Cationic dinuclear Cu(II) complexes 3 and 4 have been prepared using the novel hydroquinone-based imine chelators 2,5-((i)Pr(2)NCH(2)CH(2)N[double bond, length as m-dash]CH)(2)-1,4-(OH)(2)-C(6)H(2) (1) and 2,5-(pyCH(2)CH(2)N[double bond, length as m-dash]CH)(2)-1,4-(OH)(2)-C(6)H(2) (2), respectively (py = 2-pyridyl). X-Ray quality crystals of both complexes were grown from their DMF solutions. The sterically more encumbered compound crystallizes in the form of discrete dinuclear entities with Cu(II) centres in a distorted square-planar ligand environment (one coordination site is occupied by a DMF molecule). The pyridyl derivative 4 features dinuclear hydroquinone-bridged subunits similar to 3. However, the Cu(II) ions are now six-coordinate with two DMF molecules at an axial and an equatorial position of a Jahn-Teller-distorted octahedron. Moreover, the dinuclear subunits are no longer isolated but linked with each other via bridging hydroquinone oxygen atoms which occupy the second apical position of each octahedron. The structure suggests that the magnetic properties of the resulting coordination polymer of 4 could be described by a model valid for dimerized spin chains. As a result of this analysis the antiferromagnetic coupling constants J(1)/k(B) = 9.9 K (intradimer) and J(2)/k(B) = 0.9 K (interdimer) are obtained. Both in 3 and in 4, the hydroquinone --> semiquinone transition of the central bridging unit (E degrees ' = + 0.57 V, 3; E degrees ' = + 0.51 V, 4; DMF; vs. SCE) displays features of chemical reversibility. In the case of , reduction of Cu(II) centres requires a peak potential of E(p) = - 0.42 V.  相似文献

Aqua-bridged binuclear cobalt (II) benzoate complexes having pyridine as auxiliary ligands are synthesised through solid state reactions and characterised. The binuclear core in these complexes comprise of two bridging benzoates and an aqua bridge. Each of the cobalt (II) centre is further co-ordinated to one benzoate and two pyridine ligands. The aqua-bridged cobalt (II) benzoate complex [Co2(μ-H2O)(μ-OBz)2(OBz)2(Py)4] ·  (C6H6)(BzOH) (1a) is inclusion compounds with benzoic acid and benzene (where OBz  =  benzoate, py  =  pyridine). Analogous complex [Co2(μ-H2O)(μ-OBz)2(OBz)2(Py)4] · 1.5(C6H6) without benzoic acid included is also prepared by an alternative method and structurally characterised. Analogous aqua-bridged complex derived from p-chlorobenzoic acid in unsolvated form is characterised. The Co–O–Co separation in these complexes is in the range of 3.55–3.64 Å with angles Co–O–Co varying from 111.8° to 116.4°. While similar reaction in solution leads to the formation of mononuclear complex having composition [Co(OBz)2(Py)2(H2O)]. The unsubstituted benzoate complex 1a can be easily oxidised to form a tetrameric cobalt (III) complex having benzoate and oxo-bridged structure with a Co4O4 core.  相似文献

Bicarbonate ion reacts with the dinuclear nickel(II) complex containing the taec ligand (taec = N,N',N' ',N' '-tetrakis(2-aminoethyl)-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane) in buffered aqueous solution to form the mu-eta(2),eta(2)-carbonate complex with a large effective binding constant for bicarbonate ion, log K(B) = 4.39 at pH = 7.4. In contrast, the dinuclear nickel(II) complex containing the o-xyl-DMC(2) ligand (o-xyl-DMC(2) = alpha,alpha'-bis(5,7-dimethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecan-6-yl)-o-xylene) does not react with bicarbonate or carbonate ion in aqueous solution. In propylene carbonate, the reaction of [Ni(2)(o-xyl-DMC(2))](4+) with bicarbonate proceeds rapidly to form the mu-eta(1),eta(1)-carbonate complex. The structure of this carbonate complex has been determined by an X-ray diffraction study that confirms the mu-eta(1),eta(1)-carbonate binding mode. A mononuclear analogue of [Ni(2)(taec)](4+), [Ni(2,3,2-tetraamine)](2+) does not form a detectable mononuclear or dinuclear product with bicarbonate ion in aqueous solution, but [NiDMC](2+) (DMC = 5,7-dimethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane) reacts slowly with carbonate ion in aqueous solution to form a 2:1 complex.  相似文献

Zinc K-edge X-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS) experiments were performed in the solid and solution states at low temperature (10 K), on dimeric and monomeric anti-inflammatory Zn(II) complexes of indomethacin [1-(4-chlorobenzoyl)-5-methoxy-2-methyl-1H-indole-3-acetic acid=IndoH] of the formula [Zn2(Indo)4L2] [L=pyridine (Py), N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMA)], [Zn(Indo)2L2] [L=ethanol (EtOH), methanol (MeOH)], and Zn(II) acetate dihydrate [Zn(OAc)2(OH2)2]. The bond distances and angles obtained from multiple-scattering fits to the XAFS data of the Zn(II) dimeric complexes in the solid and solution states exhibit excellent correspondence with those obtained from single crystal diffraction studies. The Zn...Zn separations of 2.97 and 2.96 A and carboxylate group O-C-O angles of 125 degrees for powdered [Zn2(Indo)4(Py)2] and [Zn2(Indo)4(DMA)2] agree well with the XRD values of 2.969(1) and 2.9686(6) A and 125.8(4) degrees and 126.1(2) degrees, respectively. The calculated Zn-O(RCOO) and Zn-L bond distances of 2.03 and 2.04 A, or 2.02 and 1.98 A for Py or DMA complexes, respectively, also agree well with crystallographic data. The X-ray powder diffraction data on samples of the monomers exhibited additional reflections apart from those due to the crystallographically characterized cis-[Zn(eta2-O,O'-Indo)2L2], but microanalyses were consistent with this formulation. Therefore, mixed models that contained the cis complex and a second component consisting of a trans-six-coordinate complex, a five-coordinate complex, or a four-coordinate complex were used to model the XAFS. The best fits to the XAFS data were obtained with a mixture of the cis-six-coordinate complex and a four-coordinate complex containing two monodentate Indo ligands. The bond lengths for the six-coordinate structure were consistent with those determined on a single crystal, and those for the four-coordinate complexes were consistent with related four-coordinate structures with two monodentate carboxylate ligands. Dissolution of the dimer (DMA adduct) in DMF resulted in a mixture of dimer and monomer species as shown by MS XAFS fitting. This is the first time that solution structures have been determined for anti-inflammatory Zn(II) complexes, and this is an important first step in understanding the pharmacology of the complexes.  相似文献

The stability constants of Ni(II) complexes with 2-methylhydrazinedithio-carboxylic and 3,3-dimethylhydrazinedithiocarboxylic acids and Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes with 3-methyl-3-phenylhydrazinedithiocarboxylic acid have been determined in aqueous solution at 25°C and I = 0.01 M. The Bjerrum method of corresponding solutions has been applied, revealing the simultaneous presence of 1:1 and 1:2 complexes in solution.  相似文献

The reaction of CuCl2 · 2H2O and CdCl2 with di-(2-picolyl)sulfide (dps) leads to the formation of mononuclear copper(II) and binuclear cadmium(II) complexes, [Cu(dps)Cl2] · H2O (1) and [(dps)(Cl)CdII(μ-Cl)2CdII(Cl)(dps)] (2). The copper atom in (1) is coordinated to one sulfur and two nitrogen atoms from the dps ligand and two chlorides in a distorted square-pyramidal environment. Complex (2) has two distorted octahedra sharing the basal edge that contain the bridging chloro ligands, each of which resides at a center of inversion. Cyclic voltammetric data show that (1) undergoes two reversible one-electron waves corresponding to CuII/CuIII and CuII/CuI processes. However, cyclic voltammetry of (2) gives two irreversible reduced waves.  相似文献

Summary As an approach to systems containing methionine residues, 3-acetyl-4-hydroxy-6-methyl-2H-pyran-2-one (HDh, dehydroacetic acid) was treated with L-methionine (MetH) or L-methionine methylester (MetM). By condensation at the acyl group and transfer of the phenolic hydrogen on the nitrogen atom, the related ligands DhMetH and DhMetM, were isolated, and form complexes of formula [MX2(L)2](M = Pd or Pt, L = DhMetM, X = Cl, Br or I; L = DhMetH, X = Cl or Br) and [MI2(DhMetH)] with palladium and platinum dihalides. The reaction of the DhMetK carboxylate with MCl2 in various media is discussed. Ligands and complexes were characterized by i.r. and n.m.r. (1H and13C) spectroscopy and, in some cases, by thermogravimetric measurements. The ligands behave as monodentate sulphur donors, the 12 complexes showing atrans geometry except for [PtCl2(DhMetH)2], which is probably a mixture ofcis andtrans isomers.  相似文献

A new series of cycloplatinated (II) complexes with general formulas of [Pt (bhq)(N3)(P)] [bhq = deprotonated 7,8‐benzo[h]quinoline, P = triphenyl phosphine (PPh3) and methyldiphenyl phosphine], [Pt (bhq)(P^P)]N3 [P^P = 1,1‐bis (diphenylphosphino)methane (dppm) and 1,2‐bis (diphenylphosphino)ethane] and [Pt2(bhq)2(μ‐P^P)(N3)2] [P^P = dppm and 1,2‐bis (diphenylphosphino)acetylene] is reported in this investigation. A combination of azide (N3?) and phosphine (monodentate and bidentate) was used as ancillary ligands to study their influences on the chromophoric cyclometalated ligand. All complexes were characterized by nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. To confirm the presence of the N3? ligand directly connected to the platinum center, complex [Pt (bhq)(N3)(PPh3)] was further characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray crystallography. The photophysical properties of the new products were studied by UV–Vis spectroscopy in CH2Cl2 and photoluminescence spectroscopy in solid state (298 or 77 K) and in solution (77 K). Using density functional theory calculations, it was proved that, in addition to intraligand charge‐transfer (ILCT) and metal‐to‐ligand charge‐transfer (MLCT) transitions, the L′LCT (L′ = N3, L = C^N) electronic transition has a remarkable contribution in low energy bands of the absorption spectra (for complexes [Pt (bhq)(N3)(P)] and [Pt2(bhq)2(μ‐P^P)(N3)2]). It is indicative of the determining role of the N3? ligand in electronic transitions of these complexes, specifically in the low energy region. In this regard, the photoluminescence studies indicated that the emissions in such complexes originate from a mixed 3ILCT/3MLCT (intramolecular) and also from aggregations (intermolecular).  相似文献

A rigorous procedure to evaluate the solubility product constants of very slightly soluble hydrazinedithiocarboxylate complexes is reported, using the competitive effect of EDTA to dissolve the insoluble chelates. A previous knowledge of the stability constants of the soluble complexes involved as well as an accurate control of the pH and concentration of the competitive ligand is required. The solubility products of 2-methylhydrazinedithiocarboxylate and 3,3-dimethylhydrazinedithiocarboxylate complexes with Ni(II), and 3-methyl-3-phenylhydrazinedithiocarboxylate complexes with Ni(II) and Cu(II), have been determined at 25°C and I = 0.01 M from solubility data obtained by atomic absorption measurements. The values determined when the method is applied to the Ni-dimethylglyoxime system are in accordance with those found in the literature, giving confidence on the reliability of the procedure proposed.  相似文献

Abstract

The hydroxo-bridged dinuclear cobalt(II) complexes of the macro-cyclic and macrobicyclic dinucleating ligands OBISDIEN and OBISTREN form thermodynamically stable dioxygen adducts. Although the values of the oxygenation constants of cobalt complexes usually increase with an increase in the number of basic amino groups coordinated to the cobalt centers, these complexes are unusual in that the oxygenation constants of the complex formed from OBISDIEN is about three orders of magnitude higher than the analogous complex formed from OBISTREN. The difference in behavior must be due to differences in steric strain. Since crystal structures are not available, steric effects were estimated by the use of molecular mechanics. By application of the molecular modelling program SYBYL it was determined that the distortions of the cryptand ligand necessary to form the hydroxo-bridged dioxygen complex are much greater and more energetic than those of the macrocyclic ligand. Both ligands were found to form excellent oxygen carriers because of facile oxygenation-deoxygenation reactions of their dinuclear cobalt complexes, and because of almost immeasurably slow metal-centered degradation. Moreover, the ligands were not changed during degradation, so that the oxygen-carrying complexes could be easily regenerated by electrolytic reduction.  相似文献

Two series of mononuclear Ni(II) complexes of the formula (PNP)Ni(dithiolate) where PNP = R2PCH2N(CH3)CH2PR2, R = Et and Ph, have been synthesized containing dithiolate ligands that vary from five- to seven-membered chelate rings. Two series of dinuclear Ni(II) complexes of the formula {[(diphosphine)Ni]2(dithiolate)}(X)2 (X = BF4 or PF6) have been synthesized in which the chelate ring size of the dithiolate and diphosphine ligands have been systematically varied. The structures of the alkylated mononuclear complex, [(PNPEt)Ni(SC2H4SMe)]OTf, and the dinuclear complex, [(dppeNi)2(SC3H6S)](BF4)2, have been determined by X-ray diffraction studies. The complexes have been studied by cyclic voltammetry to determine how the half-wave potentials of the Ni(II/I) couples vary with chelate ring size of the ligands. For the mononuclear complexes, this potential becomes more positive as the natural bite angle of the dithiolate ligand increases. However, the potentials of the Ni(II/I) couples of the dinuclear complexes do not show a dependence on the chelate ring size of the ligands. Other aspects of the reduction chemistry of these complexes have been explored.  相似文献

The imidazolate-bridged homodinuclear Cu(II)-Cu(II) complex, [(CuimCu)L]ClO(4).0.5H(2)O (1), and heterodinuclear Cu(II)-Zn(II) complex, [(CuimZnL(-)(2H))(CuimZnL(-)(H))](ClO(4))(3) (2), of a single macrocyclic ligand with two hydroxyethyl pendants, L (L = 3,6,9,16,19,22-hexaaza-6,19-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)tricyclo[22,2,2,2(11,14)]triaconta-1,11,13,24,27,29-hexaene), have been synthesized as possible models for copper-zinc superoxide dismutase (Cu(2),Zn(2)-SOD). Their crystal structures analyzed by X-ray diffraction methods have shown that the structures of the two complexes are markedly different. Complex 1 crystallizes in the orthorhombic system, containing an imidazolate-bridged dicopper(II) [Cu-im-Cu](3+) core, in which the two copper(II) ions are pentacoordinated by virtue of an N4O environment with a Cu.Cu distance of 5.999(2) A, adopting the geometry of distorted trigonal bipyramid and tetragonal pyramid, respectively. Complex 2 crystallizes in the triclinic system, containing two similar Cu-im-Zn cores in the asymmetric unit, in which both the Cu(II) and Zn(II) ions are pentacoordinated in a distorted trigonal bipyramid geometry, with the Cu.Zn distance of 5.950(1)/5.939(1) A, respectively. Interestingly, the macrocyclic ligand with two arms possesses a chairlike (anti) conformation in complex 1, but a boatlike (syn) conformation in complex 2. Magnetic measurements and ESR spectroscopy of complex 1 have revealed the presence of an antiferromagnetic exchange interaction between the two Cu(II) ions. The ESR spectrum of the Cu(II)-Zn(II) heterodinuclear complex 2 displayed a typical signal for mononuclear trigonal bipyramidal Cu(II) complexes. From pH-dependent ESR and electronic spectroscopic studies, the imidazolate bridges in the two complexes have been found to be stable over broad pH ranges. The cyclic voltammograms of the two complexes have been investigated. Both of the two complexes can catalyze the dismutation of superoxide and show rather high activity.  相似文献

Reactions of [Tp*Rh(coe)(MeCN)](; Tp*= HB(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-yl)(3); coe = cyclooctene) with one equiv. of the organic disulfides, PhSSPh, TolSSTol (Tol = 4-MeC(6)H(4)), PySSPy (Py = 2-pyridyl), and tetraethylthiuram disulfide in THF at room temperature afforded the mononuclear Rh(III) complexes [Tp*Rh(SPh)(2)(MeCN)](3a), [Tp*Rh(STol)(2)(MeCN)](3b), [Tp*Rh(eta(2)-SPy)(eta(1)-SPy)](6), and [Tp*Rh(eta(2)-S(2)CNEt(2))(eta(1)-S(2)CNEt(2))](7), respectively, via the oxidative addition of the organic disulfides to the Rh(I) center in 1. For the Tp analogue [TpRh(coe)(MeCN)](2, Tp = HB(pyrazol-1-yl)(3)), the reaction with TolSSTol proceeded similarly to give the bis(thiolato) complex [TpRh(STol)(2)(MeCN)](4) as a major product but the dinuclear complex [[TpRh(STol)](2)(micro-STol)(2)](5) was also obtained in low yield. Complex 3 was treated further with the Rh(III) or Ir(III) complexes [(Cp*MCl)(2)(micro-Cl)(2)](Cp*=eta(5)-C(5)Me(5)) in THF at room temperature, yielding the thiolato-bridged dinuclear complexes [Tp*RhCl(micro-SPh)(2)MCp*Cl](8a: M = Rh, 8b: M = Ir). Dirhodium complex [TpRhCl(micro-STol)(2)RhCp*Cl](9) was obtained similarly from 4 and [(Cp*RhCl)(2)(micro-Cl)(2)]. Anion metathesis of 8a proceeds only at the Rh atom with the Cp* ligand to yield [Tp*RhCl(micro-SPh)(2)RhCp*(MeCN)][PF(6)](10), when treated with excess KPF(6) in CH(2)Cl(2)-MeCN. The X-ray analyses have been undertaken to determine the detailed structures of 3b, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8a, 9, and 10.  相似文献

The mononuclear complex [Cu(L)]+ performs the ortho-oxygenation of an exogeneous phenol through the formation of a dinuclear mu-eta2:eta2-peroxodicopper(II) intermediate, which is so far the only type of copper-dioxygen complex that mediates the tyrosinase monophenolase reaction.  相似文献

When the ligand 1,4,5-triazanaphthalene (abbreviated as tan) is reacted with Cu(II) BF(4)(-) and ClO(4)(-) salts, a variety of mononuclear compounds has been found, all with the [Cu(tan)(4)] unit and varying amounts of weakly coordinating axial ligands and lattice solvents. Reproducible compounds formed include two purple compounds, analyzing as [Cu(tan)(4)](ClO(4))(2)(CH(3)OH)(2)(H(2)O) (1) and [Cu(tan)(4)](BF(4))(2)(CH(3)OH)(1.5)(H(2)O) (3), and two blue compounds, analyzing as [Cu(tan)(4)](ClO(4))(2)(H(2)O)(2) (2) and [Cu(tan)(4)](2)(BF(4))(2)(H(2)O)(2) (4). Upon standing at room temperature, red-coloured, mixed-valence dinuclear-based 3D coordination polymers are formed by conversion of the purple/blue products, of which [Cu(2)(tan)(4)](n)(BF(4))(3n) (5) and the isomorphic methanol-water adduct [Cu(tan)(4)](n)(BF(4))(3n)(CH(3)OH)(n)(H(2)O)(5n) (5A) are presented in this paper. In addition a fully reduced dinuclear Cu(I) compound of formula [Cu(2)(tan)(3)(ClO(4))(2)] (7) has been observed, and structurally characterized, as a rare three-blade propeller structure, with a Cu-Cu distance of 2.504 ?.  相似文献

Substitution reactions of the dinuclear Pt(II) complexes, [{Pt(en)Cl}2(μ-pz)]2+ (1), [{Pt(dach)Cl}2(μ-pz)]2+ (2) and [{Pt(dach)Cl}2(μ-4,4?-bipy)]2+ (3), and corresponding aqua analogs with selected biologically important ligands, viz. 1,2,4-triazole, L-histidine (L-His) and guanosine-5?-monophosphate (5?-GMP) were studied under pseudo-first-order conditions as a function of concentration and temperature using UV–vis spectrophotometry. The reactions of the chloride complexes were followed in aqueous 25 mmol L?1 Hepes buffer in the presence of 40 mmol L?1 NaCl at pH 7.2, whereas the reactions of the aqua complexes were studied at pH 2.5. Two consecutive reaction steps, which both depend on the nucleophile concentration, were observed in all cases. The second-order rate constants for both reaction steps indicate a decrease in the order 1 > 2 > 3 for all complexes. Also, the pKa values of all three aqua complexes were determined. The order of the reactivity of the studied ligands is 1,2,4-triazole > L-His > 5?-GMP. 1H NMR spectroscopy and HPLC were used to follow the substitution of chloride in the dichloride 1, 2, and 3 complexes by guanosine-5?-monophosphate (5?-GMP). This study shows that the inert and bridging ligands have an important influence on the reactivity of the studied complexes.  相似文献

A novel, and quite general, approach for the preparation of tris(heteroleptic) ruthenium(II) complexes is reported. Using this method, which is based on photosubstitution of carbonyl ligands in precursors such as [Ru(bpy)(CO)(2)Cl(2)] and [Ru(bpy)(Me(2)bpy)(CO)(2)](PF(6))(2), mononuclear and dinuclear Ru(II) tris(heteroleptic) polypyridyl complexes containing the bridging ligands 3,5-bis(pyridin-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazole (Hbpt) and 3,5-bis(pyrazin-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazole (Hbpzt) have been prepared. The complexes obtained were purified by column chromatography and characterized by HPLC, mass spectrometry, 1H NMR, absorption and emission spectroscopy and by electrochemical methods. The X-ray structures of the compounds [Ru(bpy)(Me(2)bpy)(bpt)](PF(6))x0.5C(4)H(10)O [1x0.5C(4)H(10)O], [Ru(bpy)(Me(2)bpy)(bpzt)](PF(6))xH(2)O (2xH(2)O) and [Ru(bpy)(Me(2)bpy)(CH(3)CN)(2)](PF(6))(2)xC(4)H(10)O (6xC(4)H(10)O) are reported. The synthesis and characterisation of the dinuclear analogues of 1 and 2, [{Ru(bpy)(Me(2)bpy)}(2)bpt](PF(6))(3)x2H(2)O (3) and [{Ru(bpy)(Me(2)bpy)}(2)bpzt](PF(6))(3) (4), are also described.  相似文献

We prepared and characterized dinuclear copper(II) and mononuclear palladium(II) complexes coordinated with a pyridine-based open-shell ligand, 5-(4′,4′,5′,5′-tetramethylimidazoline-3′-oxide-1′-oxyl)-2(1H)-pyridone (=HL). In the copper(II) dinuclear complex [Cu2(L)4(DMF)2] (1), four deprotonated ligands are coordinated as bridging ligands to form a paddle-wheel type unit. In the palladium(II) complex trans-[PdCl2(HL)2] (2), two HL ligands in the neutral hydroxypyridine form are coordinated to the trans positions of the metal ion via the nitrogen atoms. The hydroxyl groups of the ligands are hydrogen-bonded to the chlorine atoms of neighboring molecules, thereby creating a hydrogen-bonded double-chain molecular arrangement. Magnetic susceptibilities of these complexes were measured and analyzed. The small intramolecular antiferromagnetic interaction in the latter complex may originate from superexchange through the diamagnetic metal center.  相似文献
