With the rapid development in computer technologies, mathematical programming-based technique to solve scheduling problems is significantly receiving attention from researchers. Although, it is not efficient solution method due to the NP-hard structure of these problems, mathematical programming formulation is the first step to develop an effective heuristic. Numerous comparative studies for variety scheduling problems have appeared over the years. But in our search in literature there is not an entirely review for mathematical formulations of flexible job shop scheduling problems (FJSP). In this paper, four the most widely used formulations of the FJSP are compiled from literature and a time-indexed model for FJSP is proposed. These formulations are evaluated under three categories that are distinguished by the type of binary variable that they rely on for using of sequencing operations on machines. All five formulations compared and results are presented.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

In this paper, we introduce some new algorithms for solving the equilibrium problem in a Hilbert space which are constructed around the proximal-like mapping and inertial effect. Also, some convergence theorems of the algorithms are established under mild conditions. Finally, several experiments are performed to show the computational efficiency and the advantage of the proposed algorithm over other well-known algorithms.  相似文献

Wafer sorting is usually regarded as the most critical stage in the whole wafer probing process. This paper discusses the wafer sorting scheduling problem (WSSP) with total setup time minimization as the primary criterion and the minimization of the number of machines used as the secondary criterion. Although the need to consider multiple criteria in real-world WSSPs is widely recognized, the present study is the first attempt to investigate this argument with setups consideration. In view of the strongly NP-hard nature of this problem, three meta-heuristic algorithms—an ant colony system algorithm, a Genetic algorithm, and a Tabu search algorithm are proposed. The proposed meta-heuristics are empirically evaluated by 480 simulation instances based on the characteristics of a real wafer testing shop-floor and found to be very effective in terms of finding good quality solutions.  相似文献

We consider a generalized job-shop problem where the jobs additionally have to be transported between the machines by a single transport robot. Besides transportation times for the jobs, empty moving times for the robot are taken into account. The objective is to determine a schedule with minimal makespan. We present local search algorithms for this problem where appropriate neighborhood structures are defined using problem-specific properties. An one-stage procedure is compared with a two-stage approach and a combination of both. Computational results are presented for test data arising from job-shop benchmark instances enlarged by transportation and empty moving times.  相似文献

The class of local elimination algorithms is considered that make it possible to obtain global information about solutions of a problem using local information. The general structure of local elimination algorithms is described that use neighborhoods of elements and the structural graph describing the problem structure; an elimination algorithm is also described. This class of algorithms includes local decomposition algorithms for discrete optimization problems, nonserial dynamic programming algorithms, bucket elimination algorithms, and tree decomposition algorithms. It is shown that local elimination algorithms can be used for solving optimization problems.  相似文献

As a result of rapid developments in production technologies in recent years, flexible job-shop scheduling problems have become increasingly significant. This paper deals with two NP-hard optimization problems: flexible job-shop scheduling problems (FJSPs) that encompass routing and sequencing sub-problems, and the FJSPs with process plan flexibility (FJSP-PPFs) that additionally include the process plan selection sub-problem. The study is carried out in two steps. In the first step, a mixed-integer linear programming model (MILP-1) is developed for FJSPs and compared to an alternative model in the literature (Model F) in terms of computational efficiency. In the second step, one other mixed-integer linear programming model, a modification of MILP-1, for the FJSP-PPFs is presented along with its computational results on hypothetically generated test problems.  相似文献

The goal of this paper is to present two algorithms for solving systems of inclusion problems, with all components of the systems being a sum of two maximal monotone operators. The algorithms are variants of the forward-backward splitting method and one being a hybrid with the alternating projection method. They consist of approximating the solution sets involved in the problem by separating half-spaces which is a well-studied strategy. The schemes contain two parts, the first one is an explicit Armijo-type search in the spirit of the extragradient-like methods for variational inequalities. The second part is the projection step, this being the main difference between the algorithms. While the first algorithm computes the projection onto the intersection of the separating half-spaces, the second chooses one component of the system and projects onto the separating half-space of this case. In the iterative process, the forward-backward operator is computed once per inclusion problem, representing a relevant computational saving if compared with similar algorithms in the literature. The convergence analysis of the proposed methods is given assuming monotonicity of all operators, without Lipschitz continuity assumption. We also present some numerical experiments.  相似文献

New algorithms for solving unconstrained optimization problems are presented based on the idea of combining two types of descent directions: the direction of anti-gradient and either the Newton or quasi-Newton directions. The use of latter directions allows one to improve the convergence rate. Global and superlinear convergence properties of these algorithms are established. Numerical experiments using some unconstrained test problems are reported. Also, the proposed algorithms are compared with some existing similar methods using results of experiments. This comparison demonstrates the efficiency of the proposed combined methods.  相似文献

In this paper, we present new approximation results for the offline problem of single machine scheduling with sequence-independent set-ups and item availability, where the jobs to be scheduled are independent (i.e., have no precedence constraints) and have a common release time.We present polynomial-time approximation algorithms for two versions of this problem. In the first version, the input includes a weight for each job, and the goal is to minimize the total weighted completion time. On any input, our algorithm produces a schedule whose total weighted completion time is within a factor 2 of optimal for that input. In the second version, the input includes a due date for each job, and the goal is to minimize the maximum lateness of any job. On any input, our algorithm produces a schedule with the following performance guarantee: the maximum lateness of a job is at most the maximum lateness of the optimal schedule on a machine that runs at half the speed of our machine.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the updating problems to reconstruct the biconnected-components and to reconstruct the weighted shortest path in response to the topology change of the network. We propose two distributed algorithms. The first algorithm solves the updating problem that reconstructs the biconnected-components after the several processors and links are added and deleted. Its bit complexity is O((n′ +a +d) logn′), its message complexity is O(n′ +a +d), the ideal time complexity isO(n′), and the space complexity isO(e logn +e′ logn′). The second algorithm solves the updating problem that reconstructs the weighted shortest path. Its message complexity and ideal-time complexity areO(u 2 +a +n′) respectively.  相似文献

We formulate minmax flow problems as a DC optimization problem. We then apply a DC primal-dual algorithm to solve the resulting problem. The obtained computational results show that the proposed algorithm is efficient thanks to particular structures of the minmax flow problems.  相似文献

In this paper we consider coupled-task single-machine and two-machine flow shop scheduling problems with exact delays, unit processing times, and the makespan as an objective function. The main results of the paper are fast 7/4- and 3/2-approximation algorithms for solving the single- and two-machine problems, respectively.  相似文献

This article deals with multicriteria optimization models and algorithms of movement scheduling for many objects to synchronize their movement (2CMSS problem). The model consists of two parts: (1) node–disjoint path planning visiting specified nodes for K objects with a given vector of intermediate nodes for each one (NDSP problem); (2) movement synchronization in some intermediate nodes (MS problem). For synchronous movement, two categories of criteria are defined: time of movement and ‘distance’ of K-moved objects from the movement pattern. We defined the problem as a discrete-continuous, non-linear, two-criteria mathematical programming problem. We proposed to use a two-stage algorithm to solve the 2CMSS problem (as lexicographic solution): At first we have to find the vector of node–disjoint shortest paths for K objects visiting intermediate nodes to set optimal paths under the assumption that we use maximal possible velocities on each arc belonging to a path for each object (solution of the NDSP problem), and next we try to decrease the values of velocities to optimize the second criterion (synchronization, solution of the MS problem). Experimental analyses of effectiveness and complexity of the algorithms are presented.  相似文献

An algorithm is developed for solving a class of transportation scheduling problems. It applies for a variety of problems such as: the Combining Truck Trip problem, the Delivery problem, the School Bus problem, the Assignment of Buses to Schedules, and the Travelling Salesman problem. The objective functions of the above problems differ from each other. Yet, by using the “savings method” proposed by Clarke and Wright, and extended by Gaskell, we are able to define each one of the above problems as a series of assignment problems. The cost matrix entries of each one of the assignment problems are a function of the constraints of the particular routing or scheduling problem. The solution to the assignment problem determines an upper bound of the optimal solution to the original problem. By combining the above procedure with a Branch and Bound procedure, it is possible to obtain the optimal solution in a finite number of steps. In some cases the Branch and Bound process can be eliminated due to the nature of the problem and in those cases the algorithm is efficient.  相似文献

We consider a class of convex programming problems whose objective function is given as a linear function plus a convex function whose arguments are linear functions of the decision variables and whose feasible region is a polytope. We show that there exists an optimal solution to this class of problems on a face of the constraint polytope of dimension not more than the number of arguments of the convex function. Based on this result, we develop a method to solve this problem that is inspired by the simplex method for linear programming. It is shown that this method terminates in a finite number of iterations in the special case that the convex function has only a single argument. We then use this insight to develop a second algorithm that solves the problem in a finite number of iterations for an arbitrary number of arguments in the convex function. A computational study illustrates the efficiency of the algorithm and suggests that the average-case performance of these algorithms is a polynomial of low order in the number of decision variables.
