The substituent effect of ortho-substituted 4-aroyl derivatives of 1-phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolones (HA) on the adduct formation reaction between their lutetium chelates and a neutral ligand, trioctylphosphine oxide (TOPO, L), in benzene was studied using a liquid-liquid extraction system. The lutetium 4-aroyl-5-pyrazolonates react with TOPO to form LuA3L and LuA3L2 types of adducts. An obvious steric hindrance of the terminal group on the adduct formation reaction was observed. Linear relationships between the acid dissociation constant of the ortho-substituted 4-aroyl-5-pyrazolone derivatives and those of the corresponding benzoic acids, between the extraction constants of lutetium and the acid dissociation constants of pyrazolones and between the adduct formation constants of TOPO and the acid dissociation constants of pyrazolones could be obtained.  相似文献

A series of five 8-substituted α-[bis(2-hydroxyethyi)aminoethyl]naphtho[2,1-b]thiophenes 7 and a series of seven N-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)-8-substituted naphtho[2,1-b]thiophene-4-carboxamides 8 have been synthesized. The naphtho[2,1-b]thiophene-4-carboxylic acids 4 were prepared by photooxidative cyclization of α-(2-thienyi)-β-arylacrylic acids 3. The carboxylic acids 4 were converted by a conventional five step route involving α-bromoketone intermediates to the a-[bis(2-hydroxyethyl)aminomethyl]-8-substituted naphtho-[2,1-6]thiophene-4-methanols 7 and by a standard two-step amide preparation to the N-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)-8-substituted naphtho[2,1-6]thiophene-4-carboxamides 8 .  相似文献

The stability constants of some 1:1 Me2+-complexes of the following five-membered heterocyclic carboxylic acids have been measured in 50 perc. aqueous dioxane (I = 0,1; t = 25°): thiophene-2- (I), 3-phenylisothiazole-5- (II), tetrahydrothiophene-2- (III), furan-2- (IV), pyrrole-2- (V), and tetrahydrofuran-2-carboxylic acid (VI) (table 1 and 2). A comparison of the stability constants of the Cu2+-complexes of acetic acid (VII), benzoic acid (VIII), m-chlorobenzoic acid (IX), p-nitrobenzoic acid (X), and chloroacetic acid (VI) shows that the heterocyclic S and O atoms coordinate with Cu2+, i.e. Cu2+ chelates (structure XII) are formed (Figure 1). NMR. spectra (Fig. 2) give evidence for the coordination of the «aromatic» S atom in the Cu2+ complexes of thiophene-2-carboxylic acid (I), i.e. at least a part of the complexes are chelates. The NMR. spectra of furan-2-carboxylic acid (IV) gave no unequivocal results; in the case of pyrrole-2-carboxylic acid (V) the interaction between Cu2+ and the NH-group is very small (Fig. 4), i.e. a simple carboxylic acid complex is formed.  相似文献

The thermodynamic dissociation constants of a series of 38 substituted π-(tricarbonylchromium)benzoic acids in 50% aqueous ethanol at 25°C have been determined. The results require revision of some literature values.The pKa*-values of the π-(tricarbonylchromium)benzoic acids were correlated with the electronic substituent parameters in terms of the Yukawa-Tsuno equation. The reaction constant (ρ) decreases from 1.4 for the benzoic acids to 0.8 for the π-(tricarbonylchromium)benzoic acids, reflecting the decreased ability of the complexed aromatic system to transmit electronic substituent effects. For the alkylsubstituted π-(tricarbonylchromium)benzoic acids, conformational effects of the Cr(CO)3 group can account for some of the anomalies observed. The substituent parameters, σmeta and σpara, of the π-(Cr(CO)3)phenyl group as a substituent were derived from the dissociation constants of the complexed phenylbenzoic acids.  相似文献

The second-order rate constants k for the alkaline hydrolysis of phenyl esters of meta-, para- and ortho-substituted benzoic acids, X-C6H4CO2C6H5, in aqueous 50.9% acetonitrile have been measured spectrophotometrically at 25°C. The log k values for meta and para derivatives correlated well with the Hammett σm,p substituent constants. The log k values for ortho-substituted phenyl benzoates showed good correlations with the Charton equation, containing the inductive, σI, resonance, σ R, and steric, E s B, and Charton υ substituent constants. For ortho derivatives the predicted (log k X)calc values were calculated with equation (log k ortho)calc = (log k H AN)exp + 0.059 + 2.19σI + 0.304σ R + 2.79E s B ? 0.0164ΔEσI — 0.0854ΔEσ R, where DE is the solvent electrophilicity, ΔE = E ANE H20 = ?5.84 for aqueous 50.9% acetonitrile. The predicted (log k X)calc values for phenyl ortho-, meta- and para-substituted benzoates in aqueous 50.9% acetonitrile at 25°C precisely coincided with the experimental log k values determined in the present work. The substituent effects from the benzoyl moiety and aryl moiety were compared by correlating the log k values for the alkaline hydrolysis of phenyl esters of substituted benzoic acids, X-C6H4CO2C6H5, in various media with the corresponding log k values for substituted phenyl benzoates, C6H5CO2C6H4-X.  相似文献

The H2 and CH4 chemical ionization mass spectra of a series of series of substituted benzoic acids and substituted benzyl alcohols have been determined. For the benzoic acids the major fragmentation reactions of the protonated molecule involve elimination of H2O or elimination of CO2, the latter reaction involving migration of the carboxylic hydrogen to the aromatic ring. For the benzyl alcohols the major fragmentation reactions of [MH]+ involve loss of H2O or CH2O, analogous to the CO2 elimination reaction for the benzoic acids. It is shown that the CO2 and CH2O elimination reactions occur only when a conjugated aromatic ring system is present, and that for the carboxylic acid systems, methyl groups and, to a lesser extent, phenyl groups are capable of migrating. The only discernible effect of substituents on the fragmentation of [MH]+ is an enhancement of the H2O loss reaction in the benzoic acid system when an amino, hydroxyl, or halogen substituent is ortho to the carboxyl function. This ‘ortho’ effect, which differs in scope from that observed in electron impact mass spectra, is attributed to an intramolecular catalysis by the ortho substituent of the 1,3 hydrogen migration in the carbonyl protonated acid followed by H2O elimination. Apparently, this route is favoured over the direct elimination of H2O from the carbonyl protonated acid, since the latter has a high activation energy barrier because of unfavourable orbital symmetry restrictions.  相似文献

A series of N-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)-6-substituted naphtho[2,1-b]thiophenes-4-carboxamides have been synthesized. 6-Substituted naphtho[2,1-b]thiophene-4-carboxylic acids were obtained upon oxidative-photo-cyclization of α-(2-thienyl)-β-arylacrylic acids. The naphtho[2,1-b]thiophene carboxylic acids were converted to the corresponding amides through their acid chlorides or, in one case, by use of 1,1-carbonyldiimidazole coupling of the amine and the acid.  相似文献

The 70 eV electron impact mass spectra of twelve 5- and 3-substituted thiophene-2-carboxamides are discussed with the aid of exact mass measurements and labelling experiments. All mass spectra exhibit pronounced molecular ions. Some isomeric 5- and 3-substituted title compounds can be differentiated by mass spectrometry. The fragmentation is influenced by a strong ‘ortho-effect’ which activates the NH3 elimination. In the other cases the most important fragmentation is NH2˙ loss, followed by CO elimination.  相似文献

The acidity of 5-benzylbarbituric acid and a series of 5-substituted benzylbarbituric acids has been determined in 50% ethanol/water and they were found to be more acidic than barbituric acid. The pKas of these derivatives obey Hammett's equation indicating that their acidity is affected by substituents in the same manner as the benzoic acid ionization constants. The hyperconjugative effect of the methyl group in the para and ortho position of the benzene ring is studied as a function of the medium. The ionization and solution enthalpies of ortho and para toluic acids have been measured in H2O/DMSO mixtures. A study of the ortho effects by means of the linear combination of the ordinary polar, proximity polar and steric effects has also been performed.The methyl group both in ortho and para position seems to be forced out by the benzene ring at Xdmso= 0.5 mole fraction with a consequent decrease of hyperconjugation effect. A study of enthalpic and entropic contributions to substituent and reaction constants and the proton transfer process from ortho and para derivatives to benzoic acid, compared with the same process in the gaseous phase are also presented.  相似文献

Electronic substituent effects in 4-substituted 1-phenylcubane derivatives, Ph–C8H6–X, have been investigated from the structural changes caused by the substituent X. The molecular structures of 34 derivatives with charged or dipolar substituents have been determined from quantum chemical calculations at the HF/6-31G* and B3LYP/6-311++G** levels of theory. Geometrical variations caused by substitution appear both in the cubane framework and in the benzene ring, but the two kinds of changes show no correlation. The rather small changes in the benzene ring geometry are caused by long-range polar effects (field effects), while the larger changes in the cubane cage are controlled primarily by electronegativity effects. A structural parameter measuring the long-range polar effect of the substituent, S FCUB, has been derived from the geometry of the phenyl group acting as a probe. This parameter correlates well with the calculated gas-phase acidities of 4-substituted cubane-1-carboxylic acids, HOOC–C8H6–X, and with other indicators of long-range polar effects obtained from bicyclo[2.2.2]octane derivatives. The correlations can further be improved by introducing a resonance parameter as an additional explanatory variable. This indicates that the electron delocalization resulting from hyperconjugative interactions between substituent and cage modifies the long-range polar effect of the substituent. Strong hyperconjugative interactions between some charged substituents and the cubane cage result in remarkable variations in the cage geometry, superimposed onto those ascribed to electronegativity effects.  相似文献

The 17O NMR spectra for a series of 17O-enriched p-substituted benzoic acids, methyl benzoates, cinnamic acids and methyl cinnamates in acetone at 40°C are reported. The carboxylic acids showed one signal (benzoic 250.5 ppm, SCS range p-MeO to p-NO2 = 10.5 ppm; cinnamic 254.1 ppm, SCS range p-MeO to p-NO2 = 5.4 ppm). The esters showed two signals [methyl benzoate (C?O) 341.3 ppm and (OCH3) 128.0 ppm; methyl cinnamate (C?O) 339.9 ppm and (OCH3) 134.2 ppm]. The SCS ranges for the carbonyls of the esters were larger than those for the corresponding acids, while those for the OCH3 groups of the esters were slightly smaller. The carbonyl data gave good correlations with σ+ constants, while the OCH3 data gave at best only a poor correlation with σ constants. Dual substituent parameter treatment improved the correlations for all the data using σR+ constants. The ratios of ρI to ρR+ were similar for all the sets of data.  相似文献

A series of 2-substituted 4H-3,1-benzoxazinones and 2,3-disubstituted 4-(3H)quinazolinones have been synthesized in mild conditions by the use of triphenyl phosphite and pyridine as cyclising medium. Benzox-azinones are produced either by ring closure of 2-(acylamino)benzoic acids or in the reaction of benzoic acid with anthranilic acids. The 70 eV mass spectra of a number of derivatives of 3,5-diphenul-1,2,4-oxadiazole substituted either in the 5-phenyl (fifteen) or in the 3-phenyl (four) position, have been studied using exact mass measurements and metastable determinations by the defocusing technique. The substituent effects on the heterocyclic cleavage are not very important for electron-withdrawing and weak electron-donating groups. The main cleavage is the formal retro 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition with the positive charge retained by the C7H5NO (orYC7H4NO in the case of the 3-substituted derivatives) fragment specifically containing the 3-phenyl, as oreviously observed for 3,5-diphenyl-1,2,4-oxadiazole using labelling experiments. Two other minor primary processes leading to benzoyl and nitrile ions, both containing the 5-phenyl, become important in the case of the electron-donating substituted compounds. Correlation of the abundance of these fragmednts and of the molecular ions with σ+ (para) Brown constants is discussed. Proximity effets are shown by some ortho derivatives.  相似文献

The effect of cationic micelles of benzyldimethylhexadecylammonium chloride and hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide on the fluorescence spectra of indole and its carboxylic derivatives were determined. The larger solute-micelle binding constants were provided by benzyldimethylhexadecylammonium chloride, ranging from 0.10·105 and 2.15·105 M –1 for indole-5-carboxylic and indole-2-carboxylic acid, respectively. The determination of indole-4-carboxylic acid with a detection limit of 1.0 ng ml–1, in the presence of the 3-and 5-substituted derivatives, shows the analytical potential of the synchronous spectrofluorimetry combined with the enhancement effects caused by micellar media.  相似文献

Complex formation of α- and β-cyclodextrins with para- and meta-aminobenzoic acids in water at 298.15 K was studied by 1H NMR. The formation of 1:1 inclusion complexes in all systems under consideration was observed. Stability constants of the complexes and chemical shift difference induced by 100% complex formation were calculated. The obtained results were discussed in terms of influence of the cyclodextrin cavity size and position of the side amino group in the aromatic ring of aminobenzoic acid molecule on the binding mode and the complex stability.  相似文献

The Gibbs energies of deprotonation Δr G 298 of gaseous benzoic acid (BA), benzenesulfonic acid (BSA) and their six mono-, di-, and trinitro-substituted derivatives are calculated by means of B3LYP/cc-pVTZ and MP2/6-311++G**. The dependences of Δr G 298 on the number and the position of nitro groups in an aromatic ring are revealed, as is the possibility of intramolecular hydrogen bond (IHB) formation in ortho-substituted acids. It is found that the deprotonation of conformers of ortho-nitro-substituted BSA without IHBs requires less energy (by 4–5 kcal/mol) than for conformers with IHBs. It is shown that the Δr G 298 values for substituted BA are ~22 kcal/mol higher than the corresponding values for substituted BSA. A trend of diminishing Δr G 298 for nitro-substituted acids is observed when the number of nitro groups is increased, and di- and trinitro-substituted BSA may therefore be considered superstrong acids.  相似文献

A new synthetic method for the preparation of α-amino-substituted benzylphosphonic acids with moderate to good yields was developed by the following sequence of reactions. Diethyl phosphoramide was reacted with substituted benzaldehyde and triphenyl phosphite in the presence of catalytic amount of BF3·Et2O. Diphenyl α-(N-phosphorylamino)-substituted benzylphosphonates ( 1 ) thus obtained was then treated with hydrogen bromide in acetic acid to remove selectively the amino-protecting group with the formation of diphenyl α-amino-substituted benzylphosphonates ( 2 ), a key intermediate in phosphorus peptide synthesis, which was then successively hydrolyzed with hydrobromic acid to give corresponding hydrobromide of α-amino-substituted benzylphosphonates with excellent yields. The free aminophosphonic acid ( 3 ) was obatined from the latter by treatment with propylene oxide. 31P NMR studies demonstrated that a linear relationship exists in plotting δ versus δ constants of nuclear substituent in 1 series. The p-substituted compounds give, as a rule, higher value in 31P NMR spectra than those from meta- and ortho-substituents.  相似文献
