提出应用级联倍频方法提高倍频系统输出稳定性,并就该方法的有效性进行了理论分析和模拟计算.分析和计算结果不但证明级联倍频方法能实现倍频系统稳定输出,而且还表明可以通过仔细调节第一块倍频晶体中波矢方向 k 与光轴间夹角、两块倍频晶体间的间隔,能调节改变实现倍频系统最稳输出时所需第二块晶体的理论计算长度,使之与第二块倍频晶体的实际加工长度一致,最终实现系统稳定倍频输出.级联倍频方法在实现高输出稳定性的同时能实现高的倍频转换效率,对应用于光参量啁啾脉冲放大系统的高稳定抽运源系统的设计建造具有重要参考意义. 关键词: 级联倍频 稳定倍频输出 光参量啁啾脉冲放大  相似文献

This work designs a four-platelet periodic multicrystal configuration in the second harmonic generation of ultra-short pulses as a new walk-off-compensating device. It theoretically investigates a proposed active and a typical passive compensating scheme with the undepleted-pump approximation. The result shows that the angular and spectral band-widths are proportional to the number of crystal pairs as expected,but the temperature tunability is basically unaltered owing to inter-plate pulse interference. At the same time,an analysis reveals that a misuse of the phase mismatch factor is responsible for a historic controversy about pulse interference. A real design of an ultraviolet second harmonic generation (262.5 nm) is considered in a passive periodic β-Barium Borate-calcite configuration,where the inter-plate pulse interference is found to form an azimuthal tuning restriction and to lower plate length tolerance. A subsequent numerical simulation with pump depletion is in good accordance with theoretical prediction.  相似文献

Single frequency, second harmonic radiation has been generated continuously in sodium vapour using resonant enhancement provided by the two photon transition 3S-4D at 578.7 nm, and a transverse magnetic field to remove the isotropy of the vapour. Phase matching and linewidth effects have been studied. The generation profile of the vapour is shown to be Doppler limited.  相似文献

Generation of a fifth harmonic by the cascading of two phase-matched third-order processes in a single centrosymmetric nonlinear medium with a focused fundamental beam is investigated theoretically. With the help of analytical and numerical investigations the optimized conditions for maximum conversion into the fifth harmonic are found. In general the optimal position of focusing depends on the values of the mismatches k1 and k2 for both steps of the third order cascading (++=3; 3++=5). It is shown that for best efficiency this method of fifth harmonic generation requires specially chosen k1,opt and k2,opt and focusing in the center of the nonlinear media. If the phase matching parameters are fixed and they deviate from the optimal values, then the optimal strength of focusing and position of the focus spot should be calculated according to the analysis presented here. We consider nonlinear optical processes in a cavity maintained far from thermal equilibrium by external pumping. In second harmonic generation we predict a hard mode instability at a critical pump strength indicating the existence of undamped spiking similar to that in strongly pumped lasers. In subharmonic generation above the soft mode transition noted by Graham we predict the appearance of sidebands in the subharmonic spectrum.  相似文献

This paper reports experimental and analytical results on optical second harmonic generation when a noncollinear arrangement is employed. The dependence of second harmonic power on crystal length, absorption, beam radius and the angle between the two fundamental waves is obtained. Double refraction of the crystal is taken into account, but the divergence and depletion of the fundamental waves are neglected. The results of the calculations are confirmed by experiments carried out with a KDP crystal in the near field of two intersecting TEM00 ruby laser beams.An extension of the theory to nonlinear interactions other than second harmonic generation - e.g. four-wave interaction - is possible.  相似文献

Efficient second harmonic generation at 0.532 μ has been achieved in a temperature tuned CDA crystal when a narrow beam divergence Nd:YAG laser was used. At a crystal temperature of 40.3°C, a peak second harmonic power of 7.5 MW was obtained with a peak power conversion efficiency of 33%. The temperature variation of the refractive indices in CDA has been determined to be d(ne2ω?n0ω)/dT = 7.2 × 10?5°C?1.  相似文献

Based on the transverse second-harmonic generation(TSHG) effect, we demonstrate a method for in-situ modal inspection of nonlinear micro/nanowaveguides. Pumping lights are equally split and coupled into two ends of a single Cd S nanobelt(NB). As pumping light counter-propagates along the NB, transverse second-harmonic(TSH) interference patterns are observed. The influence of multimode interaction on the TSHG effect is discussed in detail. Using fast Fourier transform,TSH interference patterns are analyzed, indicating the existence of at least four modes inside the NB. Experimental beat lengths are found to be in agreement with calculated results.  相似文献

Second harmonic generation was observed in ammonium tartrate single crystals by a phase matching technique at the fundamental wavelength 1.153 μm. Second harmonic generation in ammonium malate has been investigated in a wavelength region between 492 nm (short wavelength limit of the harmonic beam at 246 nm) and 640 nm. The dependence of intracavity second harmonic generation efficiency on the linear phase detunings in crystal and air is studied both theoretically and experimentally. It is shown that in the presence of feedback at the second harmonic frequency an optimum conversion efficiency can be achieved by a mutually correlated choice of phase mismatch in a nonlinear crystal and the position of the latter inside the cavity.  相似文献

A novel scheme to achieve broadband cascaded third-harmonic generation by use of two-dimensional quasi-phase-matching gratings is proposed. Intrinsic group-velocity mismatch is compensated by the pulse front tilt in noncollinear interaction geometry. The presented scheme enables broadband third-harmonic generation in a single device of long interaction length, which reduces the operation intensity dramatically.  相似文献

Polarization-resolved second harmonic generation (PSHG) imaging microscopy allows one to provide information such as anisotropy parameters and molecule orientation. We analyze the precision of parameter estimation for samples with cylindrical symmetry and a Gaussian additive noise model. Modal phase-matching second harmonic generation in uniformly poled Bragg fiber is theoretically proposed. The very low group velocity of the modes in Bragg fiber near the in-band cutoff frequencies leads to high nonlinear conversion efficiency comparable to that of the periodically poled conversional fiber. The subsequence phase-matched bandwidth reduction by slow light can be retrieved in a certain degree through structure parameters optimization.  相似文献

Self induced second harmonic generation (SHG) accompanying 1.3 μm lasing radiation was first observed in fundamental transverse mode InGaAsP DH lasers. Sum frequency generation by two lasing longitudinal modes was observed, which has a conversion factor of four times greater than that for SHG by a single lasing longitudinal mode and predicts the simultaneous laser oscillation of the several longitudinal modes. The estimated second order nonlinear susceptibility of In0.76Ga0.24As0.55 P0.45 was about 5 × 10-20 in rotationalized MKS unit, which is at least an order of magnitude greater than that of GaAs.  相似文献

Second harmonic generation (SHG) induced by spontaneous magnetization has been investigated for a polar ferromagnetic crystal of GaFeO3. The Kerr rotation of the second harmonic light becomes gigantic with decreasing temperature below the magnetic transition temperature (approximately =205 K), e.g., as large as 73 degrees at 100 K. The magnetic domains can be visualized by using that large nonlinear Kerr rotation. The spectrum of the magnetization-induced SHG as measured indicates the two-photon resonant electronic process on a Fe3+ ion in the crystal.  相似文献
