The content and composition by class and fatty acid of neutral (NL), glyco- (GL), and phospholipids (PL) in leaves ofEphedra equizetina Bunge (Ephedraceae) are determined. The acid composition of NL, GL, and PL includes saturated 12∶0–32∶0 acids and unsaturated 15∶1, 16∶1, 18∶1, 18∶2, and 18∶3 acids. Unsaponified components of the total lipids also contained biologically active substances such as α-tocopherol, carotenoids, high-molecular-weight fatty alcohols, triterpenes, and sterols. The composition of lipids from the aerial parts of two species of halophytes from the family Chenopodiaceae, Halostachys caspica C. A. Mey. and Halocharis hispida Bge. was determined. Neutral lipids (NL, 62.1 and 54.2%, respectively) dominated the total lipids (TL) of these plants. More than a third of the NL were esters of aliphatic alcohols and phytosterols (FAE). Fatty acids 16:0, 18:1, and 18:2 dominated the acids of FAE; 16:0, 18:1, and 18:3, the phospholipids. The principal fatty acids of glycolipids were unsaturated acids (68.3 and 75.1%) with linolenic acid dominating (44.9 and 43.5%). The composition of the lipophilic extract from the two specimen of the sponge Axinella carteri (Dendy) collected from two different depths of the Bay of Bengal of the Orissa coast were investigated. Fatty acids, as well as volatile compounds and sterols, were identified. A high concentration of polyunsaturated fatty acids was identified from depth species compared to the species collected from shallow water. The presence of a high concentration of a polymethyl-branched fatty acid, i.e., phytanic acid, and a demospongic acid (C26:2, Δ 5,9) were identified in both specimen, but the % composition of both acids were more in the species collected from depth than the species collected from shallow water. Important polyunsaturated fatty acids like 5,8,11,14-eicosatetraenoic acid and 5,8,11,14,17-eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) were also found in depth species which were absent in the species collected from shallow water. The fatty acid (FA) composition of total lipids from the marine sponge Tedania dirhaphis from the Sea of Okhotsk was studied. GC and GC-MS identified 50 acids, particular attention being paid to components with 14–22 C atoms. Acids 16-Me-19:0, 10,14-Me2-15:1(Δ6), 18:1(Δ6), 18:1(Δ8), and 22:1(Δ16) were observed and identified for the first time in sponges. The composition of the lipophilic extract of the sponge Myrmekioderma granulata (Esper) collected from 13 m depth of the Bay of Bengal of the Orissa coast was investigated. Fatty acids as well as volatiles and sterols were identified. 4,8,12-Trimethyltridecanoic acid was identified for the first time along with the important PUFAs such as linoleic acid (n-6, C18:2), dihomo-γ-linolenic acid (n-6, C20:3), 5,8,11,14-eicosatetraenoic acid (n-3, C20:4), and 5,8,11,14,17-eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) (n-3, C20:5) from this species. The branched polyunsaturated fatty acids like br-C26:2, 25-methyl-5,9-heptacosadienoic acid and 24-methyl-5,9heptacosadienoic acid were also identified by GC-MS. The lipid extract exhibited limited activity against different pathogens.  相似文献

The lipid composition of four tissues, musculo-cutaneous, blood, internal organs, and gonads, from the marine worm Urechis unicinctus was studied. It was shown that the principal phospholipids (PL) in the studied tissues were phosphatidylcholine (PC) and phosphatidylethanolamine (PE). Depending on the tissue type, the fraction of PC was 31.8–42.6%; PE, 16.1–25.7% (of total PL). Blood contained a high percentage of lyso-PE (20.8%). The fatty-acid (FA) composition of the tissues consisted of C16, C18, C20, and C22 families with different degrees of unsaturation. Eicosapentaenoic acid (20:5) had the highest percentage in all tissues at 15.5–26.1%. Tissues with different functions such as musculo-cutaneous and gonads contained the same amounts of 20:5 FA, 26.1% (of total FA). The high content of polyunsaturated FA and, in particular, eicosapentaenoic FA in U. unicinctus confirmed that it was valuable as not only an energy source but also a source of PL and essential FA.  相似文献

The composition of lipids and fatty acids from the red alga Gracilaria verrucosa, for which a high content of 20:4n-6 acid is typical, was studied. The principal lipids were digalactosyldiacylglycerides, phosphatidylcholines (PC), monogalactosyldiacylglyderides (MGDG), and sulfoquinovosyldiacylglycerides, the fraction of each was approximately the same. Sphingophospholipids, inositephosphoceramides, were identified among the polar lipids. Each lipid class differed in the ratio of fatty acids (FA). Lipids of Crambe abyssinica Hochst (Brassicaceae) seeds grown in hothouses in Israel and in the open in Uzbekistan in soil imported from the Aral Sea region were studied. It was found that the seed oil content decreased as the irrigation-water salinity increased. The content of total unsaturated fatty acids of neutral lipids was in the range 91.31–94.81%; of polar lipids, 69.59–83.78%.  相似文献

Flavones 2′,5′-dimethoxyflavone, 3′-methoxy-4′,5′-methylenedioxyflavone, 3′,4′-dimethoxyflavone, 5,6,2′,3′,6′-pentamethoxyflavone, and 5,6,2′,3′,5′,6′-hexamethoxyflavone; salicylates, methyl-4-methoxysalicylate and peonol; and bisbibenzyl polyphenol riccardin C were isolated for the first time from the acetone extract of the aerial part of Primula macrocalyx Bge. The content of free and total fatty acids was determined by GC and GC—MS. Palmitic (16:0), octadecatetraenoic 18:4 (6,9,12,15), linoleic 18:2 (9,12), and α-linolenic 18:3 (9,12,15) were the principal acids from the aerial part of Primula macrocalyx. Lipids from seeds of three plants of the Asteraceae family, Cousinia franchetii, Arctium leiospermum, and Rhaponticum integrifolium, were studied. The principal constituents of lipids from the three plants were shown to be acylglycerides of ordinary fatty acids and oxygenated fatty acids using chemical and chromatographic analyses. The composition of free and bound lipids from seeds of Cortusa turkestanica A. Lozinsk (Primulaceae) was studied. The fatty acid composition of principal acyl-containing classes was established using GC/MS. It was found that triacylglycerines isolated from free and bound lipids contained the usual acids and rarely encountered polyunsaturated 18:3 ω-6 (γ-linolenic, 8.8 and 3.2%) and 18:4 ω-3 (stearidonic, 0.7 and 0.4%) acids and were enriched in linoleic acid (18:2, ω-6, 58.2 and 60.8%, respectively). It was found that polyunsaturated 18:3 ω-6 and 18:4 ω-3 acids were missing in the free form and were found among polar substances of bound lipids.  相似文献

The component composition of essential oils produced by steam distillation from flower heads, leaves, and stems of Salvia anatolica (Lamiaceae), a recently described new species endemic from Turkey, was studied by GC/FID and GC/MS. A total of 127 volatile components representing 96% of the oil was identified in essential oil from flower heads and leaves. It was found that the principal oil components of flower heads and leaves were α-pinene (10.9%), β-pinene (6.7%), α-copaene (6.3%), heptacosane (6.2%), and hexadecanoic acid (5.0%). A total of 109 volatile compounds representing 87.9% of the oil was characterized in essential oil isolated from stems. The heats of solution of tetrabutylammonium bromide have been measured in mixtures of formamide (FA) with methanol (MeOH) and ethylene glycol (EG) at 313.15 K by calorimetric method. The standard enthalpies of solution in binary mixtures have been extrapolated to infinite dilution by Redlich–Rosenfeld–Meyer type equation using the literary data at 298.15 K and the present paper data at 313.15 K. The Debye–Hückel limiting law slope A H required for calculation of the ∆sol H 0 value has been obtained with application the new additive scheme of determination of the physic-chemical characteristics of binaries. The scheme is tested on the example of Bu4NBr solutions in FA–MeOH mixture at 298.15 K. Its application yields the ∆sol H 0 value very closed on the ones determined with the real (non-additive) characteristics of binaries. The standard enthalpies of solution extrapolated by Redlich–Rosenfeld–Meyer type equation are in a good agreement with the ones computed in terms of the Debye–Hückel theory in the second approximation. The heat capacities characteristics of Bu4NBr have been calculated in H2O–FA, MeOH–FA and EG–FA mixtures using the literary and present data. The sequence of solvents H2O > FA > EG > MeOH located on their ability to solvophobic solvation found by us earlier for enthalpic characteristics is confirmed by the ∆C p 0 values. The comparison of thermochemical characteristics of Bu4NBr solutions in aqueous and non-aqueous mixtures containing FA has been carried out. The own structure of water remains in the region of small additions of formamide to co-solvents. It considerably differs the H2O–FA mixture from the investigated non-aqueous systems.  相似文献

The composition of lipids and their fatty acids in tissues of scalp, gonads, and internal organs of the sand dollar Scaphechinus mirabilis was determined using one-and two-dimensional TLC and GC-MS. Lipids of S. mirabilis scalp consisting of several neutral and phospholipids were characterized for the first time. Lipids from Crambe amabilis Butk. et Majlun and C. kotschyana Boiss. grown in the open in Uzbekistan in soil imported from the Aral Sea region were studied. It was found that the seed oil content decreased with increasing salinity of irrigation water with EC 1.5 up to 9.0 dS/m. The content of polar lipids increased. Two new compounds, 2-hydroxyethylcarboxylic acid-5,9-eicodien-carboxylate and 1-(2′-propenoxy)undec-2-ene, and two known compounds, 2-hydroxy-4-methyl-acetophenone and β-sitosterol, were isolated from the roots of Angelicae koreana Kitagawa. We studied the production of fatty acid ethyl esters from castor oil using n-hexane as solvent and two commercial lipases, Novozym 435 and Lipozyme IM, as catalysts. For this purpose, a Taguchi experimental design was adopted considering the following variables: temperature (35–65°C), water (0–10 wt/wt%), and enzyme (5–20 wt/wt%) concentrations and oil-to-ethanol molar ratio (1∶3 to 1∶10). An empirical model was then built so as to assess the main and cross-variable effects on the reaction conversion and also to maximize biodiesel production for each enzyme. For the system containing Novozym 435 as tatalyst the maximum conversion obtained was 81.4% at 65°C, enzyme concentration of 20 wt/wt%, water concentration of 0 wt/wt%, and oil-to-ethanol molar ratio of 1∶10. When the catalyst was Lipozyme IM, a conversion as high as 98% was obtained at 65°C, enzyme concentration of 20 wt/wt%, water concentration of 0 wt/wt%, and oil-to-ethanol molar ratio of 1∶3.  相似文献

Fractions of free sterols and sterol esters were observed in the ethylacetate extract of the marine sponge Suberites cf. aurantiacus and their compositions were determined. It was found that cholesterol was the predominant component in all sterol forms. The esters had a high content of unsaturated long-chain fatty acids (C24–C26). Sterol acetates have not been previously observed in marine invertebrates.  相似文献

Dilute-acid hydrolysis of brewery's spent grain to obtain a pentose-rich fermentable hydrolysate was investigated. The influence of operational conditions on polysaccharide hydrolysis was assessed by the combined severity parameter (CS) in the range of 1.39–3.06. When the CS increased, the pentose sugars concentration increased to a maximum at a CS of 1.94, whereas the maximum glucose concentration was obtained for a CS of 2.65. The concentrations of furfural, hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF), as well as formic and levulinic acids and total phenolic compounds increased with severity. Optimum hydrolysis conditions were found at a CS of 1.94 with >95% of feedstock pentose sugars recovered in the monomeric form, together with a low content of furfural, HMF, acetic and formic acids, and total phenolic compounds. This hydrolysate containing glucose, xylose, and arabinose (ratio 10∶67∶32) was further supplemented with inorganic salts and vitamins and readily fermented by the yeast Debaryomyces hansenii CCMI 941 without any previous detoxification stage. The yeast was able to consume all sugars furfural, HMF, and acetic acid with high biomass yield, 0.68C-mol/C-mol, and productivity, 0.92 g/(L·h). Detoxification with activated charcoal resulted in a similar biomass yield and a slight increase in the volumetric productivity (11%).  相似文献
