Capillary electrophoresis (CE) is an attractive technique in separation science because of its high separation performance,
short analysis time and low cost. Electrochemical detection (EC) is a powerful tool for CE because of its high sensitivity.
In this review, developments of CE-EC from 2008 to August, 2011 are reviewed. We choose papers of innovative and novel results
to demonstrate the newest and most important progress in CE-EC.

A new organometallic complex coupling photoactive coumarin to a diironhexacarbonyl unit has been successfully prepared and its composition and electronic structure confirmed by elemental and spectroscopic analyses. Emission spectral analysis of the complex reveals photoinduced intramolecular electron transfer from coumarin to the iron-carbonyl moiety. The compound is electrochemically reduced at −1.24 V vs. Fc/Fc+. This reduction is irreversible, attesting to the instability of the complex. Electrochemical evolution of hydrogen in the presence of the complex has been studied and results are discussed. 相似文献

New chiral enantiopure ureas and thioureas with (R,R)-TADDOL backbone were synthesized. Bis-(thio)ureas with C2 symmetry were obtained from TADDOL iso(thio)cyanates and bifunctional
amino-(thio)ureas from TADDAMINE, respectively. These were tested for carboxylate recognition capacity and the association
constant was determined for the most stable complex.

Removal of lead(II) from aqueous solution with amino-functionalized nanoscale zero-valent iron 总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
An effective adsorbent for removal of Pb(II) in aqueous solution was synthesized by reaction of nanoscale zero-valent iron
(NZVI) and 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APS). The material was characterized using transmission electron microscopy (TEM),
infrared spectroscopy (IR) and a thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA). The amino-coated NZVI rapidly removed Pb(II) from aqueous
solution and was easily separated by an external magnetic field. The Freundlich equation was used for investigating the adsorption
process of APS-NZVI. Compared to untreated NZVI, the APS-coated NZVI exhibited stronger adsorption affinity and better adsorption
performance. Therefore, APS-NZVI may be a suitable material for heavy metal remediation and has potential industrial applications.

Graphene multilayers have been prepared by mechanical method based on milling graphite in high efficient attritor mill. The
results showed that the best dispersion media is ethanol, and 10 hours of intensive milling proved to be the most efficient
way to separate the graphite layers as it was shown by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction measurements.

Two new long-chain carboxylic acids (1, 2) bearing strong fluorescent group pyrene as ligands for Self-Assembled Monolayers (SAMs) have been synthesized. The multistep targeted synthesis is accomplished by use of Pyren-1-yl methylamine hydrochloride and employing simplified synthetic protocols. Hydrophilic interaction chromatography (HILIC) is an increasingly popular alternative to conventional HPLC for drug analysis.
It offers increased selectivity and sensitivity, and improved efficiency when quantifying drugs and related compounds in complex
matrices such as biological and environmental samples, pharmaceutical formulations, food, and animal feed. In this review
we summarize HILIC methods recently developed for drug analysis (2006–2011). In addition, a list of important applications
is provided, including experimental conditions and a brief summary of results. The references provide a comprehensive overview
of current HILIC applications in drug analysis.

A novel environmental friendly, room temperature route using an ionic liquid 1-n-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hydroxide ([BMIM]OH)
for the synthesis of Mn3O4 nanoparticles is presented. The product was characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray powder diffraction,
and transmission electron microscopy. Phase purity was confirmed by XRD, and X-ray line profile fitting determined a crystallite
size of 42 ± 11 nm. TEM analysis revealed various morphologies. EPR measurements have indicated the existence of long-range
interactions, due to the wide range of particle sizes and morphologies observed.

Several methods to determine amino acids and vitamins in biological and pharmaceutical samples have been reported. Thin layer
chromatography (TLC) finds its place when the relatively costly equipment required by other methods is unavailable. This review
covers the 1991–2010 literature on TLC/HPTLC (high performance thin layer chromatography) amino acid and vitamin determinations.
It gives an overview of the special features as well as the problems in TLC/HPTLC determinations of amino acids and vitamins.
Various chromatographic systems useful in amino acid and vitamin identification, separation and quantitation of are presented
in tabular form. Future prospects of TLC/HPTLC for amino acid and vitamin determinations are also discussed.

Polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis is a powerful tool for protein mixture separation frequently used in proteomic studies.
This article describes the problems which can arise during the identification process of separated proteins by matrix assisted
laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry. Presence of residual acrylamide monomers in the peptide samples leads to a
significant peptide signal suppression. In the case of protein prohibitin, isolated from the MCF 7 breast cancer cell line,
the peptide signal suppression was observed in 50% of all detected peptides.

This paper presents an experimental characterization of two sources of calcium carbonate, limestone and calcium carbonate precipitate (CCP) used in wet flue gas desulphurization processes. Characterization of the two carbonate sources was carried out by chemical analysis, IR spectra, thermal behavior, particle size distribution for CCP, BET surface area and absorption capacity of SO2 in calcium carbonate suspensions. The absorption temperature, suspension concentration and carbonate grain size were found to be the most influential parameters in the absorption capacity measurements. 相似文献

1 with ketonic Mannich bases derived from acetophenones, acetylnaphthalenes, 2-acetylthiophene and 1-tetralone to afford a
series of novel 1-(3-oxopropyl)benzimidazoles. The reduction of these transamination products with NaBH4 in methanol produced the corresponding 1-(3-hydroxypropyl)benzimidazoles in excellent yields.

A simple and efficient protocol for the preparation of a series of N-alkyl-3-boronopyridinium salts is described which requires exposure of 3-pyridineboronic acid neopentylglycol ester and corresponding alkyle halide to microwave irradiation followed by boronic ester hydrolysis. The technique employed drastically reduces the reaction time and prevents thermal degradation and the formation of side products. Water solutions of the obtained boronopyridinium salts are shown to be stable at room temperature in wide pH range as well as in the presence of hydrogen peroxide at pH 10.0 for 72 h. 相似文献

The nucleophilic displacement of two nitro groups in 3,4-bis(3-nitrofurazan-4-yl)furoxan with ammonia, primary aliphatic amines
and hydrazine leads to formation of a novel heterocyclic system, 7H-tris[1,2,5]oxadiazolo[3,4-b:3′,4′-d:3″,4″-f]azepine. The
reaction of compound 1 with secondary aliphatic amines proceeds in a typical way for nitrofurazans when the nitro-group in
the starting compound is substituted by RR’N-group.

Carbon nanotubes are among the plethora of novel nanostructures developed since the 1980s. Nanotubes have attracted considerable
interest by the scientific community thanks to their extraordinary physical and chemical properties. Research areas have flourished
in recent years and now include the nano-electronic, (bio)sensor and analytical field along with many others. This review
covers applications of carbon nanotubes in capillary electrophoresis, capillary electrochromatography and microchip electrophoresis.
First, carbon nanotubes and a range of electrophoretic techniques are briefly introduced and key references are mentioned.
Next, a comprehensive survey of achievements in the field is presented and critically assessed. The merits and downsides of
carbon nanotube addition to the various capillary electrophoretic modes are addressed. The different schemes for fabricating
electrochromatographic stationary phases based on carbon nanotubes are discussed. Finally, some future perspectives are offered.

We report hereby the first method of direct treatment of a wet soil containing toxic polychloroderivatives. Using a system with metallic Ca and 5% Rh fixed on charcoal in methanol, soil samples artificially polluted with fly ash containing polychloro-dibenzodioxins (PCDDs), polychloro-dibenzofurans (PCDFs) and coplanar polychlorinated biphenyls (co-PCBs), and having 69.2% to 84.6% moisture content, were successfully treated and decontaminated. This treatment afforded excellent hydrodechlorination yields for the 29 most toxic congeners of PCDDs, PCDFs and PCBs (98.3% degradation yield based on toxic equivalent quotient — or TEQ) after a 24 h treatment, at room temperature. 相似文献
