Optical header recognition is one key function that enables ultrafast optical routing in photonic packet-switched networks. Especially, optical header recognition based on optical correlation processing has attracted much attention. Header signals using optical codes are decoded using optical correlation processing. We improve the decoding method for Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK) header signals in order to suppress crosstalk caused by matched filtering in the header recognition unit. We design a header recognition filter using the technique of a multiple-object discriminant filter (MODF). Results of preliminary experiments show that the designed header recognition filter can suppress crosstalk. The intensity ratio of correlation signals of a target header signal to non-target ones is higher than 1.95 : 1 in case of 4-bits BPSK header signals. 相似文献

To suppress crosstalk caused by matched filtering in label recognition based on optical correlation, we propose the novel design method of a label recognition filter to improve the discrimination performance. Assuming the assistance of optical time-gating, the label recognition filter is designed by a technique of a multiple-object discriminant filter (MODF) so that the crosstalk can be suppressed only at the center of correlation signals. This method can reduce the requirement for the performance of an optical thresholder. Simulation results show that the designed label recognition filter can successfully suppress the crosstalk. 相似文献

The mechanism of nonlinear crosstalk in WDM-SCM fiber communication systems is investigated. Then the crosstalk suppression method of complementary modulation of twin carriers is introduced and discussed. We study the influence of the discreteness of information about the channel state, which is transmitted over the receiver–transmitter return line, on the effeiciency of MIMO systems. It is shown that such a discreteness results in energy losses and appearance of crosstalk in parallel eigenchannels of the MIMO system. We propose a method of crosstalk suppression, which ensures a pronounced decrease in the energy losses and restores the nondependence of eigenchannels with respect to transmitted symbols but leads to the correlation of output internal noise. Expressions for a maximum likely estimate of received signals are derived with allowance for the noise correlation. Mathematical simulation results showing the high efficiency of the proposed method are presented for the case of Rayleigh fading of signals. 相似文献

We propose and analyse a new method to reduce cross-talk noise in a shift multiplexed holographic storage system using multiple point sources. The normalized diffraction efficiency is given analytically with respect to the shift distance. The noise-to-signal ratio is defined and calculated to value the cross-talk of the system. 利用两组串联五环谐振器以及它们与两信道波导的交叉耦合作用,优化设计并模拟了一种超低串扰2×2新型聚合物电光开关.为了表征器件的输出光功率特性,给出了器件结构、分析理论和相关公式.为了在下行端口(drop端口)得到箱型光谱响应以及极低的串扰和插入损耗,优化了微环谐振级数和耦合间距.对器件输出光功率和输出光谱的模拟分析结果显示,器件交叉和直通态间的切换电压为4V,交叉和直通态下两端口间的串扰分别为-66dB和-54.7dB,插入损耗分别为2.34dB和0.24dB.在1GHz方波信号作用下,器件drop端口的上升和下降时间分别为15ps和90ps.由于聚合物微环的弯曲半径仅为19.45μm,因此该器件具有超紧凑的尺寸,其长度和宽度仅为0.407mm,约为马赫-曾德尔干涉仪或者定向耦合器等一般结构聚合物电光开关长度的1/10.依赖于小的封装尺寸和极低的串扰,该器件可以高密度地集成在光电子芯片上,在光片上网络中光信号的控制方面具有潜在的应用. 相似文献

We propose an ultrafast optical time-to-two-dimensional (2-D) space conversion system using a crystal of β-BaB2O4. The proposed system can optically retrieve a 2-D spatial distribution (an image signal) from an ultra-short laser pulse modulated by an image. The fundamentals are the time-to-space transform and the spatial time-frequency transform. Optical time gating using a nonlinear optical crystal is applied for the time-to-space transform. A micro-expression (ME) is a kind of involuntary facial expressions, which commonly occurs with subtle intensity. The accurately recognition ME, a. k. a. micro-expression recognition (MER), has a number of potential applications, e.g., interrogation and clinical diagnosis. Therefore, the subject has received a high level of attention among researchers in affective computing and pattern recognition communities. In this paper, we proposed a straightforward and effective deep learning method called uncertainty-aware magnification-robust networks (UAMRN) for MER, which attempts to address two key issues in MER including the low intensity of ME and imbalance of ME samples. Specifically, to better distinguish subtle ME movements, we reconstructed a new sequence by magnifying the ME intensity. Furthermore, a sparse self-attention (SSA) block was implemented which rectifies the standard self-attention with locality sensitive hashing (LSH), resulting in the suppression of artefacts generated during magnification. On the other hand, for the class imbalance problem, we guided the network optimization based on the confidence about the estimation, through which the samples from rare classes were allotted greater uncertainty and thus trained more carefully. We conducted the experiments on three public ME databases, i.e., CASME II, SAMM and SMIC-HS, the results of which demonstrate improvement compared to recent state-of-the-art MER methods. 相似文献
