A theory of coherent X-ray radiation from a relativistic electron crossing an artificial periodic layered structure in the Laue scattering geometry is constructed. The expressions describing the spectral-angular radiation parameters are obtained. It is shown that the radiation yield in such a medium may substantially exceed the radiation yield in a crystal under analogous conditions.  相似文献

A theory of coherent X-ray radiation from a relativistic electron crossing a combined medium that consists of amorphous and crystal plates is constructed within the dynamic diffraction theory. The field reflection asymmetry relative to the target surface determined by the angle between the atomic planes and the target surface is taken into account in the theory. The dynamic theory of the coherent X-ray radiation of a divergent beam of relativistic electrons generated in a single-crystal wafer under conditions of the multiple scattering of incident particles is developed. Radiation cross sections are averaged over the divergent beam of rectilinear trajectories of electrons. Expressions describing the spectral-angular characteristics of parametric X-ray radiation and diffracted transition radiation under conditions of multiple scattering are obtained. Conditions under which the contribution of diffracted brehmsstrahlung can be disregarded are shown, and the spectral-angular characteristics of parametric X-ray radiation and diffracted transition radiation are calculated numerically for such conditions.  相似文献

Based on the dynamic scattering theory, forward parametric x-ray radiation (FPXR) of a relativistic electron is investigated in a single crystal plate in a Bragg scattering geometry. An analysis is presented of the parametric X-ray radiation emitted by a relativistic electron at a small angle to its velocity as it passes through a single-crystal plate in asymmetric Laue geometry (including symmetric geometry as a particular case). Expressions describing the spectral-angular distributions of parametric X-ray radiation, transition radiation, and their interference are obtained. Analytic expressions describing the spectral-angular distribution of parametric X-radiation (PXR) and diffracted transient radiation (DTR) of a relativistic electron traversing a single-crystal plate in the Bragg scattering geometry are derived on the basis of the two-wave approximation of the dynamic diffraction theory. The expressions are obtained in the general case of asymmetric reflection of a particle’s field relative to the surface of the crystal plate. It is shown that in the given geometry, a significant increase of the PXR angular density is possible due to the dynamic effect of PXR spectral broadening. The conditions for an increase in the DTR spectrum width, which causes a considerable increase of the DTR angular density, are derived. The possibility of the most pronounced manifestation of the Bormann dynamic effect in PXR is demonstrated for a thick absorptive crystal.  相似文献

Polarization-dependent spatial beam profiles of femtosecond X-ray pulses generated by a laser Compton scheme were measured. The X-ray pulses were generated by the interaction at an angle of 90° between 100-fs laser light and a 3-ps, 3π-mm mrad electron beam. The polarization of the laser light was linear in two different directions, either parallel or perpendicular to the electron beam axis. Measurements of the velocity angular distribution of a relativistic electron beam (0.8 MV, 6 kA, 150 ns) after propagation through hydrogen gas are presented. At a pressure of 25 Pa scattering of the beam electrons into a preferential angular interval is observed. At 190 Pa anomalously large scattering is observed, up to an angular width of 90°, during about 30 ns.  相似文献

It is shown that multiple scattering is of significant importance in the formation of the line width of parametric X-ray “backward” radiation of relativistic electrons in a crystal. A theory of the line width of this radiation based on the functional integration method is suggested. The problem of multiple scattering effects on parametric X-ray radiation is shown to be similar to the problem of the Landau-Pomeranchuk-Migdal multiple scattering effect on the bremsstrahlung of high-energy electrons in an amorphous medium.  相似文献

对入射等离子体的相对论电子注(REB)在离子通道中可能产生切连科夫(Cherenkov)辐射的问题进行了论证与研究.利用线性理论分析了离子背景下的注-波互作用关系,导出了系统的色散方程与同步辐射条件.结果表明,系统的电磁不稳定性是由离子通道中TM模与电子注模通过电子注耦合所致,其微观机理是离子对电子注的聚焦.对处于运动等离子体状态下的离子-注系统进行了严格地理论分析,获得了通道内辐射波的频偏与波增长率公式,并通过数值模拟计算讨论了系统有关参数对它们的影响. 关键词: 离子通道 等离子体 切连科夫辐射  相似文献

The spectrum of coherent transition radiation has been recorded with the use of a Martin–Puplett interferometer. It has been shown that the spectrum includes monochromatic lines that are caused by the modulation of an electron beam with the frequency of an accelerating radio-frequency field νRF and correspond to resonances at ν k = kνRF k ≤ 10. To determine the length of an electron bunch from the measurement of the spectrum from a single bunch, it is necessary to use a spectrometer with the resolution Δνsp > νRF.  相似文献

Theoretical analysis and numerical simulations of the Relativistic Electron Beam (REB) generation in a high current diode immersed in an external magnetic field has been done. The calculations have confirmed that the generated beam is homogeneous and monoenergetic in a broad central region. In the case of cylindrical diode the mixing of electron trajectories has been observed only in a narrow periphery beam region. The angle between particle trajectories and external longitudinal magnetic field varies chaotically from 0° to –25°. This phenomenon suppresses the excitation of two stream instability excited by the REB in the plasma column.  相似文献

The monochromaticity of the Smith-Purcell optical radiation generated by a 75-keV electron beam with a final emittance of ε = 0.65 × 10?4 mm rad that passes over a grating with a period of D = 0.833 μm has been analyzed. It has been shown that the monochromaticity of Smith-Purcell radiation is determined not only by the angular aperture of a monochromator but also by the divergence of the electron beam.  相似文献
