We demonstrate that a spherical accretion onto astrophysical black holes, under the influence of Newtonian or various post-Newtonian pseudo-Schwarzschild gravitational potentials, may constitute a concrete example of classical analogue gravity naturally found in the Universe. We analytically calculate the corresponding analogue Hawking temperature as a function of the minimum number of physical parameters governing the accretion flow. We study both the polytropic and the isothermal accretion. We show that unlike in a general relativistic spherical accretion, analogue white hole solutions can never be obtained in such post-Newtonian systems. We also show that an isothermal spherical accretion is a remarkably simple example in which the only one information–the temperature of the fluid, is sufficient to completely describe an analogue gravity system. For both types of accretion, the analogue Hawking temperature may become higher than the usual Hawking temperature. However, the analogue Hawking temperature for accreting astrophysical black holes is considerably lower compared with the temperature of the accreting fluid.  相似文献

We study the theory ofc=1 torus and 2-orbifold models on general Riemann surfaces. The operator content and occurrence of multi-critical points in this class of theories is discussed. The partition functions and correlation functions of vertex operators and twist fields are calculated using the theory of double covered Riemann surfaces. It is shown that orbifold partition functions are sensitive to the Torelli group. We give an algebraic construction of the operator formulation of these nonchiral theories on higher genus surfaces. Modular transformations are naturally incorporated as canonical transformations in the Hilbert space.  相似文献

We consider the most general static spherically symmetric black hole metric. The accretion of the fluid flow around the Van der Waal's black hole is investigated and we calculate the fluid's four-velocity, the critical point and the speed of sound during the accretion process. We also analyze the nature of the universe's density and the mass of the black hole during accretion of the fluid flow. The density of the fluid flow is also taken into account. We observe that the mass is related to redshift. We compare the accreting power of the Van der Waal's black hole with Schwarzschild black hole for different accreting fluid.  相似文献

We prove two conjectures from [DSZ2,DSZ3] concerning the expected number of critical points of random holomorphic sections of a positive line bundle. We show that, on average, the critical points of minimal Morse index are the most plentiful for holomorphic sections of \({\mathcal {O}(N) \to \mathbb {CP}^m}\) and, in an asymptotic sense, for those of line bundles over general Kähler manifolds. We calculate the expected number of these critical points for the respective cases and use these to obtain growth rates and asymptotic bounds for the total expected number of critical points in these cases. This line of research was motivated by landscape problems in string theory and spin glasses.  相似文献

In this Letter,we examine the phantom energy accretion onto a Kehagias-Sfetsos black hole in Horava-Lifshitz gravity. To discuss the accretion process onto the black hole, the equations of phantom flow near the black hole have been derived. It is found that mass of the black hole decreases because of phantom accretion. We discuss the conditions for critical accretion.Graphically,it has been found that the critical accretion phenomena is possible for different values of parameters. The results for the Schwarzschild black hole can be recovered in the limiting case.  相似文献

We investigate the critical behavior of geometric measure of quantum discord (GMQD) in a one-dimensional transverse XY spin chain. The critical and the scaling behavior of the ground state GMQD are investigated both at the multi-critical and Ising critical points. Our results show that the behavior of GMQD at muti-critical point (MCP) has close relation with the path, which is determined by the parameter α, that approaching the MCP. For α < 2, the GMQD and its first derivation show oscillation behavior. For α ≥ 2, no oscillation behavior is observed. This indicates that the GMQD can not describe exactly the multi-critical point of the XY model. However, at the Ising critical point, the path parameter has no influence on the critical behavior. The GMQD (first derivation of GMQD) shows peaks (dips) and indicates exactly the position of Ising critical point. The results also show that the path parameter influences much to the scaling behavior near the MCP, but less to that of Ising critical point. Our results may provide reference to the exploration of relationships between GMQD and quantum phase transitions.  相似文献

We use the generalized σ-model to analytically study the solution of the problem of magnon scattering in two-dimensional isotropic ferromagnets and antiferromagnets in the presence of a Belavin-Polyakov soliton. We obtain the exact analytical solution to this problem for the partial mode with the azimuthal quantum number m=1. The scattering amplitude for other values of m (i.e., values not equal to unity) are studied analytically in the long-and short-wavelength approximations and also numerically for an arbitrary value of the wave number. We establish the general laws governing the soliton-magnon interaction. For a magnetic material of finite dimensions we calculate the frequencies of the magnon modes. We also use the data on local modes to derive the equations of motion of the soliton. Finally, we calculate the low-temperature (long-wavelength) asymptotic behavior of the magnon density of states due to the soliton-magnon interaction. Zh. éksp. Teor. We investigate the dynamics of generalized tachyon field in FRW spacetime. We obtain the autonomous dynamical system for the general case. Because the general autonomous dynamical system cannot be solved analytically, we discuss two cases in detail: β=1 and β=2. We find the critical points and study their stability. At these critical points, we also consider the stability of the generalized tachyon field, which is as important as the stability of critical points. The possible final states of the universe are discussed.

We consider accretion onto a Kiselev black hole. We obtain the fundamental equations for accretion without the back-reaction. We determine the general analytic expressions for the critical points and the mass accretion rate and find the physical conditions the critical points should fulfill. The case of a polytropic gas are discussed in detail. It turns out that the quintessence parameter plays an important role in the accretion process.  相似文献

We investigate the Scheme programming language opportunities to analytically calculate the Clebsch-Gordan coefficients, Wigner 6j and 9j symbols, and general recoupling coefficients that are used in the quantum theory of angular momentum. The considered coefficients are calculated by a direct evaluation of the sum formulas. The calculation results for large values of quantum angular momenta were compared with analogous calculations with FORTRAN and Java programming languages. The text was submitted by the authors in English.  相似文献

Outer synchronization between two different fractional-order general complex dynamical networks is investigated in this paper.Based on the stability theory of the fractional-order system, the sufficient criteria for outer synchronization are derived analytically by applying the nonlinear control and the bidirectional coupling methods. The proposed synchronization method is applicable to almost all kinds of coupled fractional-order general complex dynamical networks.Neither a symmetric nor irreducible coupling configuration matrix is required. In addition,no constraint is imposed on the inner-coupling matrix.Numerical examples are also provided to demonstrate the validity of the presented synchronization scheme.Numeric evidence shows that both the feedback strength k and the fractional order α can be chosen appropriately to adjust the synchronization effect effectively.  相似文献

We explain how (perturbed) boundary conformal field theory allows us to understand the tunneling of edge quasiparticles in non-Abelian topological states. The coupling between a bulk non-Abelian quasiparticle and the edge is due to resonant tunneling to a zero mode on the quasiparticle, which causes the zero mode to hybridize with the edge. This can be reformulated as the flow from one conformally invariant boundary condition to another in an associated critical statistical mechanical model. Tunneling from one edge to another at a point contact can split the system in two, either partially or completely. This can be reformulated in the critical statistical mechanical model as the flow from one type of defect line to another. We illustrate these two phenomena in detail in the context of the ν=5/2 quantum Hall state and the critical Ising model. We briefly discuss the case of Fibonacci anyons and conclude by explaining the general formulation and its physical interpretation.  相似文献

After a general introduction to the field, we describe some recent results concerning disorder effects on both ‘random walk models’, where the random walk is a dynamical process generated by local transition rules, and on ‘polymer models’, where each random walk trajectory representing the configuration of a polymer chain is associated to a global Boltzmann weight. For random walk models, we explain, on the specific examples of the Sinai model and of the trap model, how disorder induces anomalous diffusion, aging behaviours and Golosov localization, and how these properties can be understood via a strong disorder renormalization approach. For polymer models, we discuss the critical properties of various delocalization transitions involving random polymers. We first summarize some recent progresses in the general theory of random critical points: thermodynamic observables are not self-averaging at criticality whenever disorder is relevant, and this lack of self-averaging is directly related to the probability distribution of pseudo-critical temperatures T c(i,L) over the ensemble of samples (i) of size L. We describe the results of this analysis for the bidimensional wetting and for the Poland–Scheraga model of DNA denaturation.Conference Proceedings “Mathematics and Physics”, I.H.E.S., France, November 2005  相似文献

By combining Michel's geometric theory of symmetry breaking and classical results from variational analysis, we obtain a lower bound on the number of critical points with given symmetryH G of a potential symmetric underG. The result is obtained by applying the Ljusternik-Schnirelman category in the group orbit space, and can be extended along the same lines to more general situations.  相似文献

Branelike vertex operators, defining backgrounds with ghost-matter mixing in Neveu-Schwarz-Ramond superstring theory, play an important role in a world-sheet formulation of D branes and M theory, being creation operators for extended objects in the second quantized formalism. We show that the dilaton beta function in ghost-matter mixing backgrounds becomes stochastic. The renormalization group (RG) equations in ghost-matter mixing backgrounds lead to non-Markovian Fokker-Planck equations whose solutions describe superstrings in curved spacetimes with branelike metrics. We show that the Feigenbaum universality constant δ=4.669 ..., describing transitions from order to chaos in a huge variety of dynamical systems, appears analytically in these RG equations. We find that the appearance of this constant is related to the scaling of relative spacetime curvatures at fixed points of the RG flow. In this picture, the fixed points correspond to the period doubling of Feigenbaum iterational schemes.

We consider a planar Ising model with an extended defect described by couplings of the form K(r) = K·(1 + A/r). We determine the spectrum of the corner transfer matrix numerically and analytically and use it to calculate the local magnetization at the defect and the corresponding, non-universal critical exponent.  相似文献

We study nonlinear transport for two coupled one-dimensional quantum wires or carbon nanotubes described by Luttinger liquid theory. Transport properties are shown to crucially depend on the contact length L c. For a special interaction strength, the problem can be solved analytically for arbitrary L c. For point-like contacts and strong interactions, a qualitatively different picture compared to a Fermi liquid emerges, characterized by zero-bias anomalies and strong dependence on the applied cross voltage. In addition, pronounced Coulomb drag phenomena are important for extended contacts. Received 28 July 2000  相似文献

We study the transient dynamics of single species reaction diffusion systems whose reaction terms f(u) vary nonlinearly near u ≈ 0, specifically as f(u) ≈ u2 and f(u) ≈ u3. We consider three cases, calculate their traveling wave fronts and speeds analytically and solve the equations numerically with different initial conditions to study the approach to the asymptotic front shape and speed. Observed time evolution is found to be quite sensitive to initial conditions and to display in some cases nonmonotonic behavior, ascribable to the disparity in time scales between the evolution of the front interior and the front tail.  相似文献
