强非局域空间光孤子是指满足强非局域条件的空间孤子.在Snyder和Mitchell工作的基础上,获得了不共面对称斜入射(1+2)维强非局域空间光孤子对相互作用问题的精确解析解.结果表明,光束初始中心距离在大范围尺度内变化时,双孤子的演化都能形成类似DNA结构的稳定缠绕,这种稳定缠绕的结构与双孤子的初始相位差无关;光束中心在横截面上的投影轨迹一般是一个斜椭圆,通过改变两光束的初始中心距离和倾斜度可以控制该椭圆轨迹的变化.指出了利用(1+2)维强非局域空间光孤子的相互作用特性实现平面全光开关和全光互联的潜在可能性.

All-optical steering of the nonlinear interactions between multiple spatial solitons can be performed in an isotropic photoisomerization polymer, by propagating an external control beam in perpendicular direction. Fusing, giving birth to another new soliton, and transferring energy can take place in the interactions of signal beams, which can be achieved by changing the incident position of the control beam, the initial relative phase and the power ratio between the signal beams and the control beam. These phenomena are physically explained, and they have significantly potential applications in optical signal readdressing, logic gating, and all-optical switching, etc. 相似文献

The polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) film doped with an azo dye ethyl-red (ER) film is employed to demonstrate the properties of an all-optical switch by its photoinduced dichroism and birefringence. We show how to enhance remarkably the modulation depth of all-optical switches almost to 100% by using two linear polarization beams: one beam is inclined at 45o with respect to the probing beam and serves as a pumping beam, and the other beam is perpendicular to the probing beam and used as an erasing beam. Furthermore, a maximum-to-minimum output intensity ratio of 2000:1 is achieved in experiment, which is very useful and important for optical storages and image displays. 相似文献

We study the soliton mobility in nonlocal nonlinear media with an imprinted fading optical lattice. The results show that the transverse mobility of solitons varies with the lattice decay rate and the nonlocality degree, which provides an opportunity for all-optical control of light. 相似文献

In this paper, we propose all-optical multifunctional logic gates for image information using photorefractive (PR) two-wave
mixing. The optical setup is simply configured compared with the other all-optical logic gates for image information. The
XOR-, OR-, and AND-operation are all-optically performed in the same optical setup through the transitional response of the
PR medium. One can switch these logic operations simply by means of the on-off control of the signal and the pump beam illumination.
We analyze the spatial distribution of beam intensity in these logic gates using a finite-difference beam propagation method
(FD-BPM) and the crosstalk between adjoining pixels is examined from the result. We also experimentally verify that the XOR-,

We explore laser-polarization-dependent and magnetically controlled optical bistability (OB) in an optical ring cavity filled with diamond nitrogen-vacancy (NV) defect centers under optical excitation. The shape of the OB curve can be significantly modified in a new operating regime from the previously studied OB case, namely, by adjusting the intensity of the external magnetic field and the polarization of the control beam. The influences of the intensity of the control beam, the frequency detuning, and the cooperation parameter on the OB behavior are also discussed in detail. These results are useful in real experiments for realizing an all-optical bistate switching or coding element in a solid-state platform. 相似文献

This paper derives the dispersion relation of microring
coupled-resonator optical waveguides (CROWs) without any
approximation by using the transfer matrix method. Based on the
established dispersion relation of CROWs it obtains the slow group
velocity and dispersion coefficient. It finds that the effect of
dispersion on optical pulses can be adjusted to balance the effect
of nonlinearity by changing coupling coefficient or loss, so optical
soliton with group delay can be obtained in microring CROWs. The
optical soliton with group delay is of great significance for
applications of microring CROWs in delay lines and optical buffers
