The main purpose of this study is to develop an inexpensive, simple, selective and especially highly selective modified mixed-oxide carbon paste electrode (CPE) for voltammetric determination of Pb(II). For the preliminary screening purpose, the catalyst was prepared by modification of SiO2-Al2O3 mixed-oxide and characterized by TG, CHN elemental analysis and FTIR spectroscopy. Using cyclic voltammetry the electroanalytical characteristics of the catalyst have been determined, and consequently the modified mixed-oxide carbon paste electrode was constructed and applied for determination of Pb(II). The electroanalytical procedure for determination of the Pb(II) comprises two steps: the chemical accumulation of the analyte under open-circuit conditions followed by the electrochemical detection of the preconcentrated species using differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry. During the preconcentration step, Pb(II) was accumulated on the surface of the modifier by the formation of a complex with the nitrogen atoms of the pyridyl groups in the modifier. The peak currents increases linearly with Pb(II) concentration over the range of 2.0 × 10−9 to 5.2 × 10−5 mol L−1 (r2 = 0.9995).The detection limit (three times signal-to-noise) was found to be 1.07 × 10−9 mol L−1 Pb(II). The chemical and instrumental parameters have been optimized and the effect of the interferences has been determined. The Proposed method was used for determination of lead ion in the real samples.  相似文献

A modified carbon paste electrode based on multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and 3-(4-methoxybenzylideneamino)-2-thioxothiazolodin-4-one as a new synthesized Schiff base was constructed for the simultaneous determination of trace amounts of Hg(II) and Pb(II) by square wave anodic stripping voltammetry. The modified electrode showed an excellent selectivity and stability for Hg(II) and Pb(II) determinations and for accelerated electron transfer between the electrode and the analytes. The electrochemical properties and applications of the modified electrode were studied. Operational parameters such as pH, deposition potential and deposition time were optimized for the purpose of determination of traces of metal ions at pH 3.0. Under optimal conditions the limits of detection, based on three times the background noise, were 9.0 × 10−4 and 6.0 × 10−4 μmol L−1 for Hg(II) and Pb(II) with a 90 s preconcentration, respectively. In addition, the modified electrode displayed a good reproducibility and selectivity, making it suitable for the simultaneous determination of Hg(II) and Pb(II) in real samples such as sea water, waste water, tobacco, marine and human teeth samples.  相似文献

The possibility of applying antimony-film modified glassy carbon electrode in sequential-injection analysis (SIA) was investigated with the objective of determining Pb(II) and Cd(II) by anodic stripping voltammetry (ASV). The conditions of antimony-film deposition concerning composition of the plating/carrier solutions, concentrations of Sb(III) and hydrochloric acid, effects of different supporting electrolyte salts, and plating potential were optimized. It was found that the antimony-film deposition on glassy carbon substrate in a sample solution consisting of 750 μg L−1 Sb(III), 0.5 mol L−1 HCl at −1.5 V (vs. Ag/AgCl/3 mol L−1 KCl) yielded a modified electrode suitable for the determination of Pb(II) and Cd(II) at the μg L−1 level. The reproducibility of the analytical signals was characterized by a relative standard deviation lower than 2.8%, and the calculated values of detection limits were 1.2 μg L−1 for Pb(II) and 1.4 μg L−1 for Cd(II). The presence of KSCN in the sample solution offers the possibility of detecting ions with more negative oxidation potentials like Zn(II), Mn(II) or Cr(III). The developed SIA-ASV procedure was compared with the commonly used batch method, and its applicability was tested on a spiked tap water sample.  相似文献

The preparation and electrochemical characterization of a carbon paste electrode modified with layered birnessite-type manganese oxide for use as a sodium sensor is described. The effects of powder synthesis process (sol-gel and redox precipitation) for birnessite on the electrochemical activity of the sensor was investigated by cyclic voltammetry. The carbon paste electrode modified with birnessite-type manganese oxide that was synthesized by the sol-gel method showed a best electrochemical for sodium ions. The detection is based on the measurement of anodic current generated by oxidation of Mn(III) to Mn(IV) at the surface of the electrode and consequently the sodium ions extraction into the birnessite structure. The best voltammetric response was obtained for an electrode composition of 15% (w/w) birnessite oxide in the paste, a TRIS buffer solution of pH 8.0 and a scan rate of 50 mV s−1. A sensitive linear voltammetric response for sodium ions was obtained in the concentration range of 7.89 × 10−5 to 3.49 × 10−4 mol L−1 with a slope of 37.5 μA L mmol−1 and a detection limit (3σ/slope) of 3.43 × 10−5 mol L−1 using cyclic voltammetry. Under the working conditions, the proposed method was successfully applied to determination of sodium ions in urine samples.  相似文献

This report described the direct voltammetric detection of peroxynitrite (ONOO) at a novel cyanocobalamin modified glassy carbon electrode prepared by electropolymeriation method. The electrochemical behaviors of peroxynitrite at the modified electrode were studied by cyclic voltammetry. The results showed that this new electrochemical sensor exhibited an excellent electrocatalytic activity to oxidation of peroxynitrite. The mechanism of catalysis was discussed. Based on electrocatalytic oxidation of peroxynitrite at the poly(cyanocobalamin) modified electrode, peroxynitrite was sensitively detected by differential pulse voltammetry. Under optimum conditions, the anodic peak current was linear to concentration of peroxynitrite in the range of 2.0 × 10−6 to 3.0 × 10−4 mol L−1 with a detection limit of 1.0 × 10−7 mol L−1 (S/N of 3). The proposed method has been applied to determination of peroxynitrite in human serum with satisfactory results. This poly(cyanocobalamin) modified electrode showed high selectivity and sensitivity to peroxynitrite determination, which could be used in quantitative detection of peroxynitrite in vivo and in vitro.  相似文献

Titanium phosphate grafted on the surface of silica gel (devoted briefly as Si-TiPH) was synthesized and used as bulk modifier to fabricate a renewable three-dimensional chemically modified electrode. The Si-TiPH bulk modified carbon paste electrode was used for the selective determination of dopamine (DA) in the presence of ascorbic acid (AA). The modified electrode offers an excellent and stable response for the determination of DA in the presence of AA. The differential pulse voltammetry peak current was found to be linear with the DA concentration in the range 2 × 10−7 to 1 × 10−6 and 2 × 10−6 to 6 × 10−5 mol L−1. The detection limit of the proposed method in the presence of 2.0 × 10−5 M of AA was found to be 4.3 × 10−8 mol L−1 for DA determination. The proposed method was successfully applied for the determination of DA in injections.  相似文献

A sensitive and selective method was developed for the determination of N-acetyl-p-aminophenol (APAP) and p-aminophenol (PAP) using poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT)-modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE). Cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry were used to investigate the electrochemical reaction of APAP and PAP at the modified electrode. Both APAP and PAP showed quasireversible redox reactions with formal potentials of 367 mV and 101 mV (vs. Ag/AgCl), respectively, in phosphate buffer solution of pH 7.0. The significant peak potential difference (266 mV) between APAP and PAP enabled the simultaneous determination both species based on differential pulse voltammetry. The voltammetric responses gave linear ranges of 1.0 × 10−6-1.0 × 10−4 mol L−1 and 4.0 × 10−6-3.2 × 10−4 mol L−1, with detection limits of 4.0 × 10−7 mol L−1 and 1.2 × 10−6 mol L−1 for APAP and PAP, respectively. The method was successfully applied for the determination of APAP and PAP in pharmaceutical formulations and biological samples.  相似文献

In this study, an hybrid material obtained by the intercalation of a gemini surfactant between the layers of smectite-type clay, was fully characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and N2 adsorption-desorption experiments (BET method). To ascertain the intercalation process of the starting clay by the dimeric surfactant, the permselectivity and ion exchange properties of the organoclay were investigated by ion exchange voltammetry using [Fe(CN)6]3− and [Ru(NH3)6]3+ as redox probes, by the means of a clay film-modified electrode. Due to its organophilic character, the surfactant-intercalated complex was evaluated as electrode modifier for the accumulation of methylparathion (MP) pesticide. The electroanalytical procedure involves two steps: preconcentration under open-circuit followed by voltammetric detection by square wave voltammetry: the peak current obtained (after 5 min preconcentration in 4 × 10−5 mol L−1 MP) on a glassy carbon electrode coated by a thin film of the modified clay was more than five times higher than that exhibited by the same substrate covered by a film of the pristine clay. This opens the way to the development of a sensitive method for the detection of the pesticide. Many parameters that can affect the stripping response (surfactant loading of the hybrid material, film composition, pH of the detection medium, preconcentration time, electrolysis potential and duration as well as some other instrumental parameters) were systematically investigated to optimize the sensitivity of the organoclay-modified electrode. After optimization, a linear calibration curve for MP was obtained in the concentration range from 4 × 10−7 to 8.5 × 10−6 mol L−1 in acetate buffer (pH 5), with a detection limit of 7 × 10−8 mol L−1 (signal-to-noise ratio equal to 3). The interference effect of various inorganic ions likely to influence the stripping determination of the pesticide was also examined, and the described method was applied to spring water analysis.  相似文献

An ionic liquid modified carbon paste electrode (IL/CPE) had been fabricated by using hydrophilic ionic liquid 1-amyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide ([AMIM]Br) as a modifier. The IL/CPE was characterized by scanning electron microscope and voltammetry. Electrochemical behavior of rutin at the IL/CPE had been investigated in pH 3.29 Britton-Robinson (B-R) buffer solution by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and square wave voltammetry (SWV). The experimental results suggested that the modified electrode exhibited an electrocatalytic activity toward the redox of rutin. The electron transfer coefficient (α) and the standard rate constant (ks) of rutin at the modified electrode were calculated. Under the selected conditions, the reduction peak current was linearly dependent on the concentration of rutin in the range of 4.0 × 10−8 to 1.0 × 10−5 mol L−1 (r = 0.9998), with a detection limit of 1.0 × 10−8 mol L−1 (S/N = 3). The relative standard deviation (R.S.D.) for six times successful determination of 8.0 × 10−7 mol L−1 rutin was 1.2%. The proposed method was applied to determine rutin in tablet and urine sample. In addition, the IL/CPE exhibited a distinct advantage of simple preparation, surface renewal, good reproducibility and good stability.  相似文献

The present paper describes to modify a double stranded DNA-octadecylamine (ODA) Langmuir-Blodgett film on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) surface to develop a voltammetric sensor for the detection of trace amounts of baicalein. The electrode was characterized by atomic force microscopy (AFM) and cyclic voltammetry (CV). Electrochemical behaviour of baicalein at the modified electrode had been investigated in pH 2.87 Britton-Robinson buffer solutions by CV and square wave voltammetry (SWV). Compared with bare GCE, the electrode presented an electrocatalytic redox for baicalein. Under the optimum conditions, the modified electrode showed a linear voltammetric response for the baicalein within a concentration range of 1.0 × 10−8-2.0 × 10−6 mol L−1, and a value of 6.0 × 10−9 mol L−1 was calculated for the detection limit. And the modified electrode exhibited an excellent immunity from epinephrine, dopamine, glucose and ascorbic acid interference. The method was also applied successfully to detect baicalein in the medicinal tablets and spiked human blood serum samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

Three Mn(III) porphyrins were used for the design of carbon paste and diamond paste based microelectrodes, which were employed for the determination of dopamine in pharmaceutical and biological samples using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). The limits of detection lie between 1.6 × 10−13 and 2.0 × 10−6 mol L−1 while the sensitivities were between 230 pA μmol L−1 and 3.24 μA mol L−1. Dopamine was recovered reliable from pharmaceutical and biological samples in percentages higher than 91.00% and 92.00%, respectively. The surface of the microelectrodes can easily be renewed by simple polishing, obtaining a fresh surface ready for use in a new assay.  相似文献

A new method is developed for the catalytic oxidation of ascorbic acid at graphite zeolite-modified electrode, doped with copper(II) (Cu2+A/ZCME). Copper(II) exchanged in zeolite type A acts as catalyst to oxidize ascorbic acid. The modified electrode lowered the overpotential of the reaction by ∼400 mV. First, the electrochemical behavior of copper(II), incorporated in the zeolite type A modified electrode, was studied. The results illustrate that diffusion can control the copper(II)/copper(0) redox process at the Cu2+A/ZCME. Then, the behavior of electrocatalytic oxidation reaction for ascorbic acid was researched. The electrode was employed to study electrocatalytic oxidation of ascorbic acid, using cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry as diagnostic techniques. The diffusion coefficient of ascorbic acid was equal to 1.028 × 10−5 cm2 s−1. A linear calibration graph was obtained over the ascorbic acid with a concentration range of 0.003-6.00 mmol L−1. The detection limit (DL) of ascorbic acid was estimated as 2.76 × 10−7 mol L−1. The relative standard deviations of 10 replicate measurements (performed on a single electrode at several ascorbic acid concentrations between 3.0 and 200 μmol L−1) were measured between 1.0 and 2.4%.  相似文献

The use of selective pre-concentration and differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (DPASV) using a carbon paste electrode modified (CPEM) with spinel-type manganese oxide has been proposed for the determination of lithium ions content in natural waters. The new procedure is based on the effective pre-concentration of lithium ions on the electrode surface containing spinel-type Mn(IV) oxide with the reduction of Mn(IV) to Mn(III) and consequently the lithium ions intercalation (insertion) into the spinel structure. The best DPASV response was reached for an electrode composition of 25% (m/m) spinel-type MnO2 in the paste, 0.1 mol l−1 tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane (TRIS) buffer solution of pH 8.3, scan rate of 5 mV s−1, accumulation potential of 0.3 V versus saturated calomel reference electrode (SCE), pre-concentration time of 30 s and potential pulse amplitude of 50 mV. In these experimental conditions, the proposed methodology responds to lithium ions in the concentration range of 2.8×10−6 to 2.0×10−3 mol l−1 with a detection limit of 5.6×10−7 mol l−1. The determination of the lithium ions content in different samples of natural waters samples using the proposed methodology and atomic absorption spectrophotometry are in agreement at the 95% confidence level and within an acceptable range of error.  相似文献

Silymarin is one of the most powerful natural substances that have the ability to protect and rebuild the liver cells damaged by alcohol and other toxic substances. Silymarin showed two irreversible anodic peaks in buffered solutions (pH 2.5-8.0) at either the bare carbon paste electrode or the montmorillonite-Ca modified carbon paste one. These two peaks have been attributed to oxidation of the two phenolic OH groups at positions C-20 and C-7 of silymarin molecule. A square-wave adsorptive anodic stripping voltammetry method was optimized for determination of silymarin utilizing the bare and the modified carbon paste electrodes. The method was fully validated and successfully applied for the determination of silymarin in commercial formulations and human serum without prior extraction utilizing both carbon paste electrodes. Limits of quantitation of 1 × 10−7 and 7 × 10−9 mol L−1 silymarin have been achieved in bulk form or in formulations while 2 × 10−7 and 8 × 10−9 mol L−1 silymarin were achieved in spiked human serum utilizing the bare carbon paste electrode and the modified one, respectively. The two electrodes exhibited excellent selectivity towards silymarin even in the presence of 102to 103-fold excess of its co-formulated drugs, common excipients, and common metal ions. The pharmacokinetic parameters of silymarin in plasma of healthy human volunteers were estimated following the administration of a single oral dose of 120 mg silymarin utilizing the modified carbon paste electrode. The estimated pharmacokinetic parameters were favorably compared with those reported in literature.  相似文献

A simple and precise square-wave adsorptive cathodic stripping voltammetry (SW-AdCSV) method has been described for simultaneous determination of Mn(II), Cu(II) and Fe(III) in water samples using a carbon paste electrode. In 0.1 mol L−1 acetate buffer (pH 5) containing 50 μmol L−1 of 2-(5′-bromo-2′-pyridylazo)-5-diethylaminophenol (5-Br-PADAP), Mn(II), Cu(II) and Fe(III) were simultaneously determined as metal-complexes with 5-Br-PADAP following preconcentration onto the carbon paste electrode by adsorptive accumulation at +1.0 V (vs. Ag/AgCl/3 M KCl). Insignificant interference from various cations (K+, Na+, Mg2+, Ca2+, Al3+, Bi3+, Sb3+, Se4+, Zn2+, Ni2+, Co2+, Cd2+, Pb2+, V5+, Ti4+ and NH4+), anions (HCO3, Cl, NO3−, SO42− and PO43−) and ascorbic acid was noticed. Limits of detection of 0.066, 0.108 and 0.093 μg L−1 and limits of quantitation of 0.22, 0.36 and 0.31 μg L−1 Mn(II), Cu(II) and Fe(III), respectively, were achieved by the described method. The described stripping voltammetry method was successfully applied for simultaneous determination of Mn(II), Cu(II) and Fe(III) in ground, tap and bottled natural water samples.  相似文献

A simple and highly selective electrochemical method was developed for the single or simultaneous determination of paracetamol (N-acetyl-p-aminophenol, acetaminophen) and caffeine (3,7-dihydro-1,3,7-trimethyl-1H-purine-2,6-dione) in aqueous media (acetate buffer, pH 4.5) on a boron-doped diamond (BDD) electrode using square wave voltammetry (SWV) or differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). Using DPV with the cathodically pre-treated BDD electrode, a separation of about 550 mV between the peak oxidation potentials of paracetamol and caffeine present in binary mixtures was obtained. The calibration curves for the simultaneous determination of paracetamol and caffeine showed an excellent linear response, ranging from 5.0 × 10−7 mol L−1 to 8.3 × 10−5 mol L−1 for both compounds. The detection limits for the simultaneous determination of paracetamol and caffeine were 4.9 × 10−7 mol L−1 and 3.5 × 10−8 mol L−1, respectively. The proposed method was successfully applied in the simultaneous determination of paracetamol and caffeine in several pharmaceutical formulations (tablets), with results similar to those obtained using a high-performance liquid chromatography method (at 95% confidence level).  相似文献

This work describes the development of an electrochemical sensor for simultaneous detection of Zn(II), Cd(II), and Pb(II) using a graphene–polyaniline (G/PANI) nanocomposite electrode prepared by reverse-phase polymerization in the presence of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP). Two substrate materials (plastic film and filter paper) and two nanocomposite deposition methods (drop-casting and electrospraying) were investigated. Square-wave anodic stripping voltammetry currents were higher for plastic vs. paper substrates. Performance of the G/PANI nanocomposites was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and cyclic voltammetry. The G/PANI-modified electrode exhibited high electrochemical conductivity, producing a three-fold increase in anodic peak current (vs. the unmodified electrode). The G/PANI-modified electrode also showed evidence of increased surface area under SEM. Square-wave anodic stripping voltammetry was used to measure Zn(II), Cd(II), and Pb(II) in the presence of Bi(III). A linear working range of 1–300 μg L−1 was established between anodic current and metal ion concentration with detection limits (S/N = 3) of 1.0 μg L−1 for Zn(II), and 0.1 μg L−1 for both Cd(II) and Pb(II). The G/PANI-modified electrode allowed selective determination of the target metals in the presence of common metal interferences including Mn(II), Cu(II), Fe(III), Fe(II), Co(III), and Ni(II). Repeat assays on the same device demonstrated good reproducibility (%RSD < 11) over 10 serial runs. Finally, this system was utilized for determining Zn(II), Cd(II), and Pb(II) in human serum using the standard addition method.  相似文献

The paper presents the first report on fabrication and application of a user friendly and mercury free electrochemical sensor, with the renewable bismuth bulk annular band working electrode (RBiABE), in stripping voltammetry (SV). The sensor body is partly filled with the internal electrolyte solution, in which the RBiABE is cleaned and activated before each measurement. Time of the RBiABE contact with the sample solution is precisely controlled. The usefulness of this sensor was tested by Ni(II) and Co(II) traces determination by means of differential pulse adsorptive stripping voltammetry (DP AdSV), after complexation with dimethylglyoxime (DMG) in ammonia buffer (pH 8.2). The experimental variables (composition of the supporting electrolyte, pre-concentration potential and time, potential of the RBiABE activation, and DP parameters), as well as possible interferences, were investigated. The linear calibration graphs for Ni(II) and Co(II), determined individually and together, in the range from 1 × 10−8 to 70 × 10−8 mol L−1 and from 1 × 10−9 to 70 × 10−9 mol L−1 respectively, were obtained. The calculated limit of detection (LOD), for 30 s of the accumulation time, was 3 × 10−9 mol L−1 for Ni(II) in case of a single element’s analysis, whereas the LOD was 5 × 10−9 mol L−1 for Ni(II) and 3 × 10−10 mol L−1 for Co(II), when both metal ions were measured together. The repeatability of the Ni(II) and Co(II) adsorptive stripping voltammetric signals obtained at the RBiABE were equal to 5.4% and 2.5%, respectively (n = 5). Finally, the proposed method was validated by determining Ni(II) and Co(II) in the certified reference waters (SPS-SW1 and SPS-SW2) with satisfactory results.  相似文献

A sensitive and selective electrochemical sensor based on a polyaniline modified carbon electrode for the determination of l-phenylalanine has been proposed by utilizing β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) incorporated multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWNT) and imprinted sol-gel film. The electrochemical behavior of the sensor towards l-phenylalanine was investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV), differential pulse voltammetry (DPV), and amperometric i-t curve. The surface morphologies of layer-by-layer assembly electrodes were displayed by scanning electron microscope (SEM). The response mechanism of the imprinted sensor for l-phenylalanine was based on the inclusion interaction of β-CD and molecular recognition capacity of the imprinted film for l-phenylalanine. A linear calibration plot was obtained covering the concentration range from 5.0 × 10−7 to 1.0 × 10−4 mol L−1 with a detection limit of 1.0 × 10−9 mol L−1. With excellent sensitivity, selectivity, stability, reproducibility and recovery, the electrochemical imprinted sensor was used to detect l-phenylalanine in blood plasma samples successfully.  相似文献

The voltammetric behaviour of chloroquine was investigated at carbon paste and dsDNA-modified carbon paste electrodes in different buffer systems over a wide pH range using cyclic and differential pulse voltammetry. Chloroquine was oxidized in the pH range 2.0-11.0 yielding one irreversible main oxidation peak. A second peak was also observed only in the pH range 5.0-7.0. The modification of the carbon paste surface with dsDNA allowed a preconcentration process to take place for chloroquine such that higher sensitivity was achieved as compared with the bare surface. The response was characterized with respect to solution pH, ionic strength, accumulation time and potential, chloroquine concentration, and other variables. Stripping voltammetric response showed a linear calibration curve in the range 1.0 × 10−7 to 1.0 × 10−5 mol l−1 with a detection limit of 3.0 × 10−8 mol l−1 at the dsDNA-modified electrode. Application of the modified electrode to serum, without sample pretreatment, resulted in good recovery higher than 95% and the higher standard deviation was 3.0%.  相似文献
