Slotted breakwaters have been used to provide economical protection from waves in harbors where surface waves and currents may co-exist. In this paper, the effects of currents on the wave scattering by slotted breakwaters are investigated by using a simple model. The model is based on a long wave approximation. The effects of wave height, barrier geometry and current strength on the reflection and transmission coefficients are examined by the model. The model results are compared with recent experimental data. It is found that both the wave-following and wave-opposing currents can increase the reflection coefficient and reduce the transmission coefficient. The model can be used to study the interaction between long waves and slotted breakwaters in coastal waters. The reflection and transmission of harmonic waves and waves of finite duration through the boundary of the perforated zone of a cased wellbore filled with a fluid are studied. A model of the plane fluid flow in the well (in a quasi-one-dimensional approximation) and filtration absorption of the fluid by the porous medium surrounding the well is proposed. The effect of the quality of the perforation (length of perforation tunnels) on the evolution of the waves reflected from the boundary of the perforated zone of the well is studied.  相似文献

In this paper, the reflection of a plane wave at a traction free boundary of a half -space composed of triclinic crystalline material is considered. It is shown that an incident plane wave generates three plane waves, namely quasi-P (qP), quasi-SV (qSV) and quasi-SH (qSH) waves governed by the propagation condition involving the acoustic tensor. A simple procedure is presented for the calculation of all the three phase velocities of these waves. It is demonstrated that the direction of particle motion is neither parallel nor perpendicular to the direction of propagation. A procedure is established for the calculation of the amplitude vector in terms of the phase velocity, the propagation vector, and the stiffness coefficients of the medium. Closed form solutions are obtained for the reflection coefficients of qP, qSV and qSH waves. Using the parameters of Vosges sandstone exhibiting triclinic symmetry, the graphical representations of the reflection coefficients due to an incident qP wave are given. It is observed that, in triclinic medium, the reflection coefficients are significantly different from those in an isotropic medium.  相似文献

基于能够描述爆炸地震波的非平稳随机过程模型进行爆炸地震波的模拟研究。基于爆炸地震能量守恒以及经验关系,提出了能够考虑装药量和爆距影响的爆炸地震波功率谱密度和幅值包络线模型,并且利用实测的爆炸试验数据,对模型参数进行标定,给出单点、两点(微差)和多点(微差)爆炸地震波实用模拟方法。结果表明模拟得到的爆炸地震波时程能够很好地再现爆炸地震波的一些特性。  相似文献

The propagation of three-dimensional plane waves at a traction free boundary of a half-space composed of triclinic crystalline material is discussed.A method has been developed to find the analytical expressions of all the three phase velocities of quasi-P (qP),quasi-SV(qSV)and quasi-SH(qSH)in three dimensions.Closed form expressions in three dimensions for the amplitude ratios of reflection coefficients of qP,qSV and qSH waves in a triclinic medium are obtained.These expressions are used for numerically studying the variation of the reflection coefficients with the angle of incidence.The graphs are drawn for different polar angle and azimuth.Numerical results presented indicate that the anisotropy affect the reflection coefficients significantly in the three dimensional case compared to the two-dimensional case.  相似文献

A new method for decreasing the attenuation of a shock wave emerging from an open-ended shock tube exit into a large free space has been developed to improve the shock wave technique for cleaning deposits on the surfaces in industrial equipments by changing the tube exit geometry. Three tube exits (the simple tube exit, a tube exit with ring and a coaxial tube exit) were used to study the propagation processes of the shock waves. The detailed flow features were experimentally investigated by use of a two-dimensional color schlieren method and by pressure measurements. By comparing the results for different tube exits, it is shown that the expansion of the shock waves near the mouth can be restricted by using the tube exit with ring or the coaxial tube exit. Thus, the attenuation of the shock waves is reduced. The time histories of overpressure have illustrated that the best results are obtained for the coaxial tube exit. But the pressure signals for the tube exit with ring showed comparable results with the advantage of a relatively simple geometry. The flow structures of diffracting shock waves have also been simulated by using an upwind finite volume scheme based on a high order extension of Godunov's method as well as an adaptive unstructured triangular mesh refinement/unrefinement algorithm. The reflection and transmission of obliquely incident Rayleight surface waves by an interphase between two quarter spaces of identical or different materials, have been investigated. The mechanical behavior of the interphase is represented by a thin viscoelastic layer. By using the full space Green's functions due to a spatially harmonic line load, the mathematical statement of the 3-dimension problem is reduced to a 2-dimension system of singular integral equations. The far-field behavior of the scattered waves leads to the definition of reflection and transmission coefficients,R andT. The system of the singular integral equations are solved forR andT with the boundary element method. The results are presented for selected values of the elastic constants of the joined quarter spaces, the parameters of the interphase and the incident angles of Rayleigh surface waves.  相似文献

The reflection of detonation waves from slight obstacles, which hardly disturb the wave propagation, is observed by time-resolved schlieren photography. The following stoichiometric mixtures are used: pure and argon-diluted hydrogen-oxygen, hydrogen-air, acetylene-oxygen, and acetylene-air. Initial pressures are varied such that cell widths range from 1.4 up to 108 mm, which is twice the side length of the square cross-section of the tube. The trajectories of the incident and the reflected waves in the x,t-plane are used to determine lower limit values for the wave thickness. The considerable influences of the obstacle shape and of the evaluation method on the results are discussed in detail, and error sources are analyzed. The method has been improved since a previous publication by the authors. The ratio of the lower limit values to the cell width spreads from 0.4 to 0.8 in the medium cell size range. It decreases with increasing marginality and seems to increase at small scale. A unique correlation between the lower limit value and the tube diameter, both referred to the cell size, that was proposed earlier in the literature has to be refused. The velocities of the reflected waves are presented as additional information on the post-detonation wave state. 以Green—Naghdi(G—N)方程为基础,采用波动方程/有限元法计算船舶经过变深度浅水域时非定常波浪特性.把运动船舶对水面的扰动作为移动压强直接加在Green-Naghdi方程里,以描述运动船体和水面的相互作用.以Series60 CB=0.6船为算例,给出自由面坡高,波浪阻力在船舶经过一个水下凸包时变化规律,并与浅水方程的结果进行了比较.计算结果表明,当船舶经过凸包时,波浪阻力先增加,后减少,并逐渐趋于正常.同时发现,当船速小于临界速度时(Fr=√gh<1.0),G—N方程给出的船后尾波比浅水方程的结果明显,波浪阻力也比浅水方程的结果有所提高,频率散射必须考虑.当船速大于临界速度时(Fr=√gh>1.0),G—N方程的计算结果与浅水方程差别不大,频率散射的影响可以忽略.  相似文献

Transport theoretic boundary conditions are derived for acoustic wave reflection and transmission at a rough interface with small random fluctuations. The Wigner distribution is used to go from waves to energy transport in the high frequency limit, and the Born expansion is used to calculate the effect of the random rough surface. The smoothing method is also used to remove the grazing angle singularity due to the Born approximation. The results are presented in a form that is convenient both for theoretical analysis and for numerical computations.  相似文献

The field equations governing the propagation of waves in an incompressible liquid-saturated porous medium are investigated and a general solution is presented. It has been revealed that coupled longitudinal and transverse waves propagate in the porous medium. The propagation of transverse waves in the fluid phase is completely due to the interaction between the solid and fluid phases. The dispersion relationship and attenuation features are discussed. Unlike other investigations, all explicit forms of the arguments are derived. The reflection of the plane harmonic waves at the plane, traction-free boundary, which shows the influence of the dissipation on the velocity, and the attenuation coefficients of the reflected waves is studied. It is of interest that pore pressure is produced in the process of reflection, even in the case of the incidence of transverse waves.  相似文献

The evolution of surface gravity waves is driven by nonlinear interactions that trigger an energy cascade similarly to the one observed in hydrodynamic turbulence. This process, known as wave turbulence, has been found to display anomalous scaling with deviation from classical turbulent predictions due to the emergence of coherent and intermittent structures on the water surface. In the ocean, waves are spread over a wide range of directions, with a consequent attenuation of the nonlinear properties. A laboratory experiment in a large wave facility is presented to discuss the sensitivity of wave turbulence on the directional properties of model wave spectra. Results show that the occurrence of coherent and intermittent structures become less likely with the broadening of the wave directional spreading. There is no evidence, however, that intermittency completely vanishes.  相似文献

The origin of solitary waves on gas-liquid sheared layers is studied by comparing the behavior of the wave field at sufficiently low liquid Reynolds number, RL, where solitary waves are observed to form, to measurements at higher RL where solitary waves do not occur. Observations of the wave field with high-speed video imaging suggest that solitary waves, which appear as a secondary transition of the stratified gas-liquid interface, emanate from existing dominant waves, but that not all dominant waves are transformed. From measurements of interface tracings it is found that for low RL, waves which have amplitude/substrate depth (a/h) ratios of 0.5–1 occur while for higher RL, no such waves are observed. A comparison of amplitude/wavelength ratios shows no distinction for different RL. Consequently, it is conjectured that solitary waves originate from waves with sufficiently large a/h ratios; this change of form being similar to wave breaking. The dimensionless wavenumber is found to be smaller at low RL, where solitary waves are observed. This suggests that perhaps, larger precursor (to solitary wave) waves are possible because the degree of dispersion, which acts to break waves into separate modes, is lower.  相似文献

The reflection and transmission of an incident plane wave at an interface between water and a fluid-saturated double porosity solid are investigated. The properties of the three compressional waves and one shear wave in double porosity media are discussed in detail. The effect of the viscosity, permeability, and porosity on the phase velocity and attenuation of four bulk waves is presented. Comparison between the double porosity theory and the Biot theory reveals that there exists obvious difference in the phase velocity, attenuation and the reflection and transmission coefficients. Two cases of boundary conditions, i.e., the sealed-pore and the open-pore boundaries, are introduced in the numerical calculation. At last, the effect of the fracture permeability and porosity on the reflection and transmission coefficients considered. It is revealed that the amplitudes of the reflected and transmitted waves strongly depend the boundary condition, fracture permeability, and porosity.  相似文献

对任意形状的均匀各向同性线弹性曲面物体,用 WKB~(1)方法求解了沿曲面传播的Rayleigh表面波的运动微分方程,同时考虑了波传播方向及其垂直方向曲面曲率对波的穿透性的影, 所获波动方程的势函数解答表明,在一般情况下垂直波传播方向的曲面曲率对波的穿透深度的影响是不容忽视的.进而以同种介质平面表面情况下的Rayleigh面波的传播特性为基准,给出了曲面曲率引起波数或波速变化的解析表达式.通过理论分析和数值算例,描述了曲面上Rayleigh面波传播行为的一些基本特征.  相似文献

Bousinesq方程能够用于模拟表面重力波传播过程中的折射、绕射、反射以及浅化,非线性作用等现象.用不同垂直积分方法所得到的二维Boussinesq方程形式具有不同的线性频散特征.采用两个不同的水深层的水平速度变量组合,推导出一个新形式的Bousinesq方程.通过对其参数的设置可得到精确的线性频散解Pade近似4阶精度.其适用范围已由原来的浅水,向深水拓进.相速误差小于2%,其拓展适用范围可达到08个波长水深.应用所得到的新型Bousinesq方程,采用有限差分法,对经典工况进行了数值模拟,其计算结果表明,计算值与物模实验值吻合较好.这说明本文新形式的Boussinesq方程对变水深非线性效应所产生的能量频散有着较为精确的描述  相似文献

Harmonic longitudinal acoustical waves are propagated through elastic thin rods whose elastic constant, density and crosssectional area are random functions of distance along the bar from a point of excitation. Partial reflection on successive inhomogeneities reduce the mean amplitude of waves, according to an exponential law, from the point of excitation. A method for calculating the mean damping coefficient is given, and the result is checked against numerical simulations.  相似文献

The head-on collision of a planar shock wave with a dust-air suspension is studied numerically. In this study the suspension is placed inside a conduit adjacent to its rigid end-wall. It is shown that as a result of this collision two different types of transmitted shock waves are possible, depending on the strength of the incident shock wave and the dust loading ratio in the suspension. One possibility is a partially dispersed shock wave, the other is a compression wave. The flow fields resulting in these two options are investigated. It is shown that in both cases, at late times after the head-on reflection of the transmitted shock wave from the conduit end-wall a negative flow (away from the end-wall) is evident. The observed flow behavior may suggest a kind of dust particle lifting mechanism that could shed new light on the complex phenomenon of dust entrainment behind sliding shock waves.   相似文献
