In this paper, we generalize some corresponding results of [1-4]. We obtain the main results as the following:Theorem 1 Let R be a prime ring of characteristic not 2 with nontrivial derivations d₁,d₂ and let U be a nonzero ideal of R . If C is the center of R, then the following conditions are equivalent : (i)d₁,d₂(x)∈C for all x∈U; (ii) [d₁(x),d₂(y)]∈C for all x,y∈U; (iii) d₁(x)d₂(y)+d₂(x)d₁(y)∈C for all x,y∈U; (iv) R is commutative.Theorem 2 Let R be a prime ring with nontrivial derivations d₁,d₂,…, d_n and U be a nonzero ideal of R. Let C be the center of R. If d₁(x₁)d₂(x₂)…d_n(x_n)∈C for all x₁, x₂…x_n)∈U, then R is commutative.

In the paper we prove by means of inverse limit functor that any module A Over coherent ring R has the minimum FP-injective submodule e_R(A) in E_R(A) which contains A and can be defined as the FP-injective hull of A.

In this paper we give some orthogonal system of rational functions on the unit circumference; We obtained the Riemann Lemma and some tests of convergence of Fourier series for this orthogonal system with the poles {α_k}₀^∞ satisfying some conditions, The conditions we obtained are weaker than those established in [2].

Rings Whose Modules Have Grade Zero

In this paper, we prove that R is a two-sided Artinian ring and J is a right annihilator ideal if and only if (i) for any nonzero right module, there is a nonzero linear map from it to a projective module; (ii) every submodule of RR is not a radical module for some right coherent rings. We call a ring a right X ring if Homa(M, R) = 0 for any right module M implies that M = 0. We can prove some left Goldie and right X rings are right Artinian rings. Moreover we characterize semisimple rings by using X rings. A famous Faith‘s conjecture is whether a semipimary PF ring is a QF ring. Similarly we study the relationship between X rings and QF and get many interesting results.

In this short note we discuss the GM property of some special linear transformation pairs over infinite-dimensional vector spaces. In particular, it is proved that if R = End(VD)is the endomorphism ring of an infinite-dimensional right vector space V over a division ring D with |C(D)| 3 and g ∈ R, then(a0+ a1g, g) is a GM pair for any a0, a1∈ C(D).Furthermore, two existing results are obtained as immediate consequences.     

Automorphism groups of polycyclic-by-finite groups and arithmetic groups

We show that the outer automorphism group of a polycyclic-by-finite group is an arithmetic group. This result follows from a detailed structural analysis of the automorphism groups of such groups. We use an extended version of the theory of the algebraic hull functor initiated by Mostow. We thus make applicable refined methods from the theory of algebraic and arithmetic groups. We also construct examples of polycyclic-by-finite groups which have an automorphism group which does not contain an arithmetic group of finite index. Finally we discuss applications of our results to the groups of homotopy self-equivalences of K(Γ,1)-spaces and obtain an extension of arithmeticity results of Sullivan in rational homotopy theory.     

Automorphism groups of nilpotent groups

We construct a full class of nilpotent groups of class 2 of an arbitrary infinite cardinality . Their centers, commutator subgroups and factors modulo the center will be the same and a homogeneous direct sum of a group of rank 1 or 2. Their automorphism groups will coincide and the factor group modulo the stabilizer could be an arbitrary group of size $\leqq$ .     

Class groups and Brauer groups

LetF be a global field,n a positive integer not divisible by the characteristic ofF. Then there exists a finite extensionE ofF whose class group has a cyclic direct summand of ordern. This theorem, in a slightly stronger form, is applied to determine completely, on the basis of the work of Fein and Schacher, the structure of the Brauer group Br(F()) of the rational function fieldF(t). As a consequence of this, an additional theorem of the above authors, together with a note at the end of the paper, imply that Br(F(t)) ≊ Br(F(t ₁, ···,t _n)), wheret ₁, ···,t _n are algebraically independent overF.     

Abelian groups as autocommutator groups
