The effect of a time-correlated Gaussian noise on one-dimensional arrays consisting of diffusively coupled chaotic cells is analyzed. A resonance effect between the time scale of the chaotic attractor and the colored Gaussian noise has been found. As well, depending on the number of cells, coupling, and noise strength, an improvement of the synchronization or a poor synchronization between cells within the array can occur for some values of the time correlation. These nonlinear cooperative effects are studied in terms of a linear stability analysis around the uniform synchronized behavior.  相似文献

Spatiotemporal stochastic forcing of an ensemble system consisting of chaotic Lorenz cells diffusively coupled is analyzed. The nontrivial effects of time and length correlations on the ensemble mean error and spread are studied and the implications to new trends in weather forecast methodologies are discussed. A maximum for the forecast scores is observed to occur for specific values of time and length correlations. This maximum is studied in terms of an interplay between the natural scales occurring in the system and the noise parameters.  相似文献

运用统一色噪声近似理论和两态模型理论,研究了周期矩形信号和关联的乘性色噪声和加性白噪声驱动的非对称双稳系统的随机共振现象,得到了适合信号任意幅值的信噪比表达式.信噪比是乘性噪声强度、加性噪声强度、乘性噪声自关联时间、噪声耦合强度的非单调函数,所以该双稳系统中出现了随机共振.同时,调节加性噪声强度比调节乘性噪声强度更容易产生随机共振.势阱静态非对称性和噪声之间的耦合强度对信噪比的影响是不同的. 关键词: 非对称双稳系统 随机共振 信噪比 周期矩形信号  相似文献

The effects of additive correlated noise, which is composed of common Gaussian white noise and local Gaussian colored noise, on a square lattice network locally modelled by the Rulkov map are studied. We focus on the ability of noise to induce pattern formation in a resonant manner. It is shown that local Gaussian colored noise is able to induce pattern formation, which is more coherent at some noise intensity or correlation time, so it is able to induce spatiotemporal coherence resonance in the network. When common Gaussian white noise is applied in addition, it is seen that the correlated noise can induce coherent spatial structures at some intermediate noise correlation, while this is not the case for smaller and larger noise intensities. The mechanism of the observed spatiotemporal coherence resonance is discussed. It is also found that the correlation time of local colored noise has no evident effect on the optimal value of the noise strength for spatiotemporal coherence resonance in the network.  相似文献

We propose a method for reconstructing model differential equations with time delay for ensembles of coupled time-delay systems from their time series. The method has made it possible to recover the parameters of elements of the ensemble as well as the architecture and strength of couplings in ensembles of nonidentical systems with delay with an arbitrary number of unidirectional and bidirectional couplings between them. The effectiveness of the method is demonstrated for chaotic and periodic time series of model equations for ensembles of diffusively coupled systems with time delay in the presence of noise, as well as experimental time series for resistively coupled radiotechnical oscillators with delayed feedback.  相似文献

The phenomenon of stochastic resonance (SR) in a bistable nonlinear system is studied when the system is driven by the asymmetric potential and additive Gaussian colored noise. Using the unified colored noise approximation method, the additive Gaussian colored noise can be simplified to additive Gaussian white noise. The signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is calculated according to the generalized two-state theory (shown in [H.S. Wio and S. Bouzat, Brazilian J.Phys. 29 (1999) 136]). We find that the SNR increases with the proximity of a to zero. In addition, the correlation time T between the additive Gaussian colored noise is also an ingredient to improve SR. The shorter the correlation time T between the Gaussian additive colored noise is, the higher of the peak value of SNR.  相似文献

The decoupling theory is employed to analyze the multiplicative colored noise in a single mode laser system. Steady state intensity distribution function is derived when colored noise is included in the laser system. The first-order-like phase transition driven by multiplicative colored noise is investigated and compared with the case of multiplicative white noise. It is shown that the noise correlation time can affect the parameter plane of the first-order-like phase transition. Considering an optical bistable system with cross-correlated additive white noise and multiplicative colored noise, we study the effects of correlation between the noises on the correlation function C(s) using the unified colored noise approximation and the Stratonovich deeoupling ansatz formalism. The effects of the self-correlation time τ of the multiplicative colored noise and the correlation intensity λ between the two noises are studied with numerical calculation. It is found that C(s) increases with the increase of the self-correlation timeτ, but decreases with the increase of the correlation intensity λ. At large value of τ, there is almost no change for C(s) when τ changes.  相似文献

We study the thermal activation problem of a bistable system driven by correlated additive and multiplicative noises by means of numerical simulation. We find that in the colored noise case the suppression effect of the positive correlation decreases and finally is released as the autocorrelation time tau of the colored noise grows. When tau is large enough, negative correlation becomes more suppressive than the positive correlation. Such phenomena are ascribed to the collaboration between noises as well as the memory effect of the multiplicative colored noise.  相似文献

The effect of noise on phase synchronization in small sets and larger populations of weakly coupled chaotic oscillators is explored. Both independent and correlated noise are found to enhance phase synchronization of two coupled chaotic oscillators below the synchronization threshold; this is in contrast to the behavior of two coupled periodic oscillators. This constructive effect of noise results from the interplay between noise and the locking features of unstable periodic orbits. We show that in a population of nonidentical chaotic oscillators, correlated noise enhances synchronization in the weak coupling region. The interplay between noise and weak coupling induces a collective motion in which the coherence is maximal at an optimal noise intensity. Both the noise-enhanced phase synchronization and the coherence resonance numerically observed in coupled chaotic R?ssler oscillators are verified experimentally with an array of chaotic electrochemical oscillators.  相似文献

We consider networks of chaotic maps with different network topologies. In each case, they are coupled in such a way as to generate synchronized chaotic solutions. By using the methods of control of chaos we are controlling a single map into a predetermined trajectory. We analyze the reaction of the network to such a control. Specifically we show that a line of one-dimensional logistic maps that are unidirectionally coupled can be controlled from the first oscillator whereas a ring of diffusively coupled maps cannot be controlled for more than 5 maps. We show that rings with more elements can be controlled if every third map is controlled. The dependence of unidirectionally coupled maps on noise is studied. The noise level leads to a finite synchronization lengths for which maps can be controlled by a single location. A two-dimensional lattice is also studied.  相似文献

This paper proposes an approach that uses a parallel array to improve the reliability and robustness of logical stochastic resonance subject to colored noise. The experimental results demonstrate that (i) the increase of array size can extend the optimal range of noise intensity and increase the maximum probability of obtaining correct logic operation. (ii) The optimal range of noise correlation time is broadened with the increase of array size. (iii) The main difference between logical stochastic resonance subject to white noise and colored noise is that the increase of noise correlation time broadens the optimal range of noise intensity when the stochastic noise is colored noise. At the same time, the maximum probability of obtaining correct logic operation is close to 1. Therefore, reliable and robust logic gate can be realized under a certain array size.  相似文献

An information-theoretic measure is introduced for evaluating the dynamical coupling of spatiotemporally chaotic signals produced by extended systems. The measure of the one-way coupled map lattices and the one-dimensional, homogeneous, diffusively coupled map lattices is computed with the symbolic analysis method. The numerical results show that the information measure is applicable to determining the dynamical coupling between two directly coupled or indirectly coupled chaotic signals.  相似文献

An effective white-noise Langevin equation is derived that describes long-time phase dynamics of a limit-cycle oscillator driven by weak stationary colored noise. Effective drift and diffusion coefficients are given in terms of the phase sensitivity of the oscillator and the correlation function of the noise, and are explicitly calculated for oscillators with sinusoidal phase sensitivity functions driven by two typical colored Gaussian processes. The results are verified by numerical simulations using several types of stochastic or chaotic noise. The drift and diffusion coefficients of oscillators driven by chaotic noise exhibit anomalous dependence on the oscillator frequency, reflecting the peculiar power spectrum of the chaotic noise.  相似文献

Equations that describe a ring system consisting of a closed circuit of n (n = 2, 3, 4, ...) unidirectionally coupled self-oscillation systems that exhibit chaotic dynamics are analyzed in the presence of external colored noise. For simplicity, detailed results of numerical calculations are presented for three oscillators. It is demonstrated that the external colored noise that is exerted upon partial oscillators of the ring system may facilitate the development of synchronous oscillations and reduce transient processes related to stabilization of chaotic synchronization. The effect is qualitatively interpreted. For comparison, numerical methods are employed to analyze the effect of external colored noise on an open circuit consisting of three oscillators.  相似文献

We investigate the noise-induced transport of Brownian particle in a deterministic spatial symmetrical periodic potential driven by colored cross correlation between a multiplicative white noise and an additive white noise. We derive the general formula of the stationary current. Based on numerical computation, we found that directed motion of the Brownian particles can be induced by the correlation time τ of cross correlation between the multiplicative noise and the additive noise and the current reversal and the direction of the current is controlled by the τ.  相似文献

在描述原子激光强度的速率方程中,考虑了量子噪声和热噪声、以及它们的关联以后,计算了原子激光的关联函数和功率谱密度。发现不仅噪声对原子激光的统计性质有影响,而且,噪声间的关联会使得原子激光的谱密度发生从单峰到双峰、或三峰的相变。这种相变可以用凝聚体干涉条纹间距的变化来观察。进一步又讨论了噪声的关联时间对原子激光谱密度的影响。  相似文献

Statistical properties of dye laser are studied by using the colored gain-noise model which has been presented recently. We calculate the intensity correlation function and relaxation time driven by colored pump noise and white spon taneous-emission noise simultaneously. Intensity fluctuation and first-order-like transition are analyzed too in this paper. It is found that the colored gain-noise model can describe well the anomalous statistical properties of dye laser.  相似文献
