Universal Plane Curve and Moduli Spaces of 1-dimensional Coherent Sheaves

We show that the universal plane curve M of fixed degree d ≥ 3 can be seen as a closed subvariety in a certain Simpson moduli space of 1-dimensional sheaves on ?₂ contained in the stable locus. The universal singular locus of M coincides with the subvariety M′ of M consisting of sheaves that are not locally free on their support. It turns out that the blow up Bl _M′ M may be naturally seen as a compactification of M _B  = M?M′ by vector bundles (on support).

Duality in Vector Optimization in Banach Spaces with Generalized Convexity

We consider a vector optimization problem with functions defined on Banach spaces. A few sufficient optimality conditions are given and some results on duality are proved.     

Moduli Spaces of Maslov Complex Germs

Maslov complex germs (complex vector bundles, satisfying certain additional conditions, over isotropic submanifolds of the phase space) are one of the central objects in the theory of semiclassical quantization. To these bundles one assigns spectral series (quasimodes) of partial differential operators. We describe the moduli spaces of Maslov complex germs over a point and a closed trajectory and find the moduli of complex germs generated by a given symplectic connection over an invariant torus.     

Higher-Order Duality in Nondifferentiable Multiobjective Programming

A new generalized class of higher-order (F, α, ρ, d)–type I functions is introduced, and a general Mond–Weir type higher-order dual is formulated for a nondifferentiable multiobjective programming problem. Based on the concepts introduced, various higher-order duality results are established. At the end, some special cases are also discussed.     

Flag Hilbert schemes and moduli spaces of torsion plane sheaves

We find certain relations between flag Hilbert schemes of points on plane curves and moduli spaces of one-dimensional plane sheaves. We show that some of these moduli spaces are stably rational.     

On the Motive of Moduli Spaces of Rank Two Vector Bundles over a Curve

We study the motive of the moduli spaces of rank two vector bundles on a curve. In the smooth case we obtain the Hodge numbers, intermediate Jacobians and number of points over a finite field as corollaries. In the singular case our computations yield the Poincaré–Hodge polynomial of Seshadri's smooth model.     

Trace Functionals on Noncommutative Deformations of Moduli Spaces of Flat Connections

We describe an efficient construction of a canonical noncommutative deformation of the algebraic functions on the moduli spaces of flat connections on a Riemann surface. The resulting algebra is a variant of the quantum moduli algebra introduced by Alekseev, Grosse, and Schomerus and Buffenoir and Roche. We construct a natural trace functional on this algebra and show that it is related to the canonical trace in the formal index theory of Fedosov and Nest and Tsygan via Verlinde's formula.     

Topological Structures in Colombeau Algebras: Topological $\widetilde{\mathbb{C}}$ -modules and Duality Theory

We study modules over the ring of complex generalized numbers from a topological point of view, introducing the notions of -linear topology and locally convex -linear topology. In this context particular attention is given to completeness, continuity of -linear maps and elements of duality theory for topological -modules. Optimality Conditions and Duality for a Class of Nonlinear Fractional Programming Problems

In this paper, we present sufficient optimality conditions and duality results for a class of nonlinear fractional programming problems. Our results are based on the properties of sublinear functionals and generalized convex functions.

On Duality in Spaces of Solutions to Elliptic Systems

Suppose that D is a bounded domain in (n2) with connected real-analytic boundary, A is an elliptic system with real-analytic coefficients in a neighborhood of the closure of D, and sol(A,D) is the space of solutions to the system Au=0 in D furnished with the standard Frechet–Schwartz topology. Then the dual of sol(A,D) represents the space sol(A, ) of solutions to the system Au=0 in a neighborhood of furnished with the standard inductive limit topology over some decreasing net of neighborhoods of . The corresponding pairing is generated by the inner product in the Lebesgue space L ²(D).     

On Duality for a Class of Quasiconcave Multiplicative Programs

Multiplicative programs are a difficult class of nonconvex programs that have received increasing attention because of their many applications. However, given their nonconvex nature, few theoretical results are available. In this paper, we study a particular case of these programs which involves the maximization of a quasiconcave function over a linear constraint set. Using results from conjugate function theory and generalized geometric programming, we derive a complete duality theory. The results are further specialized to linear multiplicative programming.     

Harmonic Maps into the Moduli Spaces of Flat Connections

It is proved in this paper that, under reasonable assumptions, for each given harmonic map into the moduli spaces of flat connections, there exists one corresponding smooth family of Yang–Mills solutions approaching to the given harmonic map as the parameter tends to zero.     

Moduli Spaces of Stable Polygons and Symplectic Structures on\overline {\mathcal{M}} _{0,n}

In this paper, certain natural and elementary polygonal objects in Euclidean space, the stable polygons, are introduced, and the novel moduli spaces of stable polygons are constructed as complex analytic spaces. Quite unexpectedly, these new moduli spaces are shown to be projective and isomorphic to the moduli space of the Deligne–Mumford stable curves of genus 0. Further, built into the structures of stable polygons are some natural data giving rise to a family of (classes of) symplectic (Kähler) forms. This, via the link to , brings up a new tool to study the Kähler topology of . A wild but precise conjecture on the shape of the Kähler cone of is given in the end.

Lagrangian Duality for Minimization of Nonconvex Multifunctions

Two alternative type theorems for nearly convexlike or * quasiconvex multifunctions are presented. They are used to derive Lagrangian conditions and duality results for vector optimization problems when the objectives and the constraints are nearly convexlike or * quasiconvex multifunctions.
