We consider tensors T=fg on the pseudo-euclidean space Rn and on the hyperbolic space Hn, where n?3, g is the standard metric and f is a differentiable function. For such tensors, we consider, in both spaces, the problems of existence of a Riemannian metric , conformal to g, such that , and the existence of such a metric which satisfies , where is the scalar curvature of . We find the restrictions on the Ricci candidate for solvability and we construct the solutions when they exist. We show that these metrics are unique up to homothety, we characterize those globally defined and we determine the singularities for those which are not globally defined. None of the non-homothetic metrics , defined on Rn or Hn, are complete. As a consequence of these results, we get positive solutions for the equation , where g is the pseudo-euclidean metric.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to relate the variety parameterizing completely decomposable homogeneous polynomials of degree d in n+1 variables on an algebraically closed field, called , with the Grassmannian of (n−1)-dimensional projective subspaces of Pn+d−1. We compute the dimension of some secant varieties to . Moreover by using an invariant embedding of the Veronese variety into the Plücker space, we are able to compute the intersection of G(n−1,n+d−1) with , some of its secant varieties, the tangential variety and the second osculating space to the Veronese variety.  相似文献

In this paper, we show that if is an n-dimensional subspace of L(V) such that every nonzero transformation of has rank greater than or equal to 2n−1 then is algebraically reflexive. If is an n-dimensional subspace of B(H) such that every nonzero transformation of  has rank greater than or equal to 2n−1 then is hyperreflexive. We consider completely regular Hausdorff spaces. In this paper we investigate the space of probability Radon measures P(X) on a space X and the property to be a Prohorov space. We prove that the space P(X) is sieve-complete if and only if X is sieve-complete. Every mapping generates the mapping . Some properties of the mapping P(φ) are studied. In particular, we investigate under which conditions the open continuous image of a Prohorov space is Prohorov.  相似文献

We study interlacing properties of the zeros of two types of linear combinations of Laguerre polynomials with different parameters, namely and . Proofs and numerical counterexamples are given in situations where the zeros of Rn, and Sn, respectively, interlace (or do not in general) with the zeros of , , k=n or n−1. Let (X,OX) be a compact (reduced) complex space, bimeromorphic to a Kähler manifold. The singular cohomology groups Hq(X,C) carry a mixed Hodge structure. In particular they carry a weight filtration WlHq(X,C) (l=0,…,q), and the graded quotients have a direct sum decomposition into holomorphic invariants as . Here we investigate the relationships between the above invariants for r=0 and the cohomology groups , where is the sheaf of weakly holomorphic functions on X. Let sR, τ∈[0,∞), p∈(1,∞) and q∈(1,∞]. In this paper, we introduce a new class of function spaces which unify and generalize the Triebel-Lizorkin spaces with both p∈(1,∞) and p=∞ and Q spaces. By establishing the Carleson measure characterization of Q space, we then determine the relationship between Triebel-Lizorkin spaces and Q spaces, which answers a question posed by Dafni and Xiao in [G. Dafni, J. Xiao, Some new tent spaces and duality theorem for fractional Carleson measures and Qα(Rn), J. Funct. Anal. 208 (2004) 377-422]. Moreover, via the Hausdorff capacity, we introduce a new class of tent spaces and determine their dual spaces , where sR, p,q∈[1,∞), max{p,q}>1, , and t denotes the conjugate index of t∈(1,∞); as an application of this, we further introduce certain Hardy-Hausdorff spaces and prove that the dual space of is just when p,q∈(1,∞).  相似文献

In this paper, we first determine that the first four trees of order n?9 with the smallest algebraic connectivity are Pn,Qn,Wn and Zn with α(Pn)<α(Qn)<α(Wn)<α(Zn)<α(T), where T is any tree of order n other than Pn, Qn, Wn, and Zn. Then we consider the effect on the Laplacian eigenvalues of connected graphs by suitably adding edges. By using these results and methods, we finally determine that the first six connected graphs of order n?9 with the smallest algebraic connectivity are and , with , where G is any connected graph of order n other than Pn, Qn, , Wn, and .  相似文献

We study the stable extendibility of R-vector bundles over the (2n+1)-dimensional standard lens space Ln(p) with odd prime p, focusing on the normal bundle to an immersion of Ln(p) in the Euclidean space R2n+1+t.
