Optical header recognition is one key function that enables ultrafast optical routing in photonic packet-switched networks. Especially, optical header recognition based on optical correlation processing has attracted much attention. Header signals using optical codes are decoded using optical correlation processing. We improve the decoding method for Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK) header signals in order to suppress crosstalk caused by matched filtering in the header recognition unit. We design a header recognition filter using the technique of a multiple-object discriminant filter (MODF). Results of preliminary experiments show that the designed header recognition filter can suppress crosstalk. The intensity ratio of correlation signals of a target header signal to non-target ones is higher than 1.95 : 1 in case of 4-bits BPSK header signals.  相似文献

We present genetic algorithms as optimization tools for the design of header recognition filters based on time-delay lines. The fitness parameter in the selection process is the discrimination of the target against all other bit patterns. For phase-shift-keyed headers, optimized filters exhibit improved discrimination compared with the matched filter. Time-domain filtering with no ambiguities is also achieved for specific amplitude-shift-keyed headers. Delay-line-based time-domain filters can be implemented in a planar lightwave circuit platform by simple phase and amplitude adjustments on the time delay taps.  相似文献

We describe a novel type of an optical packet switch with an optical header processor based on optical signal processing and wavelength routing architecture. It consists of an optical digital-to-analog conversion-type header processor, wavelength selection portion with an electrically tunable laser, a wavelength converter based on a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA), and wavelength routing by use of an arrayed waveguide grating (AWG), which is called a wavelength label switch (WLS). Wavelength switching of an electrically tunable laser, and wavelength conversion were successfully achieved within a few nanoseconds after recognition of an optical header using a two-bit optical header processor and a FPGA-based wavelength table. High-speed transfer performance of less than a few tens of nanoseconds and BER of less than 10-10 were verified in the wavelength routing operation among three assigned wavelengths.  相似文献

We demonstrate the routing operation of optical packets by an optical packet switch consisting of an optical digital-to-analog conversion-type header processor, a wavelength converter using an electrically-tunable laser, and an arrayed-waveguide grating router. 提出一种新型的光分组信头净荷分离方案.利用一个非对称半导体光放大器马赫-曾德尔干涉仪提取出信头脉冲,然后再利用对称的SOA-MZIs构建异或门,完成信头脉冲和光分组脉冲在差分调制下的逻辑运算,提取出净荷脉冲.在50 Gb/s速率下,数值仿真表明提取出的信头和净荷信号的开关比均超过16 dB.此外通过更改参数设置.该方案还可以应用到不同速率,不同信头长度的信头净荷分离中.  相似文献

提出了一种基于SOA-DI结构在OTDM网中光分组信头提取的方案,该方案利用半导体光放大器(SOA)的增益饱和效应,通过DI结构干涉实现了2.5Gbit/s 全光信头和40Gbit/s净荷数据的OTDM光分组包信头提取,提取的光分组信头消光比可达16dB以上.给出了理论模型并进行了数值仿真,从理论上对输入脉冲能量和脉宽、SOA的饱和能量、SOA载流子寿命、SOA小信号增益以及DI干涉时延差等重要参量对光分组包信头提取质量的影响做了分析.该方案结构简单,易于集成.  相似文献

利用半导体光放大器增益饱和数学模型,第一次分析了基于单个半导体放大器进行光标签提取的节点性能.通过对半导体光放大器的参量分析和优化,仿真显示,对于标签速率2.5 Gb/ s 、净荷速率40 Gb/s 的光分组包,提取的标签消光比可达到13 dB.  相似文献

运用FLUNET软件对ITER屏蔽模块上的前集箱进行了数值模拟计算。计算结果表明,前集箱盖板存在冷却不均匀和冷却不够充分的问题。根据数值模拟的结果,对前集箱中的导流板进行了改进,并给出了改进后导流板的几何尺寸和结构。改进后的数值分析结果表明,采用改进后的T型导流板,前集箱盖板的冷却可以满足ITER的要求。  相似文献

We demonstrate fundamental functions for ultrafast optical routing by using an elemental part of an ultrafast optical technique for conversion of time to two-dimensional space. We have demonstrated real-time decoding of 20-bit biphase-coded address header pulses, using stimulated photon echoes in a phase-matched crossed-beam configuration. This decoding is one of the functions required for coherent transient optical data routing, packet switching, and processing. The active medium used was single-crystal Y(2)SiO(5) doped with Er(3+), which provides an operating wavelength of 1536 nm.  相似文献

The steel ASTM A213 P22 is used for superheater outlet header in power plants. During duty cycles lasting over tens of years the temperature is of the order of 545°C and the pressure 125 atm. The microscopic changes in these steels are hard to analyze under working conditions, but they are believed to be responsible for the appearance of creeps in such devices. Investigation of the microscopic modifications will help to predict future failures due to creeps, increasing the reliability and saving a lot of money.We report the investigation of such changes in ASTM A213 P22 steel in use for 30 years as a Superheater header at Haifa power station. The analysis has been carried out using Mössbauer Spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and optical microscopy. As a result it seems that the morphology and phase change of the carbide phases M3C/M7C3 and M23C6 are the most prominent changes leading to the material failures.  相似文献

基于频率响应理论模型,分析了同轴封装的雪崩光电探测器的高频特性.包含芯片、键合金丝、跨阻放大器和同轴管座等各部分的高频特性及对器件高频特性的影响.通过调节封装过程中不同键合金丝引入的电感参量,可以得到不同现象的频率响应.最后考虑实际工程条件,优化得到了10 GHz的-3 dB带宽的同轴封装雪崩光电探测器件.  相似文献

为了实现高灵敏度的空间激光通信,并提高传输信道的抗干扰能力,将单光子探测技术和脉冲位置调制技术相结合,采用门控电路与反馈淬灭电路相结合的方式淬灭单光子探测器雪崩,设计了插入帧头法用于脉冲位置调制解调。用现场可编程门阵列进行了脉冲位置调制解调过程的仿真,验证了插入帧头法的有效性与可行性。在此基础上搭建了1 550 nm的脉冲位置调制激光通信实验,同时测试了单光子探测器在不同参数下的性能。结果表明,当探测效率为25%,触发延时为8.00 ns,门宽为5.0 ns,死时间为0.1μs时,单光子探测器性能最佳。最后测试了不同调制速率下单光子探测器的探测灵敏度,结果表明,当通信码速率为1 Mbps时,通信灵敏度为-51.8 dBm;当通信码速率为4 Mbps时,通信灵敏度为-41.0 dBm,实现了高灵敏度的空间激光通信。  相似文献

Two simple methods for estimating the potential modulation bandwidth of TO packaging technique are presented. The first method is based upon the comparison of the measured frequency responses of the laser diodes and the TO laser modules, and the second is from the equivalent circuit for the test fixture, the TO header, the submount and the bonding wire. It is shown that the TO packaging techniques used in the experiments can potentially achieve a frequency bandwidth of over 10.5 GHz, and the two proposed methods give similar results.  相似文献

We report an experimental demonstration of optical header recognition that utilizes phase-dependent soliton interaction. A probe word composed of optical solitons is copropagated with a data word while cross-phase modulation from the data bits alters the soliton phases. During subsequent propagation the result of interaction between the solitons depends on the data pattern and is used to identify a desired data word. The method is noncorrelational, has a high contrast, and uses a pattern-detection threshold that does not depend on the desired data pattern. We have demonstrated recognition of 8-bit words at 63 Gbits/s with this technique.  相似文献

Scattering parameters of photodiode chip, TO header and TO packaged module are measured, and the effects of TO packaging network on the high-frequency response of photodiode are investigated. Based on the analysis, the potential bandwidth of TO packaging techniques is estimated from the scattering parameters of the TO packaging network. Another method for estimating the potential bandwidth from the equivalent circuit for the TO packaged photodiode model is also presented. The results obtained using both methods show that the TO packaging techniques used in the experiments can potentially achieve a frequency bandwidth of 22 GHz.  相似文献

Optical burst switching (OBS) is an optical switching paradigm which offers a good tradeoff between the traditional optical circuit switching (OCS) and optical packet switching (OPS) since it has the relatively easy implementation of the first and the efficient bandwidth utilization of the second. Hence, OBS is a promising technology for the next generation optical Internet. A buffer-less OBS network can be implemented using ordinary optical communication equipment without the need for either wavelength converters or optical memories. In an OBS network, burst-loss performance is a critical concern. In OBS, the data-burst transmission is delayed by an offset time (relative to its burst control packet (BCP), or header) and the burst follows its header without waiting for an acknowledgment for resource reservation. Thus, a burst may be lost at an intermediate node due to contention, which is generally resolved according to the local routing and bandwidth information. The routing table maintained in each OBS node is generally pre-computed and fixed to forward the data bursts. Such a static forwarding feature might have limited efficiency to resolve contentions. Moreover, a burst may be lost and the network may be congested when a network element (e.g., fiber link) fails. In this paper, an efficient integrated scheme based on dynamic routing and burst segmentation has been proposed to improve reliability of data transport and network load balancing in optical burst switched networks. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed approach reduces effectively blocking probability and hence contention. Further, it provides end-to-end throughput performance also. Hence, it establishes an appropriate tradeoff between loss rate and end-to-end throughput.  相似文献

We propose a novel optical bit-pattern recognition employing an Opto-VLSI processor in conjunction with an array of fibre Bragg gratings (FBGs) with different Bragg wavelengths and a coherent-to-incoherent light converter. The FBG array slices the spectrum of the incoherent optical header and provides wavelength-dependent time delays, whereas the Opto-VLSI processor generates wavelength intensity profiles that match specific bit patterns. The recognition of 8-bit optical patterns is experimentally demonstrated at 2.2 Gb/s by showing that the correlator produces an autocorrelation waveform of high peak whenever the input bit pattern matches the wavelength intensity profile.  相似文献

An ultrafast photonic asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) switch is proposed that incorporates a holographic buffer memory and an optical parallel routing controller. Ultrafast serial-to-parallel conversion of the temporal profiles of optical cells into spatial patterns is used to process optical cells in space in a parallel manner. The spatial pattern of the data payload is holographically recorded as a page in the optical buffer memory. The routing control to establish the switching state consists of header recognition performed by optical matched filtering, followed by control signal generation via reference to a lookup table. The ultimate throughput of the switch is expected to be 103 Tb/s with line bit-rates of 17 Tb/s.  相似文献
