由于受网络环境和嵌入式移动数据库等自身工作环境和软硬件条件的限制,用户在申请基于位置的服务时,存在数据传输不稳定,频繁连接服务数据库,服务响应时间过长等缺点.为了能更好的为用户服务,减少服务等待时间,提高服务质量,文章改进关联规则方法,挖掘位置服务中用户的使用模式,预测用户下一步可能申请的服务类型,从而可以预取相关服务数据到用户移动设备,能够减少用户等待数据调用和传输的时间,优化服务质量,提高嵌入式移动数据库的工作效率. 相似文献

Japan has been at the leading edge of location-based services (LBS) deployment using wireless assisted GPS technology. These
services, which include personal security, navigation, gaming, security and fleet management, have experienced tremendous
growth over the last few years. By looking at the factors contributing to this successful growth, LBS can be deployed in Europe
with equal success. In addition to success factors, it is important to look at the underlying wireless network technology
and its deployment impact, since Japanese deployments are based on synchronous 3G whereas Europe's likely deployments will
be based on asynchronous UMTS. Recognizing the implication of both these items in accordance with SnapTrack's vision of UMTS
LBS deployment affords a service provider a better opportunity to successfully introduce LBS and drive service revenue.

The shift of the telecommunication world towards Next Generation Networks (NGNs) has triggered the interest in location-based services (LBSs) for service providers. This interest has elevated the need for seamless access to location information by anyone wishing to evade the overhead of adapting to proprietary interfaces. This paper discusses the use of Open Application Interfaces to unify the access to location information maintained by network components and describes the implementation of a middleware gateway to location information, which complies with these open interfaces. AbstractThe wide adoption of mobile devices and streaming music services has paved the way for location-based music services. However, there has not yet been any commercial breakthrough. We designed OUTMedia, a location-sensitive music discovery application with unique features, to explore rewarding user interactions. This article reports the design efforts and a field study of the functional prototype. We utilised user interviews, log data and the ResQue instrument to study use and user experience of the prototype. All measures found the overall concept feasible and the use of the application resulted in serendipitous experiences of music and places. Our findings call for service designers to support the interplay between media and places in personal meaning-making processes, to enrich urban cultural experiences with user-created information layers that accumulate over time. The design implications can be used to support serendipitous music experiences through the interplay between places and media in future content discovery services. 相似文献

With the proliferation of mobile computing technologies, location based services have been identified as one of the most promising
target application. We classify mobile information service domains based on feature characteristics of the information sources
and different patterns of mobile information access. By carefully examining the service requirements, we identify the dynamic
data management problem that must be addressed for effective location based services in mobile environments. We then devise
a general architecture and cost model for servicing both location independent and location dependent data. Based on the architecture
and cost model, we propose a set of dynamic data management strategies that employs judicious caching, proactive server pushing
and neighborhood replication to reduce service cost and improve response time under changing user mobility and access patterns.
Detail behavior analysis helps us in precisely capturing when and how to apply these strategies. Simulation results suggest
that different strategies are effective for different types of data in response to different patterns of movement and information
access.

Location- and context-based services form a new class of services, which supplement existing services in the mobile communication infrastructure. The paper describes shortly an architecture of systems supporting the new class of services; this architecture extends beyond those systems which have initially been introduced by support of centralized data bases (such as web servers) and by federation components providing search and mapping functions which are necessary for the full exploitation of the capabilities of such services. The concept is based on the existence of heterogeneous mobile and radio access networks. The question arises, among others, to what extent such services add to the network load and its performance, in particular the question of scalability. In this paper, an approach is outlined as a basis for future capacity planning and for the support of strategic decision making with respect to infrastructure investments. 相似文献

We introduce a platform for the rapid prototyping of proactive location-based service discovery, proactive location-based services are conceptualised along three broad categories: location-triggered services chain-triggered services, proximity-triggered services, and illustrated through a number of usage scenarios. We report on a workshop with designers and researchers in the area of location-based services that resulted in a set of initial requirements for the platform.
