diameters of 120-230 nm and aspect ratio of 1.7-5.0 were deposited on the surface of TiO2 films by photoelectrochemical reduction of Ag+ to Ag under UV light. The composite films prepared on soda-lime glass substrates were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). The results show that the TiO2 film after UV irradiation in AgNO3 solution is composed of anatase phase TiO2 and metallic silver with face centered cubic structure. Other compounds cannot be found in the final films. The maximum deposition content of silver particles on the surface of TiO2 film was obtained with the AgNO3 concentration of 0.1 M. The kinetic growth rates of silver particles can be controlled by photocatalytic activity of TiO2 films. The studies suggest that the growth rates of silver particles increase with the enhancement of photocatalytic activity of TiO2 films. The maximum growth rate of silver particles loaded on TiO2 films can be up to 0.353 nm min−1 among samples 1#, 2# and 3#, while the corresponding apparent rate constant of TiO2 is 1.751 × 10−3 min−1.  相似文献

Titanium dioxide photocatalysts co-doped with iron (III) and lanthanum were prepared by a facile sol-gel method. The structure of catalysts was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy, UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The photocatalytic activities of the samples were evaluated by the degradation of methylene blue in aqueous solutions under visible light (λ > 420 nm) and UV light irradiation. Doping with Fe3+ results in a lower anatase to rutile (A-R) phase transformation temperature for TiO2 particles, while doping with La3+ inhibits the A-R phase transformation, and co-doping samples indicate that Fe3+ partly counteracts the effect of La3+ on the A-R transformation property of TiO2. Fe-TiO2 has a long tail extending up the absorption edges to 600 nm, whereas La-TiO2 results in a red shift of the absorption. However, Fe and La have synergistic effect in the absorption of TiO2. Compared with Fe3+ and La3+ singly doped TiO2, the co-doped simple exhibits excellent visible light and UV light activity and the synergistic effect of Fe3+ and La3+ is responsible for improving the photocatalytic activity.  相似文献

The nano-structured Fe(III)-doped TiO2 photocatalysts with anatase phase have been developed for the oxidation of non-biodegradable different organic dyes like methyl orange (MO), rhodamine B (RB), thymol blue (TB) and bromocresol green (BG) using UV-Hg-lamp. The different compositions of FexTi1−xO2 (x = 0.005, 0.01, 0.05, and 0.1) nanocatalysts synthesized by chemical method (CM), have been characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectra, specific surface area (BET), transmission electronic microscopy (TEM) analysis, XPS, ESR and zeta potential. From XRD analysis, the results indicate that all the compositions of Fe(III) doped in TiO2 catalysts gives only anatase phase not rutile phase. For complete degradation of all the solutions of the dyes (MO, RB, TB, and BG), the composition with x = 0.005 is more photoactive compared all other compositions of FexTi1−xO2, and degussa P25. The decolorization rate of different dyes decreases as Fe(III) concentration in TiO2 increases. The energy band gap of Fe(III)-doped TiO2 is found to be 2.38 eV. The oxidation state of iron has been found to be 3+ from XPS and ESR show that Fe3+ is in low spin state.  相似文献

The nano-TiO2 electrode with a p-n homojunction device was designed and fabricated by coating of the Fe3+-doped TiO2 (p-type) film on top of the nano-TiO2 (n-type) film. These films were prepared from synthesized sol-gel TiO2 samples which were verified as anatase with nano-size particles. The semiconductor characteristics of the p-type and n-type films were demonstrated by current-voltage (I-V) measurements. Results show that the rectifying curves of undoped TiO2 and Fe3+-doped TiO2 sample films were observed from the I-V data illustration for both the n-type and p-type films. In addition, the shapes of the rectifying curves were influenced by the fabrication conditions of the sample films, such as the doping concentration of the metal ions, and thermal treatments. Moreover, the p-n homojunction films heating at different temperatures were produced and analyzed by the I-V measurements. From the I-V data analysis, the rectifying current of this p-n junction diode has a 10 mA order higher than the current of the n-type film. The p-n homojunction TiO2 electrode demonstrated greater performance of electronic properties than the n-type TiO2 electrode.  相似文献

The evolution of the crystal, the microstructural and the optical properties of pulsed-laser deposited TiO2 films, investigated by X-ray diffraction, atomic force microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, optical transmittance and m-line spectroscopy measurements are reported. The samples were grown on (0 0 1) SiO2 substrates at temperatures from 250 to 600 °C and oxygen pressures from 1 to 15 Pa. Crystalline films consisting of single anatase or anatase and rutile phases, were obtained at temperatures higher than 400 °C. A tendency toward columnar-like growth morphology was observed in the samples. Strong dependence of the optical properties on the surface roughness and the microstructure was determined. All films revealed single-mode waveguiding and optically anisotropic properties.  相似文献

Iron oxide thin films were prepared by spray pyrolysis technique onto glass substrates from iron chloride solution. They were characterized by X-ray diffractometry (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and (UV-vis) spectroscopy. The films deposited at Ts ≤ 450 °C were amorphous; while those produced at Tsub = 500 °C were polycrystalline α-Fe2O3 with a preferential orientation along the (1 0 4) direction. By observing scanning electron microscopy (SEM), it was seen that iron oxide films were relatively homogeneous uniform and had a good adherence to the glass substrates. The grain size was found (by RX) between 19 and 25 nm. The composition of these films was examined by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and electron probe microanalysis (EPMA). These films exhibited also a transmittance value about 80% in the visible and infrared range. The cyclic voltammetry study showed that the films of Fe2O3 deposited on ITO pre-coated glass substrates were capable of charge insertion/extraction when immersed in an electrolyte of propylene carbonate (PC) with 0.5 M LiCLO4.  相似文献

TiO2/Fe2O3 core-shell nanocomposition film has been fabricated via two-step method. TiO2 nanorod arrays are synthesized by a facile hydrothermal method, and followed by Fe2O3 nanoparticles deposited on TiO2 nanorod arrays through an ordinary chemical bath deposition. The phase structures, morphologies, particle size, chemical compositions of the composites have been characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM) and ultraviolet-visible (UV-vis) spectrophotometer. The results confirm that Fe2O3 nanoparticles of mean size ca. 10 nm coated on the surface of TiO2 NRs. After depositing Fe2O3, UV-vis absorption property is induces the shift to the visible-light range, the annealing temperature of 600 °C is the best condition for UV-vis absorption property of TiO2/Fe2O3 nanocomposite film, and increasing Fe content, optical activity are enhanced one by one. The photoelectrochemical (PEC) performances of the as-prepared composite nanorods are determined by measuring the photo-generated currents under illumination of UV-vis light. The TiO2 NRs modified by Fe2O3 show the photocurrent value of 1.36 mA/cm2 at 0 V vs Ag/AgCl, which is higher than those of unmodified TiO2 NRs.  相似文献

The variation of the oxygen content, xO, of synthetic fayalite (Fe2SiO4) single crystals was investigated thermogravimetrically at 1130 °C as a function of the oxygen activity, aO2 (= PO2/PO2° ≈ fO2/fO2° with PO2° ≈ fO2° = 1 bar ≈ 1 atm). It was found that xO varies less in fayalite single crystals than in polycrystalline Fe2SiO4 studied earlier. The majority defects are most likely cation vacancies, (VMe2+)″, ferric ions on M-sites, (Fe3+Me2+), and ferric ions on Si-sites, (Fe3+Si4+)′. Furthermore, the diffusion of iron in synthetic olivine single crystals ((FexMg1 − x)2SiO4) was studied at 1130 °C as a function of orientation, oxygen activity, and cationic composition. The observed oxygen activity dependencies suggest that cations move via different types of cation vacancies, most likely isolated vacancies, (VFe2+)″, and possibly neutral associates, {2(Fe3+Me2+) ⋅ (VMe2+)′ ? ′}x, the latter being minority defects. In addition, the electrical conductivity, σ, of fayalite single crystals was investigated as a function of orientation and oxygen activity within the stability field of fayalite at 1130 °C. The observed oxygen activity dependencies are compatible with (VMe2+)′ ? ′, (Fe3+Me2+), and (Fe3+Si4+)′ being the majority point defects at high aO2 and with h and e′ as the majority defects at low aO2. The electrical conduction in fayalite is governed by contributions of electrons and holes. This extended point defect model for fayalite is also compatible with data for the variation of the oxygen content and for the iron tracer diffusion.  相似文献

(Na0.85K0.15)0.5Bi0.5TiO3 thin films were deposited on LaNiO3(LNO)/SiO2/Si(1 0 0) and Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si(1 0 0) substrates by metal-organic decomposition, and the effects of bottom electrodes LNO and Pt on the ferroelectric, dielectric and piezoelectric properties were investigated by ferroelectric tester, impedance analyzer and scanning probe microscopy, respectively. For the thin films deposited on LNO and Pt electrodes, the remnant polarization 2Pr are about 22.6 and 8.8 μC/cm2 under 375 kV/cm, the dielectric constants 238 and 579 at 10 kHz, the dielectric losses 0.06 and 0.30 at 10 kHz, the statistic d33eff values 95 and 81 pm/V. The improved piezoelectric properties could make (Na1−xKx)0.5Bi0.5TiO3 thin film as a promising candidate for piezoelectric thin film devices.  相似文献

Porous TiO2 films were deposited on SiO2 pre-coated glass-slides by sol-gel method using octadecylamine (ODA) as template. The amount of ODA in the sol played an important role on the physicochemical properties and photocatalytic performance of the TiO2 films. The films prepared at different conditions were all composed of anatase titanium dioxide crystals, and TiO2 crystalline size got larger with increasing ODA amount. The maximum specific surface area of 41.5 m2/g was obtained for TiO2 powders prepared from titanium sol containing 2.0 g ODA. Methyl orange degradation rate was enhanced along with increasing ODA amount and reached the maximal value at 2.0 g addition of ODA. After 40 min of UV-light irradiation, methyl orange degradation rate reached 30.5% on the porous film, which was about 10% higher than that on the smooth film. Porous TiO2 film showed almost constant activity with slight decrease from 30.5% to 28.5% after 4 times of recycles.  相似文献

The influence of substrate temperature on structural and dielectric properties of cubic pyrochlore Bi1.5Zn1.0Nb1.5O7 (BZN) thin films prepared by pulsed laser deposition process has been investigated. BZN thin films were deposited on Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si(1 0 0) substrate and in situ annealed at 700 °C. The results indicate that the substrate temperature has a significant effect on the structural and dielectric properties of BZN thin films. The films exhibit a cubic pyrochlore structure in the substrate temperature range from 550 °C to 700 °C and at the annealing temperature of 700 °C. With further increase of substrate temperature to 750 °C, the phases of Bi2O3, BiNbO4 and Bi5Nb3O15 can be detected in the XRD pattern due to the Zn loss. The dielectric constant and loss tangent of the films deposited at 650 °C are 192 and 6 × 10−4 at 10 kHz, respectively. The tunability is 10% at a dc bias field of 0.9 MV/cm.  相似文献

Aluminum doped zinc oxide (AZO) films were substitutes of the SnO2:F films on soda lime glass substrate in the amorphous thin-film solar cells due to good properties and low cost. In order to improve properties of AZO films, the TiO2 buffer layer had been introduced. AZO films with and without TiO2 buffer layer were deposited on soda lime glass substrates by r.f. magnetron sputtering. Subsequently, one group samples were annealed in vacuum (0.1 Pa) at 500 °C for 120 s using the RTA system, and the influence of TiO2 thickness on the properties of AZO films had been discussed. The XRD measurement results showed that all the films had a preferentially oriented (0 0 2) peak, and the intensity of (0 0 2) peak had been enhanced for the AZO films with TiO2 buffer layer. The resistivity of TiO2 (3.0 nm)/AZO double-layer film is 4.76×10−4 Ω cm with the maximum figure merit of 1.92×10−2 Ω−1, and the resistivity has a remarkable 28.7% decrease comparing with that of the single AZO film. The carrier scattering mechanism of TiO2 (3.0 nm)/AZO double-layer film had been described by Hall measurement in different temperatures. The average transmittance of all the films exceeded 92% in the visible spectrum. Another group samples were heat treated in the quartz tube in air atmosphere, and the effect of TiO2 thickness on thermal stability of AZO films had been discussed.  相似文献

SiO2@Gd2MoO6:Eu3+ core-shell phosphors were prepared by the sol-gel process. X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectra (EDS), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), photoluminescence (PL) spectra as well as kinetic decays were used to characterize the resulting SiO2@Gd2MoO6:Eu3+ core-shell phosphors. The XRD results demonstrate that the Gd2MoO6:Eu3+ layers on the SiO2 spheres begin to crystallize after annealing at 600 °C and the crystallinity increases with raising the annealing temperature. The obtained core-shell phosphors have a near perfect spherical shape with narrow size distribution (average size ca. 600 nm), are not agglomerated, and have a smooth surface. The thickness of the Gd2MoO6:Eu3+ shells on the SiO2 cores could be easily tailored by varying the number of deposition cycles (50 nm for four deposition cycles). The Eu3+ shows a strong PL luminescence (dominated by 5D0-7F2 red emission at 613 nm) under the excitation of 307 nm UV light. The PL intensity of Eu3+ increases with increasing the annealing temperature and the number of coating cycles.  相似文献
