4 gas laser with an intracavity absorbing cell is studied experimentally and theoretically at a modulation frequency approximately equal to the intermode beat frequency. It is revealed that in the vicinity of the absorption-line centre the intensity of every mode for certain system parameters displays resonance structures narrower than the homogeneous line width of the absorption line. This occurs when the range of mode synchronization is near the absorption-line centre and its size is less than the homogeneous width of the absorption line. The optical feedback characteristics in a short cavity dual modes HeNe laser are studied under different modes strength condition. Modes competition can be obviously observed during optical feedback. The whole laser intensity curve has intensity branches and its leaning direction is related to the moving direction of the external feedback mirror. There are two cross points at different voltage levels between the two orthogonally polarized lights in a period of the optical feedback fringe and the order that the cross points come out is different when the feedback mirror moves at different direction which can be used for direction discrimination. Sometimes there are two peaks of the same size in a period of the optical feedback curve which can be used to improve the resolution of an optical feedback system.  相似文献

Multigigabit-per-second true time delay (TTD) was experimentally demonstrated by use of optical coherent transient techniques in a Tm(3+):YAG crystal. A delay accuracy of 1 ps and a delay resolution of 7 ps (both measurement limited) were achieved. The retrieved data retained good fidelity.  相似文献

In this paper we report the first demonstration of all-optical time demultiplexing at 250 Gb / s with self-clocking using polarization multiplexing of the clock and data. To achieve such high speed, an ultra high-speed device known as the Teruhertz Optical Asymmetric Demultiplexer (TOAD) is used. We also demonstrate self-clocked address recognition and routing control of a photonic switch at 250 Gb / s. The bit-error rate at the switch output was measured to be less than 10 -9.  相似文献

We present the operation of an optical device that exhibits diodelike properties based on two adjacent layers of quantum dots (QDs) encased in a fiber-optic jacket. The possibility of a multilayered device is also discussed. A significant change in the emission spectrum of CdSe/ZnS core-shell QDs was observed when excited by the input laser and the fluorescence of other CdSe/ZnS core-shell QDs. The output of the diode can be taken to be either the incoming laser wavelength of light similar to a conventional diode, or the output may be considered to be one of the QD fluorescence wavelengths. Current work has applications in biological fluorescence monitors and sensors as well as in telecommunications applications.  相似文献

 在CH4/H2和CH4/He和CH4/He两种系统中,利用光学发射谱技术对螺旋波放电产生低压甲烷等离子体内活性粒子的光学发射特征进行了原位诊断。在实验中,两种体系下同时都测得的主要荷电粒子为CH,Ha,Hb,Hg以及H2等。研究了各实验参数对这些活性粒子CH, Ha,Hb以及Hg的发射光谱强度的影响。结果表明:在CH4/H2体系下,随着射频功率的增大,Ha,Hb,Hg以及CH基团的相对强度都随着增加,而当放电气压变化时它们都呈现先增大而后减小的趋势。在CH4/He体系下,随射频功率的增加,Ha,Hb,Hg以及CH相对强度变化的总体趋势也都是先增加而后减小,当工作气压增加时,Ha,Hb以及Hg的相对强度变化也是呈现先增大而后减小,但CH基团的相对强度却是逐渐减小的;这些结果为等离子体沉积各种薄膜过程的理解及制备工艺参数的调整提供了参考。  相似文献

A portable near-infrared (NIR) CH4 detection sensor based on a distributed feedback (DFB) laser modulated at 1.654 μm is experimentally demonstrated. Intelligent temperature controller with an accuracy of −0.07 to +0.09 °C as well as a scan and modulation module generating saw-wave and cosine-wave signals are developed to drive the DFB laser, and a cost effective lock-in amplifier used to extract the second harmonic signal is integrated. Thorough experiments are carried out to obtain detection performances, including detection range, accuracy, stability and the minimum detection limit (MDL). Measurement results show that the absolute detection error relative to the standard value is less than 7% within the range of 0–100%, and the MDL is estimated to be about 11 ppm under an absorption length of 0.2 m and a noise level of 2 mVpp. Twenty-four hours monitoring on two gas samples (0.1% and 20%) indicates that the absolute errors are less than 7% and 2.5%, respectively, suggesting good long term stability. The sensor reveals competitive characteristics compared with other reported portable or handheld sensors. The developed sensor can also be used for the detection of other gases by adopting other DFB lasers with different center-wavelength using the same hardware and slightly modified software.  相似文献

We propose and demonstrate a directed optical logic circuit that performs the encoding function from a 4 bit electrical signal to a 2 bit optical signal based on cascaded microring switches. The four logic input signals control the states of the switches, while the two logic outputs are given by the optical power at the output waveguides. For proof of concept, a thermo-optic switching effect is used with an operation speed of 10 kbps.  相似文献

We report the observation of a higher-order frequency shift due to the trapping field in a (87)Sr optical lattice clock. We show that, at the magic wavelength of the lattice, where the first-order term cancels, the higher-order shift will not constitute a limitation to the fractional accuracy of the clock at a level of 10(-18). This result is achieved by operating the clock at very high trapping intensity up to 400 kW/cm(2) and by a specific study of the effect of the two two-photon transitions near the magic wavelength.  相似文献

利用强度标定的发射光谱法,研究了感应耦合CF4/CH4等离子体中空间基团的相对密度随宏观条件(射频输入功率、气压和流量比)的变化情况.研究表明:在所研究的碳氟/碳氢混合气体放电等离子体中除了具有丰富的CF,CF2,CH,H和F等活性基团外,还同时存在着C2基团,其相对密度随着放电功率的提高而增加;随着气压的上升呈现倒"U"型的变化.C2随流量比R(R=[CH4]/{[CH4]+[CF4]})的变化不是单调的,其相对密度在R=7.5%时存在一个极大值,并随着R进一步增加而减弱,然后趋于一个稳定值.根据各基团相对密度的变化规律,认为等离子体中CF和CH基团的气相反应(CF+CH→C2+HF)是C2基团产生的主要途径,并提出了形成C2的基团碰撞的活化反应模型,据此进行的模拟计算的结果与实验相符.  相似文献

87Sr原子存在核自旋,在磁场作用下原子能级会分裂成不同塞曼子能级.通过光抽运对原子进行自旋极化,其自旋极化谱线的探测为锶光钟系统的闭环锁定提供精确的频率参考.本文对~(87)Sr原子钟跃迁能级5s~2~1S_0→5s5p~3P_0中的m_F=+9/2和m_F=-9/2的塞曼磁子能级自旋极化谱线进行了探测.经过一级宽带冷却和二级窄线宽冷却与俘获后,锶冷原子温度为3.9μK,原子数目为3.5×10~6.利用邻近"魔术波长"的813.426 nm半导体激光光源实现水平方向的一维光晶格装载.采用归一化探测方法用线宽为Hz量级的698 nm钟激光对~1S_0→~3P_0偶极禁戒跃迁进行探测,在150 ms的探测时间下获得线宽为6.7 Hz的钟跃迁简并谱.在磁光阱竖直方向施加一个300 mGs的偏置磁场获得塞曼分裂谱,并通过689 nm的圆偏振自旋极化光进行光抽运,最终在探测时间为150 ms时,获得左右旋极化谱线线宽分别为6.2 Hz和6.8 Hz.  相似文献

This paper demonstrates the intensity modulation characters of orthogonally polarized HeNe lasers with different optical feedback level generated by the variable reflectivity of external reflector. The modulation depths of the orthogonally polarized frequencies are increased when the optical feedback level becomes strong. It also observes that the modulation amplitudes are different for different external cavity length. Based on the vectorial extension of Lamb's semi-classical theory, it finds that the calculations are consistent with the experimental results.  相似文献

Graphite carbon nitride(g-C_3N_4) attracts wide-ranging research interest due to its extraordinary physicochemical properties and promising applications ranging from heterogeneous catalysis to fuel cells. In this work, we design different g-C_3N_4-based quantum dots(g CNQDs), carry out a systematic study of optical properties, and elucidate the shape selectivity, composite nanostructure, and outfield effect. In particular, composites of g CNQDs and metal nanochains present excellent optical response, making it applicable to bioimaging, nano-plasma devices, and metalloenzyme in infrared light related fields. Besides, QDs which original bridging nitrogen atoms are replaced by amino(–NH_2), hydroxyl(–OH),and methyl(–CH_3) functional groups respectively, have excellent spectral selectivity in the deep ultraviolet region. More interestingly, in the study of the laser interaction with materials, the g CNQDs exhibit extremely high stability and light corrosion resistance. Phase transition from insulation to metal is observed under the critical condition of about 5 e V intensity or 337 nm wavelength. All provided theoretical support for designs and applications in g-C_3N_4 quantum devices.  相似文献

Coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (CARS) spectroscopy has been used to investigate cryogenic liquid oxygen/gaseous methane (LOX/CH4) flames on a medium‐size test facility at a pressure of 0.24 MPa and mass flow of 0.025 kg/s. Single‐shot, broadband CARS spectra with simultaneous detection of the Q‐branches of hydrogen and water molecules were recorded with good signal‐to‐noise ratio. Temperature was deduced from the H2 and H2O CARS profiles. The spatial temperature distribution in a comparatively harsh environment has been measured successfully. The measurements took place in the windowed combustion chamber of the DLR M3 test facility, aiming to provide data for validation of rocket combustor modeling. The use of a low finesse enhancement cavity resonant with a low average power (<1 W) and a high repetition rate (78 MHz) pump source is shown to achieve 55% conversion efficiency into signal and idler from the coupled pump in an optical parametric process, whereas an equivalent amount of pump power in a single-pass configuration leads to negligible conversion. Careful comparison of the intracavity conversion process to the single-pass case is performed to assess the underlying impedance matching that yields the high conversion results.  相似文献

We propose a simple optical preprocessing for optical clock recovery using a fiber Bragg grating (FBG) filter. In the proposed scheme, the signal preprocessing is performed by suppressing the carrier component through the FBG filter, and experiment shows that the clock component is larger than about 10 dB compared with other rf components within a distance of from the clock frequency component.  相似文献

A bandwidth-tunable optical passband filter with tunable attenuation is proposed. The filter, composed of a transmission liquid crystal array and high-resolution diffraction grating, was successfully demonstrated based on the compact spatial light design. Experimental results showed that the bandwidth, wavelength, and attenuation could be tuned by controlling the voltage applied on the liquid crystal array. The insertion loss was less than 3 dB;the attenuation tuning range was from 0 to 15 dB. The bandwidth tuning range was from 50 to 5000 GHz, which covered the full C band. The filter can meet the technical requirements of colorless-directionless-contentionlessflexible reconfigurable optical add/drop multiplexer.  相似文献
