高功率窄线宽光纤激光器在非线性频率转换、光谱合成以及相干合成等领域有着重要的应用前景。本文基于自研的复合腔结构窄线宽振荡器作为种子,采用单级主振荡功率放大技术(MOPA),实现了5 kW高效率的近单模窄谱激光输出。通过优化振荡器的时序特性和放大级结构,受激拉曼散射、光谱展宽和热致模式不稳定效应得到综合抑制。在最高功率时,信号光的3 dB和20 dB线宽分别为0.48 nm和2.1 nm,放大器的斜率效率约为86.1%,拉曼抑制比为28.3 dB,光束质量M2约1.35。本研究工作对于高功率窄线宽光纤激光的发展和研究具有重要的指导意义。  相似文献

基于大模场面积掺镱光纤搭建了全光纤1 030 nm高功率窄线宽光纤激光主振荡功率放大系统,实现了3 004 W的最高功率输出,斜率效率69.27%,是目前报道的输出功率最高的1 030 nm波段近衍射极限光纤激光器。最高输出功率时,x,y方向的光束质量因子分别为1.169,1.174,3 dB光谱宽度为0.18 nm,放大自发辐射抑制比达到37 dB。  相似文献

An optical pumping experiment on the Na atoms of an atomic beam by means of a continuous wave dye laser is described. The atoms interact at two different regions with the laser beam. In the first region the atoms are optically pumped so that a Zeeman coherence in their substates is produced. In the second light beam the coherence is probed. Any changes in the phase of the eigenfunction of the atom through interaction in a magnetic field, or through collisions, or other effects occuring in the light free section can thus be sensitively detected. The possible applications of the set-up are discussed.  相似文献

基于简单的主振荡功率放大结构,演示了一种高功率窄线宽线性偏振全光纤激光器,其最大输出功率为3.08 kW,3 dB线宽为0.2 nm。在整个功率缩放过程中,偏振消光比约为94%,光束质量M 2约为1.4。这是国内外首次实现3 kW全保偏光纤激光输出,与基于相位调制的窄线宽激光器相比,该激光器可实现近似的线宽,同时具有受激布里渊散射阈值高、系统结构简单、成本低等特点。  相似文献

A passive mode-locked fiber laser-delivered 13?ps pulse is saturatedly amplified with a four-stage amplifier chain. 125?W high power all-fiber picoseconds pulse laser is demonstrated in a 15-??m fiber core, and the optical-to-optical conversion efficiency of the main amplifier is up to 86.12?%. A home-made (6?+?1)?×?1 fiber combiner is used to couple the pump light and signal light into the gain double cladding fiber. In order to suppress the nonlinear effects in high-power picosecond fiber amplifiers, the repetition rate of the seed pulse is increased from 60?MHz to?~1?GHz; also the gain fibers are advisably selected. The amplified output spectrum is symmetrically broadened to several nanometers due to self-phase modulation (SPM). No stimulated Raman scattering (SRS), amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) and residual pump light are observed and the optical signal-to-noise ratio is more than 30?dB. The all-fiber picoseconds MOPA laser in this report can be easily performed with the conventional fiber handing equipments, and it has great potential to be applied as pump source in the fields of optical parametric oscillator, laser frequency-doubling and supercontinuum generation.  相似文献

We demonstrate a 30-W all-fiberized laser in a master oscillator power amplifier(MOPA) structure with a central wavelength of 1 950 nm.The laser is a continuous-wave(CW) operation with double-clad Tm-doped silica fiber pumped by pigtailed laser diodes with a central wavelength of 793 nm.The optical-to-optical efficiency of the MOPA system is 37.5% with respect to the total 80-W pump power.The maximal slope efficiency of the system is approximately 43%,which belongs to the main amplifier and exceeds the Stoke limit.No obvious amplified spontaneous emitting(ASE) is observed in the experiment,and the power can be scaled straightforwardly by improving the pump power.  相似文献

An environmentally stable mode-locked fiber laser based on nonlinear polarization rotation is experimentally demonstrated. The laser is based on a novel laser configuration that has negligible low-power steady-state reflectivity from one side and, consequently, no CW gain. The laser is self starting and the configuration is implementable as an all-fiber laser with standard polarization-maintaining fiber-pigtailed components. A pulse duration of 5.6 ps is obtained at a repetition rate of 5.96 MHz and at an average power of 8 mW. As an application of the proposed laser configuration, 213 mW of supercontinuum (600-1750 nm) was demonstrated from a fiber laser system with no sections of free-space optics.  相似文献

We reported a 30 W average output power 532 nm green laser with 5 ns pulsed duration working at 80–100 kHz generated by a hybrid MOPA system. The hybrid MOPA system consisted of a fiber amplifier and two solid-state amplifiers producing 77 W 1064 nm at pulse repetition rates of 80–100 kHz. The IR-to-green optical conversion efficiency was 44.7% at the working point of 100 kHz. The beam quality of green laser was measured better than M 2 < 1.6 in both orthogonal directions. Nanosecond 532 nm lasers with short pulsed duration could be practicable in silicon-based material processing in the Photovoltaic industry.  相似文献

An all-fiber normal-dispersion mode locked laser is presented. No additional spectral filter components are involved in the cavity. Spectral filtering is achieved through gain narrowing by three segments of gain fibers with different lengths. The performances of the fiber lasers with and without gain narrowing are discussed. A stable mode locked pulse train is observed in the cavity with gain filtering with pulse duration of 72 ps. The gain filtering effect is discussed theoretically.  相似文献

We report on a passively mode-locked all-fiber laser oscillator at 1.5 microm based on heavily doped phosphate-glass active fiber. An active fiber only 20 cm long is sufficient to produce as much as 2.4 W of average output power directly from the oscillator. The width of the mode-locked pulses varies from 8 ps at the lowest output power in the mode-locked state to 44 ps at the highest power. Our picosecond laser oscillator features a high repetition rate of 95 MHz and high peak pulse power of approximately 540 W. The oscillator combines the convenience of all-fiber construction with power performance that was previously achievable only with mode-locked bulk-optic laser oscillators or more complex systems involving fiber amplifiers.  相似文献

A wavelength tunable erbium-doped fiber ring laser with flattened output power spectrum over a broadband is proposed and demonstrated. The power flattening is achieved using a high-birefringence fiber loop mirror, in which a number of high-birefringence fiber sections and polarization controllers are used to get a reflection spectrum that can compensate for the output power spectrum. The wavelength tuning is realized by compressing or stretching the FBGs in the laser cavity. A 1×3 switchable fiber Bragg grating array is incorporated into the fiber ring to get a wideband tuning range of 38 nm, from 1527 to 1565 nm. Within this range, the output power uniformity is controlled within ±0.8 dB. The total output power is about 4 dBm, the 3-dB linewidth is 0.01 nm, and the side mode suppression ratio is more than 48 dB.  相似文献

We present an all-fiber design for a single polarization Yb-doped fiber laser with all-fiber connections spliced. Single polarization with a high extinction ratio was achieved by the design of a laser cavity consisting of a fiber Bragg grating inscribed on a single-polarization fiber as a high reflective mirror and a piece of end-cleaved single-polarization fiber as an output coupler. The fiber laser operates at 1063.25 nm with an output power of 1.7 W, an optical signal- to-noise ratio of 70 dB and a narrow bandwidth of 54 pm. The laser output has a polarization extinction ratio of 700:1 or 28 dB, and a very stable power output.  相似文献

An all-fiber actively Q-switched Yb-doped laser is presented. Q-switching is performed by modulating a fiber Bragg grating via a magnetostrictive rod which is fixed to the fiber at the position of the grating. By exposing the rod to a changing magnetic field, the rod is stretched and relaxed causing the Bragg wavelength of the grating to shift and thereby changes the Q-factor of the cavity. Using Yb-doped fiber, pulses at 1052 nm are obtained at repetition rates from 1 to 200 kHz. At 75 kHz, 0.5 μJ pulses with peak powers of 3 W can be produced when 180 mW of pump power is applied. To the knowledge of the authors, this is the first all-fiber actively Q-switched Yb-doped laser presented to date.  相似文献

An erbium-doped fiber laser (EDFL) constructed in a master oscillator and power amplifier (MOPA) configuration is analyzed. The pump powers for the fiber cavity laser and the booster amplifier stages are managed properly to achieve maximal pump conversion efficiency. Our design achieves a pump conversion efficiency of 91.4%, corresponding to a quantum efficiency of 96.6%, for a 1565.8 nm MOPA laser pumped by a total power of 300 mW at 1480 nm. The optimized MOPA laser shows a 25% enhancement in the pump conversion efficiency, compared to a non-MOPA fiber laser. A side lobe suppression ratio of 48 dB for the optimized MOPA laser is observed.  相似文献

We report an all-fiber pulsed laser with multistage fiber amplifier which was suitable for high power eye-safe free space optical communications. Tapered structure has been utilized between booster and final amplifiers, which could increase the power coupling from the former fiber into the core of the latter fiber, and the beam quality of the output laser could be improved simultaneously. A maximum output power over 6 W has been achieved from the master-oscillator-power-amplifier system. With the multi-stage configuration and forward pumping, the optical signal to noise ratio was measured to be better than 50 dB.  相似文献
