Diatomite nanoplatelets were used for in situ random copolymerization of styrene and methyl methacrylate by reverse atom transfer radical polymerization to synthesize different well‐defined nanocomposites. Inherent features of the pristine diatomite nanoplatelets were evaluated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, nitrogen adsorption/desorption isotherm, scanning electron microscope, and transmission electron microscope. Gas and size exclusion chromatography was also used to determine conversion and molecular weight determinations, respectively. Considerable increment in conversion (from 81% to 97%) was achieved by adding 3 wt% diatomite nanoplatelets in the copolymer matrix. Moreover, molecular weight of random copolymer chains was increased from 12 890 to 13 960 g·mol−1 by addition of 3 wt% diatomite nanoplatelets; however, polydispersity index (PDI) values increases from 1.36 to 1.59. Proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy was used to evaluate copolymers composition. Thermal gravimetric analysis results indicate that thermal stability of the nanocomposites is improved by adding diatomite nanoplatelets. Differential scanning calorimetry shows an increase in glass transition temperature from 66°C to 71°C by adding 3 wt% of diatomite nanoplatelets.  相似文献

The influence of TiO2 nanoparticles on the thermal degradation of poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) was investigated by TGA. The studied materials were characterized by Py-GC-MS, TEM, SEM, TGA, DSC and TGA-MS. The PMMA-TiO2 nanocomposites were prepared by melt blending with different (5, 10, 15 and 20 wt% TiO2) loadings. According to TGA results and to the activation energy (determined by the model-free isoconversional method of Vyazovkin), the incorporation of 5 wt% of TiO2 nanoparticles into PMMA stabilizes it by more than 40 °C. However, for higher loading contents, a catalytic effect on the thermal decomposition was observed which increased with the oxide content. The results obtained by Py-GC-MS showed clearly that TiO2 increases the formation of methanol, methacrylic acid and propanoic acid methyl ester during the degradation of PMMA. This catalytic effect could be explained through the interaction of the methoxy group of the methacrylate function with the hydroxyl groups present at the surface of the oxide particles.  相似文献

Dielectric measurements were carried out on aqueous suspensions of poly(methyl methacrylate) microcapsules charged with KCl solutions to examine the KCl permeability of the microcapsules. The specimens exhibited three kinds of dielectric relaxation. Two kinds of dielectric relaxation were observed immediately after washing the specimens with distilled water. These overlapped each other when the specimen was left standing in the measuring cell for a long time. Their relaxation frequencies were affected by the KCl concentration of the suspending medium in which the specimen was kept before washing. Another relaxation was observed distinctly when the spepcimens were washed thoroughly with distilled water. Its relaxation frequency was affected by the KCl concentration of the charged solution. These results were explained by assuming that the specimens were mixtures of KCl-permeable and KCl-impermeable capsules. The theoretical analysis procedure was devised in the light of dielectric theory of interfacial polarization to estimate the parameters which characterize the structure of the specimens.  相似文献

In this study, MMA/BMA copolymer nanoparticles were synthesized in oil-in-water microemulsions that were stabilized by sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) and initiated by potassium persulphate KPS. Maleic acid terminated poly(N-acetylethylenimine) (PNAEI) with two different chain lengths was also included in the recipe, as a cosurfactant and a comonomer. FTIR and 1H-NMR proved incorporation of the macromonomer in the structure. High polymerization yields were achieved upto 98%. The viscosity average molecular weights of the copolymers were in the range of 2.77-5.50 × 105. The glass transition temperatures of these copolymers were between 50.0 and 63.9 °C. The average diameter of nanoparticles were in range of 40-96 nm. It was possible to produce nanoparticles smaller than 100 nm and with narrower size distributions by using much lower concentrations of SDS by including the macromonomers in the microemulsion polymerization recipe.  相似文献

The attempt to prepare structurally well-defined polymer/inorganic composite particles, i.e., poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA)/CaCO3/SiO2 three-component composite particles, via reverse atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP), using 2-2′-azo-bis-isobutyronitrile as initiator and Cu(II) bromide as catalyst was reported. CaCO3/SiO2 two-component composite particles were first obtained through sol–gel method, and their morphology and surface element information were determined by transmission electron microscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, respectively. The results indicate that the CaCO3 was encapsulated by the obtained SiO2. After being modified by silane coupling agent, the CaCO3/SiO2 composite particles copolymerized with methyl methacrylate (MMA) under standard reverse ATRP conditions to produce PMMA/CaCO3/SiO2 three-component composite particles. In the case concerned, first-order kinetic plots and linear increase of molecular weight (Mn) vs conversion and narrow molecular weight distribution for the graft polymer samples were observed. Furthermore, the gel permeation chromatography results illustrated that both the free PMMA chains from the solvent and the graft PMMA chains from the surface of CaCO3/SiO2 two-component composite particles were growing at the same rate. Characterizations of the PMMA-grafted CaCO3/SiO2 composite particles were done by Fourier transform infrared and thermogravimetric analysis. The results showed that the surface of the modified inorganic particles was grafted by the MMA and that the grafting percentage was about 8.7%.  相似文献

Amphiphilic diblock copolymers consisting of 2-(N, N-dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate (DMAEMA, abbreviated as DMA) and stearyl methacrylate (SMA) with different degrees of polymerization and compositions were prepared by reversible addition–fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) copolymerization. The composition and chemical structures of (co)polymers were confirmed by the measurements of 1H NMR spectroscopy and gel permeation chromatography (GPC). The self-aggregating structures of amphiphilic diblock copolymers with the concentration of 0.1~0.3 wt.% in THF/water mixed solvent was investigated by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and dynamic light scattering (DLS). It was found that both the morphologies and aggregating particle size resulted from the amphiphilic diblock copolymers depended on the variation of pH values, the lengths of the hydrophobic PSMA chains, and the weight ratio of THF/water mixed solvent.  相似文献

1H NMR and IR spectroscopies were used to investigate the temperature-induced phase transition behaviour of poly(N-isopropylmethacrylamide-co-sodium methacrylate) [P(IPMAAm/MNa)] copolymers, containing in aqueous solutions negatively charged MNa units (i = 1-10 mol%), and the obtained results were compared with those obtained for poly(N-isopropylmethacrylamide) (PIPMAAm) homopolymer. For PIPMAAm/H2O solution, IR spectra indicate that the transition temperatures for the hydrophilic CO groups are slightly higher (by ∼ 2 K) in comparison with hydrophobic CH3 groups. The decreasing values of phase-separated fraction pmax and the decrescent hysteresis during gradual heating and cooling, both with increasing content of MNa units i in the copolymer, show that for copolymers with i ? 5 mol% the globular-like structures formed at temperatures above the respective LCST are rather porous and disordered with relatively low degree of polymer-polymer hydrogen bonding. While for P(IPMAAm/MNa) copolymers with i ? 5 mol% most water molecules are expelled from globular structures, for i < 5 mol% a certain portion of water (HDO) molecules is rather tightly bound in globular structures; at the same time no releasing process was detected for the bound water even for 90 h.  相似文献

Summary A sensitive, enantioselective high-performance liquid chromatographic method has been developed for the separation and individual quantitative determination of (+)-and (-)-tramadol and (+)- and (-)-O-desmethyltramadol (M1) in plasma and urine. Extraction from plasma and urine was performed by solid-phase extraction (SPE) on disposable butyl silica (100 mg) extraction cartridges. Separation of the enantiomers of tramadol and M1 was achieved on a Chiralpak AD column containing amylose tris-(3,5-dimethylphenylcarbamate) as chiral selector. The mobile phase was isohexane-ethanol-diethylamine, 97:2.8:0.1 (v/v). Quinidine was used as internal standard. The analytes were detected by use of fluorescence detection. The limit of quantification for tramadol and M1 as 5 nM in plasma and 25 nM in urine. Recoveries were approximately 90% for tramadol and M1 in both plasma and urine. Linearity was observed for both enantiomers of tramadol and M1 in both plasma (r 2>0.999) and urine (r 2>0.997). The intra and inter-day precision (CV) did not exceed 6.0%. The applicability of the method was demonstrated by means of two clinical studies—a pharmacokinetic study in which a healthy volunteer received 150 mg tramadol hydrochloride as a single oral dose and a study in which poor and extensive CYP2D6 metabolizers received 50 mg tramadol hydrochloride as a single oral dose.  相似文献

The miktoarm ABC star copolymer with three different branches, polystyrene (PS), poly(1,3‐dioxepane) (PDOP), and poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA), was successfully prepared. PS with two transfer groups, hydroxyl and dithiobenzoate groups [PS‐HECA‐SC(S)Ph], was synthesized by the reaction of a dithiobenzoate group at the end of PS with hydroxyethylene cinnamate (HECA) in tetrahydrofuran solution. Then, the cationic ring‐opening polymerization of 1,3‐dioxepane was initiated by triflic acid in the presence of PS‐HECA‐SC(S)Ph and diblock copolymer, PS‐PDOP, was formed. Finally, the diblock copolymer with the dithiobenzoate group situated between the two blocks was used in the reversible addition–fragmentation transfer (RAFT) process of methyl methacrylate (MMA). A pretreatment-transient reaction product analysis method was applied to study the reactions and average composition of the possible surface intermediate species in selective catalytic reduction with ethylene of NO x over Co-ZSM-5. The reactions of the surface species, formed by the pretreatment of Co-ZSM-5 in a NO/C2H4/O2 mixture at 275°C, with the NO/O2 flow produced much more N2 than that with the individual NO or O2 flow. The similarity of N2/CO x /H2O product distribution generated from the above surface species-NO/O2 reactions and that from the normal NO/C2H4/O2 flow reactions implies that the surface species NC a O b H c formed in the three-component pretreatment process is very likely the primary intermediate surface species generated during the real flow reactions. The in situ FT-IR (DRIFT) spectroscopy measurements of the surface species support the above conclusion.  相似文献

A series of ABA amphiphilic triblock copolymers possessing polystyrene (PS) central hydrophobic blocks, one group with “short” PS blocks (DP = 54–86) and one with “long” PS blocks (DP = 183–204) were synthesized by atom transfer radical polymerization. The outer hydrophilic blocks were various lengths of poly(oligoethylene glycol methyl ether) methacrylate, a comb‐like polymer. The critical aggregation concentrations were recorded for certain block copolymer samples and were found to be in the range circa 10−9 mol L−1 for short PS blocks and circa 10−12 mol L−1 for long PS blocks. Dilute aqueous solutions were analyzed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and demonstrated that the short PS block copolymers formed spherical micelles and the long PS block copolymers formed predominantly spherical micelles with smaller proportions of cylindrical and Y‐branched cylindrical micelles. Dynamic light scattering analysis results agreed with the TEM observations demonstrating variations in micelle size with PS and POEGMA chain length: the hydrodynamic diameters (DH) of the shorter PS block copolymer micelles increased with increasing POEGMA block lengths while maintaining similar PS micellar core diameters (DC); in contrast the values of DH and DC for the longer PS block copolymer micelles decreased. Surface‐pressure isotherms were recorded for two of the samples and these indicated close packing of a short PS block copolymer at the air–water interface. The aggregate solutions were demonstrated to be stable over a 38‐day period with no change in aggregate size or noticeable precipitation. The cloud point temperatures of certain block copolymer aggregate solutions were measured and found to be in the range 76–93 °C; significantly these were ∼11 °C higher in temperature than those of POEGMA homopolymer samples with similar chain lengths. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The synthesis of analogs (8, 12, 14) of two yellow pigments, safflower yellow B and the precursor of carthamin, and carthamin itself, a red pigment, which are produced in safflower (Carthamus tinctrious L.) petals and, which have a common dimeric quinochalcone structure, is reported. The key compound for the synthesis of these analogs, (p-hydroxycinnamoyl)filicinic acid (7) was synthesized in six steps from phloroglucinol in a total yield of 39%, which was reacted with 2,3,4,5,6-penta-O-acetyl-aldehydo-d-glucose, glyoxylic acid, and ethyl orthoformate in the presence of base to afford the corresponding analog, 8, 12, 14, in good yields, respectively. Precursor analog 12 was then converted to carthamin analog 14 by oxidative decarboxylation by treatment with potassium permanganate as well as the natural specimen.  相似文献

Radix Scrophulariae (Xuanshen) is one of the famous Chinese herbal medicines widely used to treat rheumatism, tussis, pharyngalgia, arthritis, constipation, and conjunctival congestion. Harpagoside and cinnamic acid are the main bioactive components of Xuanshen. The purpose of this study was to develop an HPLC–UV method for simultaneous determination of harpagoside and cinnamic acid in rat plasma and investigate pharmacokinetic parameters of harpagoside and cinnamic acid after oral administration of Xuanshen extract (760 mg kg−1). After addition of syringin as internal standard, the analytes were isolated from plasma by liquid–liquid extraction. Separation was achieved on a Kromasil C18 column, and detection was by UV absorption at 272 nm. The described assay was validated in terms of linearity, accuracy, precision, recovery, and limit of quantification according to the FDA validation guidelines. Calibration curves for both analytes were linear with the coefficient of variation (r) for both was greater than 0.999. Accuracy for harpagoside and cinnamic acid ranged from 100.7–103.5% and 96.9–102.9%, respectively, and precision for both analytes were less than 8.5%. The main pharmacokinetic parameters found for harpagoside and cinnamic acid after oral infusion of Xuanshen extract were as follows: C max 1488.7 ± 205.9 and 556.8 ± 94.2 ng mL−1, T max 2.09 ± 0.31 and (1.48 ± 0.14 h, AUC0–24 10336.4 ± 1426.8 and 3653.1 ± 456.4 ng h mL−1, 11276.8 ± 1321.4 and 3704.5 ± 398.8 ng h mL−1, and t 1/2 4.9 ± 1.3 and 2.5 ± 0.9 h, respectively. These results indicated that the proposed method is simple, selective, and feasible for pharmacokinetic study of Radix Scrophulariae extract in rats. Figure Radix Scrophulariae  相似文献

Arsenic is a type 1 carcinogen and its toxicity is critically dependent on chemical speciation. However, after decades of research, the biogenesis of at least fifty naturally occurring arsenic species is still not well understood.Here, based on experimental work, it is proposed a set of pathways for the formation of multiple arsenic species that might help to clarify the present situation.These are focused on the thiol protein arsenic bond and on its interaction with reactive metabolites. In fact, arsenic bound to glutathione interacting with sulfur adenosyl methionine (SAM), MethylCB12 and AdoCB12, forms a number of complexes that might be key intermediates in arsenic biochemistry. These include dimethylarsino glutathione (DMAG) m/z 412 [M + H]+, synthesized non-enzymatically from glutathione and cacodylate. Trimethylarsonio glutathione (TMAG) m/z 426 [M]+ synthesized from DMA, GSH and SAM, apparently by a classical Challenger methylcarbonium attack. Tetramethyl arsonium ion m/z 135 [M]+ is formed in a third step, apparently by carbanion methylation. The presence of trimethylarsine oxide (TMAO) m/z 137 [M + H]+ is attributed to the hydrolysis of TMAG or TMA, or to carbanion methylation of dimethylarsinoyl glutathione (m/z 428 [M]+) formed from cacodylate and GSH. Cantoni type attacks of DMAG on SAM were unsuccessful, eventually due to competition of the trivalent S+ atom of SAM for the AsIII atom attack. The presence of dimethylarsonio diglutathione (DMADG m/z 717 [M]+), is suggested to result from a GS- attack on dimethylarsenoyl glutathione (m/z 428 [M + H]+). The presence of dimethylarsenoyladenosine (m/z 372 [M + H]+), trimethylarsenosugar adenine (m/z 370 [M]+), and dimethylthioarsenosugar adenine (m/z 388 [M + H]+), is explained by the synthesis of the pecursor dimethylarsonio-adenosine glutathione DMAAG (m/z 661 [M]+), a likely source of oxo-and trimethylated arsenosugars, as well as of thio-arsenosugars by the cleavage of its S-C bond. The results gathered suggest that cell vacuoles might play a major role in arsenic metabolism, and that the dominance of oxo-As sugars, in algae extracts, may be supported by a mechanism of synthesis independent of DMAAG (m/z 661).They also offer an explanation for the reason why arsenobetaine, and tetramethylarsonium are loosely bound to biotic tissues. Four arsenic species new to science, to the best of our knowledge, and a number of known arsenic compounds were synthesized in this work, identified by HPLC–ESI-MSn and FTICR–ESI-MS, and suggestions regarding their mechanisms of synthesis were advanced. These results provide a framework for arsenic biochemistry which may explain the origin of a significant part of arsenic known metabolites.  相似文献

Inorganic arsenic (As) displays extreme toxicity and is a class A human carcinogen. It is of interest to both analytical chemists and environmental scientists. Facile and sensitive determination of As and knowledge of the speciation of forms of As in aqueous samples are vitally important. Nearly every nation has relevant official regulations on permissible limits of drinking water As content. The size of the literature on As is therefore formidable. The heart of this review consists of two tables: one is a compilation of principal official documents and major review articles, including the toxicology and chemistry of As. This includes comprehensive official compendia on As speciation, sample treatment, recommended procedures for the determination of As in specific sample matrices with specific analytical instrument(s), procedures for multi-element (including As) speciation and analysis, and prior comprehensive reviews on arsenic analysis. The second table focuses on the recent literature (2005–2013, the coverage for 2013 is incomplete) on As measurement in aqueous matrices. Recent As speciation and analysis methods based on spectrometric and electrochemical methods, inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry, neutron activation analysis and biosensors are summarized. We have deliberately excluded atomic optical spectrometric techniques (atomic absorption, atomic fluorescence, inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometry) not because they are not important (in fact the majority of arsenic determinations are possibly carried out by one of these techniques) but because these methods are sufficiently mature and little meaningful innovation has been made beyond what is in the officially prescribed compendia (which are included) and recent reviews are available.  相似文献

Light driven reactions are perpetual tools for environment sustainability. As an external trigger, most of the photon driven reactions are stereoselective, precise, efficient and offer temporal control for biomolecules. The photoinduced reactions are key to unique molecular transformations that include click and unclick reactions. Since 2003, there has been an exponential rise research papers citing light driven reactions. This review considers the light promoted development and modification of reactions that fall under the criteria of ‘Click’ series of transformations. The review lays emphasis on the light induced biochemical, carbohydrate modification, surface labelling, bioconjugation, polymer modification, dendrimer synthesis, [4 + 2] and [2 + 2] reaction, thiol–ene/yne coupling, Cu assisted cycloaddition, strain-promoted azide alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC), nitro photoclick and photounclick reactions published in last one and half decade. This series of photoclick reactions use short wavelength radiations and are instant, clean, and near to perfect for transforming reactants to the desirable products.  相似文献
